  1. Feeling exhausted, he let go of Jade allowing her to go take her nap. Now that he had no support of standing up, his legs started to wobble as he grew dizzy and fell down to the ground. He was still shirtless, having left his cape and armor a bit far from their fighting spot. If only he could stand he could grab it but he didn't have it in him to get up. Fighting Jade was really hard, and hurt a bunch too.
  2.
  3. Usually every time he ends going crazy in the head, it exhaust him even more, because he feels like he forces more energy to be used. Coughing a bit, he dropped his swords on the ground and looked around. There was nothing more to do, other than train and prepare for the war. He wasn't a fan of the war, and wasn't favorouting sides at all. It was all stupid, and people were just going to end up dying and getting hurt.
  4.
  5. He just hopes nothing happens to her, because he will be the one to take it instead.
  6. (Karou Sakamoto)
  7.
  8. Miles of distance to cover, hours of sun beaming overhead-- Forced landings, time and time again-- And one would finally have completed the journey across the Sarabbean Desert.
  9.
  10. Though, what could possibly prove rewarding enough? He had found himself hovering over an open pass, where Brightholdian guards posted themselves- likely checking out merchantry and typical travelers making their run across.
  11.
  12. Exovaryn insured himself exempt from this procedure, propping himself upon the mesa to gaze down upon the many below. Though, what would catch his gaze, would be the conclusion of a magus' quarrel.
  13. There were no words...
  14. No actions nor movements from his person...
  15. Simply a stare backed by the carnal urges within, held back by an intangible leash that could restrain him finitely.
  16.
  17. Despite the ebonic facade, one failed to radiate any form of Corruption at all: No signature that could indicate one's allignment, such as Sacred Energy or Depravity... It was simply... Shrouded...
  18. (Exovaryn "Voss" Haruke)
  19.
  20. Karou held his arm from a slight pain he felt. Luckily his other arm was a metal limb, so he felt no pain unless attacked at the stump of his arm or the stump of his leg that also has a metal leg. Finally standing up and holding his arm he felt something strange. Turning his head, looking over to a man landing on top of a higher land. He was a bit confused, but it looked like the man was using gravity magic or something.
  21.
  22. Just looking at the man gave him the weird chills. It was such a creepy dark glare. Could he be an enemy or just a ally hidden under all those clothes hiding his identity. Walking over to him while picking up his armor and cloak he stood in front of the man looking up at him.
  23. (Karou Sakamoto)
  24.
  25. Karou had closed the proximity, leaving his shadow to engulf his image under the angle of the sun pinned behind him. As to why he was approached? The reasoning could vary in his perception. Not many were willing to wander up to a notable danger, whilst others seemingly enjoyed the thrill of such adventurous risk. This persona in particular didn't act hostile in comparison to those he's come across in the past.
  26.
  27. Karou didn't take up defensive procedures as far as Voss could tell, nor did he call for back-up; Yet, oddly enough, he didn't acknowledge one with rhetoric either. It was simply a stare in return, perhaps in wonder?
  28. Given seconds' pause, Voss would finally break the silence with a surprisingly coherent acknowledgement.
  29.
  30. " Does my presence amaze you, Valmasian? " He queried.
  31. "... Or are you that allured by what you do not recognize?"
  32. (Exovaryn "Voss" Haruke)
  33.
  34. Looking up at him, and placing his hands in his pocket while just staring. The stranger finally ended up being the first one to talk to him. Releasing a sigh, he didn't really know if he should feel safe or dangered. "I don't really know, you look pretty mysterious and im just confused. I don't mind if your passing by but what exactly is your purpose... Your figure looks pretty shady, so i'm just hoping you aren't a cult."
  35.
  36. Dropping his sword into the dirt looking up to him. His body was still hurt so he was sure he wouldn't be able to fight this man if he would attack or not. He would have to try to call for back up but from here, everybody is pretty far.
  37. (Karou Sakamoto)
  38.
  39. The Harukean stared back for an extensive period of time, as though testing one's threshold of tolerance. The shadow casted from his hood omitted the details of his eyes, allowing only the hazel rings of one's cornea outlinings to emanate through the darkness. A sigh from his person belched a lilac smog from betwixt his lips, clouding about his shrouded visage without badgering himself to sway.
  40.
  41. Gasous residue of the former was oozed up from his gullet, though failed to conceal his gleaming optics. " My purpose is to sustain, as it is for any other living entity in this world." He responded. " Thus, I seek substanence." He stated unflinchingly, failing to digress to any other within general proximity.
  42.
  43. " So far, you look like the most suitable candidate... Though, I can find potential for something greater in you. Perhaps, not all of you humans are alike, not all plagued with the inane mental capacity as the other... Though, I could be wrong. You could be naught better than cattle." He craned his head off to the side, examining the adolescent prior to acknowledging his initial assumption.
  44.
  45. "Cult? I am part of no Cult, boy... Though, in time- those wise enough will build shrines in congregation in reverence to my stature."
  46. (Exovaryn "Voss" Haruke)
  47.
  48. As he watched the man remove his hood, all he would see was his yellow lined eyes. They were creepy but something odd was coming out of him, like his mana. It felt all creepy to Karou, but what exactly was this man. "What... You can find the true potential in me?" Looking down at the hand and grasping his hand. "What do you mean by that..."
  49.
  50. He said he was not part of the cult so just from this Karou didn't think that he was bad or something. But now that this man told him he could find true potential inside of him he was actually wondering how this could be done. Grabbing his sword tightly he looked around making sure nobody else was around to listen or any of the guards to see.
  51.
  52. "How exactly can you find a potential stronger inside... or unlock it.."
  53. (Karou Sakamoto)
  54.
  55. " Well, for starters... You may be more useful to me alive." He started, already making assumptions..
  56. " Typically, the common human is sentenced to my gullet." He admitted. "Your circuit looks suitable, absorbing you would be quite delectable." He went on, exercising this horrid truth to light almost casually.
  57.
  58. "Though, I've come across many humans in my time, and I'm hopeful that you will break this mold as so many of you strive to do." He fell to silence to observe one's form. Their attire was... Strange to him. It was definitely armor, but uniform. It wasn't Glacium, nor Nivis... Not even Viridian.
  59.
  60. Though, what caught him the most was the grasp for one's blade. It seemed as though they were willing to fight already. The sight of such brought forth a grin across his visage, ready to emphasize the consequences should one have followed through.
  61.
  62. He wanted an excuse: A reason to purge yet another inferior organism off the face of Eternia. Though, until it was blatant he'd wait...
  63. "Perhaps, I could unlock it... Perhaps, few of you humans are capable of accepting the gift of Lyperias... Though, something of that magnitude would have a cost.."
  64. (Exovaryn "Voss" Haruke)
  65.
  66. With the sword in his hand, he raised it in the air and just placed it on its sheath, on his back. At the moment he was confused on what jibberish this man was talking about. All that sounded interesting to him was that about unlocking his potential. He placed his hands back in his pocket and threw a spit at the ground. "What makes it that I can trust you?"
  67.
  68. Karou wasn't really in on all of this. It all sounded weird to him, but he sure did want that strength that he offered him. It sounded like this man could make him very powerful at least. But if he where to leave, what about Jade, she was the reason he was here. "Do I have to come with you for this too?"
  69. (Karou Sakamoto)
  70.
  71. It seemed as though he was moderately interested, though worried. He had every reason to worry, and considering the stare Exovaryn gave him, there was much re-enforcement to consider midst the ambiguity.
  72. " The fact that you're still breathing, human." He answered to the initial question. "The fact that you, and the guards within close proximity still walk on this earth is because I allow it." He clarified.
  73.
