  782. As much as he enjoyed their gap in strength compared to one being on par with the kitsune, there was little enthusiasm to be found when they engaged. "Sloppy," he scoffed, striking forward when the swordsman clumsily lunged in - meeting his charge with a wall of thick flames, deep red in coloration... matching the rubies that floated around Asbel and terrorized him...

  784. "Weak." He meets the slash of that heavy greatsword with his own crimson blade, conjuring the object out of the air; a dozen more join the lonesome projectile, slicing forward.

  786. Each brief exchange on the sands had Isaac come out on top, flying overhead with beats of his black-feathered wings. And wherever he went, helfire rained down from above - blasts of flame, sharp, jagged bloodstones, intertwining... Then, finally, he ends it with a single push, both of hishands jolting forward, palms flat.

  788. The heat rises up from the beach, entrapping Asbel, and with it, the ruby bloodstones that had acculimate spear into him all at once, getting lost in his skin and muscle. They tear right through the kitsune, disabling him.

  790. Isaac floats down with a soft flutter of black wings, landing to frown at the Invidia. "Are you ready to die, now? You'd better serve as one of Sors' undead."

  794. [15:17] Tsu smiled behind her mask, then looked left and right at all those on the ledge. That smiled faded and she turned her gaze back to Reito. Slowly, she looked down at Isaac and Asbel. Hey eyes narrowed.

  815. [15:25] Asbel was clearly pissed the whole time. Swinging his blade even when he couldn't see past the fire, which his bulky magma armor not helping much either. It seemed like it even obscured his vision. How counter-productive.

  817. This was clearly not the ideal battlefield, as he had trouble avoiding even the most narrow-reaching attacks that Isaac had on offer. It resulted in many, many of those bloodstones finding themselves lodged in his body.

  819. The cumulation of it all lead ultimately to him being impaled by all of them, the thick shell of magma he wore shattering as he could no longer muster the mana to maintain it. He was left a bloody mess, knelt down in the sand in fatigue. Breath heavy, and vision blurry, he still had a scowl on his face as he heard those words.

  821. Right here? This was where his anger always got him.

  823. Someone with a cocky jab at him, looming in front. Arrogant taunts being thrown.

  825. It made him see red. All he wanted to do was stand upright and start swinging again, no matter whether he knew the outcome would be the same or not. Just like Lugonqi, or Vaan, or Tih-Noctem.

  829. Every movement was a struggle, as he forced himself onto his feet. Holes in his flesh filled with shrapnel made the slightest of body functions, like the contracting and extension of limbs, pure hell.

  833. He gripped onto his blade and brought it upright from the sand where it'd fell.

  837. Cackling laughter spliced with fits of coughing up blood rang out as he thrust the blade out of the ground, sand surrounding him and... floating there, weightless. Asbel was obscured from vision when this happened, and by the time anyone realized what was going on...

  843. [15:26] After coming up to what is apparently a fight, the first thing to do is to attempt to get them not to fight.

  845. Which wasn't going to happen, considering she walked up as the fighting started.

  847. So, the next thing to do?

  849. Try to figure out why exactly they're fighting, and if it was an honour duel or not- and, if it was an honour duel, who they have observing it.

  851. Ideally, by both of them telling her. That would lend the most accurate information, after all.

  853. ...she's also going to have to speak with Esso about why he had just been standing there, watching it happen. But that's an issue for another time.

  855. A chill breeze blows from behind her as she drops off the ledge of the small cliff, and she takes a short step forward towards the pair- although not too close. There's still fire and magma, and sharp crystals coating the beach.

  857. With a gentle wave at Isaac and Asbel, she asks one very, very simple question.

  859. "Was this an honour duel?"

  861. Her head tilts slightly to the side as she asks, the chill breeze coasting out across the beach, making an effort at cooling the sands as she waits for a response.

  865. Then her gaze goes to the gathered crowd on the cliffs- with another wave, she speaks to them.

  867. "Please disperse, yes? I believe the...entertainment, has come to an end. Thank you in advance."

  869. The selkies gaze then turns back to the pair on the beach. She really hopes this was an honour duel, despite any appearances to the contrary.

  887. Unfortunately, Isaac missed his throat in the fog, and that has him sigh intensely. "He ran away between his tail between his legs... fitting, I suppose," the demi-angel murmured to himself, wings folding behind his back, then he turns and heads up toward the cliffside. It was over for now.

  893. The Drakanite's gaze would trail around the field of battle, the scorched and sundered earth enough to cause a trickle of tension to torrent up along his spine. Still, though, he gripped his right hand tightly, the mechanisms giving a few clicks all the while. The statement that came along causes him to shake his head.

  897. The statement comes and goes as he turns his head over with a short glare. "This is a barren, lawless wasteland and anyone who says otherwise is deluding themselves." The statement is cold as he focuses his gaze down upon Isaac, unable to bring himself to pry away.

  899. Crafthold would remain, forever more, the same joke it always had been. Especially when he witnessed four vampires roaming through the land, a nethradin, and more.

