  20.
  21. You peer about yourself unscrupulously.
  22.
  23. Xenthos smiles softly.
  24.
  25. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "I always enjoy speaking of Him."
  26.

  28.
  29. Usurping Maligorn, Avurekhos struggles to claim the Incoherent Crown of Chaos.
  30.
  31. With a lengthy, wintry sigh, the clouds above release a small flurry of snowflakes.
  32.
  33. Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Vyvyan Stormcrow smiles and says to you, "T'iar, Gurashi."
  34.
  35. Perking up a little, you say to Xenthos, "Can tell that is something very dear to you. Like to hear when people talk about things that matter lots to."
  36.
  37. You blink.
  38.
  39. Faintly buzzing, you say to Vyvyan, "...T...t'iar? T'iar."
  40.
  41. With a blink, you say to Vyvyan, "Is that like good-bye? Because if is, good-bye."
  42.
  43. You tilt your head curiously.
  44.
  45. Vyvyan winks conspiratorially at you.
  46.
  47. You blink.
  48.
  49. Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Vyvyan Stormcrow says to Xenthos, "Thank you!"
  50.
  51. With a flap of his wings, a young giant crow flies off to the ether.
  52.
  53. Watching Vyvyan go, you ask, "...t'iar...?"
  54.
  55. You follow Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist to A peaceful glade.
  56.
  57. Xenthos purses his lips pensively, gazing off into the distance as he carefully gathers his thoughts.
  58.
  59. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says to Eliron, "Gurashi has been reading some of the Shee-Slaugh history book. I was hoping perhaps you would be willing to discuss it with him."
  60.
  61. Comprehension flashes across Eliron's face.
  62.
  63. You have emoted: Gurashi follows close behind before looking from Xenthos to Eliron, perking up. "Yes. Was interesting. Was few months ago that read, but... like history of Glomdoring... and -
  64. Xenthos said should talk to YOU if wanted to know more?"
  65.
  66. Faintly buzzing, you exclaim to Eliron, "By the way, am happy to see! Hope are doing O-K!"
  67.
  68. You chirp happily at Eliron.
  69.
  70. The ghost of a smile passes fleetingly across Eliron's lips.
  71.
  72. Inclining his head, Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "I'm well, and it is good to see you too."
  73.
  74. You chitter at Eliron with energetic clicks of your mandibles.
  75.
  76. You have emoted: Gurashi bobs his head side to side happily. "Good."
  77.
  78. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares smiles and says, "As for the Shee-Slaugh, I'm as happy to speak of them as the fel'Greev is of Brother Crow."
  79.
  80. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "Was there something in particular you wished to know, or simply a more in-depth discussion?"
  81.
  82. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "Starting on a more general basis, and then perhaps discussing the An'Ryshe as a part of it."
  83.
  84. You have emoted: Gurashi looks between Eliron and Xenthos, switching between both as either speaks before settling back on Eliron, nodding his head dramatically. "That one."
  85.
  86. Faintly buzzing, you say to Eliron, "See lots of Shee-Slaugh in forest, but only one or two An'Ryshe."
  87.
  88. Comprehension flashes across Eliron's face.
  89.
  90. Eliron nods his head at you.
  91.
  92. You tilt your head curiously.
  93.
  94. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "That last you'll have to take up with Xenthos."
  95.
  96. Eliron's eyes sparkle with amusement.
  97.
  98. You have emoted: Gurashi looks back over at Xenthos.
  99.
  100. Faintly buzzing, you say to Eliron, "...really. Am willing to hear whatever would like to share. Is all very interesting."
  101.
  102. Eliron ponders the situation.
  103.
  104. Faintly buzzing, you say to Eliron, "But have lived and breathed it, and can only get so much from book."
  105.
  106. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "Have you been to the Wydyr Glade?"
  107.
  108. Eliron tilts his head curiously.
  109.
  110. Faintly buzzing, you say, "...ehm, maybe? Am bad with names of places sometimes - many apologies."
  111.
  112. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "You'd likely remember it. Full of slaughs, barghests, and redcaps."
  113.
  114. Eliron nods his head at Xenthos.
  115.
  116. You have emoted: Gurashi lolls his head back to stare up thoughtfully. "...do not know."
  117.