  74. "Upon arrival, I could've consumed them... And then consumed you... " He was blunt and callous. " And as of yet, I haven't any reason not to reconsider absorbing you outright. Aside from your magical prowess, you're the equivalence to any other on this land." He was actively condescending, bombarding one through rhetoric that implied himself as a vastly superior entity.
  75.
  76. " If you have ambition for this power, you must accept the coming of Revolution." He stated. " This land will inevitably falter, its societies fallen to be built anew. The religions of fallacies shall be purged, for one true. A world to rise from the ashes of its former... " He glorified...
  77.
  78. " True, Eternal Solace: No more wars. No more disease. No more discrimination. Nothing, but absolute peace. The ordeal of Urayans that praise their false Gods, the hopes of practitioners under Kraus, the presumed epilogue to Azreal's devout worshippers. Despite the method and transition, it all ends the same... But only one can promise this..." He finished, casting his right arm out for Karou.
  79.
  80. Concurrent to his reach, telekinetic grasp mised itself upon the youth, softly wielding him off the soil to pull him from the centre of one's chestplate to eventually be placed up top the mesa, several dozen feet above where he was previously standing. Now, one could vaguely see his visage, should he have failed to resist on his ascension.
  81.
  82. The onyx scelera of one's gaze reflected the light, capturing animated reflections of his sights upon his optics.
  83.
  84. A lowered arm was followed up with further rhetoric.
  85. " Lyperias: Goddess of Fate. "
  86.
  87. " If you truly desire power... Renounce any religious ties you're currently bound to, and accept Lyperias as the one and only true Goddess. The Core of all that is, and ever will be. "
  88. (Exovaryn "Voss" Haruke)
  89.
  90. Listening to all of this was all strange and new to him but it all made sense. Looking down at the ground, he then noticed that he was being lifted into the air thousands of feet high being placed right where the man was standing. He talked about no more wars, which was exactly what Karou wanted, for Jade at least. He also told him that there would be peace, if that he was even possible to acquire but maybe this could actually be done by this man.
  91.
  92. He felt so strong, but chills crawled down his spine. He informed him to give up all religion that he believed in at the moment, but luckily he didn't believe in any. Looking at the hooded man, he was just speechless not knowing what exactly to say. "I.... don't really know... what I should... do... I really do want this peace.."
  93.
  94. Looking back at Brighthold thinking of some of the few times he had fun there. ".... I... .."
  95. (Karou Sakamoto)
  96.
  97. " Peace, will always be rejected by the few that wish to monger. It is... Inevitable." He assured. "As long as beliefs differ, it will last for an eternity..."
  98. "Though, should all falter to a single entity... All are subject to union. It is this union in which, true peace can be obtained. If one wishes to obtain power, to embrace this solace... They must be prepared to spill blood. Nothing can be Created, without Destruction. It is, a fundamental fact to Eternia.
  99.
  100. "Where there is Light, there will always be Dark.
  101. Where there is Fire, so will there be Water
  102. Where the gales of Wind shall blow, Earth will always be below" He explained...
  103.
  104. " For every presence, there is an echo, for creation to exist, there must be destruction to balance... For there to be Progress, one must Sacrifice. " He concluded...
  105.
  106. " For every entity baring a circuit of mana I absorb, my power grows. With this power, I will lead this land to revolution. I will break it... Shatter it... And rebuilt it with its pieces upon a new foundation. A New Order... I will consume of its Sin, and embodiments of Transgression to perfect it, to strengthen myself.. To create a new Valmasia as my Goddess Lyperias has promised.
  107.
  108. For I, am no Seer of Darkness... Nor am I, a member of the Xsperitan Elitus, any longer." He explained.
  109. "... I am, a Seer of Fate... Join me, and your fate shall turn for the greater. Power will soon be yours, and you'd have mised a place in New World."
  110. It was a large claim, though- He felt determined to prove it.
  111.
  112. "All that I ask of you in return, are sacrificial offerings... "
  113. (Exovaryn "Voss" Haruke)
  114.
  115. The young Montblanc would have been patrolling the nearby area and decided to get a feel of the types of magi in as far a radius as possible. As he did this he noticed a familar color of mana. It's shade was one he clashed blades with many times, the shade of blue telling him it was an energy magi but that was far from a problem.
  116.
  117. The real problem was not soon after taking a step forward. An overbearing powerful sensation of magic came into play. The depraved color, so dark yet so bright. Overwhelming the other color before it. An entity such as this, that it what truly caught Espa's attention making him rush over to the scene.
  118.
  119. As he got closer, Espa got hit with one of the greatest persausive speeches he had ever heard in his life. The greatest being the one he heard from Ryhs in the lysterg dungeon. He would ruffle the back of his hair, as he looked at the two individuals. He was glad to see that it wasn't a heist or anything but in it's own way. It was worse
  120.
  121. Espa would glare at Karou for even stuttering or staying long enough for the man to say such things but if that man was speaking like that all that time. Well, even Espa would take a moment to listen to his reasoning. While sharing his own of course and it was that he would do. That's when he heard the man's last sentence and Espa would draw the line there.
  122.
  123. " No sacrificing will be taking place here now I don't care for your beliefs but if you even dare try and mold the hope in my friend's heart into despair and darkess. I will retaliate. The only sacrificing a person should do for power is sacrificing their time and effort as they train to better themselves. Not others. "
  124. (Espa Montblanc)
  125.
  126. Karou kept thinking about everything he was saying and it was all making sense. It all did sound like peace could only be created by destroying what is already happening. The boy didn't know what exactly to say, until his hand slowly started raising up in the air. He was about to give his hand to the man to accept the offer until a familiar voice caught Karou's attention.
  127.
  128. It was Espa, the one he trained most to beat. Of course with new power that he could acquire from this man he could beat Espa, and be able to protect Jade. Looking over to Espa without a word to say he only looked down to the ground. His face a bit dissapointed not knowing what exactly to say. He knew if he would try anything funny, he would die in a second. If this man is offering such power, that means he must already have enough power to wipe any one out.
  129.
  130. "I..." Plaing his hand's on his head he began shaking around trying to make up his mind already.
  131. (Karou Sakamoto)
  132.
  133. " - have done well, already." Finished Exovaryn, his sights narrowed down upon Espa instead. " It seems you've drawn in another.. Suitable sacrifice, and likely a magi to boot." He finished, ogling Espa with clear interest in his vessel.
  134. " Many humans like this one are brazen enough to test Destiny." He claimed, allotting for a brief hiatus...
  135.
  136. " Though, it is the very people whom I am spoken of that will disrupt this dream for Solace. Without Sacrfice, there can be no Progress." He repeated in modified form, before taking flight, closing in on the fellow youth with clear nefarious intent.
  137.
  138. " I don't know who you are, nor whom you think you are child... But denying a Seer of Fate will ensure the inevitiability of your certain demise." He touched down, just yards away from the Montblanc, gazing down upon him as condescendingly as he did Karou just moments prior.
  139.
  140. "Your comrade seems to have take thought in a higher purpose... Why can't you humans condone to such, rather than whittle yourselves into a state of asinine capacity? You limit yourselves and claim strength. It is for this very reason that you fear Power. It is simply something your ilk can not understand, can not hope to fathom. This is why this world is stagnant..." Advancement via casual pace for Espa initiated.
  141.
  142. "- I'm going to fix that, starting with you..."
  143. Karou could choose to stay where he was, to accept this new faith in hopes of the promises...
  144. Or he could come to Espa's aid, contradicting his hopes as claimed by Exovaryn entirely...
  145. (Exovaryn "Voss" Haruke)
  146.
  147. He would let out a sigh for a mere moment. Looking over to Karou and then taking the time and effort to think what would be the most rational choice in this situation. Espa wouldn't waste much time. He could tell at a mere glance that his opponent was most like far more powerful than he was but he wouldn't allow that to stop him. His friend's future was on the line.