  909. He hands gripped down on her arms as emerald fire slowly spread from the lodestone in the middle of her armor. Tainted green flames that resonated from the lines on her face, engulfing her armor and setting patches of her cloak alight.

  911. But before she can make a move, Kairi slides down the rock and begins to do her job. Silently, she glides down beside her wife, hoping to watch her back.

His father had specifically ordered him to avoid fighting Isaac... but it really seemed as though the two were about to throw down right here and now. He wanted to help. But... some part of him wouldn't let him intervene. The orders that he received were burned into his mind. He grows tense. Hand clenching tight, scarlet eyes gleaming brightly.

  973. [15:46] Tsu watched Salvas and Isaac through the slits of her mask, ember eyes simmering. When she heard the vampire threaten the regent, she knelt down and slowed her breathing. Her mind's eye cleared but for the fires of her soul. Burning wings crawled up her form and collected at her back, stretching out behind her as two glorious wings. She jumped up into the air and the wings swept the air, bringing her to land softly in the sand between Reito and Salvas. He wasn't going to get to her so easily.

  989. [15:51] A crimson figure rushed towards the scene, following the trail of his temporary leaders. As he arrived at the cliff side of Crafthold, nostalgia was halted for alarming scenes. Isaac stood alone in the field of sand, absent ally and Ashur clicked his tongue as the scarlet leader weighed the advantages and disadvantages.

  991. He could help and see favor owned forever, or stay side with life still fleeting in him. His chin was clamped between thumb and index, as Ashur pondered over the ordeal for seconds to come. Risks had to be taken for fame!

  993. With a gigantic leap, he flew across the crowd and landed skillfully on the sands. His arms swept out, as the breaker of chains presented himself before the crowd. Clouds parted ever so slightly, allowing beams of sun to land upon the right side of his visage. The more exquisite side.

  1013. She doesn't really seem to intend to actively stop them- but as she had been speaking, a notepad had been pulled up from within her cloak, and she had begun to write on it.

  1017. [15:55] Katsuki would slowly unsheathe her sword staring at the man before him. She had warned the regent to quickly mobilize. And yet, they had failed in that simple instruction. Her flames would slowly burst around her as she was at her upmost seriousness.

  1019. Her eyes would glare daggers at the man before her, those with just intent to protect the Regent of huangzhou. It would seem that Salvas would have murderous intent. She would share that same intent involving the issue.

He feels his heart drumming away while he has to listen to each word that leaves the vampire, but there's something more to it...

As the crowd came within view, the armored man laid eyes upon the familiar silhouette of Ashalle. His sclera widened ever so slightly, with furrowed brow following in its trail.

  1099. The trail of violence left in his wake is nothing but impressive. He truly does see himself as a hero, willing to take the steps necessary to cleanse the impurities of the world. Isn't that what you said, when you fought Artorias, Isaac?" Taiga steps forth. A cowl of darkness unfurling its wings as he leaps in front of the man. Standing face to face now, the two men meet eye to eye - both sharing the same crimson glow.

A pouring Occult pulse booms off of the man's body, as swarms and trails of Occult fog raise around the man and coalesce behind him in the form of a huge, frightening titan. The dark spirit turns its head about, staring at the people all around.

  1213. Fouka Luxata had been Ghede's last meal- And the spirit was oh, oh so hungry for more. Quincy kicks off of the cliff and brings himself to a float, starting to head further up north and closer to Reito in particular.

The Occult force around him that screamed at him to go mad, delve deeper- It is immediately streamlined and nullified in a cascade of mental power. Occult fog warps around Quincy as silver lightning.

Claims were made and his gaze went elsewhere until he hears the draw of his blade, then Quincy's words from up above... There's no hesitation in him as soon as the former chieftain draws towards his Regent.

  1244. Black feathers flutter out from his shoulders and carry him into the sky, beating up past the cliff and he lands directly infront of Quincy. His wings ar as tall as any many, shielding the regent behind him, wide and long, a thousand soft feathers within them.

  1246. "I don't know who you are, and I don't care. Get away from my wife," fingers take ahold of his arcanium staff, twirling inbetween his fingertips.

  1260. [16:30] Tsu listened, watching Taiga and Isaac as the rains poured down, wetting her fur and dripping off her mask. It sizzled as it struck her, steaming off her. "Our people are what we fight for. The pillars and the tenants define who we are. Not the angry musing of your kind."

  1264. Surrounded and watching Taiga draw his weapon, Tsu hears Quincy on the cliff and turns. Fire swirls into existence around her body, collecting on her shoulders and stretching out as glorious, fiery wings. She leaps and beats them, flying up the cliff face to land beside Reito.

  1266. She reaches behind her and pulls a folded staff from between her obi and floral yukata. A couple quick turns and twists snap it ready for use, the ruby gemstone at its head glowing with a firestorm inside. "We'll burn you all!" she promises.

She looked over at Tsu, and then Isaac, before looking back to Quincy. There was only one way someone was harming Reito while Emily was around, and that was by stepping over Emily's corpse. Unlike the others, Emily offered no words.