  118. Faintly buzzing, you say, "Sometimes will not remember place until have been to place, and then is like, firefly will go off in head..."
  119.
  120. Faintly buzzing, you say, "But do not think... have been."
  121.
  122. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "Some stories are tied to the place they were born."
  123.
  124. You follow Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares south to a peaceful spring set in the centre of the valley. <-- WYRDYR GLADE
  125.
  126. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "This is the Caoimhe Dell. The Elfen here guard something they do not truly understand."
  127.
  128. Eliron places his hands on the Lo'varai Spring and disappears in a fountain of pulsating energy.
  129.
  130. You follow Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares to a natural spring surrounded by writhing shadows.
  131.
  132. A stout, sinister redcap says, "Looks! The fresh meaties comes to us! We will cuts them. We will bleeds them. We will drains them dry..."
  133.
  134. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares smiles and says to you, "The Wydyr Glade."
  135. A proud, haughty slaugh exclaims, "Are you blind, Eliron? You're standing in it, fool!!"
  136.
  137. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says to a proud, haughty slaugh, "I noticed."
  138.
  139. A natural spring surrounded by writhing shadows.
  140. The shadowy outline of a twisted forest casts a dark gloom here. Amorphous shadows swell throughout the lush clearing, consuming the wildflowers of vibrant whites and pinks that dot the terrain with their bleak and unforgiving touch. Healthy saplings sit firmly rooted in the fertile soil from which they grow, a stark contrast to the twisted and grotesque trees that rise up as threatening towers on the fringes of the small clearing. The gentle bubbling of water rises up from the spring, overpowered and concealed by the haunting crescendo of laughter that swarms through the trees. Shadows swarm morosely about the Hae'vanei Spring, repelled from its crystalline surface by an unseen force. There are 3 golden-eyed, baleful barghests here. There are 4 proud, haughty slaughs here. There are 3 stout, sinister redcaps here. A leopard lurks in the shadows, curiously watching anything that moves. Nothing more than a puffball with cerulean eyes, a seal lynx point ragdoll kitten lies here lounging languidly. A baleful crow perches here, crimson eyes piercing in their glare. A regal slaugh priestess waits here, her posture perfect and poised as she scrutinizes the area.
  141. You see exits leading east and west.
  142.
  143. Eliron looks faintly amused as he turns away from the slaugh.
  144.
  145. Slowly turning in his spot, his eyes wide, you say, "Wowee..."
  146.
  147. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says to you, "Those dark fae who have remained in the Wydyr tend to be particularly proud of it, and one can understand why."
  148.
  149. A golden-eyed, baleful barghest sniffs Eliron, trying to decipher just what that smell emanating from him is.
  150.
  151. Eliron pats a proud, haughty slaugh in a friendly manner.
  152.
  153. The ghost of a smile passes fleetingly across Eliron's lips.
  154.
  155. Nodding slowly, you say, "Can understand..."
  156.
  157. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says to you, "Now, do you remember from your reading of our history what this place is?"
  158.
  159. An unnerving feeling envelops you as you breath in a deeply sickening stench.
  160.
  161. Faintly buzzing, you ask, "This is where... the fae who were affected by Taint were sealed away... yes?"
  162.
  163. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "Mm. Somewhat."
  164.
  165. You have emoted: Gurashi looks over at Eliron, tilting his head. "If remember right... many apologies if forget things. Did not think to take notes from book."
  166.
  167. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "The Taint is a product of one particular soulless god:
  168.
  169. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "During the Elder Wars, when great armies of Elder Gods clashed with many Soulless, there were some who drank a forbidden elixir made from the essence of the Soulless."
  170.
  171. Ilistala, an enormous leopard growls menacingly at a golden-eyed, baleful barghest.
  172.
  173. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares smiles and says, "My own Lord Manteekan among Them."
  174.
  175. You have emoted: Gurashi keeps his limbs pulled close to himself, careful not to bump into any of the wandering barghests or slaugh. "Right..."
  176.
  177. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "The Elixir gave Them great strength, it is true, but it also gave Them the hunger of the Soulless."
  178.