  148.
  149. Taking a deep breath in, he would look over to Karou and simply say to him " Karou. Run. If you heed this guy's words. You'll end up as something you'd never want to be. Jade's enemy. You still have a life ahead of you. People who love you. Don't stray. Go back home. "
  150.
  151. Espa wasn't going to move nor was he going to run. Was he scared? Of course he was. A man speaking of sacrifice was walking over towards him with power he could literally see outweighing his own. The lad was legit terrified but would he show it? No. He'd hide his fear deep down in his heart. He had to be strong for he knew running wasn't an option. He couldn't leave Karou alone knowing that his friend could end up on the wrong path.
  152.
  153. Taking a firm stance, he wouldn't be quick to fight but more so protect. He wouldn't draw his blade yet but he was alert and ready to defend himself if the man was going to go through with his words. Espa wouldn't look back to Karou again but he would say this
  154.
  155. " I hope you're running..."
  156. (Espa Montblanc)
  157.
  158. Not moving, just standing still with a dull expression, his mind had ben given all the things that he wants to choose. But now seeing Espa there, trying to be the hero was annoying him even more. What made him so great. Crunching his fist listening to Espa's words until something hit him hard. Shaking in his place, tears started falling down his face. He knew his answer here, and it was to run. Jumping off of the cliff rapidly, he fell straight down using his wind magic to slow down his landing and running pass by Espa.
  159.
  160. Soon standing still next to him he looked at him for a split second. "I....I'm sorry Espa...." Karou would stand beside Espa and help him fight, but he was all worn and beat up from fighting with Jade in the first place. All he could do was run like a wimp, until he got to Brighthold. Maybe he could get someone in time to save Espa.
  161. (Karou Sakamoto)
  162.
  163. One's casual pacing for Espa had come to a cease; he had heard something from behind him. A side-glance rewarded him with the sight of the supposedly latent member to his cause leaping off the cliff to flee. Venturamancy harbored him upon his descent, allowing him to speed off unphased by the drop... However, his departure would not go without warranted action from Exovaryn's part.
  164.
  165. " Imputent human. Just like the rest..." Abruptly he leaped for the skies, abandoning Espa midst his sights for an instant to hone his focus upon Karou, though he would not give pursuit. His great leap left him statically poised in the air, arm extended out for his rushing figure.
  166.
  167. " Cowardly..." The whine of energies festering betwixt his fingers hissed through the air.
  168. " Foolish..." The cosmos were siphoned from to empower the transmundanic powers at his volition, leading to the mesh of Cosmogonic Occultism, condensed by the gravitational arcane he wielded under his volition.
  169. "Human scum..." He labeled Karou as he grew more distant, fully conjuring a spheroid ensnared by grasping digits.
  170.
  171. " You're not even fit for absorption... " The blast launched with the release of his fingers, skimmering across the atmosphere with intensity intended to vanquish the magi outright... Though, with Espa in such close proximity, he'd be more than capable of parrying the blast. The explosion radius demanding meters' worth of proximity upon making contact with a full surface.
  172. (Exovaryn "Voss" Haruke)
  173.
  174. Espa would glance back over to Karou for a moment and was glad to see that his friend was running back to Brighthold. It was until he looked back to the man, he realized that his friend's life was still in danger. Mana would begin to enhance his physical strength this was increased even further with as he manipulated his will in the form of energy.
  175.
  176. Taking a firm grip of his blade, he would dash forth towards the blast and coating his blade in mana to knock the blast away and probably over towards where two oblivious individuals were sparring. Espa also oblivious of their exsistance would glare over towards the man. Taking a solid stance as the blast would make contact with the ground, exploding.
  177.
  178. Luckily, due to this a few guards were able to come to his aid. The Montblanc happy to see some assistance would then turn back towards the man. Glaring at him as energy coated his being. Espa would then say to the man.
  179.
  180. " You aren't getting to my friend. Not if as long as I'm here. "
  181. (Espa Montblanc)
  182.
  183. Guards came to one's aid...
  184. Non-magi garnered the prime of Exovaryn's attention, a cruel mistake for one whom sought to preserve life. Outright laughter was rewarded for the endeavor, for the soldiers of Brighthold that came to his defense.
  185. He hardly took it upon himself to manuever, casually pacing for Espa at his own volition.
  186.
  187. " I'm on an entirely seperate league from you, humans..." He claimed with hood thrown back to reveal his visage beneath. An alabaster mane juxtaposed to his ebonic eyes, following Espa despite the numbers that attempted to hold him off. From the centre of his backside spawned the serpents of the void: Lyperion Utovex, lashed out in various directions, simultaneously parrying the numbers at Espa's side.
  188.
  189. " Let it be one..." A tendril heaved for his left side, barb prodding against armor to pierce it in a single thrust, immediately impaling an unfortunate Brightholdian soldier and rising him to the skies above as the tendril sunk deeper into his flesh, illuminating vermillion at the site of intrusion.
  190.
  191. "Two.." Another fired from his opposing side, lodging its head midst the esophagus of another man, dropping him as it sought to weave further into the flesh, ravenously consuming at his mana circuit and deteriorating at his physical form.
  192.
  193. "Three, Five, Ten, Fifty for all I care..."
  194. He became a walking harbinger of battle, dozens of tendrils arched from his back to tackle those whom dared to charge, savagely butchering their poor forms whilst Exovaryn failed to bat an eye.
  195.
  196. " They're all still human, and all fodder to my growth. With each one I consume.. I grow stronger..." He reminded Espa, reaching out with his right hand to extend his telekinetic grasp unto his figure, focusing upon his neck to collapse his airways. The clenching of his fingers only remotely tightened his hold further, threatening to disrupt the spinal columns of his frame.
  197.
  198. " To me, you're naught but an insect. " He drew his manipulating arm close, only to flail it out for his captive, telekinetically shoving him several meters away for the soils once more, rather than snapping his neck.
  199. "Go on... Call more. Feed me further... As I've stated before, there can be no Progress... Without Sacrifice... Sacrifice more your fellow comrades, and perhaps you'll find change." He suggested.
  200.
  201. It'd sooner rain the remnants of the absorbed before Espa could reply. The flailing tentacles of this monstrous Harukean toiled the cadavers of his victims back down as a solemn reminder of one's antics. They were stripped of muscularity, mere skin and bone, swathed in their Brightholdian armor.
  202.
  203. "That isn't all you have now, is it?"
  204. (Exovaryn "Voss" Haruke)
  205.
  206. Espa would simply grit his teeth in pain as he watched as the guards died before his very eyes. He was a fool. The lad should've told them to run. He should've told them to run but he with that little light of hope. He lost judgement. He was naive and he costed their deaths. Those men had family and how Espa knew not what to say to them...
  207.
  208. His skin would begin to glow and Espa wounds would slow begin to heal themselves as he recovered some energy. The lad would then grit his teeth and glare at the Haruke before him. The montblanc now in a fit of rage, angered at his weakness would push himself further and further using more and more energy. Molding his anger into power and for what might be for the first and probably last time....
  209.
  210. Entering the Dangerzone
  211.
  212. Mystic energy would warp around his being, unstable but still brimming with power. His emotions manifested into an aura, Espa would stance himself once more as he dashed forward to contront the Haruke for the second bout.
  213. (Espa Montblanc)
  214.
  215. A fist connected with Espa's cheek, hurdling him feet before him. " Do you see now? " He queried, casually pacing over to a weakened Espa. " Your hopes are as fragile as the Destiny you deny.." He reached down to clutch at the boy's hair, raising him up above the grounds thanks to his draconic height.
  216.
  217. " How does it feel to contradict everything you stand for, human? Is this, the protection you envisioned? Does it bother you, that you Sacrificed for Progress, and it simply wasn't enough?" He interrogated, breaking into outright laughter that sought to taunt one down to the very soul.
