  1. This is a tier list created with developer and veteran player input, based on the style of game that is standard in the #PTU community.
  2.
  3. Your mileage may vary. If you want to argue about tier placements, please have played the game first <3
  4.
  5. Tier 0: Warper
  6.
  7. Classes that fundamentally alter the way the game is played, as all encounters and challenges MUST be designed around them if the player is the least bit competent.
  8.
  9. Tier 1: Telepath, Telekinetic, Aura Guardian, Channeler, Elementalist (all)
  10.
  11. Classes which combine significant combat and non-combat power, and often obviate certain challenges. Can be difficult to play around, and most class features provide significant power relative to other classes.
  12.
  13. Tier 2: Martial Artist, Rogue, Hunter, Commander [Strike Again], Tumbler, Berserker, Skirmisher, Arcanist, Fortress
  14.
  15. Classes that do one thing well, and that one thing is damage. Usually form the 'core' of a given character due to consistent performance.
  16.
  17. Tier 3: Athlete, Dancer, Musician, Provocateur, Roughneck, Hex Maniac, Oracle, Sage, Ninja, Backpacker, Glitchbender
  18.
  19. Classes that provide cheap support for combat via stat bloat, access to Abilities, and defensive options.
  20.
  21. Tier 4: Cheerleader [1.05], Commander, Duelist, Taskmaster, Chef, Type Ace [most], Ace Trainer, Juggler
  22.
  23. Classes that provide exceptional Pokesupport, usually with three or four feats or by a single, useful gimmick (ex: First Blood/Tag In) that still requires a real damage source to utilize.
  24.
  25. Tier 5: Mentor, Cheerleader [playtest], Researcher, Stat Ace, Survivalist, Chronicler, Rider, Trickster, Capture Specialist, Jailbreaker, Engineer
  26.
  27. Classes that do several things poorly or that do one thing well, but that one thing isn't useful. This tier is defined by classes that are considered 'dips' to poach one or two good feats.
  28.
  29. Tier 6: Coordinator, Style Expert, Type Ace [Dragon], Enduring Soul, Fashionista, Medic*
  30.
  31. Classes that have strictly superior options in all cases, or which rely on a game no one else wants to play (where they aren't even useful anyway because Contests have bad rules).
  32.
  33. *if your campaign has absolutely no access to Pokecenter-style healing, Medic is instead Tier 5
  34.
  35. Tier Z: Hobbyist
  36.
  37. Hobbyist sacrifices access to Class Features for more Edges - this is not a good trade. Do not play Hobbyist unless you need extra Edges to qualify for another, better Class at a very low level for a game that won't progress past level 5.
