  1. [2016/08/01 10:16] That Which Lurks In The Dark (Event): The moon, barely visible against the morning sky, was radiant and whole in the distance. Slowly, however, the sky around it began to darken, creeping in from behind the pale halo like blotches of ink into paper, blinding out the white of the clouds and blue of the heavens. Yet everyone and everything was as clear as day, the sun gone but its light present. Little by little, the pale moon began to bleed, turning as red as spilled blood...
  2.
  3. [2016/08/01 10:19] Cimorene didn't like this one bit, the cat was on edge the forest didn't feel right, the moon didn't feel right. She stalked through the forest, tense, her body on full alert. She was calling out to other shifters, though they all seemed to still be asleep, a soft whine left her throat as she stalked behind a large tree and stayed there, her head swiveling around nervously.
  4.
  5. [2016/08/01 10:22] Olivya Glenwalker paused, sensing others around her. She observed a little longer and saw the ritual seemed to be more of a séance. Since it was a ‘question and answer’ affair and not the ‘bring something horrible from the other planes’ thing going on, Ollie turned and began to slip away. The whole red moon thing was freeking her out a little bit, but she’d seen scary things before. Live and let live she said to herself. Beside scary and spooky didn’t always mean ‘bad,’ she reminded herself.
  6.
  7. [2016/08/01 10:28] Rhys Williams peers past his shoulder, around past the tree trunk behind him as well. He becomes aware of everything and everyone nearby... Well. Mostly. He counts those around him and where they are. One, two, three including the Artisan... Four? Where's the fourth?... Strange, but such thoughts are brushed aside for the time being. He rises back to a stand, pocketing his notebook and gesturing toward the sky. He speaks with the guardian ghost present. "Is she doing this? Illusion, I presume. The sun's gone, but the heat isn't.... Powerful... But not.. Multisensory?.. No. This isn't her. She doesn't do illusions.." It's hard to trick a genius.
  8.
  9. [2016/08/01 10:32] Misaki This was...wrong. Something was wrong. Everything about this insanity was screaming WRONG. The fox growled low under her breath. She didn't feel comfortable so exposed like this in her true form. Her gaze turned towards the nearby water and she scampered to the water's edge, staring into her own reflection before she changed shape, the fox body consumed in flames of black and white for just a second before she was standing on two legs as a fox woman. She felt a lot safer walking around in her intermediate body in freaky situations like this, it made it easier to defend herself if it was necessary. Then, she returned to her spot, trodding on the ground barefoot and giving Cimorene a sharp nod in passing. The cat woman should have figured out she wasn't a shifter by now, she wasn't picking up the secret shifter messages after all.
  10.
  11. [2016/08/01 10:33] The Artisan (ascilia.enoch) leaned forward as the summoned ghost began to answer... but as the moon started to bleed, they both looked up. That the Artisan could see the darkening sky and the reddening moon clued her in that something was very very wrong. "Please forgive my having disturbed you," she rasped as she ended the spell that brought it here. It immediately vanished. The guardian next to Rhys shook its head. {No, she is not doing this} The Artisan pulled an orb from her pocket, a metal sphere that fit neatly in her hand. A reddish haze radiated around the artifact and she concentrated upon it, rubbed it with her other hand as she began its activation.
  12.
  13. [2016/08/01 10:37] That Which Lurks In The Dark (Event): The wind, howling, picked up, cutting through fur and hair like the dull tongue of a blade. Senses seemed to diminish faintly in this place; vision lessened, hearing muffled, touch dulled. The forest had grown still, silent as the dead. This was not Mother Nature at work. At key points around the sacrificial stone little mole heaps began to form, spilling up dirt and dust as something underneath stirred, the ground trembling. Spires of flesh and stone speared up from the earth, one by one until they girdled around the site, tall enough to be three people. An awful sound of bones snapping just to reform cracked from these spires, their silhouettes jerking to-fro like a poor man in seizure. Half-formed appendages spilled from their shapes, clawing at the air, clawing at themselves. The dark stone turned liquid and fell from their mangled bodies like cloaks, hardening until they had become just that. As they straightened out in unison, a skull of a horned wolf spilled down onto their faceless heads.
  14.
