  1. It's not that she doesn't want to see things exactly as they happen. It's just that she prefers to remember them in an artistic way - and truthfully, the lie of it all is much more honest, because she invented it. The necessity and need to cope with her surroundings by the passions of the Rowan's body. The need to cling to him for the sake of not losing herself to the occultic madness or inability to truly control the fires that burn within her soul and yet. . .There are times like these where she contradicts everything that she wants stands for. And although she blushes, she does remind him of one thing..
  2.
  3. "You shouldn't talk like that, Arthur Bei. We both know how that'll end." A gentle nibble, a slight intensifying blush. But eventually, even her own hand would join his - covering the top as she speaks. "I'll be ready for it, as long as you are." However, back tothe body..
  4.
  5. Yes, the body. Ahem.
  6.
  7. "I just think that you were too excited to do everything at once. But I think that you should try. While you do that, I'll be practicing my own magics as well. It's...Harder than I imagine." Elren made it seem terribly easy, but, infusing one's self with their star is extremely difficult.
  8. (Bei Bei)
  9.
  10. That's something he'd get back at her about later on.
  11.
  12. As much as such indulgence between them was quite neat and fun, he had to focus on something else - precisely, on actually resurrecting an animal, no matter how big or small. At least, something would be good to start with, right?
  13.
  14. "Hm... I think I just know where I might find something to practice on."
  15.
  16. His eyes turned to the ground. This was no cultivated area, and the distance to the sandy shore was quite large- in fact, the forest was just behind them, so that meant a wandering creature could likely to be encountered. He decided to try his luck.
  17.
  18. A concentrated blast of Arcane energy was sent rolling forth, immediately ripping apart the ground, upheaving every single bit of it, and essentially, killing anything that may be found within- there were mostly insects, worms, and the small creatures like that... but his sights caught something else.
  19.
  20. A mole?
  21.
  22. Pulling the animal closer through the influence of winds and telekinesis, Arthur rested the body of a dead animal right infront of him. The body didn't seem too damaged- most of Arcane's impact was taken by the ground itself, but no doubt it's organs were squashed within. Ouch...
  23.
  24. "I think this should do."
  25. (Arthur Rowan)
  26.
  27. Trouble.
  28.
  29. It is not something that she often looks forward to- especially, when she pits herself against the might of the Rowan. She finds that they are strange within that matter - two polar opposites often colliding with one another. A part of the competition between the two isn't just about establishing dominance over the other...But about the many victories that are savored. And to be quite frank, she enjoys dangling her little victories over his head- especially, since she knows that they aren't easy to come by. But to digress..
  30.
  31. "There's a laboratory actuall-..!"
  32.
  33. It seemed that she was too late. Once again, does she notice the destructive power of the mind - her gaze fluttering in idle thought, hands steadily clasping together in what seems to be nothing but surprise. He is...Much more than what she would have expected.
  34.
  35. In the end though...This seemed, well, to be the better and lazier option of doing things. A gentle laugh spills past her lips as she murmurs a few things under her breath. "It's...Going to take me awhile to get used to that." Shamefully but..."That'll do. So, let's start off again, right?" she states.
  36.
  37. "It's best to do things in reverse from what I remember so ahh-....What were the major points again?" Maybe, this would help her within her own advancements.
  38. (Bei Bei)
  39.
  40. --He totally forgot.
  41.
  42. The fact that there is a laboratory for them was, in fact, skipped over. Amidst that moment, the blast takes off, if only to reap the ground through and through- perhaps it was not necessary for the mole to die, but alas... it's just a small critter anyway, isn't it? There's no harm in such sacrifice for all of investment that he'd be able to pull off in the future.
  43.
  44. "Well... I suppose we'll have to stick with this."
  45.
  46. "As for the main points, it's brain, heart, spinal cord and stomach, in their respective importance. Good thing it doesn't look like too much of it was damaged, or... at least I think so."
  47.
  48. In reality, a lot of internal organs were quite a mess. Even if Arthur was successful in resurrecting the critter, there would still be several issues to be dealt with - and no doubt that the said creature would be unable to actually live on as normal. Instead, put in position to live out its final moments as undead.
  49.
  50. "I'll begin concentrating, then. You can start your own practice, if you'd like."
  51.
  52. Now, what was it that Cho said?
  53.
  54. To concentrate the mana flow upon the circuits, and slowly fuel them to bring the life back to the life. Arthur sharply inhales, and his hands rest upon the body of recently deceased mole- it's time to begin the ritual.
