  1. Emiya Alter was rejected few times cause he was way too a difficult character to do at first
  2. "To make a darkned version of Emiya without rejecting who he is at the core, if we even take one step wrong, we would end up dirty-ing Emiya himself. But at the same time, we had to make someone who could be loved by people, and that is high difficulty task no matter where you look at it"
  3. Nasu felt he wasn't done enough justice in Shinjuku, so added him to the CCC Event and expanded him a fuckton
  4.
  5. Kiara was initially not planned to be playable, but they wanted to give her good battle action and know that in-game they take better care of Playable CHaracter Sprites, so she ended up playable as a result...
  6.
  7. "About Qin, well to be honest, most of that was all Urobutchi. And during it he said," Im feeling like doing Cyberpunk with China right now!" and he wrote it like that, so the setting from Olympus and Qin isn't really meant to connect"
  8.
  9. Q, If humans reaches there limit, perhaps everyone will become closer to a Machine=God? Type of question was what I felt throughout the Scenario.
  10. Nasu: As long as we are in the format known as a Human, we will live inside eternal pain. Both Kirschtaria and QSH had a similar type of mindset in a way that they wanted to end this pain and become a new entity. QSH's plan was that he himself would become a single beyond entity and take away the pains of others but as a result he ended up treating them more like pets and livestock then a person. Meanwhile Kirschtaria thought if all human beings from there mind, process of information and body gets all upgraded, they would at least be freed from the pain that is bother them at the current time. But that has a problem of its own. "Lets at least upgrade to the next pain and problems" is what it was ultimately saying. In that way, Humanity at there peak doesn't mean they will become Gods. After all, the term God is an antiquated term and and old way of thinking, is what I think about this.
  11.
  12. Q. Similar Question, but Olympus, and Fate/Extra's Moon Cell, both are machine and AI, so are they realted too?
  13. Nasu: Fate/Extra is in a way different from a normal shape of a Type Moon World, so they have no relationship. To be honest, Fate/Extra's Moon Cell is a stage device that was made when Nino Kazuya san said he wanted to do "Digital Brain Fate". So unless the world is that of Fate/Extra, Moon Cell's Purpose of Existence doesn't really exist in other cases.
  14.
  15. Q: Can you explain a bit more about how the Atlantis Civilization ended?
  16. Nasu: Well that is the Type Moon World story right? In the Type Moon World, 14000 Years ago, Sefar came in and went around breaking down everything. Gods from other sect of divinity when Sefar arrived reacted it "Oh no a threat beyond the sky came down, what do we do?" and panic-ed and started making plans. While Atlantis because they were from space too, they were looking down at them a bit (laugh). They were acting very high and mighty, until they were easily defeated because of Sefar being an Anti-Foreign Civilization Specialty Weapon. Meanwhile, in the Greece Lostbelt, Zeus alone recognized "This is Dangerous" and immediately recognized, and forced the other 12 gods who didn't wanted to fuse, and forced them all with "If we don't fuse now, what do you think is gonna happen",and fought Sefar to a draw and chased it away. But in a normal Type Moon Senki World, the 12 Machine Gods didn't become serious and as a result Atlantis Civilization ended. And surviving remnant flowed to the Aegean Sea, which later became the foundation of the Greek Civilization, type of almost forceful story happened.
  17.
  18. Q: The Olympus quest was quite hard for a non-whaler, so? what do you two think about this?
  19. Nasu: Well it is Lostbelt that went the most ahead of everyone, had the least amount of Minus Points, heck its a world where Humans are stronger then Servants type of world, so it was a result of that it ended up like that..... but there were times where I said "isn't this a bit much".....
  20.
  21. Q: It was Demeter wasn't it?
  22. Nasu: For me, since everyone told me Demeter was "hard" it went into the fight with a plan in mind, so I was fine. For Taros, after one time defat, it was no problem after a Foreigner Party. Without a Foreigner, its going to be hard, but if you raise a Foreigner properly, it wouldn't be too hard, i think. Hmm.
  23.
  24. Q: That statment, Im pretty sure many users are going to react with a "hmm?/huh?/ah?" for it. (Laugh)
  25. Nasu: I know you can figure it out form the fac that I like Demons Souls and Dark Souls, but Im not the type of person who feels stress from dying in a game and then needing to make a plan to overcome the obstacle.