  15. [2016/08/01 10:43] Cimorene whined again, she didn't like it and when Misaki appeared where the fox had been, the cat almost paw-faced. She was safer in wolf form, stronger, shifters always were. Her large body padded forward to place herself close to Misaki, everything about her stance said "RUN NOT SAFE" not that the cat could vocalize those words right now. Cimorene had already been through hell during her months of captivity, forced to watch humans and supernatural alike tortured alive, listening to their screams. It was the reason she was such a Polly Anna type woman, her mind had protected itself by shutting out all that was bad, leaving the seemingly slow witted shifter behind. This was not something she needed to see but she was frozen in place, by fear or by morbid curiosity, her eyes locked on the forms growing out of the ground, in her mind she was screaming for the other shifters but even that seemed muted to her. It was as if someone had thrown a large blanket over her, muffling all senses and locking her into the illusion though now that illusion was mixing with the horrors from her memory.
  16.
  17. [2016/08/01 10:46] Olivya Glenwalker was about to turn around and walk away until she saw the sun again. Then things got turned up a notch on the scary factor. Ollie blinked and wasn’t sure what to do next. She had no reason to disbelieve anything she saw. But then again, had a hard time dealing with what she saw. So she froze in place. No reason to give away her position, and no matter how scared she was, it took a lot to make her actually run. So for now she watched from her hiding spot.
  18.
  19. [2016/08/01 10:56] Rhys Williams rears his neck back as... Things (not those Things) begin to form. His first thought? "... Fuck. I thought I had you exorcised.." He had something else temporarily exorcised. Fun fact about a Haunted Forest? More than one thing haunts it. He lets his backpack slide from one shoulder and swing around him, and he unzips it to begin rummaging about. "Artisan!" he calls out, hoping she might hear. "Ready a banishment spell. Or something!" His hands find what he'd been searching for: A vial, a lighter, and a spray can. Because why not? Many reasons.
  20.
  21. [2016/08/01 10:59] Misaki moved out of her hiding spot and fell into line with Rhys. It looked like something had gone seriously wrong, and the dead-looking woman's spell was over, but all of this crazy shit was happening. Yellow fox eyes glanced around at the three giant creatures and her fingers flexed, the steel claws scraping against each other. She noticed Rhys had a lighter, and a smirk crossed her face. "You." She pointed to him, then his lighter. "Make fire, please. Will help." Her skill with fire wasn't great enough to conjure it from thin air yet, but if he could make a decent-sized fire...
  22.
  23. [2016/08/01 11:00] The Artisan (ascilia.enoch) continued to focus on the Von Bolstein's Orb and at her feet, a skeletal hand thrust upward from the confines of the ritual circle, latched onto the altar, and dragged the rest of the skeleton free. A large rust-mottled sword clutched in its other hand was lifted into a guard position as it stepped around its summoner to interpose itself between the Artisan and the materialized creatures from under the ground. The orb is returned to her pocket and her hand comes back out with a quint. The four guardian spirits also rush back to the Artisan's side and take up positions at cardinal points around her, behind the skeletal warrior. She was glad Rhys happened by; the mutant was formidable and nigh indestructible. When he called out for her to ready a banishment spell, she grimaces. It was unlikely that this wasn't going to get violent and she couldn't perform the necessary Ritual in the midst of combat. "Or something!" she rasps back, letting him know plan A wasn't likely.
  24.
  25. [2016/08/01 11:04] That Which Lurks In The Dark (Event): The humanoid shapes turned their ugly visages upon the people that had gathered nearby. The tallest of the lot gurgled something akin to a thoughtful hum while the others began to chant in preparation for something vile and ominous. The sound – while too soft – scratching across one's eardrums.
  26. "...Iä Rntýiglok cf'ayak'vulgtmm, vugtlagln vulgtmm..."
  27. The supposed leader of the trio spoke up with a wet voice as black mire trickled from underneath their jawbone: "Company of Cumberworld, you are not welcome here at the hour of the Cain. Disperse, or see your flesh used for ritual."
  28. The twin acolytes shifted, their cloaks rippling like water as their appendages underneath poised in readiness for combat, slivers of light gleaming off cruel daggers they'd drawn. Nearest, it was the Artisan that fell prey to their ill intention, trying to cut into her with daft swipes otherwise not sought behind their gangly shapes.