  55. (Arthur Rowan)
  56.
  57. She knows that there is no true reason to doubt the Rowan when in reality, the power that he holds goes far beyond what she would have normally imagined. To think that he could cause destruction with just an idle thought - and then brush it off as if it were nothing had actually frightened her in the worst way. Delving into the arcane magics seemed to be...Something that caused a magi to not only become more sensitive to the world's sensations, but...Also, powerful to the point of having immeasurable capabilities. It makes her wonder how she would be seen when standing at his side. Could she be just as feared or...Would there be more to this story than what she might expect?
  58.
  59. "Right."
  60.
  61. With that being said...It seems that she was intent on not becoming a 'distraction' to him within this pertinent moments, so...After a light kiss upon the cheek of the Rowan, she would drift to stand at the ocean and begin her own type of training. Where the smoke would billow off of her form constantly...Where she pushes her body to the limits through fire and douses out that same energy through the cosm.
  62.
  63. Starting at the head. She begins- channeling her mana to the specified point...Not just imagining, but creating a breach. A direct gateway to her star as she goes on.... Opening and assessing more ways to get into contact and 'keep' proxima closer than ever. However, there is one thing on her mind..
  64.
  65. "Hey-...If there is anything that you can change right now, what would it be?" Just that simple, really.
  66. (Bei Bei)
  67.
  68. There's no telling just what sort of things this indulgence in these magics will bring.
  69.
  70. Of course, he had somewhat good intentions - to purge the corruption, or learn how to recycle it, and also get rid of the undead slaves. Then, to also make sure that the undead are risen as rotless beings, something that was already done, and yet it was at the highest cost there is, the divinity of Spires.
  71.
  72. A shame. It's a dream of his to surpass such limits, to ensure that the masses could actually benefit from the Necromancy as a broadly used thing, and for the people outside of Valmasia to understand just how useful Necromancy can be. Perhaps, some of these dreams are aloof - after all, some, like Gehennans, were born to combat the Necromancy, such as Naguals.
  73.
  74. "Good luck out there."
  75.
  76. The scarlet hues set upon the dead mole infront of him after a spared kiss coming from her, and the focus was beginning to come through. It was all about the types ofcasting, when it comes to the basics of magics, right?
  77.
  78. And so he began. The mana itself was drawn upon through Symbolic ends, through his desire to change the world itself... at some point, perhaps even reach the Divinity he dreamed of for so much.
  79.
  80. The ritual was starting.
  81. (Arthur Rowan)
  82.
  83. "...?"
  84.
  85. She finds herself beginning to grow silent in the after thought. The question that she had asked falls upon deaf ears...Which she actually expected. He was always methodical within that manner. Easily able to shut the world out in order to self-train himself and his own abilities. And because of that, she prepares everything that she possibly can. Brilliance, impossible power, flexing. There is a moment where she keeps herself standing still while she begins her own technique.
  86.
  87. Inhale.
  88.
  89. Everything blossoms into fruition - the world around her beginning to pulse with heavy humidity as she stands. Amethyst flames spiral, as if forming a crown above her features before steadily drifting lower and lower around her body...Drifting down towards her heart and then to her stomach.
  90.
  91. Exhale.
  92.
  93. Smoke rolls forth within the moment -the corrupted mana rolling through muscles, forcing them to flex as if she were fighting yet again....The harsh burns and scales appearing upon her features from 'accessing' the forbidden. Again. And again. And again would the lights flicker on and off as she attempts to find 'balance' within herself.
  94. (Bei Bei)
  95.
  96. This wasn't going to be as simple as he thought.
  97.
  98. Practising on a crystal, a durable body that cannot be broken is one thing, but practising on an actual flesh, on a dead animal like this? It's completely another. Overcharge it with your mana, and he'd have to repeat the unfortunate event that everyone witnessed back in the classroom - the corpse explodes, the mana circuits are permamently fried, and there's no use to even try again.
  99.
  100. He kept that in mind. A small sigh rolled, escaping his lips, and once he'd drawn upon the mana resource from within, the Cognitive processes were used in order to actually employ the magic into action. Forcing the mana to course through his mana circuits and then visualizing the inner workings infront of him, the mana circuits of deceased mole were slowly being fed Rowan's mana, tugging at it's soul and slowly but surely bringing the body back to life.
  101.
  102. 'In tact with heartbeat's rhythm.'
  103.
