  5. >(a)Iyaaaaa!!!
  6. >How many times do you need me to tell you until she understands?! You brought another cat back! [My Cushion!!]
  7. >[Soaked]
  8. >I hate cats!
  9. >[2nd Battleship of the Fusou-class, Yamashiro]
  10. >[1st Heavy Cruiser of the Mogami Class, Mogami]
  11. >Even if you say it to me, I'm just as concerned....you should talk to her instead.
  12. >Mogami, you need to scold her too!
  13. >[1st Battleship of the Fusou-class, Fusou]
  14. >Well then, where is that Shigure?
  15. >She said she was going on a morning walk.
  16.
  17. >[2nd Destroyer of the Shiratsuyu-class, Shigure]
  18. >You're--...
  19. >I have a bad feeling about this....
  20. >It's always like this...they always show up on rainy days.
  21. >[Ahhh], Migraines? So Yamashiro has migraines.
  22. >That's not it!
  23. >It's Cats!
  24.
  25. >Today, I'm definitely
  26. >Going to get her to throw these out.
  27. >I'm sick of it! The Cats living here, the broken-down rooms, all of it! I just want to live with Onee-sama!
  28. >[Fukou da!]
  29. >Normally, sister ships and/or ship of the same type share a dorm together.
  30. >We shipgirls who were left out when the dorms were filled live together in this bungalow.
  31. >Although the Admiral mentioned that I had some kind of relation to these hosuemates of mine...
  32. >I don't know about that. We seem just like unrelated strangers.
  33. >Me too, I wish I could live together with the Heavy Cruisers...
  34. >Because while we have types, classes and names,
  35.
  36. >We have no memories of the past.
  37. >Everyone, it's almost time. Lessons are about to start.
  38. >If we could live in the dormitories near the Naval District, we'd have things a lot easier...what misfortune....
  39. >It's so far.
  40. >Could someone come and help me?
  41.
  42. >She picked up a girl this time?!
  43. >Everyone, get to classes. Let me deal with this.
  44. >But...
  45. >After we go, could you help me notify the Admiral and the infirmary? >I got it, I'll go and contact them.
  46. >What's her condition?
  47.
  48. >They said that she needs to lay down and get some rest for a while. >Also, I'd like us to take care of her until she's healed....
  49. >Ehh?! >If she's on the Naval District Grounds, she must be a shipgirl, right? If that's so, just put her in the docks! Why put her in this tiny house?
  50. >....is it not okay?
  51. >Aw Fug, it's that expression again!
  52. >How can I say something like "No it's too much work" to a face like that?! [ohohoho] >You said it thoguh.
  53. >It's fine. We must help each other in times of need, right~
  54. >Michishio....is her condition that bad?
  55.
  56. >Michishio? Fusou knows her name?
  57. >Ah....mm. I had a fleet exercise with her before.
  58. >Hey, Fusou, I'll deal with everything related to taking care of her. >Can we really not let Michishio stay here?
  59. >Just do what you think is right.
  60. >If something goes wrong, you can talk to us.
  61. >Even though Fusou said that...perhaps it's better not to say it.
  62. >According to the Doctor, Michishio's wounds
  63. >Are not combat injuries.
  64.
  65. >Hey
  66. >Who was it that let you get hurt like that?
  67. >If there's something that makes you afraid
  68. >I'll protect you.
  69.
  70. >This is....
  71. >[Owwwwwww....]
  72. >Are you awake?
  73. >Don't worry, you're in a safe place.
  74. >You can't! If you don't stay in bed--
  75.
  76. >Stay away from me!!
  77. >[Flinch]
  78. >Ah, that's the living room...
  79. >Oh, that's good! You're awake now!
  80. >G...good morning...
  81.
  82. >[KABLAM]
  83. >This...
  84. >Aww hell naw, the fuck was that? We just saved yo life, don't give me no attitude--
  85. >Did she get scared because she saw unfamiliar ships?
  86. >It's the middle of the night....and I said good morning....
  87. >Are you alright...?
  88. >Don't force yourself
  89. >Your face is really white
  90. >If I don't get out of here fast...
  91.
  92. >Michishio!
  93. >[I'm scared...]
  94. > [I....If I don't get away from here fast....]
  95. >She sure brought in a load of trouble this time around.
  96. >I just rubbed shoulders in the hall and this girl be like looking at me all scary-like and shit
  97. >That girl's a little strange.
  98. >I mean sure, Shigure made it sound nice
  99. >But aren't we cleaning that girl's shit up too? [So annoying!]
  100.