  29.
  30. [2016/08/01 11:11] Cimorene was soon going to be a danger to everyone, as past and present mingled before her eyes, and the draw of the moon grew making her reactions more base, more instinct driven rather than logic. Her head threw back as a roar ripped from her throat, it wasn't the normal roar of a jaguar but the soul-howl of a drabarni. She didn't do it on purpose, the cat was trying to soothe herself, not that the howl helped, it was to soothe the soul, not the mind. When she had been locked in the cage she hadn't been able to defend herself or anyone else, but for now she was locked in place, watching in horror as the things attacked. Her mind screamed in rage that she couldn't watch another innocent be harmed. Taking a step back she lunged, not for the things attacking but for the tree, the large cat climbed it easily her claws sinking in as she made her way out on a branch her body poised, though she didn't attack... yet.
  31.
  32. [2016/08/01 11:16] Olivya Glenwalker faded into appearance as she reprioritized her cybernetic focus. Quickly, almost instantly she brought up physical shields around her and the three facing the visages (minus the cat who was safe in the tree for now). The shields would crackle and glow, but not harm those inside. As she did, she came around from the tree with her pistol. Aiming at the closest acolyte or dark creature that she had a clear shot on, she’d do her very best to ‘flatline’ the thing. (I'm doing a bonus roll on the shot.)
  33.
  34. [2016/08/01 11:25] Rhys Williams hears a sudden howling from his rear, a wave of calm washing over him. Soul Howls are powerful things. Exhausting, but powerful. A Shifter sacrifices a small portion of themselves each time, and in return there's not a sentient creature in existence that can so easily dismiss the magic. Compared to that, Rhys is just... A speck. Fear is present, but buried. It doesn't grip him. His lighter and spray can are tossed off to the woman requesting fire. "Here. You do it." he tells her. He instead focuses on protecting The Artisan. He drinks what's in the vial, wincing as he does, and then he presses forward. No weapon. No fear. No defense. Just a nice old punch to the Disciple. Of course, Rhys is no ordinary human. This strike carries with it inhuman might.
  35.
  36. [2016/08/01 11:26] Misaki The knives were drawn, the fight was on! The lighter was caught, but the spray can was forgotten, and shoved into a hidden pocket for later. Cimorene's soul howl to calm the soul only gave the woman sharper focus, her tail flicking in excitement as her gaze went to her target. The kitsune was dashing into the fray, a slight chuckle slipping from plump red lips as she leaped into the air, moving to slash the first acolyte with her steel claws, aiming for wherever the throat should be. She always went for the quick and clean kills. <"Return from whence you came, creature! You are not welcome here!">
  37.
  38. [2016/08/01 11:29] The Artisan (ascilia.enoch) lets her guards do their work as the malign entities target her. The soul-easing howl of the Drabarni Shifter was very welcome to the ghosts /and/ the Artisan. The skeletal swordsman steps in front of the first and intercepts the blade, though the tip of the dagger bites into the bone of its ribcage before it rolls around to block the attack of the second. That dagger also dips past the sword to score bone. The four ghosts each have a hand on their mistress, to push and pull the Artisan away from danger as best they can so she can do her job which, in this case, was securing reinforcements. Luckily she was in a place that was perfect for necromantic casting and well-seeded with what she needed to accomplish it. The reagents were already laid out since she hadn't had the chance to pack back up. She shouts an incantation, another summoning, and snaps the quint between her fingers. Reagents are consumed. ((Necro 2 + Necro Affinity + quint = complete in one round)) And the zombies rise!
  39.
  40. [2016/08/01 11:33] DJ (djaf.dockal) runs threw her forest with simple delight , where some feared the area for the shifters this was home and they knew it well , so well that the minute she enters the odd area she tenses and stops her ears lowering back and a low growl issuing from her muzzle , there was no sound , it was not right , no animals moved , no birds chirped , something was terribly wrong , then the call is issued and the little wolfs ears perked up as she hears a sister calling for help and she would bolt in that direction the Chuara could not ignore a call from family for help and it was likely a good thing the soul howl was calming her because normally I call for help would induce a wild rage and need to protect as it was the small black wolf streaks threw the woods and follows her nose to her sister
  41.