  218.
  219. The onyx symbiote of the Harukean's anatomy oozed through the seems of his midnight black armor, eventually trailing up to the palm of his hand to directly clasp at Espa's neck. The cold touch of Lyperion Utovex's substance was life-prying, draining at one's mana circuit even in its modesty, protruding from his reach to suspend Espa into the air at the end of an animated whip.
  220.
  221. " Now, now... Certain acquantances of mine wouldn't like me leaving a mess where-ever I feed." He went on, turning for the legion of fallen- A graveyard of Brightholdian soldiers.
  222. " I suppose I'll just have to clean up..."
  223. Maws parted, cheeks torn asunder, beckoning the cackle of vermillion static. The Harukean's esophagus swelled birthing a magically conjured singularity midst his gullet portrayed by the familar lavender gleam.
  224.
  225. To one's surprise, these open jaws were not aimed at Espa... But the many he had sent into battle. The gravitational pull of the Black Hole generated a galestorm that'd siphon the many cadavers from the scene, vacuuming the grasses of their bloodless bodies and hypercondensing them into marbles of matter: Attire and flesh alike.
  226.
  227. This was something he had condoned only due to the implication of Alexandra. If he was to co-exist within society for the time being, he would have to clean up prior to his actions... To ensure he was not as easily traced as he was months earlier. What was once, a graveyard of the fallen... Was cleaned...
  228. The transformation underwent was soon reversed, flesh mending back together through the regenerative processes and animated whip vanished to allow Espa to fall to the soils behind him.
  229.
  230. " There... " He finished, wiping the imaginary blood from his lips.
  231. "I cleaned up the mess, so you don't have to fret about their relatives... Now, no one but you will know what went on here..." He assured.
  232. "You... and your friend that is..."
  233. A glimpse in the direction, in which he saw Karou flee in followed, though would eventually digress back to Espa.
  234.
  235. " I came here for Sacrifice. " He explained... " And you, have given me -just- that... " Such was emphasized with a grin.
  236. " You lived... At the cost of their lives..." He explained.
  237. "That... Is the law of equivalent exchange. Proper payment." With that... He turned his back on Espa, moderately drained of his circuit thanks to extensive contact with Lyperion Utovex, but otherwise.. Alive...
  238. What damage he intended to mise, aside from that of countless families spontaneously losing their loved ones to the unknown? Seemingly vanished?
  239. ... Truama for one's actions, that he intended would eventually change them... Perhaps, they'd see things through his eyes soon...
  240. Perhaps...
  241.
  242. With every last Brightholdian soldier consumed save for Espa, he started with his leave... Sparing him, thanks to the Xspertian belief he abided in.
  243. (Exovaryn "Voss" Haruke)
  244.
  245. The fight between the two would take place once more. Espa blinded by his emotions and his mind lost deep in the dangerzone for what would be a mere moment. Simply vanished. Unable to truly wield the power and draining him a great deal of his stamina what was but one minor thing that ended up in his defeat...
  246.
  247. His body wounded and drained, pulsing, visible veins all over his body to show the severe stress it had undergone to perform such a task such as entering the dangerzone. The Mystic realm. Despite it all, he would be held by the petrifying, cold touch of the man's tendrils. Forced to watch as he cleaned up Espa's mistake and when he was finished. Nothing was left of the guards existence.
  248.
  249. Not even the blood that was spilt. It was as if they weren't even their to begin with and no-one will know what truly happened to them. All because of one foolish lad's poor judgement. The families unable to see their bodies one last time all because of Espa's choice. He lived and they died.
  250.
  251. What kind of hero lives by sacrificing others.....
  252.
  253. He would fall to the ground in tears, his form glowing once more. He looked over to the man glaring at him. Espa wanted to continue fighting him but he knew that was foolish and he knew that wouldn't bring back the men that died trying to protect him. As such he simply bashed his head into the ground repeatedly, gripping at the grass as he mourned over the guards. As if they were his own flesh and blood he cry for them, putting the blame on himself rather than the one who acted it out.
  254.
  255. The young Montblanc would slowly raise his head from the ground and then said to him " .....Just go. You've caused enough turmoil and devestation upon these lands. GO! For the next time we meet... "
  256.
  257. With that said, he simply rested he head back unto the ground. Gripping at the grass in pain
  258. (Espa Montblanc)
  259.
  260.
  261.
  262.
  263.
  264.
  265.
  266.
  267. The march of a small handful of boots, a trio, a fledgling and their father in Boyd's tangent company, watching the aftermath unfold from afar, noticing the lifting of a boy engulfed in a flecking of mixxed smattering, between common energy and it's mystic counter part.
  268.
  269. Boyd hadn't yet taught Espa the true nature of the Mystic arts. When his son came to be upon the ground left as he looked across towards what little remains stayed present of the guards that so valiently tried and failed to fight Exovaryn in Espa's place, only to fall and leave Espa to fight him alone anyway. "Aurius, tend to Espa. . ." He provided his order, pushing upon closing the distance between himself and the assailent, mana bursting in a harsh storm of mystic energy, great columns of mana forming into great paws clawwing and placing themselves onto the ground.
  270.
  271. Olive hues locking upon him, Right hand reaching upwards. "Halt. . . Do not think you've gotten away without a witness. It has been seen, what you've done, and now is your chance to justify yourself."Hoisting the mighty great sword in hand, The Transcendant Blade, hummed as mystic energy roared into the edge.
  272.
  273. "Have you naught the honor of man to dignify yourself as a beast over all as opposed to the actions of a man with a warrriors heart? Are you enough of a coward to have fell'n so many defenceless? Men and women whom now cannot return to their families?" Boyd's hues locked upon the man, if he didn't dare to stop, perhaps what would come should he not would.
  274. (Boyd Montblanc)
  275. He would notice the scene from a slight distance, his younger brother being a part of the scene. The scene that he had noticed once he was done being caught up in his spar with Ruloth. He would also take note of the numerous bodies on the ground, until they seemed to dissapear and have no trace of any of their bodies left. This was truly unforgivable, along with the hurting of his younger Brother.
  276.
  277. "How horrid..." He was speaking of the man before them and of the scene that ahd unfolded befoer them. "People like you are the reason I fight, so the innocent and hardly battle trained don't have to experience the pain and suffering people like you cause" His face would show a look of anger that would be directed towards the man. he was obviously not happy.
  278.
  279. "As my dad said, now is the chance for you to Justify yourself and surely it will be the only one." He would keep his focus on the man that had caused pain to all those that were around before being devoursed by the man "The real question is how can you justify the killing of numerous people for your own personal gain? Are you seeking power? Are you doing this jsut of of sheer boredom? What is it?"
  280.
  281. These were his questions towards the man. "You harmed these people and you harmed my family, that I cannot forgive" The anger was present in his voice but it was more of a calm anger if that amde sense. He wasn't trying to be agrresive, not yet at least. Getting this mans answer was his goal and was most likely the goals of the others for now. Hostility wasn't a thing that need not be present at this very moment.
  282.
  283. His words would untimately decide his fate, but was he able to justify his killings? That would remain to be seen for now dimitri would keep his focus ont he man, his full focus on him. He was listening closely and intently for the mans words. He didn't want to fight if he was able to justify his reasons. Fighting would most likely be the only alternative towards this man for the hurt he has cause and will cause to the families of the ones he killed if they were to find out about their loved ones deaths.
  284. (Dimitri Montblanc)
  285.
  286. He would follow Boyd with good hasted, unaware of the situation that was before them. Aurius couldn't but look out at the man who caused this pain, and all the destruction. The things that he wanted to protect. Aurius was ready to charge at the man, when suddenly, Boyd would send Aurius to the side to heal Espa.