  179. Path rounding through rotting trees.
  180. Long boughs of blackened bark and scattered leaves reach toward the ground and brush against twisted roots that writhe in and out of the soil, spider-like limbs prepared to uproot and scamper away. Blasted trunks and long dead trees are covered in crawling insects, filling the area with the pungent scent of rot, a veritable feast of death and decay. A leopard lurks in the shadows, curiously watching anything that moves. Nothing more than a puffball with cerulean eyes, a seal lynx point ragdoll kitten lies here lounging languidly. A ghostly white grimalkin sits here quietly, gazing over the space with his void-black eyes, the twitchy movement reflected in his limp tail. A bloodthirsty redcap paces here, clicking his claws together menacingly. A baleful crow perches here, crimson eyes piercing in their glare. A regal slaugh priestess waits here, her posture perfect and poised as she scrutinizes the area.
  181. You see exits leading southeast and west.
  182.
  183. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "The dark fae--the barghest, slaugh, and others among them--are those fae that my Lord woke after taking the Elixir."
  184.
  185. Looking at the trees that they pass, you say, "Ah..."
  186.
  187. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "They were powerful against the Soulless, and by their intervention was the Maeve given the time to coalesce and grow in strength to protect the Faethorn, but their service meant little to many of the Elders who feared the touch of the Soulless above all else."
  188.
  189. Showing that you understand, you nod your head slowly towards Eliron.
  190.
  191. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares smiles and says, "The Wydyr is the home--and former prison--of those dark fae who eventually came into the service of Mother Night."
  192.
  193. Eliron spreads his hands and says, "Of course, rare is the prison that none can enter, and the protections placed on their prison were not the most extreme placed on His children."
  194.
  195. A ghostly white grimalkin with void-black eyes's throat rumbles with a low growl as he watches carefully over the space about him.
  196.
  197. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "And so at times, a particularly daring or foolish mortal found their way here."
  198.
  199. You have emoted: Gurashi tilts his head to listen to Eliron once more.
  200.
  201. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "Some even managed to survive doing so, and to find favour with Queen Lhiannan of the Shee-Slaugh."
  202.
  203. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "It is from that line that the mortal House of Shee-Slaugh springs, though it was not until we had proven our dedication to the Glomdoring and Mother Night that we were allowed to claim the name."
  204.
  205. Tilting his head at the barghest as it snarls at Eliron, you say, "Ah... remember that part."
  206.
  207. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "We are an unusual House in that there is no blood-right to our membership. Blood is but the beginning."
  208.
  209. Eliron looks at Xenthos and says, "Of course, we are unusual in that we are a twin House as well."
  210.
  211. You tilt your head curiously at Eliron.
  212.
  213. You tilt your head curiously at Xenthos.
  214.
  215. Faintly buzzing, you ask, "Twin house...?"
  216.
  217. Eliron nods his head at you.
  218.
  219. Faintly buzzing, you ask Xenthos, "Is what meant by... 'branch'?"
  220.
  221. Eliron's eyes sparkle with amusement.
  222.
  223. You blink.
  224.
  225. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "Twin, branch, is one dealing with gardens or babes, or the Glomdoring, where they can be one in the same?"
  226.
  227. Quietly, you ask Eliron, "Ehm. May ask something...? Why do those here keep growling at you?"
  228.
  229. You tilt your head curiously.
  230.
  231. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "They growl at people talking in their presence."
  232.
  233. You blink.
  234.
  235. Eliron nods his head at Xenthos.
  236.
  237. Faintly buzzing, you say, "Oh."
  238.
  239. Faintly buzzing, you say, "....oh."
  240.
  241. Lowering his voice to a whisper, you say, "O-K."
  242.
  243. Whispering loudly, you say to Eliron, "O-K, did not mean to interrupt. Please continue."
  244.
  245. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "Queen Lhiannan has acknowledged the Mortal House of Shee-Slaugh. Those of importance, including my Lord due as well, but some of the others are still a bit, mm, scandalized."
  246.
  247. Eliron's eyes sparkle with amusement.
  248.
  249. You nod your head slowly in understanding.
  250.
  251. Tenebrous shadows race between the trees, flickering on the edge of vision.
  252.
  253. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares smiles and says, "My husband and Prince, Druken, is the one who first discovered our ties to the Shee-Slaugh."
  254.
