- Dear Mayor Adams,
- It has been my privilege and honor to serve you and the City of New York for the past two years as Senior Advisor for Public Safety and COVID recovery. I am proud of the work your administration has done for public safety and migrant services. Our accomplishments in these critical areas are a testament to your administration's dedication and commitment to the people of the greatest city in the world.
- I want to express my gratitude to you for allowing me to return to public service after thirty years of public service in the NYPD and eleven years in the private sector. During my tenure, I played a critical role in ensuring quality assurance for migrant services and security issues, with particular oversight of shelter sites and migrant contracts, with a focus on keeping costs down for the City. I also contributed to advising you on new technology and matters related to the NYPD.
- I have greatly valued my time as your Senior Advisor and the work we've accomplished together. As I look ahead to the next chapter of my life, I've decided to focus on family, self-care, and new endeavors, I have decided to resign, effective Friday, October 4, 2024.
- Thank you, and may our passion, love, and dedication to New Yorkers always be
- remembered and appreciated.
- Sincerely,
- Tim Pearson