  42. [2016/08/01 11:34] That Which Lurks In The Dark (Event): The head of the ominous trio remained motionless, even as a single bullet barely missed by an inch, only cracking the horn of its ram skull. As the acolytes disengaged from the Artisan to protect their master, the Disciple began to bleed profusely from its mouth. Blood that stank and looked like tar. Was it channeling something?
  43. As if to sacrifice itself, the first acolyte ran directly into the kitsune's claws, spraying the same tar-like blood even as it sprang deeper into the fray, barely missing a step to remain in sync with its kinsman. As Rhys bolted in, both brandished their sickly daggers in ready to plunge into the man's upper body to defend the head of the beast.
  44.
  45. [2016/08/01 11:39] Cimorene had no idea who was coming but she felt the awareness in her mind, <Danger, bads, must protect, must save,> her voice was desperate even in her own mind, Dj would hear the fear, the terror that wasn't brought on fully by what was happening around her. She had no idea that her soul howl had helped the others, all she could focus on was the things growing from the ground, as the acolytes attacked so did Cimorene. She lunged from the tree not at the acolytes but at the one behind them, her heavy muscled body pounced from the tree limb a snarl ripping from her throat as she attempted to not only land on the Disciple but sink her claws deep into it's chest.
  46.
  47. [2016/08/01 11:40] Olivya Glenwalker combat was scary and confusing. That’s why she paused and carefully chose before entering into the fray when she did. And prayed she had it right in her head. Ollie maintained the shield hoping that (Power Description: Physical Damage Shielding (4 points): You can take more physical damage than most.) (Extended Physical Damage Shielding (6 points): Like the above, but you can shield up to three others.) Both hands held her pistol level as she went to fire again. Her visor optical helped her lock onto the targets of choice buy held her fire, trying to cover the man, the Kitsune, or the big cat, if something nasty tried to jump them from behind.
  48.
  49. [2016/08/01 11:49] :: Rhys doesn't attempt to dodge or block either of the attacks. The knives stab him without resistance.... Well. They stab his shirt. There's a sudden scraping, and it's as if the goons decided to just... Stab a rock. Because that's exactly what's happened. The miracle of impenetrable skin tends to render things like blades and bullets useless against the man, and unfortunately those tend to be the weapons of choice for most people. "Try harder next time." he taunts, retaliating with a bone breaking uppercut at the damaged Acolyte. If it connects, anyhow. ::
  50.
  51. [2016/08/01 11:51] Misaki frowned in irritation as the disgusting blood sprayed and went everywhere. Ew! Tar blood all over her clothes! She flicked her claws clean and moved to attack again, this time aiming to jump up on the acolyte's back while Rhys had it from the front to sink her claws under the mask and into the face!
  52.
  53. [2016/08/01 11:53] The Artisan (ascilia.enoch) 's eyeless sockets center on what appeared to be the leader and, on her mental command, the horde of zombies surges forward to assist the leopard in subduing the ominous figure. The skeletal swordsman and
  54.
  55. [2016/08/01 11:54] DJ (djaf.dockal) gets there in time to seeing her sister leap at someone , she had no clue what was going on simply that Cimmy was scared and had called for help and was attacking this thing , added to this her nose was not working as well as it should , ears either , and DJ would center in on the Disciple and she would take a running leap aiming to bite into its neck uncaring of the zombies who attack before her
  56.
  57. [2016/08/01 11:59] That Which Lurks In The Dark (Event): The Disciple rippled whilst channeling. When the snarling beast pounced she literally sprang right through the thing as if she'd dived into murky depths. As the thing solidified, the swarm of zombies rushed in, clawing and biting into putrid flesh. As she burst out from behind the Disciple, she was matted in putrid wetness that felt horrible on the skin, cold and wrong. (No negative effect.) A puddle had formed at its feetless stem by then. With a burst, an inly cloud sprang from its blackness, spreading out to overlap everyone within. (( Roll higher than 14 to safe yourself from a DOT of 2 for the next two posts ))
  58. The acolyte did not utter a single sound of pain nor protest as another set of claws raked into its face, mauling the bone visage until its snout broke off, disfigured. Instead, the twin acolytes moved in unison for revenge, barely missing the uppercut as they blindly attacked the horde of zombies with a flurry of stabs!