  255. Faintly buzzing, you say to Eliron, "Yes! Was in book!"
  256.
  257. You give a horrified gasp.
  258.
  259. You have emoted: Gurashi quickly drops his voice back to a whisper, grimacing. "Was in book," He repeats, much softer this time.
  260.
  261. His smile faintly wistful, Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "Ah, good, you have read of him."
  262.
  263. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "Together he and I raised the status of the House until Queen Lhiannan was willing to acknowledge us."
  264.
  265. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "But always was there another family by our side, joined by bonds of deep friendship and dedication to the Glomdoring."
  266.
  267. You tilt your head and listen intently to Eliron.
  268.
  269. You have emoted: Gurashi's attention flickers from Eliron to Xenthos, antennae perking up.
  270.
  271. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "A family that sometimes differed in its approach--as Mother Night may differ from Brother Crow--but no less worthy of praise."
  272.
  273. A miserable squonk begins to weep uncontrollably.
  274.
  275. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "In time, the two families came to be joined by marriage as well, and here came an unexpected question."
  276.
  277. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "For no one wished a member of the Shee-Slaugh to lose the honour of the name, but none may claim the name who do not serve the House of Shee-Slaugh and the Glomdoring."
  278.
  279. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "Nor, however, did any wish to see the lineage of the An'Ryshe fade."
  280.
  281. Mad, distant cackling can be heard, crooning wretchedly over the coppery taste of blood that hangs in the air and assaults the senses.
  282.
  283. You have emoted: Gurashi wrings his hands together, watching as a squonk not too far from him begins to weep and wail, causing him to jolt in surprise. He takes a step closer to Eliron and Xenthos in response, doing his best to keep quiet.
  284.
  285. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "And so the An'Ryshe joined with the Shee-Slaugh, creating the House of Shee-Slaugh and An'Ryshe."
  286.
  287. Whispering, you say, "....so is 'twin'."
  288.
  289. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "Twin, branch, both can be used. Shee-Slaugh is how the Hall of Records records the House--but as the fel'Greev told you, the official records are not always the correct ones."
  290.
  291. Glittering threads of steel drop from the branches above, falling heavily towards the ground.
  292.
  293. You nod your head sagely.
  294.
  295. Raising his voice a little, you say, "Tried to look up, but could not find..."
  296.
  297. You stare implacably at Xenthos.
  298.
  299. Xenthos tilts his head curiously at you.
  300.
  301. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist smiles and says, "I am right here."
  302.
  303. You blink.
  304.
  305. Faintly buzzing, you say to Xenthos, "Know! Was j--."
  306.
  307. A haughty slaugh exclaims, "Must you make so much noise? Be quiet and do not disturb the silence of the forest!"
  308.
  309. A haughty slaugh curls her lip and sneers arrogantly.
  310.
  311. You have emoted: Gurashi quickly throws up his hand to his mouth, covering it and looking at the slaugh that scolded him with wide eyes.
  312.
  313. You stare implacably at a haughty slaugh.
  314. A haughty slaugh locks her eyes onto yours, head tilting arrogantly and lip curled back in disgust.
  315.
  316. You stare implacably at Xenthos.
  317.
  318. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says to a haughty slaugh, "He is a guest of the Shee-Slaugh. Let him be."
  319.
  320. You have emoted: Gurashi's antennae drop back, nearly flat.
  321.
  322. You have emoted: Gurashi shyly shakes his head, dropping his hands from his mouth.
  323.
  324. Very quietly, you ask, "Was just wondering why the An'Ryshe book, if was one, had not been added... or if was lost... or if never was written?"
  325.
  326. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "The books are written for historical families."
  327.
  328. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "An'Ryshe did not exist until I founded it."
  329.
  330. You nod your head slowly in understanding.
  331.
  332. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "So it has no history save that which I've forged."
  333.
  334. Keeping a hand covering his mouth, you say, "O-K.... think am understanding..."
  335.
  336. A ghostly white grimalkin with void-black eyes lifts his chin as an aura of extreme confidence radiates away from him.
  337.
  338. Eliron's eyes sparkle with amusement at a ghostly white grimalkin with void-black eyes.
  339. A ghostly white grimalkin with void-black eyes rubs up against Eliron, purring like a cat.
  340.
