BACKGROUND INFO :: Erin was born in Jeju City to a mother and father. When she was 10, her parents had died in a car accident. So, her uncle and his wife adopted her into their family. Later years, she grew up and then auditioned for Starship Entertainment. She however failed the auditions and that ended her motivation to become a singer. But after being casted by Woolim Entertainment, she rethought about her aspirations and decided to join Woolim Entertainment.

HOW LONG HAS SHE BEEN A TRAINEE OF WOOLIM ENTERTAINMENT? :: When Erin joined Woolim Entertainment, she was 15. She didn't start training not until she graduated from middle school. She has been a trainee for 5 years and 6 months.
INFO ABOUT HER TRAINEE LIFE :: It was pretty difficult for Erin being a middle school graduate as well as being a trainee. She often procrastinated her school work to focus more on her training. There was an uneven time management for her activities but she slowly learned to manage her time more responsibly as time passed.