  59.
  60. [2016/08/01 12:04] Cimorene yowled in shock as she went straight through the thing she was trying to attack, before she could even react more was happening around her, screeching and yowling as the inky cloud reached her. The cat felt heavy, weak, as if something had drained the very energy of her soul for within. Rearing up on her hind paws she swiped madly in front of her, her claws bared, trying to rend the flesh or whatever it was from the Disciple.
  61.
  62. [2016/08/01 12:10] Olivya Glenwalker held fire as too many body were intermingled at this point. Unless she could ensure her shots wouldn’t hit the wrong person by mistake, she’d wait. Her current focus was the shields. She’d held them for fights before, so she’d keep at it, with her energy and her concentration.
  63.
  64. [2016/08/01 12:15] :: "What the fuck?" One moment Rhys is having a slug match his a skeleton... Thing. The next moment he's... What even is this? A cloud? What! Rhys stops what he's doing to swat at his arms and shudder. It feels as if something's crawling beneath his skin while he's dunked in a pool and has tar poured on him. So it's basically as awkward and uncomfortable right now to be Rhys as it is to be a Smashmouth fan in this day and age any other day. He wildly swings at this point, hoping something he hits is an enemy. ::
  65.
  66. [2016/08/01 12:15] Misaki didn't even have time to react as one of the bastards exhaled a cloud of smoke and she ended up breathing it in, the thick substance coating her lungs and making her cough like a seasoned smoker. It sounded like the Yokai was gasping for air as her throat burned, yet she turned on the weakened acolyte anyway and swiped for him again, trying to shove her steel claws into the flesh of his back. Her discomfort would have to wait. [- 1 HP]
  67.
  68. [2016/08/01 12:17] The Artisan (ascilia.enoch) steels herself as the inky cloud rolls over her, focusing her Will to keep up the remaining six zombies' assault on the Disciple. They had him in their grip so she ignores the acolytes as they defend who was presumably their leader. She prepares another spell, scooping up the necessary reagents from what she had arranged around her. She didn't feel any ill-effect from the cloud but she suspected she was racing a clock. Purplish-black ectoplasm began to dribble from her lips as she murmurs an incantation. ((Spectral 1 1/2)) ((And rolling for the remaining zombies))
  69.
  70. [2016/08/01 12:17] DJ (djaf.dockal) misses her leap connecting with a zombie and she deflects away landing near Cimmy and turning snarling readying for a second leap when a darkness covers her , the she wolf snarls and shakes her head trying to get away from the strange thing that suddenly had her losing her strength , she knew she was being attacked but not by what and she snaps her teeth threw the darkness , kill it kill it , every fiber of her being knowing it was not right , not ok , not of her forest , she bumps into something and hopes its a enemy , she would move to try and sink her teeth into the back of the foot and try and take out its Achilles tendon forcing it down so she could get its throat a very wolf like move
  71.
  72. [2016/08/01 12:39] That Which Lurks In The Dark (Event): The Disciple erected after it'd vomited on the floor, still swarmed by hungry corpses who did not care whether their jaws clamped around rot to rival their own. The haze lessened while it loomed in silence, likely recharging from its last bout of spilled blood.
  73. One of the acolytes spilled on the floor like a sack of rotten eggs, leaving behind a black puddle that spread mold everywhere it touched. Letting out a soul-shaking howl, the remaining creature began to stab into the remainder of zombies, exacting its retaliation.
  74.
  75. [2016/08/01 12:42] Cimorene had tried the fight way, but it wasn't working out for her, paws were only meeting with air. She turned, nipping Dj roughly on her ear, <We go, bad, bad, we go,> the cat let out a mew and then set off through the forest, she was likely about to find a place to hide.
  76.
  77. [2016/08/01 12:45] DJ (djaf.dockal) feels her sisters nip and both shifters turn and bolt into the forest as fast as the furry legs can take them
  78.