  341. Slowly taking in his surroundings once more, you say, "...sometimes breaks brain when think of how much both of you have seen over years. Like. Wowee."
  342.
  343. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says to you, "And the Shee-Slaugh line is historic, even if only in mortal memory have we regained the honour of the name."
  344.
  345. Showing that you understand, you nod your head slowly towards Eliron.
  346.
  347. Slowly taking in his surroundings once more, you say, "...sometimes breaks brain when think of how much both of you have seen over years. Like. Wowee."
  348.
  349. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says to you, "And the Shee-Slaugh line is historic, even if only in mortal memory have we regained the honour of the name."
  350.
  351. Showing that you understand, you nod your head slowly towards Eliron.
  352.
  353. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares smiles and says, "But it has been a good partnership."
  354.
  355. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "Together, both Houses are kept strong."
  356.
  357. You have emoted: Gurashi slowly nods, watching a ghostly white grimalkin with void-black eyes as it responds to the chilled air.
  358.
  359. The sudden pulse of light from a firefly can be seen nearby.
  360.
  361. You have emoted: Gurashi takes a deep breath, turning slowly in his spot before facing Eliron. "Many thank yous for teaching..." He whispers, trailing off as a firefly drifts past, catching his attention.
  362.
  363. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "The history of the dark fae is dear to me of course, but it is important history to know for any of the Glomdoring."
  364.
  365. Following one of the fireflies as it drifts near his face, you say, "Am..."
  366.
  367. The sudden pulse of light from a firefly can be seen nearby.
  368.
  369. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "They have much to teach us about the strength of nature, and its potentials."
  370.
  371. You have emoted: Gurashi quickly shakes his head, returning to look at the both of you. "Agree. That the history is important. And am grateful to know little more of it."
  372.
  373. Gently, you say to Eliron, "Many thank yous for taking time to teach... am grateful."
  374.
  375. A ball of sticky webbing catches a twinkling firefly in a gooey strand and draws it up into Xenthos's hands.
  376.
  377. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says to Xenthos, "And that is the story of our joining. But would you add anything else about the An'Ryshe?"
  378.
  379. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "We are rather more... hmm. The Shee-Slaugh have a number of ways, including what they call the Crowning. This is not something that the An'Ryshe are accustomed to as a family. We do not have such a history as they, so our ways are rather more... mundane, shall we say?"
  380.
  381. The sudden pulse of light from a firefly can be seen nearby.
  382.
  383. You suddenly scoop up a twinkling firefly.
  384.
  385. A twinkling firefly flutters out between your fingers!
  386.
  387. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist smiles and says, "Not as refined, I suppose."
  388.
  389. You have emoted: Gurashi keeps his hands cupped in a loose cage, watching the bug he instinctively grabbed escape. "...mun-dane?"
  390.
  391. Faintly buzzing, you ask Xenthos, "Mean... know what mundane is, but... what mean?"
  392.
  393. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "However-- it is something that was agreed upon with the Shee-Slaugh. Any An'Ryshe who wishes to may undertake that Ceremony. We do not restrict your potential, if such is a path you wish to pursue. It does come with additional burdens, for when you take the name, you take the responsibilities therein."
  394.
  395. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "Shee-Slaugh has the weight of aeons behind it."
  396.
  397. You tilt your head curiously at Xenthos.
  398.
  399. Faintly buzzing, you ask Xenthos, "Like... family honor responsibilities?"
  400.
  401. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares smiles and says, "Though I would not call any particular An'Ryshe mundane."
  402.
  403. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "An'Ryshe tends to be more focused on the present."
  404.
  405. You have emoted: Gurashi tilts his head the other way.
  406.
  407. You nod your head slowly in understanding.
  408.
  409. Xenthos purses his lips pensively, gazing off into the distance as he carefully gathers his thoughts.
  410.
  411. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says to you, "Those who carry the Shee-Slaugh name are expected to live up to Queen Lhiannan's standards, in both deed and demeanor."
  412.
  413. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "Is that the correct phrasing? We do not have the past to shape us, so we have only our own actions."
  414.
  415. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares smiles and says, "True, but the Shee-Slaugh may only claim the honour of the name by our actions."
  416.
  417. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "We prove ourselves solely by what we do."