  26. However, people who were opposite of me, those who feel stress from such process would feel pain in that process. I thought that in the process of reaching Olympus, they would have collected enough Servant to help them, but for people who came here in around a year or half a year who has light amount of Servant, this could be a difficult task. But from now on the Difficulty will return to normal do not worry
  27. It will be easy
  28. After all, its a Lostbelt that is warm, kind and easy
  29. No seriously, Im not lying
  30.
  31.
  32. Q: Iya Iya/No No, If you read the scenario, I only feel terror at the upcoming Lostbelt. Especailly South America, where I feel nothing but bad omens.
  33. Nasu: Thats not true. Trust me, everyone is just a good Primates there. But even so, I am a Hardcore Gamer type of user, so think of the dificulty as a a bit hard for Nasu type of difficulty , im pretty sure that may sound like a type powerful warning sign but I recognize that.
  34. But even so, I did have a discussion with the System Manager about a bit of thought about the difficulty, thinking "was it a bit too much this time". To make the Scenario look believable, the enemy has to be strong to make the the catharsis just as strong, these are something that only exist in a game that an anime or novel cannot provide. After all this is a "I want to defeat this strong opponent, thats why this story path happened" type of interactive play.
  35.
  36. Q: Well since we are talking about her, I want to hear bout Miyamoto Musashi. During Fate/Stay Night, there was a phrase that "Whether a path to the future or path to the past, the place it reaches its Zero" type of phrase was said in it. Does this mean Musashi's Empty Space/Kyu = Zero concept means something similar to the Root?
  37. Nasu: No, not at all actually. When I was studying the person Miyamoto Musashi historically, I found out that tale of Musashi was happening around the same period as when the concept of "Mu" from Buddhism entered into Japan recently. And thinking about it, I thought it was impressive that Musashi's Father claimed to be a Muise? during that era. And as I saw myself deeper into that side of history, I felt that in "FGO" , the place female Musashi must reach as her peak must be "Cutting that which has no form". And around that time, as I was doing Musashi's Trial Quest, I was also making plans for FGO Part 2, so I was studying info on Greece and the concept of Chaos. And at that moment, I thought, well this is something Musashi has to cut, as Muramasa mentioned, "One you are able to cut that which has no form, you show your true essence". Many different creative material makes Miyamoto Musashi appear in it, but we thought that if we are to put in Musashi, that we have to put her inside the story with a meaning to her in the story. And I thought that Musashi would have meaning if she at the end cuts through the Empty Space/Kyou, and accomplishes all things and disappears beyond the zero. And she was character that was made with that in mind, and we put in a lot of small nods to this throughout the game. So this isn't something that is related to the Root of All Magic or etc like that.
  38.
  39. Q. Kirschtaria Said, "from now on, I will only be able to fight only twice" when he said this was this part of a carefully set plan? Or some kind of clairvoyance or future predicting ability?
  40. Nasu: This is a bit of a spoiler, but it was because his body was only capable of fighting twice more. Its just that if that others around him would have been suspicious about him and the Olympus side would have thought to themselves "had he become weaker" type of threat existed. So he created this atmosphere of "I have a Servant who can predict the future, and I will only need to fight twice more really, huh" type of deal to hide his weakness
  41.
  42. Q: So he covered it up with a Princely Scenery.
  43. Nasu: Kirschtaria knew that even if calculate and minimalize, he will only really be able to fight twice more, so he decided to save those two fights for the most important ones. (Aww, he thought the fight with Chaldea was that important)
  44.
  45. Q: Also I heard that 15 Year Old Kirschtaria went to the Spiritual Evocation department of the Clockwork, but what was the reason for a Genius like Kirschtaria for got to the Spiritual Evocation Deparment?
  46. Nasu: He visited to other departments too further his knowledge. Tho 15 year old Kirschatria was still under elitism, but he had a mindset of accepting many different viewpoints, as a result he wanted to appeal "I understand all of different department and different way of thought". But this was truly just a bravado. But while he was living with such position, he ended up experiencing thing that made this bravado into reality, that is all this story is.
  47.
  48. Q: "Since the Spiritual Evocation Department has come out, perhaps, this was the period when he and Ophelia met?" was what i thought, is it tho.
  49. Nasu: No, not yet. Ophelia at this period probably didn't know Kirischtaria yet.
