  1. -------------------------------------------Subject to change as story and characters develop-------------------------------------------
  2.
  3. STARDUCK CRUSADERS
  4.
  5. 「INTRO」
  6. Tom is relaxing in the local joint, soaking in the jazz, enjoying a good cigar.
  7. Suddenly his long time rival, Jerry, busts into the scene, he's probably expecting the usual trouble.
  8. But Tom notices something off about him.
  9. They would start with banter then ease into fisticuffs but Jerry's demeanor was much more hysterical.
  10. He's constantly talking about himself and not being as humble as Tom knows him to be.
  11. The attitude pisses Tom off and he gets ready to throw down with Jerry but there's an ominous energy about him that's almost like a shadow constantly following him.
  12. Jerry overwhelms Tom until the heat of the moment allows Tom to unleash 「ONE MORE TIME」for the first time.
  13. The tables are turned and Jerry is taken down once and for all thanks to this new power.
  14. Before Jerry bites the dust he warns Tom of an ominous presence that's shaking up the entire area.
  15. Tom says his final goodbyes and storms out feeling the worst is to come, the only thought on his mind being his honey who may or may not be in danger.
  16. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  17.
  18. If Tom's going to jump around the world he'll need a steady source of income
  19. Someone connected to the Hill foundation (I think that's what we went with) who can finance the operation. He'll have to go to the Top.
  20. Top Cat is well respected as a humanitarian who spends much time working with the homeless and downtrodden.
  21. Actually searching for stand users, the Foundation is trying to find them before they go rogue.
  22. He suspects there's an outside force manipulating users but can't be sure.
  23. Tom blows him off until bad things happen to his waifu.
  24. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  25.
  26. Tom's motivation is to cure his girlfriend
  27. Doesn't really care about too much else
  28. He's selfish, but he's also the good guys' best chance at stopping Daffy, which is why they help each other
  29. Throughout the series Tom is focused on saving his girl, but aside from that, is a bit of a prick
  30. May be nicer to his allies later but still largely a prick.
  31.
  32. Daffy is a combination of both Dio and Kira. His ego is one that rivals Dio's; however, his desires are more of a life of relative peace than world domination and hedonism. It just so happens that he also wants someone to talk to, with the caveat that the only person he can stand having a conversation with is himself. He hates the cacophony of modern life and wants to go back to a simpler time. He wants to replace noisy jazz with sweet serenades. A world where everyone "sits on their balalaikas" and "plays their samovars". This apparent hypocrisy of his own eclectic tendencies is one of his character flaws.
  33. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  34.
  35. >everyone that Tom and co investigate on the matter claim that they work only for themselves despite evidence that someone is controlling them
  36.
  37.
  38.
  39. >Tom and whatever allies he's gathered up to this point reach Agrabah searching for Daffy
  40. >hear rumors of a genie granting wishes with horrible consequences
  41. >Tom figures it's a stand, investigates
  42. >at first all signs point to Aladdin
  43. >turns out it's actually Jafar with his stand [Arabian Nights]
  44. >Tom and co. fight Jafar, on the brink of losing
  45. >Aladdin appears at the last second and reveals his stand [Friend Like Me]
  46. >Aladdin and Jafar duel, Jafar loses either to Aladdin or to Tom after Aladdin's distraction
  47. >Tom asks Aladdin to join after the duel, Aladdin agrees (maybe because Daffy got to Jasmine?)
  48. >Arabian Nights looks like Jafar's genie form from the movie. Like [Friend Like Me], it is tied to its lamp, not the user.
  49. >[Friend Like Me] and [Arabian Nights] are basically twins of each other, and their powers are similar. The main difference is while [Friend Like Me] uses positive energy to activate [STAR], [Arabian Nights] uses negative energy, which results in monkey's paw wishes
  50. >[Arabian Nights] doesn't have to recharge after 3 wishes, but its wishes have the same rules as [Friend Like Me], including not being able to interfere with another stand's powers, and of course they all come with a horrible twist
  51. >Jafar could be defeated by being tricked by the heroes into making a wish for himself, which goes wrong in the middle of the fight and allows the heroes to kill him
  52.
  53.
