(DnD) Shoma's True Backstory

It all started with the sound of broken glass and a boy waking up to investigate. However, his parents told him to not come out of his room until he was told to. The boy waited but decided to disobey his parents to try and see what was going on. What he saw was the sight of a man who wielded a kind of Japanese sword and the slain figures of his parents on the ground. The boy foolishly grabbed a nearby baseball bat and tried to attack the robber but was disarmed with ease and almost killed before the sounds of the police sirens filled the air. The man scoffed before calling the boy weak and told to get stronger should he want to protect those he cared for. At his parents' funeral though, the boy was reserved and didn't cry once, his mind set on becoming stronger as he was moved to his aunt and uncle's place.

Try as he may though, he could never get to be as strong as he wanted. No matter what exercise or workout regimens he did, he never achieved his goal in the physical world. In the Digital World of EDEN however, he was able to escape reality and pretend to be his ideal self. This was reigned in however when he met a girl who managed to break him out of his shell; an upperclassman named Mayuri. The boy cared deeply for her and wanted to do anything to be a supportive friend or even something more. He changed his look, stopped his self-destructive behavior, and even tried to be supportive of others in their affairs. All that changed the day the girl he admired was put in a hospital. (tbc)