  418.
  419. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "Perhaps that is why our families get along so well."
  420.
  421. Xenthos nods his head in agreement.
  422.
  423. You have emoted: Gurashi takes a sharp, deep breath, releasing his hands and letting them fall to his sides. "...kind of like that."
  424.
  425. Your stomach notifies you that it is beginning to feel hungry. Perhaps you should find yourself some food. <-- ????
  426.
  427. Softly, so as not to bother the various fae tromping about, you say, "To prove through actions."
  428. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "Aye, of course. I did not mean to imply otherwise! The Shee-Slaugh name is one of great weight and meaning."
  429.
  430. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "I like to think the An'Ryshe does as well, but, it has only the meaning which I have given it. I, and those few others who have worn it."
  431.
  432. Eliron ponders the situation.
  433.
  434. You suddenly scoop up a twinkling firefly.
  435. A twinkling firefly flutters out between your fingers!
  436.
  437. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares says, "Perhaps it is better to say the An'Ryshe are what you have made of them, but the Shee-Slaugh is what the Shee-Slaugh are."
  438.
  439. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "If you wear the Shee-Slaugh name, you must have earned it."
  440.
  441. Xenthos nods his head in agreement.
  442.
  443. You nod your head sagely.
  444.
  445. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "That is closer to what I am looking for, indeed."
  446.
  447. You have emoted: Gurashi looks between Eliron and Xenthos once more, tapping the ends of both sets of hands together. His mandibles click softly in response to the discussion between the two, and he seems both curious and fascinated.
  448.
  449. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says to you, "The two of us have conversations like this rather often, though not on this particular topic."
  450.
  451. A wry smile spreads across Xenthos's face.
  452.
  453. You tilt your head curiously.
  454.
  455. Eliron's eyes sparkle with amusement.
  456.
  457. Head cocked to the side, you say, "Is fun to watch."
  458.
  459. Eliron chuckles long and heartily.
  460.
  461. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says to you, "So. What do you think of what you've heard?"
  462.
  463. Xenthos tilts his head curiously.
  464.
  465. You blink.
  466.
  467. You have emoted: Gurashi straightens in his spot, bringing his hands towards his abdomen and glancing down. "Mean, think was all... is -so much-, and is so -neat-." He pauses, chittering softly. "Neat is not right word. Is -fascinating-."
  468.
  469. Faintly buzzing, you say to Xenthos, "Can see why family honor is so important to you."
  470.
  471. Quirking an eyebrow, Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "Is it something that appeals to you?"
  472.
  473. Faintly buzzing, you say to Eliron, "...also see why would be important to all Shee-Slaughs."
  474.
  475. You blink.
  476.
  477. You suddenly scoop up a twinkling firefly.
  478. You grasp a twinkling firefly firmly in your hands, though it flutters and struggles for a moment, before growing calm.
  479.
  480. Midnight shadows coalesce around a new day, and Mother Night embraces the land in utter darkness.
  481. It is now the 14th of Estar, 530 years after the Coming of Estarra.
  482. There are 27 days until the New Moon
  483.
  484. Finally managing to catch one of the meandering fireflies, you say, "Mean, everything in Glomdoring appeals to me."
  485.
  486. Xenthos ponders you thoughtfully, looking you up and down.
  487.
  488. Loudly, and with great enthusiasm, you exclaim to Xenthos, "So, yes!"
  489.
  490. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "So, no more than anything else, then?"
  491.
  492. Xenthos tilts his head curiously.
  493.
  494. Looking in between his fingers, you say, "Hellooo..."
  495.
  496. Faintly buzzing, you say, "....well, mean."
  497.
  498. You have emoted: Gurashi lowers his hands, suddenly embarrassed. "No. Mean. Of course more. Ehm." His wings flutter a bit. "Is hard to explain in words."
  499.
  500. You have emoted: Gurashi huffs loudly, letting out a high-pitched whistle.
  501.
  502. Haunting lights flicker between the distant trees, dull and soft yet piercing through the stygian darkness before passing out of sight.
  503.
  504. Your mandibles twitch slightly as you voice a brief, curious chirr.
  505.
  506. Faintly buzzing, you say, "Think... appeals to very much..."
  507.
