  1. [14:56] Moavug Zayllur says, "Doing a medic lesson."
  2. [14:57] Moavug Zayllur says, "Come to the house..."
  3. [14:57] Moavug Zayllur says, "If you want to learn it."
  4. [15:03] "Alright, so let's get started with the most simple of things, introductions and rules, right?" He turns around to grab the chalk of the blackboard and writing his first name down. Underneath it, he would put a simple cross that reflected the medical sign for health as well as a few other things. Afterwards, he would turn back to Miyoko. "I'm Moavug Zayllur, doctor and have done a few successful surgeries in the short time I got my license."
  5.
  6. He would then start to write down roman numerals on the board, and to them there was simple rules that he then latter got to add on. It was something that was important to write down and note down instead of remembering it. After he was done, he would turn back over to Miyoko while holding the chalk to the numeral signs and explaining it.
  7.
  8. "Rule number one is washing your hands and your utensils. This is important for every medical doctor to do. If your utensils and hands are not clean, the infections are at an all time high.
  9.
  10. Rule two. Locate what is wrong with your patient before you start doing anything. If you start operating without figuring out what is wrong, then you're doing it wrong.
  11.
  12. Rule three. Make sure that the place your operating in is free of any dirt or anything that can get into wounds or anything else. Infections will only make it worse to deal with."
  13.
  14. He then turns over to Miyoko. "Any questions?"
  15. (Moavug Zayllur)
  16. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  17.
  18. [15:10] After taking a seat and letting her weapon take a spot next to her leaning on the chair. Her hands lay flat upon the table as her magenta sights rest upon the one instructing this class for Medical aspirers. Her eyes would never waver, her intense concentration was keeping that from happening and she knew that this would benefit her as a hold in the Hero Club. Everything about her now was straight. Be it her posture or ears and tail. She was listening.
  19.
  20. Slowly, her eyes became observant on the things that was being written on the board by Moavug. Definitely something she'd want to study on like she did with her magic. She'd retrieve a few pieces of paper and a writing utensil where her hands would quickly and neatly write down each of the information that was written white on the chalkboard. Her notes were completed in seconds.
  21.
  22. Her gaze barely even looked at the paper, but she continued to write. A click as the utensil was placed upon the table next to her notes, she'd shake her head. "No questions for me!" she declared, eyeing her paper once more. The things that she would read over and over again. It had to be second nature to her like it was another spell that she possessed. She was confident in making that a possibility.
  23.
  24. Her hands crossed on the table, ready for the lesson to unpause and continue.
  25. (Miyoko Hayako)
  26. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  27.
  28. [15:15] "Perfect." The declaration was met with another ruling be made that was easy to comprehend. Even though it was basically just simply basic understaning on how things should be, it was important for the mind to know this. If they didn't know this, they wouldn't be able to be a doctor or heal people.
  29.
  30. "Rule four, always make sure that you give them a proper amount of after care. If it is needed to wear gauze, then give them gauze. If you prescribe them with Lax Essence or anything to numb the pain, make sure they take it. Never leave them uncared for after it is over."
  31.
  32. That was it for the rules, the next thing that was going to be important was how to treat burns. He wrote that down underneath it all, and as he did, he smiled. "What do you know of the human skin?"
  33. (Moavug Zayllur)
  34. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  35.
  36. [15:22] The pencil was picked up again as Moavug spoke again returning to the lesson. A warm smile appears on the Kitsune's visage as she wrote, hearing each and every single word that was said and written on the board.
  37.
  38. Aftercare was always important and for Miyoko she knew it was after seeing Rachel in a multitude of bandages in her mid-section. She definitely knew that it was needed for a protected and healthy recovery, no matter how severe the injury might be.
  39.
  40. "What do I know of the human skin?" she questioned, letting her pencil hit the tip of her chin as she pondered the thought. She new the skin was a layer of what protected underneath. Most as which was half of the actual body. "The human skin is acts as a protective layer for what's inside. At time, it stops germs from entering the body and has more than just one layer. It's also very long if measured!" She remembers reading this in the library when she needed something to read other than magical tomes on her current magic.
  41. (Miyoko Hayako)
  42. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  43.
  44. [15:29] "That is very true, indeed." That was when he turned around to draw a few things that was rather weird to draw. It was about three things all stacked on one another and that was it. He would draw lines to each of them. "Alright, so let's explain this."
  45.
  46. He tapped his chalk against the first one on the top, actually drawing a circle around it. "This is the epidermis, this is the skin you usually see that is protected by the layers to guard against germs." He would then go down to the second layer. "This is the dermis, this is where the second layer of skin that can get infected. Rather important that the Epidermis covers this."
  47.
  48. And finally, the third one that he circled a few times. "This is where the nerves of all the things you feel and enjoy are. This is the Hypodermis, this is where the nerves are and this is the third layer that protects the bone." He turns around to face Miyoko once again with a smile on his face.
  49.
  50. "The layers of the skin are needed, and sometimes when someone gets burned, there are a few degrees of them. The first is a first degree burn, that is rather a redness and things of the like on it. It simply needs cold water and some ointment."
  51.
  52. He goes to circle the first layer of skin again.
  53.
