  4. 1) Your multiple opening condescending paragraphs serve no purpose other than to paint your generation as equally prone to philosophically bandwagoning as the older one and thus inflate your own ego as the only one immune to the hysteria, “the great revealer of truth”. Please.
  5.
  6. 2) Your view on taxation echoes that of the vast majority of Americans for decades leading into the 21st century. “The American Way” philosophy the country was indoctrinated with is what allowed the 1% to take hold in the first place, everybody so believed one day it might be them that they’d vehemently defend the rich on ideological principles even while starving themselves. Basically you’re making the libertarian argument, whether you want to call it that or not. I’d 100% love to have a truly libertarian society, but the fact is this country is way too far gone for that to work anytime soon. Realism trumps principles here.

  8. 3) This quote:
  9. “The issue with Bernie Sanders, then, is that he focuses on the wrong targets…rather than the real problem of special interests that lobby for regulations that benefit them at the expense of everyone else.”
  10. …is just straight up false. He makes a huge point about that at nearly town hall he does.

  12. 4) So, basically you’re arguing that “if the government serves the people and makes them happy, that’s bad because people will be less likely to riot/revolt/etc”. Wow. Also, dipping a toe into tin foil territory, and ultimately making an argument about how the government is corrupt and power is unchecked while decrying literally the only candidate who’s demonstrated any strong desire to fight it and doesn’t have a long history of corruption himself.
  13.
  14. 5) Forced healthcare pisses me the fuck off too, but seriously, have some fucking realism. You seem to have no grasp of the kind of money we’re dealing with here with the 1%. YOU CAN TAKE LITERALLY MILLIONS FROM THESE PEOPLE AND IT WILL HAVE ZERO NEGATIVE EFFECT ON THEIR STANDARD OF LIVING. Nobody “deserves” that amount of money, NOBODY has “earned” it. Certainly not rich boys with family funds pushing papers around their whole life. You can help soooooooo many people with that money, and the rich fucks won’t even notice.

  16. Yeah, on principle I disagree with it too. But protecting a few one principle alone at the sacrifice of millions of others, most of whom work infinitely harder? There’s just no way to justify that, not when it’s such a minor sacrifice for them.

  18. Your arguments shift between naively ideological and outright hypocritical. Socialism may not be what I want, but I can at least admit when we are far enough from utopian ideals that maybe a bit of spread wealth is the best thing to help us move forward.