  101. >Did you know? Apparently there's actually one vacancy in the Battleship dorm, a single. >But I
  102. >Want to live with Onee-sama!
  103. >Apparently the other dorms have bunk beds.
  104. >Eh!
  105. >Bunk beds, huh....if I get a good roomate, I'd love to have something like that!
  106. >Fufu....I hope a vacancy comes out for you soon too.
  107. >[Onee-sama, she....Onee-sama....]
  108. >So noisy! I can hear everything!
  109. >Nyaaa--
  110. >[Pet]
  111.
  112. >Cats...do you like them?
  113. >I....don't really like them.
  114. >Really? Then you might go well with Yamashiro. She's the onee-san in traditional clothing and short hair.
  115. >[Haaaah?! What's that supposed to mean?!]
  116. >I lied! Actually I love cats.
  117. >Then you're just like Fusou and I! Fusou is Yamashiro's older sister.
  118. >I don't like them and I don't hate them!
  119. >Anything's fine! >Then you should get along fine with Mogami.
  120. >[The Boyish one, that's Mogami.]
  121. >She doesn't seem that interested in cats.
  122. >Have you remembered everyone's names!
  123. >I'm Shigure, a destroyer just like you! Pleased to meet you!
  124.
  125. >Don't patronize me just because you helped me out.
  126. >I don't plan on getting along with you guys.
  127. >I forgot already! Your names and all, I've already forgotten them!
  128. >Onee-sama!
  129. >Sooner or later, we'll move into the Battleship dorms too, so we should get to know the other battleships!
  130. >Dorms?
  131. >Yes....now is a good time to chat up and get close to those we haven't spoken much with before.
  132. >Is there anyone whow ould sit with us?
  133. >FUsou--Yamashiro--let's eat together!
  134. >[Look, an invitation!]
  135.
  136. >Ehhhh
  137. >What a coincidence, we're all eating Udon--!
  138. >Mm, they have fried shrimp over there....
  139. >Why do you guys always come talkign to us!
  140. >We're all battleships, we should be friends~
  141. >I don't know why, but with you two, I am overwhelmed by a sense of kinship.
  142. >So could you spare a bit of your fried shrimp for my vegetarian Udon?
  143. >Fuck off!
  144. >Have you made friends in the Naval District, Shigure?
  145. >Mm!
  146. >I get along really well with my sister ships!
  147. >Really...that's good.
  148.
  149. >For some reason, I can never find my sister ships....[Me so ronery]
  150. >[sigh....]
  151. >[Why]
  152. >Good morning
  153. >Shigure-nee!
  154. >That's Suzukaze, one of my sisters. I'm going to head over.
  155. >Mm.
  156. >I heard that Michishio is not at Shigure-nee's. Is that true?
  157. >Mm...although she's still hurt, it seems like she can now move around now.
  158. >The one who let Michishio get hurt
  159. >might have been me....
  160. >I was assigned as a roomate to Michishio....
  161. >You're my roomate?
  162.
  163. >I'm Suzukaze, I'll be in your care!
  164. >Michishio stayed quiet....
  165. >And then, suddenly
  166. >she jumped out the window and ran off.
  167. >She should have sustained wounds from her landing, but just like that....
  168. >I was just saying hi....what did I do wrong?
  169. >Don't worry about it, it's not Suzukaze's fault.
  170.
  171. >It seems like Michishio was roomates with her sister ships before dormign with me. >There, too, she opted to run away instead of living there.
  172. >Why, Michishio...?
  173. >So the one who hurt her was herself....
  174. >Why would she jump like that...?
  175. >Eh?
  176. >Michishio! Why are you here?
  177. >What, can I not go outside?
  178. >No! Your wounds...
  179. >I'm just going to borrow a book at the library.
  180. >My body's going to waste away if I lay down all day.
  181. >If you want a book I could lend you one....
  182. >I don't want to read books you choose!
  183. >I'm still worried. I'll escort you back afterwards. Once you've borrowed your book, just come back here. I'll wait for you.
  184.
  185. >I don't even get along with you, why would I go back with you?
  186. >I guess I'll go waste some time before she leaves....
  187. >[Snooze...]
  188. >tap tap
  189. >It's 1730, the library's closing. (note: what kind of library closes at 5:30?)
  190. >Sorry...
  191. >I want to borrow a book. Uhh--....this one, and this one, and...
  192. >Are you sure you want to borrow this one?
  193. >Well then....write down your name on the borrowing list.
  194. >[The Nishimura Fleet Tragedy]
  195. >Well at any rate, it's about time I head back.
  196. >[Hmhm]
  197.