  508. Eliron glances at at a ghostly white grimalkin with an amused smile, then gently nudges the large cat until we moves off.
  509. A ghostly white grimalkin with void-black eyes bobs his head several times just before trotting off.
  510.
  511. Bringing a hand to his head, you say, "Many apologies. Have learned so much, am filled with bees because am happy to know so much."
  512.
  513. You chitter at Xenthos with energetic clicks of your mandibles.
  514.
  515. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says to you, "I've not actually asked someone this before, but, I am interested in adopting you into the An'Ryshe."
  516.
  517. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says to you, "Hence the conversation, and the questions."
  518.
  519. Continuing on, you say, "Is sort of like, there..."
  520.
  521. You blink.
  522.
  523. The sudden pulse of light from a firefly can be seen nearby.
  524.
  525. You blink incredulously at Xenthos.
  526.
  527. Faintly buzzing, you ask Xenthos, "...many apologies, could say again?"
  528.
  529. You have emoted: Gurashi shakes his head a bit, looking a bit boggled.
  530.
  531. You stare implacably at Xenthos.
  532.
  533. Smiling softly, Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "I think the once is enough, aye?"
  534.
  535. You have emoted: Gurashi's hands separate, and he drops the firefly that was in his grasp, arms hanging limply at his side. He squints, confused, opens his mouth, shuts it again. His mouth opens a second time, and he lets out a short, strangled chirp, finally managing to bring one hand up to his chest.
  536.
  537. Eyes wide with shock, you ask Xenthos, "....me?"
  538.
  539. Ilistala, an enormous leopard stares at you while he stands flummoxed, then pads over and prods you in the chest with her nose.
  540.
  541. You have emoted: Gurashi clicks his mouth shut, looking down at Ilistala, an enormous leopard and gently resting two hands on either side of her head. He stares into her great blue eyes, taking a deep, trembling breath. "...would..."
  542.
  543. Voice wavering, you say to Xenthos, "Would be... -very- honored."
  544.
  545. (The Shadow Kindred): You say, "Me cry."
  546. (The Shadow Kindred): Xenthos says, "Weep."
  547. (The Shadow Kindred): You say, "Cry!"
  548.
  549. Xenthos ponders the situation.
  550.
  551. Faintly buzzing, you say to Xenthos, "If would have me, would be honored."
  552.
  553. Xenthos makes a beckoning motion to no-one in particular.
  554.
  555. You begin to follow Xenthos.
  556.
  557. You begin the process of considering Xenthos and Tacita as your parents. During the next two Lusternian years, you may FAMILY REJECT PARENTS if you realise these aren't your parents.
  558.
  559. (The Shadow Kindred): Eliron says, "NEW FAMILY MEMBERS PARTAY!"
  560. (The Shadow Kindred): Eliron says, "Cough, I mean, you have your tender moment."
  561.
  562. Suddenly speaking very fast, as if catching up to his previous panic, you exclaim, "And will do everything that can to help with family honor things and will be sure to uphold Glomdoring and Thornwatch and An'Ryshe and will be doing very best at all times and promise even though am from Kepheran hives will be BEST Glomdoring bug that ever was!"
  563.

  566. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says to you, "You can enter the An'Ryshe manse now."
  567.
  568. Eliron's mouth turns up as his face breaks into a smile.
  569.
  570. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares smiles and says to you, "Welcome to the family."
  571.
  572. You have been invited to join the clan of The Royal Court of Shee-Slaugh. Type AGREE if you wish to join.

  575.
  576. You are now a member of the clan of The Royal Court of Shee-Slaugh.

  581.
  582. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "Perhaps we shall celebrate by joining the astral hunt for a time?"

  585.
  586. You have emoted: Gurashi nods quickly, so fast and with so much effort he nearly keels over, leaning on Ilistala, an enormous leopard for support.

  597.
  598. You lean on Ilistala, an enormous leopard seeking consolation.
  599.
  600. A loud rumbling emanates from Ilistala as she rubs against you.
  601.
  602. As the dawn begins to paint the sky, flickers of light go out across the Wydyr Glade as the fireflies go to rest for the coming night.
  603.
  604. Eliron Shee-Slaugh, Herald of Nightmares smiles and says, "A half day is about what I could manage."
