THERA

Before Nicator made Thera famous, he was involved in freeing Ashtan from Darius and the Shallamese. Halfway through the third century after the Fall of Seleucar, Ashtan began talk of annexing Thera. Then-mayor Ariel, with the support of the Sentinels Guild, refused to have Thera annexed. A century later, the Vertani rained down meteors upon the town after a failed attempt to dominate it. And, recently, a sinister something has the townsfolk whispering and fearful.

Mhaldor

When Lord Sartan was replaced by Lady Eris as the Divine Patron of Ashtan, conflict arose between the city and the Infernals who were loyal followers of Evil. In the end, they were driven out and their tutor slain. After Lord Sartan despoiled Lady Valnurana and cut out her eyes, he was bound and cast into the western sea by the other Gods. A mountain was thrown upon him to trap him, that he may never commit such an act again. Loyal followers of Sartan began to sacrafice themselves upon a stalagmite found deep within the newly formed island. With each sacrafice, a red fog grew untill it coalesced into the form of Lord Sartan. Reborn, Lord Sartan created the beginnings of Mhaldor and formed the Maldaathi Knights who would follow in the footsteps of the Infernal Guild. Recently, Lord Sartan has chosen to split himself in twain and take the form of the Gods Shaitan and Apollyon.

Cyrene

cyrene was formed by the dwarf Cyr Ruminic and his grook companion Enna Ministrickle who were followed by a group of people seeking to escape the constant wars between Ashtan and Shallam. Cyr cleared out a forest high in the Vashnars so that he and his followers could settle there and build a city. Centuries later, Lord Phaestus showed Osric Ruminic how to defend the city from attacking ogres. Czanthria was made the Imperiate after a period of in-fighting among the citizens of Cyrene and after the dragon Ainghaeal was slain. The city became a haven for all those looking to escape conflict. It also became a place of wealth and a center for the arts.

Eleusis

Eleusis was first discovered when the dryads led the Sentinels guild to it, though it had existed long before that. Eleusis was officially recognized as a city-state in 324 AF after Covenant Stormcrow laid down the foundations for a modern goverment in Eleusis. The Jaguar crime syndicate sought to extort the forestals, but eventually disappeared after leaving an Eleusian woman called Shandala and her daughter dead at the gates of Eleusis. some years later, the Vertani gave Eleusis a floating monument as a gift, but it was later discovered that this monument pulled aggrssive beasts from Vertan and the monument was destroyed.

Shallam and Ashtan

Shallam and Ashtan were formed by two brothers, Sahart and Glanos. Both of these men were in love with a woman called Enalia. When she would not choose between them, the brothers set off in opposite directions and founded the cities of Ashtan and Shallam. Though the brothers had taken great pains to avoid conflict with each other, the cities they founded would always be at odds. When the two cities later discovered each other, they fell to fighting over ores in the Siroccian mountains. The two cities continue to conflict with each other constantly on every concievable matter.

Hashan

The city of Hashan was built in the Ithmia to the disapproval of the deities Gaia and Lupus. Lupus sent werewolves to protect the forest, and only ordered them back after Lord Twilight persuaded and soothed Him. After Hashan was fully constructed and during the Aetolian saga, a chest and its key fell from the sky. Charlotte Vouivre would be the one to open it and unknowingly unleashing a vortex of flames that destroyed the city and would not die until Lord Sarapis took pity upon Hashan and put the flames out Himself. Hashan carries the claim of being the home of Aringar, the first to join the hosts of the Dragons as well as Elentari Lokelinde-Danial who Ascended to become Lady Ourania.

Garden of Whispers

The garden was built by a sculptor named Darius, who asked that The Logos help him win the heart of the woman Niliana. Lord Sarapis, so touched by the work of the sculptor, made the girl fall in love with Darius and they were married. However, the girl was drawn to the garden and began to believe that they statues were more beautiful than the gods. The gods, angry at the girl, began to whisper contradicting things to her, driving her mad until she threw herself from the cliff. Darius thought that her fate was his punishment for accidentally leaving a statue of Lord Caspian out of the garden. He corrected his mistake, building an alter to the God on the place where Niliana fell to her death before stepping off of the cliff to join her.