  54. >at one point the heroes nearly catch Daffy in full view, either in a dark location or on a TV monitor. they capture the mook who was just talking to him and pressure him relentlessly
  55. >"WHO WAS THAT JUST NOW?"
  56. >"I-it was me..."
  57. >"CUT THE BULLSHIT! WE'RE NOT LETTING YOU GO UNTIL YOU GIVE US INFORMATION!"
  58. >"I'm telling you that was LITERALLY ME!!!"
  59. >dramatic closeup
  60. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  61.
  62.
  63.
  64.
  65. >Daffy visits the Eds and uses his powers to convince them that they need to stop Tom
  66. >after the fight, Edd and Eddy insist it was their idea
  67. >Ed disagrees, insists it was "the duck". they ignored this before because they thought it was him being weird about birds again
  68. >Ed was using his stand on himself when Daffy visited because he was bored, as such he was inadvertently partially immune to [La Cucaracha]'s powers because he wasn't completely listening to what Daffy was saying.
  69. >Ergo, he retained enough control to remember Daffy's true face
  70. >Tom begins searching for someone fitting that description
  71. >Daffy, realizing that someone is on his trail, unlocks Act 2 under the pressure
  72.
  73.
  74.
  75. >Snoopy is fought. he's one of the last villains before the final encounter
  76. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  77.
  78. CLIMAX
  79. >Daffy's egotism and resulting desire to escape are shown through the evolution of his stand from Act 1 to Act 2 to Carolina in the Morning. It is the ultimate manifestation of his aspiration to mold a world in his own image. How Daffy utilizes it is an allusion to the escapism of fanfiction and, by association, this project.
  80. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  81.
  82. >Daffy has lost all of his clones in a previous battle
  83. >he retreats to his study and his desperation prompts him to use the day's remaining wish from Aladdin's lamp
  84. >he wishes to have the clarity of mind to figure out what he needs to do to persevere against that fucking cat.
  85. >Upon entering this state, Daffy's thoughts are utterly unclouded.
  86. >He knows what path it is he must walk to realize his desire for utopia and survival.
  87. >It's not merely enough to change the world he lives in, but to change the thoughts that others have impressed upon the world.
  88. >Thinking back to his days as a youth, realizing that library he grew up in was filled with the thoughts of others.
  89. >But Daffy was much more than their thoughts, he was an individual with enough power to show others his own vision, regardless of how little they truly comprehended.
  90. >He then realizes the true potential of himself to unlock 「Carolina In The Morning」, allowing him to alter the strongest thoughts one can leave: thoughts that can be passed to others through themes and morals.
  91.
  92.
  93.
  94.
  95.
  96. >Tom is left without any allies and pursues him
  97. >before he would have stopped at getting his girl back but now he has a sense of obligation to finish Daffy off
  98. >he is lured into a book world where Daffy has prepared to ambush him
  99. >[insert arduous fight with many clones]
  100. >Tom is put in the ropes and is forced to use 「IS YOU IS」
  101. >it doesn't work and he is injured heavily
  102. >determined to succeed or die trying, he thinks back to all of his interactions with Daffy
  103. >putting himself into the mindset of the villain, he activates 「IS YOU IS」once again and uses it to play a simple and nostalgic tune
  104. >Daffy realizes in surprise that this trick was effective but doesn't seem concerned
  105. >until Tom uses his 「REQUEST」to make one of the clones point out the original Daffy
  106. >proceeds to DOOT DOOT the absolute shit out of him
  107. >Daffy slumps over in defeat and says he regrets his choices. he asks to be killed swiftly
  108. >Tom, stone-faced, "Okay."
  109. >he goes in for the final blow
  110. >"Cut! What's wrong with you!? Where's the passion? The pathos? You're ruining a perfectly good dramatic scene! You ruin EVERYTHING!!"
  111.
  112.
  113. >Daffy had planned it all from the start
  114. >the book they were currently were inside was one that HE had written
  115. >and in this book, Daffy can't die
  116.
  117. >he doesn't like Tom's "performance" so he literally rewrites it to be hilariously melodramatic
  118. >Tom goes for the killing blow, tears coming from his eyes for seemingly no reason
  119. >Daffy sucker punches him
  120. >"Oh Thomas. You look confused. Don't you understand that nothing could be sweeter than [CAROLINA IN THE MORNING]..."