  287.
  288. His eyes widened, as he looked towards Espa, realizing the desperate help that he needed. He didn't understand why it had to be him, but he saw how vengence worked for Dimitri and Boyd, and Kale was just that much stronger than he was. He clutched his fists, and sighed.
  289.
  290. "Fine. You got it, sir. Just get damage for me." Quickly, Aurius would rush around to the side of Espa, keeping his eyes on the man that caused this pain within Espa. He wasn't going to let him make a move on him, especially when he had healing to tend to. Aurius looked down at Espa.
  291.
  292. "Yer gonna be just fine, don't worry. We'll bring vengence, by their names. For now, let me fo my work." He looked towards the group, hoping they do their best..
  293. (Aurius Nullion)
  294.
  295. Exovaryn's pace slowed in the wake of an arriving Montblanc-- Another member of the family he had recently assaulted, now coming with apparent wrath that badgered him. It was akin to a mosquito whizzing by his ear, daring its silence. He started to regret sparring the child of his gluttonous appetite, but could Boyd fill this void? He was intercepted, and stopped outright in reverence, staring with a facial expression as stoic as ever.
  296.
  297. Olive eyes met black scelera and blank cornea, detailed only with its outer ring of glowing hazel. The Harukean symbiote terraformed his physique from the common human's own, surprisingly silenced of irradiated depravity. He was seemingly neutral from a sensory's standpoint, harboring a symbiote that could cloak him, from even those adept in Mana Sensing...
  298.
  299. To those in realization of this, Non-corrupted aura of mana, it was safe to assume he broke the mold of the common chaotic magi, maddened by their power.
  300.
  301. " I am a member of a race that feeds off mana to survive. " He claimed. " Much like herbivours roam the lands, carnivores control their population. It is only nature..."
  302.
  303. "I... Am the magi equivalent. " He explained. "Without them, I could not survive... It is as simple as that." He sounded callous, lacking any sympathy for those that had fallen to his appetite.
  304. " I do not harbinge cowardice... I merely seek opportunity." He clarified. " It is because of their disappearance, they I sustain. " With that, he fell silent, eyes digressing to one's blade, and soon after another swathed in their aura.
  305.
  306. " . . . Unless you have a proper alternative as to how I may sustain in this world, there is, no other way for my continued existence. Though, if you're here to attempt challenging that, to attempt heroics as many others have before you... Step forth. I will face you, should it be your desire. Simply know of the consequences. "
  307. (Exovaryn "Voss" Haruke)
  308.
  309. Boyd remained standing, firmly watching the demeanor of Exovaryn. Hearing what amounted to little more than an excuse. "If to exist is to consume, then you are no more valuable to the world than a Yokai, no less monsterous than sin itself. No more human than the abominations that traverse atmos." His blade remained angled, olive hues pointed and burning with a vented and calculated intention.
  310.
  311. Of sour demeanor his eyes locked upon the mana hungry creature. Not worthy of being called man, or a person. "Repugnant monstrosity, you have failed to observe your opportunity at repentance, to display remorse. Your intentions are known now, to sustain yourself, at the cost of the lives of many others. No one life outvalues another. As such, today you will be struck down. Shown your follies and set right." The Transcendant blade peterred out of it's directive, returned to a battle stance.
  312.
  313. He hoped that his son and the father of Aurious, if they weren't efficient in combat, and chose to stand by his side, well, he may as well be fighting on his own. Blade at it's readied posture he spoke one final line, the challenge known to the world now.
  314.
  315. "I'm no hero, I'm no monster, I am but a man, who seeks to avenge his fallen comrades. And you, foolish creature, are the cause of their deaths. I know not what you have done, with those missing, however the act of cruelty of consuming everything they are, is something I am incapable of overlooking. Perhaps I will never be humble, but in my lack of humility, I shall be riteous. Fight as your life depends on it, for it does this day." Boyd kept to his pose, waiting to see if it was just he and the Harukean, or if those at his side would join against him.
  316. (Boyd Montblanc)
  317.
  318. A foul creature?
  319. Akin to Yokai?
  320. No... Exovaryn was something beyond that. The mere thought of someone deeming him naught better than such forced him to aggravation. It could be seen through the expression on his face, the snarl mised across his visage, the disgust of it all.
  321.
  322. " This, is the very attitude that makes me hate you 'heroes' the most. So careless as to anything but yourselves, and masking it as a greater cause. You are selfish beings, xenophobic to any and all that simply exist seperately and differently from your own methods. This is why nothing can co-exist in this world. If only you heroes could be taught, be trained... Educated in a matter that simply brings realization to the cycle that is life: The Circle of Life." He clarified, briefly dabbling into philosophy.
  323.
  324. "There are so many usages that my mere presence could aid you with.." He started... " I could rid you of your enemies, feeding myself and protecting your people. Otherwise, they'd go to waste at the end of your blades. It's simple human nature, is it not?" Regardless, the ethernal pyre of one's materializing malice festered at the face of his armor, rolling off in a pungent smog.
  325.
  326. " Or I could tend to your sick bound to a hospis, if not simply disarming magical instruments that inevitiably turned against your favor. You see?" The pyre erupted into a vile upheaval of discord, amalgamating his mana with the oozing symbiote corroding at the Occultist's swathing aura.
  327.
  328. " My intellect and capabilities have many uses. Though, if you want to attempt squandering that, I'll have fun tearing you apart. It's insolence such as this, that irritates me beyond forgiveness."
  329. (Exovaryn "Voss" Haruke)
  330.
  331. His olive hues simply loomped upon the Harukean, was the man misunderstood by Boyd? Perhaps a little, however, the deed remaind factual, he'd taken lives of Brightholdians. "The Cycle of Life. . .you bring such a philosophy into play? There is nothing natural about you. About your crude ways. Tooled in a way as to seek vanquishment of your guilt. Effervescent guilt, the hot iron that brands your soul, yet you choose to ignore. A star will endure your presence for a long time, if not for the depravity that such acts must come with, then from the vile scars that it simply must bring down upon your soul." Drachelowen was pointed now, once more, in a battle stance, at the haruke.
  332.
  333. The eyes of the man viciously upon Exovaryn as he stood. "Intellect, of a cruel beast, capabilities of a monstrosity. Sure, you could rid us of our enemies, however the utopia you seek is a world without war, a world without war is a world without dreams and aspirations, ultimately it is a world that is stale and tarnished, lacking beauty. So long as there are 'enemies' to one side or another, there can be this contrasting light, that comes with the cruel connotations. Without war, without conflict of interest, man ceases to be man." He prepared his mana, to lunge after the Harukean.
  334.
  335. Battle would be had, regardless of Exovaryn's interest ot leave, or feed. Blade would clash against the vile organic of Exovaryn's occult tendrils, and the Lyperian Utovex. "Today you fight for your life." His olive hues focussed upon Exovaryn, a brief click coming before mana expelled itself, careening after the mage opponent.
  336. (Boyd Montblanc)
  337.
  338. "LIKEWISE, HUMAN SCOUNDREL!" One's blade was parried by spared tendrils of Lyperion Utovex, forced back to tremor at one's muscularity, eventually toiling it from their defense. It was an opening he took upon himself to mise a punch of cosmogonic porportions unto his face, cheek indented on impact, rippling the fleshy cheeks of his visage in slow-mo.
  339.
  340. Intense focus would come to pass, leaving time restored without any distortion of it on the magical arcane. Boyd's form was forced to rivet through the scene, bouncing violently across the scape and shredding at the grasslands underfoot, until he'd finally carve out a cylindical crater dozens of meters away.
  341.
  342. " You want to wage lives? You want to kill in the name of your Gods? In the name of Kraus? Uray? Ryujin? I don't care. They're all but fallacies, and you? A fool for standing amongst such, claiming righteousness." He extended an arm out for the Montblanc, visage grimaced in evident disgust.
