38. Milo Boyd, a down-on-his-luck bounty hunter, gets his dream job when he is assigned to track down his bail-jumping ex-wife, reporter Nicole Hurly. He thinks all that's ahead is an easy payday, but when Nicole gives him the slip so she can chase a lead on a murder cover-up, Milo realizes that nothing ever goes simply with him and Nicole. The exes continually one-up each other - until they find themselves on the run for their lives. They thought their promise to love, honor and obey was tough - staying alive is going to be a whole lot tougher.
 39. A bounty hunter learns that his next target is his ex-wife, a reporter working on a murder cover-up. Soon after their reunion, the always-at-odds duo find themselves on a run-for-their-lives adventure.
 40. This movie biggest problem for me is: Jennifer Aniston. The woman simply cannot act. She doesn't know how to create/compose characters so she is basically herself in.every.movie. It's like watching a little "Jennifer Aniston reality show". And it doesn't work. It never works. No even for a romantic comedy such as this. In addition to Aniston's lack of acting skills there's the fact that she and Gerard have ZERO chemistry together. It's almost painful to watch. Charlize Theron, Sandra Bullock, Olivia Wilde... even Sofia Vergara would've been more appropriated for the part. Anyone but Aniston. The good part is Gerard Butler. I'd say it watch it only if you a fan of his work and endless charm.
 41. Most people on this website who have reviewed this film haven't liked it and I have to agree. Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler play ex husband and wife Milo and Nicole. He's a bounty hunter and she's a reporter. After failing to turn up at court for being prosecuted for speeding because of a big case she's working on. Milo is sent to get her. On the road trip he ends up getting caught up in the case and at the same time they "reconnect" with each other whilst most of the time playing childish pranks on one another.

Butler and Aniston are rumoured off screen to have a thing for another. Seeing this film I wouldn't believe that. One essential for a romantic film is to have good chemistry between the two leads and they must be likable to it's audience. Unfortunately recently with rom-coms like The Proposal and The Ugly Truth, this is sadly not the case and it's the same with The Bounty Hunter. With the way they act towards each other. It's hard to imagine how Butler and Aniston's characters Milo and Nicole ended up married in the first place as they act like two petulant children who don't know how to grow up not to mention that are cruel to each other like he sticks her in the boot of his car and she tasers him. How is that meant to be funny? They both have committed crimes in that respect! There is no chemistry between the two and there acting is awful. Though there is a nice couple of scenes where they do reminisce and I did warm to them slightly and found them a bit likable but overall they are not. Also to note Nicole's co-worker Stewart played by Jason Sudeikis is extremely annoying so much so I just wanted to shot him! But he does get his comeuppance, which I enjoyed.

There are some good laughs but they mostly comes from smaller characters within the film like Adam Rose who plays Jimmy whose Milo's boss and Christine Baranski who is Kitty Hurley playing Nicole's mother. Also the case Nicole's working on is interesting to an extent.

But literally this is bad. The actors can't act, they aren't that likable and the script and dialogue is lazy and clunked, which tells me that all those involved either were on drugs or they just couldn't be asked to make the film. It's insulting to the audience that this lazy, stupid and bad film dosen't fulfill the ingredients for a romantic comedy and was actually advertised to the cinema.
 42. Aniston doesn’t bring her old A-game to this. But at least she’s not quiet and reserved and no-energy, her approach to too many roles of late. Butler makes the most of his Neanderthal rut.