  121.
  122.
  123. >he rips the trumpet from 「ONE MORE TIME」and snaps it, throwing it to the ground
  124. >gives Tom a fatal wound. Tom falls to the ground and his Stand dissipates
  125. >the Daffy clones all keep their eyes on him while deriding him
  126. >the original lifts his head up in victorious laughter
  127. >he lifts his hand to face to wipe off a tear
  128. >then he notices
  129. >「ONE MORE TIME」is sitting there, wrapped around the 「CORNER」of his folded arm
  130. >Tom had fallen on top of the broken trumpet in order to conceal that it hadn't disappeared and arranged it to form a corner
  131. >with his sheer number of clones triggering OMT's ability, it gains unrivaled power
  132. >at the same time, Daffy's rage boils more intensely than molten lava
  133. >in his fury, he tears his book
  134. >OMT exploits the tear and rips the book world completely in half
  135.
  136.
  137. >Daffy is ripped out of his「CAROLINA IN THE MORNING」
  138. >Tom, on the brink of death and lacking a working trumpet, doesn't have the means to DOOT DOOT him, but bluffs and warns Daffy not to try anything else
  139. >Daffy is completely dumbfounded as to how his plans have all been ruined
  140. >He also isn't used to not having a puppet or clone around to reassure himself
  141. >Tom can sense his discomfort and lies again that backup is on the way
  142. >He proceeds to further prod Daffy into self-doubt, calling him weak and without a real sense of identity
  143. >In order to seal the deal, he activates 「IS YOU IS?」one final time
  144. >His Stand sings
  145. >It's crude, obnoxious, and flat
  146. >It is unclear whether or not his ability truly activates but Tom decides to pretend that it has either way
  147. >"My request is simply this. Ask yourself...「is you is」or 「is you ain't」a man?"
  148. >Daffy loses it, becomes unsure of himself for the first time in his life, and warps out of existence
  149.
  150.
  151.
  152.
  153.
  154.
  155. >Tom returns to his gal after his fight with Jerry, but notices she's acting strange too, talking in a weird Russian accent.
  156. >She goes out of control after Tom puts on one of his favorite jazz tunes, she goes on and on about how music is so different in her native willage. One word in her rant stands out to Tom, 「CUCARACHA」.
  157. >She passes out from exhaustion and Tom takes her to the hospital, he waits for news outside, smoking a cigar, when his attention is mysteriously drawn to a run down looking lemonade stand, a sign "Ed-o-gee Drinks" hangs above it.
  158. >Thoughts of his gal gone, he heads over to the shoddy stand, run by Ed, Edd and Eddy. When he wonders why he came over to the stand in the first place, the Eds become nervous and quickly blow their cover, attacking Tom.
  159. >A fight ensues that I'm too lazy to write the details of, I'm sure it's exciting.
  160. >Tom wins and questions the Ed boys. They explain that they were hired by a mysterious, very wealthy duck to kill Tom. When Tom asks if they were paid in advance, Eddy loses his shit. They weren't, they got fucking scammed.
  161. >The Eds offer to go with Tom in their own quest to get the money they deserve back, seeing how powerful they are, and that they know of this mysterious duck, he agrees.
  162. >Their search of a wealthy duck begins with Scrooge McDuck and they set off on their journey, Tom's gal still suffering from the stand's effects.
  163.
  164. >at some point Aladdin dies, his final words are about Jasmine
  165. >after Daffy is defeated once and for all, [FRIEND LIKE ME] reveals it technically can break one of its three rules at the cost of self-destructing and is willing to bring one of Tom's allies back
  166. >Tom's other allies agree it should be his decision
  167. >Tom considers bringing back Johnny or his waifu, but brings back Aladdin instead
  168. >Aladdin revived, tearful goodbye between him and [FRIEND LIKE ME]
  169. >after Tom's crew says their goodbyes Tom starts to walk away
  170. >one of his team stops him
  171. >"Of all the people you could have saved... why Aladdin?"
  172. >"He has someone at home who loves him. Hate to disappoint her."
  173. >Tom walks off without another word
  174. >end part 3