  343.
  344. "I'll... Erase you... " The whistle of magical essence agglomerating midst his palm preluded the spawning of a globular amassing of Cosmic and Occultic. The fusion lead to transcendence of its visuals to that of a crimson star, scaled down to the palm of his hand. Gravitational influence compacted this conjured energy, intensifying it for the strike he'd presume to end this encounter.
  345. " For the insolence against nature, and refusal to accept what is. You don't deserve to live..."
  346.
  347. A nudge unto the fabricant issued its propulsion, bee-lining directly for Boyd to deliver an explosion intended to engulf him whole!
  348. Perhaps, it'd draw in attention from afar, even as distant as Brighthold itself. No longer would it be a secret that a scuffle was underway, but would they make it in time?
  349.
  350. Unfortunately for Exovaryn, the blast released wasn't nearly enough to take out the Brightholdian... Thus, he'd wait, staring into the dustcloud that rise in the wake of the violent combustion. Silent... and Anticipating...
  351. (Exovaryn "Voss" Haruke)
  352.
  353. Boyd had taken quite the wallering from Exovaryn himself, plating of his armor ruttering away a great deal of mana among the blast, even if in time he had stepped out of the way of the bulk of it, the earlystages of it's aftermath still remained.
  354.
  355. Boyd's torso shifted within the cloud of smoke, dodging shrapnal of earth from the blast as he found the cloud itself to beo something he could use to his advantage.
  356.
  357. Agile, fluid, and direct, it wasn't long that a blast of his own came out of the cloud, trailing the dust that refused to settle immediately towards Exovaryn. Taking a jilterred turn he himself swung wide, to evade the fallout of what such an attack by the Harukean could bring. An idle glimpse looking down as he took to making a break for coming into a blind spot of the Harukean, optimally using the time only that it took for him to evade the Alpha blast, and the dust to cover his motions..
  358.
  359. The decision made, to take advantage of the contents of a pouch at his hip, confiscated rings from glacium prisoners, potent magical rings that aided them in resisting the Brightholdian magi durring the assault they had attempted so very shortly after the initial battle. It glowwed with a distinct and, to the minor holy at play in Boyd, disgusting ichor. "You missed." Boyd simply called from down the way towards his eastern side.
  360.
  361. Once more prepared to do combat, even if the ring he bore caused his discomfort, it would have to be what he'd make due with. This was one fight he couldn't just lose.
  362. (Boyd Montblanc)
  363.
  364. The advantages pressed upon by the distraction thrown forth in the first bout he had any true semblance of an advantage. Olive hues breaking to watch individual tendrils, knowing them to have been a downfall for his striking of Exovaryn, priorly sending his lunges off to the side from the primary target. A brief grin crossing his face, in turn having made short work of the Haruke. "You'll erase me? For my insolence against nature? There's been quite a few folk that have accused me, and Brighthold itself, of that." He resumed his battle posture, focussed on preparing himself to strike at the Harukean again into the third bout of combat.
  365.
  366. "Know that I am truly sorry, having to fight like this, but, I kinda promised some one that I'd make it be more than twenty years. Something so engrossed in your misguided ideals couldn't possibly understand. I fight you not in the name of Kraus, not in the name of the Urayan Patron Spirits, nor Ryujin. Nary even Asena." Boyd stood before Exovaryn, shield hand pressing briefly to his heart.
  367.
  368. His eyes looked down upon Exovaryn, the round's conclusion long passing as he provided words for the Harukean to digest. "I fight you over the fact that those you have consumed will not be seeing their families again, they will not ever bring their light and share their good, their ideas, their works of the world. Vagrant murder is not something that I freely will sit idly by and endure of my comrades. The breaking of my son's will is something I will not tolerate." Olive hues creasing tighter together, as he simply percieved, deigning idly over the Harukean's visage.
  369.
  370. Noting the curling and twisting that each blow brought the man. "I admire the viscosity you bring to battle, I can tell you're no mimic, nor are you a malpercian or yokai, a yokai capable of immitating the form of man would have made much shorter work of me. I know and care not for what you are, no matter which you claim or feign, you've done nothing but evil before my eyes." He simply took a deep breath as he finished his speach.
  371.
  372. "It is for all these reasons, and for the fact that you have threatenned the destruction of my existance as a whole, that I shall be the warrior that puts you down, so that no others are harmed by your sick and twisted visions of 'nature.' " with that Boyd lunged forth once more, pressing his edge and coming into the battle anew. Alike to fighting Flyn, Boyd predicted Exovaryn's magic almsot flawlessly, and fighting occultists being second nature ever since the Tilandrean championship? It made Fighting Exovaryn quite. . .predictable.
  373.
  374. He certainly hoped that Lyperian Utovex wasn't the Harukean's only trick, otherwise he'd be quite disappointed.
  375. (Boyd Montblanc)
  376.
  377. A murmur hummed from his rising form, soon to evolve into blatant laughter. He couldn't believe that rhetoric Boyd spouted, laughable to someone such as himself. "You're so swift to talking high and mighty, when in reality you haven't even seen what I can do..."
  378.
  379. As he rose upright, what damages were mised upon his armor, revealing cuts and scathings were slowly contorting. It was the flesh beneath his armor that acted in reverence to the many he had consumed prior, slowly zipping sealed in compliation to the crimson static that danced upon the wounds: Regeneration, one of the many factors to Lyperion Utovex, finally unveiled to the public.
  380.
  381. " You have... No idea... " Visage structure seemingly mutated, adopting to that of one of the many faces to that he had consumed.
  382. "- how wrong you truly are, Valmasian." He took a step forth, a grin mised upon his visage, stretched from ear to ear.
  383.
  384. "None of them are gone, simply moved... They forever live in me. Perhaps, I'll never garner their precious memories as Malpercians do, but I will forever have their ideas and collective intellect. Perhaps I will never have perfect mimicry as Mimics do, but I will forever harbinge their sembelence, flesh and being. Your eyes, are examples of biased perception. Humanity is no exception to this... It takes a chosen few to rise above the rest. It is why I can associate with Yokai whilst humans squabble to them as slaves."
  385.
  386. "You claim my Evil, and claim your Greatness, though when I offer you Peace, Salvation from your Sin, you refuse... You refuse because it strips you of your... Humanity? How inane a concept. Though, if such is truly the case, then a perfect world that knows peace, is one that has seen the Apocolyspe."
  387. Exovaryn was back up to his feet... Ready for another round, prepared to see this bout to the end- whether it'd be Boyd falling before his Might, or him, vanquished for the last time...
  388. (Exovaryn "Voss" Haruke)
  389.
  390. "So. . ." Boyd's eyes simply remained, the cascading mana of the mystic arts, flowwing and billowing about his form, the great paws of the Mana Overcast technique, the metaphysical protractions of himself, and the embodiments of Erwyd's gauge on the battlefield.
  391.
  392. Boyd knew he couldn't win ultimately, Exovaryn proving to be an equal match for him at this point, so far. Even with the added advantage of having a ring that mitigated away a great deal of the potency behind the mage's mana. It would be a miracle, or well placed blow that made all the difference, that would decide this battle, not at all his skill.
  393.
  394. Just as the fight with the mage within the caverns had been, coming down to one final blow to decide the flow of the battle, the remainder, would Exovaryn be bested? or simply repelled for the moment? The olive hues remained upon his foe as he stood up to him. Finally he would continue the thought. "You steal the dreams and visions, the goals, the ingenuity of others? That truly is no less vile than a Yokai consuming for growth, or a malpercian sacrificing the living for mana. Here I thought. . . there was some semblance of redeemability, for all of your talk of being capable of great things. All I've seen is a beast that refuses to stop growling at a man whom is remotely interested in learning about them.