  79. [2016/08/01 12:55] Olivya Glenwalker watched as the big cat broke away. Apparently enough was enough. Ollie dropped the shield away from it, as it no longer needed it. Nor did the wolf who also bolted. Ollie wasn’t about to quit the field yet, and moved in closer. She glanced over at the remaining Kitsune and Artisan, making sure the shields were strong around them. The shields also allowed her to see friend from foe. Speaking into her headset, she spoke quietly into it. “This is Olivya Glenwalker. I have a medical emergency. I have injured at the dark ritual site in the forest…” Taking aim on the remaining acolyte painting a laser on his forehead, before pulling the trigger once again, waiting for the kick from the pistol. (Extended bonus roll.)
  80.
  81. [2016/08/01 12:58] Misaki Was still hacking like a chain smoker, but she couldn't help but smile as her target hit the ground. With two acolytes down, Misaki reared her head towards the Disciple, claws at the ready as she pounced and raked those claws against the monster's chest. [- 1HP, 1 remaining]
  82.
  83. [2016/08/01 12:59] The Artisan (ascilia.enoch) doesn't mind the loss of two more of the zombies. The remaining undead under her command continued the assault as she completed her spell, spitting the last words of the incantation at the Disciple, glowing ectoplasm spraying from between her lips with each dissonant syllable. She didn't appear to notice Olivya or the shield as she stabs a hand in the direction of the Disciple, who was well out of her reach, clamped her hand into a fist and pulled, siphoning his energies away to use for herself, a spell that inflicted lethargy upon the target! ((Spectral 1 2/2: Energy Drain Complete!)) ((Rolling for the four zombies still active))
  84.
  85. [2016/08/01 13:05] That Which Lurks In The Dark (Event): The Disciple swept the surplus of reanimated corpses aside to bellow a screech that rammed as deep as bone, shaking to the depths of their gut. Cancerous fumes spat from its hollow sockets it swirled its hellish gaze from one person to the next of the remainder of the party. "Iä Rntýiglok cf'ayak'vulgtmm, vugtlagln vulgtmm!" it roared as it whipped out an awful dagger of its own. Its blackness rivalled the empty sky above. Centring its eyeless visage upon Olivya, it stampeded past the horde of zombies – even flinging aside one or two that stood in its way – just to get to her for one horrid plunge! (( Attacking once. ))
  86.
  87. [2016/08/01 13:13] Olivya Glenwalker blinked as her communicator went dead. She then just shook her hear as tall, dark, and scary refocused on her. “Damn…” This was going to hurt she thought. Probably a lot. Right before her wedding too. Then she steeled herself, as it was too late to run. And she needed to buy the others time precious time. A harsh whisper formed on her lips as she stepped into the approaching creature, meeting it half way. Putting the pistol up to (or even into) the empty eye socket she pulled the trigger on pistol, “fuck you.”
  88.
  89. [2016/08/01 13:15] Misaki grinned and flicked her claws clean now that the big guy was deader than dead. <"Well, that was a pain..."> Her clothes were a mess and the place stunk like mold, but the creepy monsters were gone and she'd come out relatively unscathed besides feeling gross and rather tired. <"This place gets weirder and weirder by the day...">
  90.
  91. [2016/08/01 13:15] The Artisan (ascilia.enoch) , her eyeless sockets crackling with necrotic power, continued to concentrate on her quarry. The zombies had fulfilled their role and bought her the time she needed. The Disciple had flung one of the horde into a tree, snapping its spine, when it broke free and the remaining three zombies pursued him with mindless determination. The Artisan used the energy she had siphoned to continue the drain, thrusting out her other hand, clamping the fingers together, and sapping the Disciple further, even as it topples over. Her guardian ghosts continued to search for other threats and remained close to her side and back. None in the front at the moment... no way in hell were they going to risk getting caught in the spells she was wielding.
  92.
  93. [2016/08/01 13:25] That Which Lurks In The Dark (Event): The Disciple collapsed in on itself the same way its predecessors had done; a heap of moldy black tar that stank to high heavens, leaving remnants of hellish energy for The Artisan to syphon and do with as she pleased. The paleblood moon darkened as if to lull into sleep, taking away the only source of light in the pitch-black sky even if everyone below remained visible had the sun shone.
  94. A moment to recline and unwind, however, never came. While the floor did not shook, did not tremble nor shift... it was suddenly gone from underneath their feet. The blackness had claimed all, leaving nothing but dominating emptiness beyond, emptiness that zipped past their shapes like they were falling deep beyond the core of the Earth. This darkness felt alive...