  1276. "Dawn are so cowardly to use numbers to advantage! I would see odds evened." The scarlet leader roared in laughter as he for the second time entered the fray. His solemn gaze set upon the figure of Quincy, Salvas, Freya and at last Taiga. Sweat dribbled down Ashur's forehead and fear was gulped down the back of throat to be replaced by courage.

The time for it had passed. She thought only of Reito's safety, and doing everything she could to keep the Regent behind her as the others struck out.

  1426. [17:22] As the dragon charged forward, she brought her raised staff down in a quick sweeping motion. The ruby gem glowed a brilliant white hot and as it swept near the water, fire erupted. It roared forward, growing in width and height as the water was flashed to steam from the power of the massive tsunami of flames. Yet, the dark shape of the dragon appeared in that wall of flame, then he burst through, roaring over the flames.

  1428. Tsu brought her hands up in front of her face, a sheen of holy energy encircling her body that cracked and shattered as his fist came through it to impact her mask and flatten her nose behind it. The pain from it breaking caused her to yelp out as she recoiled from the blow.

  1430. Stunned, she tried to protect herself with her hands and staff, but he slapped them away and struck her again and again. Water crashed into her and the light of her wings was snuffed out and the sunlight glowing along her skin muted as she were carried away with it, cascading over the cliff to crash into the sands of the beach below defeated and body writhing as she tried to catch her breath.

  1434. [17:22] Quincy wasn't grinning either. Truth be told, he hated close fights. The man called himself a calculator for so, so long now. He had sat upon the line of war in Gehenna whilst Obsidia raged their conflict. He had always been part of the fighting, despite his enjoyment of it- It didn't ever feel like a real break. Part of him regretted that. Part of Quincy hated that he couldn't go a year without breaking his peace with Amalka- He just had to take this chance. This one opportunity.

  1436. To put Huangzhou's regent below dirt and in a coffin. There is a visceral wrath that cloaked Ghede, Quincy's infernal spirit, as it roars and went to claw literal chunks off of Issac's form. This is a battle that the demi-angel was not winning, and perhaps Quincy had finally calculated his victory by the time the blackhole was created on the field.

  1438. A magnificent gravity well pushes force all across the field now, as clouds above Issac and Quincy start to rumble and roar. He could feel his own magical force reaching into the sky above. Was this his calling? No longer mana.. But lightning? What if he could do something like that? Command real, electricity? He grinned now, bringing his palm to point at the sky above as it crackled and thundered about.

  1440. "Demi-Angel.. I understand that adamancy. To fight to every last drop of blood to ensure her safety. I know because I'm much the same!"

  1442. The lightning in the clouds crackles further, starting to show itself. Unfortunately, there isn't enough time to give Quincy his first test of real lightning. The mastery was there- The execution was close. No. Instead of going bold, Quincy's palms come together with streams of magical energy stretching across.

  1444. "So leave.. Both of you. Don't let me see you inCrafthold again. Keep her safe- That's your job." A final bolt of electricity is shot from Quincy's repertoire of spells- Right through Issac's chest and carrying him back some distance. Far more than enough to flee and get out of there. No injuries lasted on his body, either.

  1446. For one reason or another- Issac's plight resonanted with the Tval's own. It resonated hard.

[17:30] Each time he fought a superior opponent, it felt like he was learning in the moment - whether it was Sors, Salvas, Ren, or Quincy... experienced magi with their own talents and styles that he had to adapt to, but the demi-angel wasn't fairing as well as he'd like in their brawl. The pull of the force of gravity upset his balance in the air and made gliding difficult, as well as the blasts of lightning that ripped through the sky and shot at him.

  1457. His arcs of fire were as deep a crimson as possible, like blood itself. Darker than usual, intensified by his frustration and panic; they are fighting to give Reito the time she needed to escape, pushing back. He can see Ashur in the distance, exhanging blows with Taiga, and Tsu, escaping the drowning waters. But he focuses on what's ahead of him and grits his teeth, striking again and again...

  1465. Quincy was already on the move, narrowly avoiding the fire, and he's blasted back against Reito on the cliffside. "Run," he commands, gritting his teeth, "Quickly. If this continues..."

  1471. [17:34] IF she had her way, she would have not fought Quincy, but instead... Spoken with him. Tried to let him know that so far? She had only performed upon those willing to lose their Occultism. Not on those that were firmly against it but sadly she never got the chance.

  1475. But thankfully it seemed they were going to be able to retreat and leave - hopefully safely. Even as Isaac was pushed back towards her, she stared at Quincy before she shook her head,

  1477. "There are other ways, Quincy," She said firmly. "Not through death and destruction... We were friends at one point, just remember that," With that, she'd definitely high tail it out of Dawn along with Isaac, Tsu, Emily and Katsuki.

  1595. Then his focus returns to Reito, listening in with a slight tilt of his head... curious... An occult gone insane from the sounds of it, he think to himself. The embrace is returned with his own arms wrapping around her lower back, "I was just keeping you safe. We all were."