  395.
  396. Violent, selfish creature, even Azrael has no place for you, I am certain." With a clicking clench, Boyd came into a battle stance, for the long haul against Exovaryn, his focus upon his foe, it was a battle of the ages, with no doubts in mind.
  397.
  398. His hues simply remained on Exovaryn. "I'm no hero, I'm no monster. I am just a man, whom wishes for the world to be a better place for those after himself." He stood letting Exovaryn get up. "Once again, a beast so inept, like your ilk, the theives of ingenuity, and the cradle of stolen genius. . . you couldn't understand why I fight you, and why people like me will continue to fight you. It is not a matter of evil or greatness, it's correcting twisted vision on matters, It matters not if you are depraved or pure of heart, a cruel act is still cruel.
  399.
  400. His eyes remained upon Exovaryn, as one final lunge began his assault into the final phase of conflict, the deciding factor of if Exovaryn would escape or if he would be bested.
  401. (Boyd Montblanc)
  402.
  403. He was being beaten back, warded against, forced into a corner in which he sought for ways out. Any weakness he could take advantage of. As opportunities were stripped from his endeavors he was forced to act more chaotically. If he couldn't take down Boyd via conventional means...
  404. Eyes digressed for a moment to glimpse upon a spectating Espa.
  405.
  406. He may've been being tended to from his scuffle prior, but still in no condition to fight just yet... It was a thought to take advantage of his position, protected only by Aurius, whom simply appeared too young to hold off against someone of his stature. A fragile pair that could be...
  407. Voss' eyes drifted back over to Boyd...
  408. He could use such to his advantage.
  409.
  410. " Azreal, from what I can tell, does not exist. Kraus, is dead. The Urayan Gods are naught but mere fallacies. Asena, is a myth. As for the Sirenian? A mere mutation having occured over a period of time. All that is true, is what is. What exists on this plane of reality is what truly belongs in the tomes of history. Do not juxtapose me to entities of a farce. There is only Destiny and Oblivion. There is only Lyperias: Goddess of Fate; And I, a Seer of Destiny, Harbinger of Inevitability."
  411.
  412. The earth underfoot quaked under the generation of his reserves, peaking for their brim, shattering at the hardened topsoil and casted off in a faceless extension to the Occultic aura smothering his physique.
  413. " Only after me will Humanity learn Creation through Destruction. "
  414. Alas, a pillar of lavender light scoured for the heavens above, surrounding the Harukean for a brief instance as he awaited Boyd's break from his standstill...
  415.
  416. Every step and movement counted from here on in...
  417. His future as he fathomed it, depended on this moment here...
  418. Should he hold off Boyd enough to exploit a weakness? Or would this be where his story ended...
  419.
  420. The incomplete journey of Eutan's alleged successor.
  421. (Exovaryn "Voss" Haruke)
  422.
  423. A lunge from both sides lead Boyd's blade to glaze against a stray tendril of Lyperion Utovex, flash-crystallized to ignite sparks of the Montblanc's blade to flutter in their aerial dance. Feet grinded into the dirt as Exovaryn pivoted around to face the warrior once more. A kneel synced in with a lean preluded a leap for his adversary, now condoning to flight to close proximity swiftly
  424.
  425. " Time and time again, I find myself challenged by Humanity's numbers!" A fist pried back thrusted forth to be met with the blunt side of Boyd's blade, shock waving the general scene with a burst of repelled inertia. "Your ilk simply -FAILS-" A serpent of the immaculate void struck for Boyd only to slap its barb against solid steel. "to comprehend the difference betwixt one of MY stature, and one such as YOURS!"
  426.
  427. A horizontal slash for his vessel was promptly avoided, though a follow-up bound vertical- His shoulder was gashed open, armor shredded from his physique, and a chunk of the flesh and bone followed. A blatant gasp resounded with semblance to a hiss, eased through gaped maws to reveal the acuminate teeth rowed within.
  428.
  429. He was hurt! Though, nothing he couldn't regenerate with time.
  430. The overcast of mana belched in his direction fusilladed Voss, withering him down as the technique progressed... Though, something seemed to be off. With every strike against his person, despite damage being mised, chunks hurdled at him were siphoned away at their very touch!
  431. He was passively striving to absorb Boyd's mana throughout their scuffle, albeit the endeavor feeble.
  432.
  433. "ENOUGH!"
  434. A telekinetic outburst surged throughout the general scene, thrusting Boyd feet, yards... Meters away... Before Exovaryn abruptly ascended for the skies above, clearly peeved. "You want to right the wrongs of this world?! You want to pay retribution to cruel acts of the realm about you?!" He exclaimed, clasping his hands before him prior to further vociferation ensued. "Then so be it, here's your chance to prove yourself, Valmasian!" He pried his hands apart, strained under the immense pressure generated between their palms.
  435.
  436. At the center of his revealed grasp hovered a marble: A pit in the gravitational field-- A singularity forced to suckle in on itself in the making of its outer-shell. A black pit, vacuuming ravenously in various directions produced a gale-storm that threatened to sweep away those hundreds of feet below. The aurelean glow of cosmogonal energies emanated from betwixt clutched fingers, soon tainted by the touch of the preternatural prowess to transform it into a pristine product of abysmal proportions.
  437.
  438. Rather than an ear stinging whine, this hand-molded phenomenon buzzed through the atmosphere akin to a symphony of saws. This craft was far more concentrated than the last attack he prepared, mean't to shave away at armor and flesh on contact prior to combustion. Ignition of such determined to have engulfed radius akin to a small cabin, churning away at the soils in its alabaster hemisphere shaped explosion. It's target? Not Boyd...
  439.
  440. He found what he was ogling prior: Espa, still injured and Aurius tending to him. They were vulnerable, thus the perfect targets.
  441. The prolonged stare from such a height was mean't to give Boyd incentive to charge for his son, for his healer to choose either ripping them out of range, if not parrying the blast before it could meet their forms.
  442.
  443. There were no more words... Simply a prod, and the blast would fly forth...
  444. It was free game for anyone whom wished to spare the duo from this fate... And an opening for Exovaryn to attempt his getaway. He had held off a wave of Brightholdians, Espa and Boyd. Further confrontation, was not on his schedule... He got what he came for, and now he was burning more energy than he had consumed.
  445.
  446. "Good Riddance." He remarked, as he flew off for the Sarabbean Desert line... Should he have not been intercepted, or dragged down before he could make the distance.
  447. (Exovaryn "Voss" Haruke)
  448.
  449. He finally got to the side of the battlefield with Espa, and from there, could finally start working with Espa. Though, he was unaware of what his actually injuries were, and still didn't realize why they didn't all try to take him out at once. He knew how badly Espa needed the help right now, so it was in his best interest to deliver.
  450.
  451. It was when Boyd started to look on the losing side that Aurius got worried about the battle. He wanted to jump in and help Boyd so that they could all go home, but, even that would seem impossible...After so long, he treated Espa, to where his injuries were no longer life threatening. He let out a sigh of relief.
  452.
  453. Soon, he saw flashing, and looked out into the distance quickly. The great flashing over them, he power felt unreal, and he had so little time to react. Espa was so vulnerable, and Aurius flinched, before jumping out, taking a hit that would have likely killed Espa. "Espa!"
  454.
  455. Aurius let out a shreik of pain, as the blast hit him directly in his torso> It was like the blast had simply torn through his armor, and the blast hitting his skin only made the pain even worse. He felt as though the skin was getting torn right off of him, like it was being rearranged. Aurius stumbled for a moment, and then fell close to Espa's side. The hit may have saved Espa, but, all it did was leave Aurius out of the fight.
  456. (Aurius Nullion)
  457.