  95. Alive... until life continued like it had waited on everyone to awaken from their deep slumber. Yes, everyone had slumbered, a fact that must have left even hardened men clammy in sweat. A nightmare? A nightmare... but one shared by everyone who had dared venture the sacrilicious site.
  96. "...I thank you, mortal," a duality of voices – children, elders, men and women – whispered between one's ears. "The Dark thanks you..."
  97. Then, whatever presence it had been was gone, leaving behind an addling emptiness in its place that in its own felt alien and cold.
  98. [
  99. [2016/08/01 13:33] Misaki woke up screaming thanks to the creepy voice mentioning the Dark. The poor fox looked absolutely terrified, the poor girl standing up as quickly as she could and looking about. If she was an animal, she'd probably have her hackles raised. It was...just a dream, but it sure felt real...She was noping the fuck out now. Nopenopenope. (Post jumping, I know, but I need to get going. Cya later guys!)

  101. [2016/08/01 13:41] The Artisan (ascilia.enoch) released her spell as blindness once again took hold. There, at the end, rocketing through the blackness... that was disturbingly familiar. The realization that is had been a dream... not that what happened in a dream was somehow less dangerous. She knew that dreams could be exceedingly perilous. The experience had felt like her creator was messing with her again. But, for once, she thought it wasn't the case. She releases her necromantic hold on the corpses and all ten bodies sink back into the earth around the altar. The skeletal swordsman joined them a moment later. She began to gather up her reagents and gear.

  103. [2016/08/01 13:46] Olivya Glenwalker leaned up, and wiped the drool from her face. She glanced around and looked perplexed. Sitting up she wiped the grass from her face. “At least Im not waking up on the sacrifice table…” Ollie stood and stretched, before brushing herself off. Ollie thought for a moment and then slipped her pistol out and checked it. Popping the magazine, she realized she was missing a couple of bullets. “I thought it was too real. Glancing around, it seemed she might be the only one left except, “Artisan. Last time I saw you was at the Elemental Attack.” Ollie placed the pistol away, “I’m guessing you were part of the dream that wasn’t a dream? I know I shot two or three bullets.”

  105. [2016/08/01 13:53] The Artisan (ascilia.enoch) continues to pack up her necromantic implements, letting a couple of minutes pass before answering Olivya. "It was a dream alright," she rasps, slinging her satchel across her emaciated frame. "A waking dream. Master Dreamwalkers can pull others into them, in body as well as mind. Had you died there, we would have awoken to find you dead here." Unfortunately not speculation on the Artisan's part. She had worked with a master Dream Magician before and their power was... potent. "Look around for the bullets if you want, but I doubt you will find them."

  107. [2016/08/01 13:59] Olivya Glenwalker nods, “I see… I was afraid it worked like that I wasn’t expecting to walk into it like that. You did pretty good on the spells from what I saw.” Ollie looked back into the woods from which she came. “I think I’m going to head home and meditate on this. Heh, I couldn’t get a dream of being on Bali. I might have picked up some good gifts while I was there.” She smiled, “take care of yourself. I’ll catch you around later, I’m sure. This isn’t over yet. Not by a long shot, if my experience tells me right.” Ollie sighed and started to turn around to leave.

  109. [2016/08/01 14:04] The Artisan (ascilia.enoch) rasps softly as Olivya turns to leave. "It is never over." Threat after threat, crisis after crisis, Convergence was besieged by a steady stream of aggressors. "Watch your back out there. If you want to talk at all, I can usually be found in the cemetery." Damn full moon and the craziness that accompanied them. All she wanted was some answers that might have given them some insight on how to end the threat of the Dark. To be interrupted on the cusp, after she finally managed to summon a spirit of sufficient antiquity and will... to have it slip through her fingers... she was definitely not in a good mood.

  111. 2016/08/01 14:09] Olivya Glenwalker paused and glanced over her shoulder. “I was here before. In the Old City. I know Convergence’s track record well. And I can tell you some things. I’ve fought ‘The Dark’ before. It’s an old foe of mine, we know each other for some time now. I may be around to talk. You can also get in touch with me by phone. My flyers over pilot services are still up. No one bothered to take them down. The Sylvani know me too.”
