- Well, this was certainly a long, strange trip. A universe that had aspects of many others, all of which were all at least somewhat off-kilter from how things might have otherwise been. Like Transformers, Jedi, and ... Big Fire. Among other things. On the surface it sounds absolutely asinine. Actually being there? Things made a disturbingly large degree of sense, with the way they fit together. Still a bit contrived, but not blatantly so.
- Also, teaching at a school which counts Jedi among its students was interesting, and quite frankly doing that as a full time job made things particularly interesting. I mean, the locals going 'why in the name of God is there a gravitationally-inert hunk of metal the size of a gas giant in orbit of Bajor' was amusing, but it also meant that Hyperion was very much out of commission during my stay, which was a bit irritating considering that there WERE other ships that existed that could have actually used firepower of that magnitude.
- On the other hand, it gave time for a full overhaul on Hyperion... and as my services in teaching the local psykers and Jedi and whatnot to not be idiots got a lot of attention, and I do mean a LOT of attention from those in charge, it meant that I was able to arrange to have a fold drive put in, not to mention having the shields augmented with local technology.
- Oh, and apparently the students who attended my classes graduated with the highest marks in the Deedlit Satori Mandeville Memorial Institute's (rather short) history; the students were amused when I mentioned that if the corps is mother and father, I'm more along the lines of their cool older cousin who used to play video games with them and had a car at sixteen. So that made for a nice feather in my cap as well. There were even a few members of the Conspiracy who followed me in order to do something similar. Most of the rest just took it as a decade to do as they saw fit and enjoyed various pursuits throughout the galaxy. Demona wasn't sticking around there, however, and located her own local analogue. Which was a bit of a surprise, as gargoyles were still very well hidden from humanity.
- ...of course, being stuck there for ten years wasn't much fun, so I had my half-dozen clones running about the galaxy as well (thank you, Angel Notes). There was, after all, a great deal to see and do before my time here was through. Though this confused a great many people, especially when two of my clones ended up on opposite sides of a conflict and really hammed it up as they fought each other...
