2017 speedrunning year / 2018 plans

Overall
* 44/115 of my runs on SRC were this year, that's pretty cool I guess
* Lots of meme records
* Getting closer to the overarching goal of running all the "traditional" Nep games' New Game category.

January
* RB3 NG+ w/ eject strats from V (managed mid 1:14 before ragequitting over crashes)
* SeHa NG+ Vita "completing" for the standards/strats at the time (got 53 NG+ True and the 13:49 Bad which looked good at the time)
* V NG+ (got alright runs of NG+ Normal/Good End for HDD)
* Megadimension NG+ w/o capcard delay (got a lot closer and/or beat Aaron's times, though he improved again later on)

February
* TPDP: YNK Round 2 Shizuha routing w/ RNG manipulation + good run (2:37)
* First go at RB1 NG NoDLC (1:51)
* First go at RB2 NG NoDLC (1:21)

March
* Better run in RB2 (1:18)
* Did RB2 DLC (pure meme) and RB1 DLC (less meme, managed 1:25)

April
* what are speedruns
* SAO: HR plat """record""" (best time on psnprofiles by a few minutes, not an actual speedrun)
* confirmed how OP Megadimension JP is (free 38 in NG+ Bad)

May
* still mostly SAO HR casual, but
* routed and completed an okay run of RB3 NG No DLC Normal End (2:02)

June
* Pokemon Red Tournament! Made the bracket by defeating Gunner after mixed performances in my first two matches.
* Sega Hard Girls PC came out, set various records on that incl. first dips into Normal/True End NG
* Rb2 Conquest routing, lost a possible sub2 run to lategame crashes

July
* Europe Trip including ESA!
* This is where I got interested in FFF: ADF, but didn't actually pick it up seriously until December
* Red Tournament stalled due to SGDQ/ESA, but I made it to the Quarterfinals after one (internet-related) false start
=> Shoutouts to Legend who helped me get setup with passable mobile internet in the UK despite being my opponent that round.

August
* Narrowly eliminated from the Red Tournament in QFs by Araya, though it took a yolo-E4 comeback by me for it to be that close
* Quietly picked up Twitch Affiliate status, haven't really put it to any use yet.
* Knocked SeHa NG True all the way down to 1:07 via various reroutes, and set a NG+ True time
* Marathon season! Tech work for PSR, then lots of runs for Nep marathon.
=> Barely missed out on sub 2 VII True during derust, barely missed out on sub 2 Conquest during the marathon itself.
* End of the month saw the standardization of SSD for Neptunia PS3 games and my first foray into V NG, to be continued next month

September
* Took all Victory NG records (2:18 Normal, 2:54 Good, 3:18 True). Run quality varied, though all can still be improved by a lot.
* Rerouted RB1 NG NoDLC and finally claimed that record, ended up with 1:35, 14 minutes better than the old record.
* Got round to doing SeHa NG Normal again and chopped almost 4 minutes off.

October
* Loosely took the month off from Nep speedrunning, though I ended up running some similar games anyway.
* Achieved a long-standing speedgoal of running Tales of Xillia NG, got the 5th best time for Milla side (3:03)
=> Didn't achieve longterm goals for the game (sub 3h Milla side and doing a run of Jude side) but will revisit later
* Got hooked into OQ by 0xwas/aurora's runs and got some decent NG runs of my own (1:37 Normal, 2:29 True)

November
* Relatively quiet month, but...
* Megadimension Plat race, record 10:18 which still stands for now
* SAO Lost Song runs, NG+ 2:05 and blind NG 4:33, revisit sometime in 2018

December
* 12 Days of Nep successfully got the marathon channel affiliate
* SeHa Plat record 7:26, RB3 Plat record 10:48
* Tried RB1 DLC with colo glitch and found it won't be an absolutely free record over my old glitchless run, needs more investigation
* Fairy Fencer ADF finally caught up to me, pushed all three NG+ routes times down fairly significantly
* Made a very poor life decision and tried to run the original Fairy Fencer, did eventually manage a sub 40 run at the cost of -20% sanity

2018 (tentative) PLANS
* Knock another minute off each of my FFF times if at all possible. ADF Evil Goddess and OG FFF might test my patience too much though.
* Derust Xillia for Tales of marathon and possibly knock off one or both of the longterm goals.
* Derust what I need to for the MK2 Nep marathon.
* Run mk2 NG and Vanilla Nep NG followed by running VIIR NG when it's out in English.
* Run SAO Lost Song again for at least the NG Sub 4 and maybe the NG+ Sub 2.
* Maybe learn a new Pokemon or Tales, though nothing specific appeals to me just yet.
