When using an amiibo, various items will appear on the ground, along with a single item in a chest. The items on the ground will always be generated from the Normal list, but 20% of the time you will ALSO be given items from the SmallHit list. Separately, the item in the chest will come 20% of the time from the GreatHit list, and the rest of the time from the BigHit list. GreatHit odds will be boosted to 100% if the last four times you scanned that individual amiibo all resulted in a BigHit.

For a BigHit or GreatHit (i.e. for a chest item), the item you receive depends partly on your current progress in the game. Getting the Paraglider upgrades you from the Normal list to the Parasail list, and beating a single Divine Beast upgrades you to the Remain list.

Like all other weapons in the game, the weapons here will be replaced by better weapons if you have made enough progress in the game. (e.g. you might see Royal weapons even when they're not on the list.)

Using multiple amiibo can cause the total number of drops to be less than usual, to avoid spawning too many actors.