  458. The fighting had been fierce, though he didn't intervene. Simply watching Boyd and the occultist trade blows, and ideologies. Something he'd grown weary of over the years. No reaction was seen from the males face, as he watched the battle, puffing on his soothe reed, doing nature magi stuff. Untill something unexpected happened.
  459.
  460. The bastard injuried his boy. Strands of darkend brunnete hair began to rise, the earth bellow trembling as the man was filled with rage. Cinnamon eyes, and blackened sclera locked onto the target. Sparks of violent golden lightning snapped out, eating at the air that surrounded him, and vines began to sprout forth, natures wrath bending so his will.
  461.
  462. "I don't give a fuck about you, or how you live. Not only have you slaughtered these men and justified these actions with a bullshit excuse, you've hurt my boy. You need mana to survive? Well you're about to get your last supper." His brow furrowed, and one last thing would be said, before charging towards the man.
  463.
  464. "I'm going to eviscerate you, and use your gastrointestinal track as a condom while I fornicate with your skull."
  465. (Kale Minerva)
  466.
  467. Dimitri would step up now as well, alongside with Kale. "You killed the soldiers here and absored the, you hurt my Brother and then you hurt my dad? I won't let you leave here" HIs would take his sword off of his back and wrap himself in an aura of energy magic it's blue hues shining brighter than they ever had before. He wasn't going to back down from this oh no. He was a soldier and soldiers fight.
  468.
  469. He would bring up later statements though "You said you could be of use to us, that may be true but at what cost? Allowing yopu to continue to selfeshly take the lives of others just for one persons survival? Should we keep you alive just so you can kill more people and cause hurt in the hearts of their loved ones and the people that cared for them? I would rather throw my life away to prevent that from occuring any further."
  470.
  471. His words were absolute and they were true "I wouldn't be able to live with letting you pass through the borders of the Sarab jsut so you could wreak more havoc across this land. I don't think that the people that fought you here today would be able to live withemselves either if you didn't fall here today and I'm sure of that.
  472.
  473. He would look straight at the man that had taken many lives this day. 'There are no needs for words now though, your end shall be here" With that he would fall silent and take the stance of the Garuda and ready himself for the upcoming battle that he was about to have a part in. surely this was going to be no easy fight and surely he wouldn't be left without injury but he knew the risks of this. He was as ready as he could possibly be for right now.
  474. (Dimitri Montblanc)
  475.
  476. The battle was a fierce one, but it seems that his occultist was no match for the battle hardened Minerva. His ally may have fallen, but he refused to go down. Teleporting around, hurling bolts of lighting, golden strikes piercing the man who'd hurt his son. "You'll regret harming -my- family." With those words grunted, his vines wrapped around the mans legs, only for him to break free of the grasp. Several attacks were taken in as they traded blows, injuring the man, but nothing to slow him down from his onslaught.
  477.
  478. With an attempt to end the battle, a field of spores would surround the man, the earth itself rose, wrapping around his legs, halting his flight. A single hand extended, crackling, sparking, hissing as the electricity was coursing over his body, and down to this single appendage. Palm facing him, releasing a concentrated blow of his electro and exorcist energies. While this wasn't enough to kill the man, it pushed him out of his confinement, and into the dirt and grass bellow.
  479.
  480. "Nothing." A snarl. "Fucking nothing...gets away with harming my children." A few final words uttered, before the man charged again, attempting to end this duel.
  481. (Kale Minerva)
  482.
  483. The battle would start and blows would be exchanged from both parties, some of those Blows came from Dimitri before he would fall from his opponents magic. He was once again felled by the force tht was opposite of his. There were injuries on his body, burns cuts and gashes and they did inf act hurt but they would not incapacitiate him, not yet at least.
  484.
  485. he would still say nothing towards his opponent as he didn't feel the need to speak words, he would just pick himself up and fight once more. He wawsn't going to be put down just yet. This round he most likely wouldn't be as effective as the last round but he would still muster all of what he could in this next bout against his opponent.
  486.
  487. He would take his stance once again and wrap himself in the same energy aura that he had called for the round before this one. He was't going to be put down jsut yet but this would most likely be that last bit of power he could muster before he could no longer fight.
  488. (Dimitri Montblanc)
  489.
  490. The battlecry of an infuriated Harukean, once attempting to make his departure from the scene was assaulted further by more of Brighthold's forces. It seemed as though their magi were determined to smite him, to force him to adhere to their justice. He would not have it. Though, he couldn't help it, he was overwhelmed, battered down by Dimitri and soon ensnared by Kale.
  491.
  492. A bolt of paradisaical fulmination threatened to penetrate at his abdomen, leaving him to fall limp, electrified- muscles spasmed and form exhausted. He had hit a threshold of fatigue, forced to extreme measures. Incapacitation would last only for so long, before he'd break away for the skies once more, glaring back unto the duo.
  493.
  494. " You lot are a persistent bunch. If it takes battling every single magi and warrior in your stronghold, so be it!" He exclaimed in a clearly wiled mannerism. He had held off most of them thus far, what was two more?
  495. "But this time, I won't be playing any games... " The stakes were being risen, with three magi fallen and countless warriors consumed, it was only a matter of time before someone would push the desperate Harukean too far.
  496. (Exovaryn "Voss" Haruke)
  497.
  498. Another fierce battle took place, forcing the man to push his limits. It had been ages since he'd engaged in a duel that was so...invigorating. It caused him to feel a bit of a youthful spark, reminding him of his previous battles, previous wars, though, these thoughts were immediately clouded by rage. The sight of his son being harmed forced out years of pent up rage, and he was taking it out on this man. Chasing after him, forcing bolts of lightning to crash upon the man from the skies, hurling boulders made of marble, whipping him around with vines, and assualting him with every bit of energy he could muster.
  499.
  500. Though, this didn't come without his own fair share of injuries. The occultic magic clashed into his scream, releasing a painful howl, only furthuring his rage, not slowing him down in the slightest. Crimson liquid trickled down his arms, tainting the previously green grass bellow, forcing it to contain the same color of his blood. An arm was wearily raised, clothing glowing blue, etched out symbols radiating a cerulean light, while mumbling something under his breathe.
  501.
  502. Indentions carved into the ground bellow the man, each beggining to glow as mana was poured into them. Using the life from the grass, mana residue in the air, and other manners of life, the runes would feed upon this, while snatching the man down, confining him in a runic prison. "I want to kill you for what you've done, but that isn't my decision to make. You can answer to Jerudiel for what you've done. I'm through with you." Turning away, he'd look for any brighthold survivors, and issue a command. "Take him away. Keep him 'comfortable' while he awaits his judgement. To all of those who've been injured may come with me to recieve treatment."
  503. (Kale Minerva)
  504.
  505. The battle begun after what words were exchanged from both parties. Magic clashed with magic and Dimitri's blade would strike thier foe dealing whatever injuries would come to him. Suprisingly Dimitri had performed better this time around that ne did in the previous round of their fight. he wouldn't be without his injuries though and they would be worse than the battle before.
  506.
  507. More cuts and gashes lined the boy's body and there were a few broken bones thanks to the force of the Haruke's magic. He was truly skilled iwth it to say the least. In the end Kale and Dimitri would rise victorious once again ocver their opponent who was ordered to be taken away by some of the Brighthold guards that were still hanging around.
  508.
  509. Dimitri who would be laying on the ground obviously not wanting to move in the slightest because that would only make his condition worse would mutter a few words before passing out himself from the injuries he ahd recieved "At least....we won" after these words he would fall silent and fall unconcous leaving him in the hands of the Brighthold forces that remained.
  510.
  511. Kale had mentioned healing before so he would most likely be the one to be tending to Dimitri after he was taken to wherever they treated the injured.
  512. (Dimitri Montblanc)
