jinnie grew up in a fairly normal household but was constantly surrounded by music. her mother was a music teacher at her school and her father was a fine arts director at the local museum. she worked hard in school and was one of the top students in her class. she was quite popular and had quite a bit of friends. when she was 13 she tried out for yg and made it in. she trained there for a year thoroughly enjoying her time there but not really feeling like she belonged. she moved to pledis when she was 14 and trained there for 8 years before getting the chance to debut in oasis.