  54. "However, there will be times where there will be a second degree burn, and that goes deeper. That will call for ointment as well as gauze for a few months. Make sure you tell the difference, because it will be seen with burning."
  55.
  56. "The third layer, however, is the nerves. They will not feel any pain. But the all time infection is high. It is usually seen with charring of the skin and even expose the bone. That will require a LOT of medical assistance."
  57. (Moavug Zayllur)
  58. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  59.
  60. [15:42] Once again the paper was written on but this time the paper was switched to one that was new and was blank. Providing more space for Miyoko to write her notes on which, this time she was going to have to write a lot more. Notes, questions to ask herself, tips, and big things she needed to remember.
  61.
  62. She didn't figure that it would've been this intense, but the medical field was a serious and needed field in any situation. A single medic versus having none at all can really change the tide of a battle or saving someone's life. All of this needed to be known to the young Kitsune as one day she could be the very resource that judged if someone lived or died. Also, seeing injuries that would freak others out is something Miyoko was going to have to get use to.
  63.
  64. Her pencil stopped. Her head appeared to tilt a bit as she listened to Maovug. "So the epidermis is the top layer, got it." Her pencil would connect with the paper again.
  65.
  66. Epidermis - The top layer of skin on the human body. Guards big bad germs!
  67.
  68. "The Dermis is the second skin laye ron the Human body. Can get infected in the Epidermis isn't present to protect it... Okay," she mutters, writing all of this on her paper.
  69.
  70. Dermis - Can get infected! Epidermis protects this layer and is the second layer
  71.
  72. "Finally, the Hypodermis. Where there nerves lay. Protects the bone." The Kitsune continued to write all this down. She would leave nothing out. She was serious about her notes.
  73.
  74. Hypodermis - The final layer and where the nerves are. This layer protects the bone and anything else underneath!
  75.
  76. As Moavug went back to the first layer, she focused upon the board on which he wrote and gestured towards. Mostly back to the subject of after care and how to treat some injuries, like burns. This is something that was heavily focused since she has seen an abundant of pyromancers lately.
  77.
  78. "What happens if the burns have reached and damaged the bone?" she questioned, that one leaving her a bit stumped.
  79. (Miyoko Hayako)
  80. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  81.
  82. [15:51] "Then... amputation or excision of the area is needed. For example, if their arm is burned to the fourth degree, they have to remove it entirely and replace with something that is a prosthetic of the sorts. Sometimes, they can even die..." He sighed at that, the sad truth of it all is that if it's too late, it's time to go. Even if the burns doesn't seem fatal, it will be soon. So in the end, he shrugs.
  83.
  84. "You can use a mithril prosthetic or an arcanium prosthetic that you can bend and meld to be yours. It is a better usage the more good the quality of the metal you use. Mithril is light, but will add some weight. Arcanium on the other hand is more than capable of replacing it like it was never gone." He taps his chalk on the board to draw such an item and ore, and even going forth to draw two separate shapes.
  85.
  86. "They can replace most things. But in the end, it depends on what you want to do about it. Also, there's something else you should know that is rather important. You can use magic to heal!" He smiled ever so cheerily. "Holy can be used as a pain reliever. Holy water is pure enough to heal some dark things. Holy fire and Holy lightning are capable of cauterizing wounds with ease. There will be some scars when it comes to Holy Lightning and Holy Fire that something like holy water will not give, however."
  87.
  88. With that being said, he then looks over to Lucia. The darkness of it all. "Darkness, too, can be used to force the wound to heal at the cost of your own body suffering. It will leave disgusting, nasty scars and potentially containmate it with influence. Though it's best not to do such a thing..." He looks over to them, worryiness was gone.
  89.
  90. "But that is about it for the first lesson. Study what you have, and study utensils. The next time I call for you, I want a valid explanation of what the tools of the trade are."
  91. (Moavug Zayllur)
  92. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  93.
  94. [16:01] Miyoko finished up her notes. Her quick writing provided her the easy access and now she'd be able to just listen in to what Moavug had to say. A mythril prosthetic or even with Arcanium. She's seen something like it before on someone and she couldn't guess what they had to go through to receive such an injury. Although, they looked to have a good daily life, so was it really that bad?
  95.
  96. It pondered through the kitsune's mind. A metal to replace their arm. A mechanical limb to which it would act if the arm was only wrapped around in a bit of armor. Although, she couldn't really tell how they worked with the nerves of the body. Maybe an attachment to the circuits via magic and mana or connected to the nerves through the same process.
  97.
  98. Miyoko glanced at her fellow kitsune. Assuming when he mentioned darkness, he meant her. Was she like Miyoko? Maybe, but Miyoko never showed off her darkness or occult learnings. It was a mere boost to her flames. But to think it'd only cause nasty difficulties to injuries rather than using the Holy arts. Miyoko felt a bit bad about it that her higher levels of magic couldn't help those in need when they are injured. But! Her normal flames were just enough. She'd go by that.
  99.
  100. "Okay! I think I got everything here to study when I get home, thank you for the lesson Moavug!" she exclaimed, placing her papers away in a seal within her Kimono. Her beaming grin shined at Moavug as she stood from her chair once the lesson was declared over.
  101.
  102. "Right! I'll be ready for the next lesson."
  103. (Miyoko Hayako)
