- There were many unexpected things that I found on waking up in Greece. Finding my beam saber at my side, looking as though it had undergone some curious changes, was one of them - the blade had formerly been green, but now it was the color of sunlight, and no longer sounded like a knockoff lightsaber. And it seemed to fit my eight foot frame rather better too, rather than seeming like it was designed for a five foot tall reploid. It could even light up an area quite nicely, which was nice. A flaming sword that turned every way. Or beam saber with fire effects, anyway.
- When I finally met back up with Demona, who had ended up several miles away, I found that she'd been altered again as well - not much, but now she's able to channel magic directly with her talons when she's a gargoyle. And summon pseudo-elemental minions of whatever type of magic she's using. Nice, but this has unnerving implications to me - while I often came across interesting things while in a place, sometimes I simply found my tools altered. To say nothing of having knowledge just shoved into my head or otherworldly abilities.
- At what point did I become okay with this? Or was I just too distracted by moving between worlds to pay attention? At first I thought it was putting me on the path to be some sort of hero, but I can literally hear when people pray to me now. I can empower those who believe in me. Heck, I have an actual afterlife full of people who believed in life that I was a deity and worshipped me. Guess going Emperor of Mankind had an effect after all.
- And now I'm here, among actual Greek gods, and yet I somehow find them... lacking. Oh, they have power, but they wield it with as much subtlety as a toddler who throws a tantrum every time he doesn't get his way. And then, if memory serves, they're about to screw Kratos over for the hell of it. Like so many other people they screw over for the hell of it. Well, let's see what we can do about that.
- Actually this explains a lot about why people stopped worshipping the Greek gods, in retrospect...
