  4. I don’t know about anyone else, but given our definitions of what gods, or even demigods are, I’d like to think this theory is correct, more or less.
  5.
  6. To me, Minecraft is a game that, essentially, does place you in the perspective of a god/demigod (regardless of the character skin you choose) because of two very simple aspects:
  7.
  8. 1. Nearly everything you can do in Minecraft is easy.
  9.
  10. 2. You can build onto and/or destroy parts of your worlds with ease and within relatively short amounts of time.
  11.
  12. Key words here are “easy” and “time”.
  13.
  14. Like, just think about it;
  15.
  16. Minecraft is not that hard of a game, even on harder difficulties, because, on any difficulty, you can very easily affect the world you’re placed in, in either a positive or negative manner;
  17.
  18. It’s just that, on harder difficulties, you’re likely to “respawn” much more often.
  19.
  20. Frankly, for example, you could build a very simple house in Minecraft in under an hour.
  21.
  22. However, in real life, it’s harder and it takes much, much longer, coupled with the fact that you need food and sleep, which only lengthens the time it takes to build by days, weeks, or months.
  23.
  24. And this example is only considering what some would call a “simple” house.
  25.
  26. Overall, I would say beings (with slightly more power than humans) that can do nearly anything with ease could, technically, classify as a god/demigod;
  27.
  28. And Minecraft, as we all know, is a game where we, the players, can very much build anything with (relative) ease.
  29.
  30. Anything at all.
  31.
  32. So, yeah, this is quite the video game, isn’t it?
  33.
  34. :P