  104. It's something he needed to keep in mind. To make sure that he does not explode the corpse once more was important - the flow of mana was kept steady, and within the silence which he encased himself in, each heartbeat he felt represented yet another surge, made to fuel the mole.
  105.
  106. A twitch.
  107.
  108. Something was happening. Arthur's efforts were, in fact, not in vain at all- perhaps it's his persistence to learn the Necromancy at last, or his natural talent, but the body of a mole was changing, slowly and surely coming back to motion. It's happening.
  109. (Arthur Rowan)
  110.
  111. She finds a method within the matter. If she becomes rooted within her breathing, then she becomes rooted within the technique. Within the moment - as she calls upon the power of the fire to course through her veins...She uses the opportunity to infuse herself with the cosm yet again. A glimmering light against the obsidian flames. A moment, where she mimics the sun in nature and eases the cosm's way into her body, soothing the tensing muscles and yet, allowing the contractions to become that much more violent when chosen. Mastery over the element meant that she wouldn't have to put everything on the line for a devastating blow, when she can simply put her all in it...Without the need to harm herself.
  112.
  113. Swing.
  114.
  115. The first kick is tinged with flames and gold - arching brilliantly over the waters themselves. Swing. A second time, the world's energies bursting through her body...But still, not to the point of what was required. The training, the necessity....
  116.
  117. She grasps the concept, but executing it to the point of overflow is not something that she is capable of doing. For now, she keeps herself starting slow and simple...merely, charging her attacks with cosmic magic before 'releasing' it...As if one would fire a 'beam' of some sort.
  118. (Bei Bei)
  119.
  120. There's a chill in the air.
  121.
  122. Bringing back the dead wasn't exactly in terms with Lifestream, and that much was already known- it's something that he always knew, something that he wanted to fix in the first place, but there were sacrifices needed to be done in order to achieve that sort of thing in the future. For now, it appears he would need to embrace the very same corruption he seems to defeat.
  123.
  124. But would he? That's yet unknown.
  125.
  126. Once the magical workings of Rowan began to settle in the body of deceased animal, it at last began to move its limbs, slowly but surely awakening from the slumber that was death. Its eyes pried open, its mouth slowly, languidly opening as reflection to Arthur's will, still an imperfect technique, but- it's way better than literally exploding corpses, isn't it?
  127.
  128. He needed to focus better.
  129.
  130. The scarlet hues were halfway closed, the eyelids lowering themselves at the tension of concentration. 'Come on... get up.' - a single thought that crossed his mind amidst the attempt of resurrection, as all of his powerful mana was put under a test in this single moment.
  131.
  132. Breathe in, breathe out. He can do it. A final push is due.
  133. (Arthur Rowan)
  134.
  135. While not mastering the technique, she seemed to be rather satisfied with the results. With the first time ending in utter failure against Willow - she believes that this...This would definitely allow her to put her foot in the door. She would just have to steadily combine her magics in the manner that Elren had said and find balance amongst the impossible fires and the soothing cosm above. If only briefly though, would she begin to turn in place...
  136.
  137. With fires dying out, the uncanny chill of death rolls forward - sending chills up her spine while she awaits in anticipation. As wrong as it is, she imagines that the little rodent might implode from the magics of the Rowan, especially since he was so powerful but..
  138.
  139. He's already exceeded her expectations though, but perhaps, it's just her looking for a flaw within his own perfect work. Surely though, with the amount of times he's practiced...Such a thing doesn't exist.
  140.
  141. ..Good.
  142. (Bei Bei)
  143.
  144. The breakthrough was in.
  145.
  146. For all this practice that it was worth, at last, he was capable of reaching the necessary lengths in order to actually grasp the Art of Necromancy this early- to resurrect even a small animal would be quite the success to have. From there on, he could move on to bigger ones, and eventually the human body too.
  147.
  148. That's how they learn it anyway, don't they?
  149.
  150. With the final surge of mana that was offered to the deceased mole, the breath of life returned to it once more - at last, it stood up, its limbs wriggling about as the undead mole attempts to scan its surroundings, its mouth burrowing into the ground as it seems to try and test the ground on its own.
  151.
  152. "It worked..?"
  153.
  154. A smile crooked over his face. It was the first ever contribution from him to the corruption all around Valmasia, but alas, it was a necessary evil, at least in his eyes. The more he knows about Necromancy, the more he would be ableto actually recycle that corruption in the future, right?
  155.
  156. Remains to be seen.
  157.
  158. "I did it, Bei. It's alive."
  159. (Arthur Rowan)