  198. >Paff
  199. >You were here the whole time?
  200. >Ahhh....that's good....
  201. >You didn't come out, so I was starting to think you went off somewhere else.
  202. >Don't you have training and that sort of thing in the afternoon?
  203. >Yeah....but my promise to you was more important.
  204. >You'll get scolded by the Admiral! And you'll have to write a letter of repentance!
  205. >They're all minor issues.
  206. >As long as you come back.
  207. >Please
  208. >Don't disappear like that again...
  209.
  210. >Are you tailing me?
  211. >I'm not! >You heard the stories too, didn't you?
  212. >Don't worry, I don't get off on self-harm.
  213. I wasn't jumping off a building, it was an accident! Just an accident.
  214. >[THat's right...it was an accident.]
  215. >[At that time]
  216. >[I had no choice.]
  217. >I'm Suzukaze, please take care of me!
  218. >Because that hand that reached out to me scared me.
  219. >Ahhh-ahhh, that girl is way too annoying, I guess I won't go to the naval district from now on.
  220. >I guess I'll read and kill some time....
  221.
  222. >What is going on here.....
  223. >[The only one to survive this is....]
  224. >I'm back.
  225. >Michishio.....
  226. >Is she at the library again? She sure likes her books....
  227. >What are you reading....?
  228. >It's fake! They're all lies!
  229. >[pant]x2
  230. >There should be at least one book with the truth!
  231.
  232. >Welcome back
  233. >Michishio
  234. >[The Nishimura Fleet]
  235. >That book.....
  236. >You don't mean....you haven't read......?
  237. >....I, too, like books, so I was pretty interested in this book.
  238. >Why did you read it on your own?
  239. >T....that's not it!
  240. >They're all lies!
  241. >The other books can tell you....
  242. >I remember now.
  243. >Why I
  244.
  245. >Would forget something this important.....
  246. >It's not like that---
  247. >So noisy! If you're going to argue, do it outside!
  248. >Oww fuck
  249. >[Bump]
  250. >[Cla][ter]
  251. >Shigure
  252. >Really! What's her problem?
  253.
  254. >I refuse to believe this!
  255. >How....the only survivor, who lasted until the end
  256. >being Shigure, this kind of thing.....
  257. >Really....so Shigure found out, huh.
  258. >[Eh?]
  259. >Did Onee-sama already know?
  260. >Ah....yes, everything.
  261. >My memories quickly returned after assumign duty. So I went and read up on the war's end.....
  262. >There are quite a few records regarding what happened in this era.
  263. >Whether I told someone or they remembered, it was just a matter of time. Although I also wanted to tell everyone early....
  264. >Sorry.....
  265. >I....couldn't get it out of my mouth.
  266.
  267. >Especially to Shigure.
  268. >I thought that the one who would wish to keep those memories sealed the most would be that girl....
  269. >Michishio, Onee-sama is still speaking!
  270. >It's all my fault....if I hadn't borrowed that book.....
  271. >I should have let Shigure decide whether she wanted to know on her own!
  272. >If I hadn't come here...!
  273.
  274. >Onee-sama....
  275. >You hoped that Shigure wuoldn't remember?
  276. >Ehhh....it's exactly as you said. It may have been better if she never heard.
  277. >Eh?
  278. >But isn't Shigure....
  279. >the one who, more than anyone else, doesn't want to forget these things?
  280. >I just got a call.
  281. >Shigure....I heard that she'd be spending the night at her sister ships' dorm.
  282. >Perhaps that is best.
  283. >It will take time for to come to terms with one's emotions.
  284. >WHether they be Shigure's
  285. >or ours'.
  286.
  287. >Nyaa--
  288. >Oy, we're out of catnip.
  289. >Eh?
  290. >Eh?
  291. >Our stockpile should be over here....
  292. >Before it was all shigure--....
  293. >[rummage]
  294. >Hurry up and find it!
  295. >Someone like you won't be able to find it!
  296. >Someone who isn't interested in cats.
  297. >Who said that---
  298. >look, here it is.
  299. >Shigure said that before.
  300.
  301. >This house
  302. >at the beginning, it was just Shigure.
  303. >And then I came.
  304. >I have to live with a destroyer shipgirl....? That was what I was thinking.
  305. >I was a little crestfallen.
  306. >But upon my arrival, Shigure very happily welcomed me.
  307. >Thining back, at that time Shigure must have been really lonely....
  308. >I'm sorry....
  309. >If only I had noticed a little earlier.
  310. >If Shigure comes back, I, too, don't want to run away from the past.
  311. >I want to talk to each other more about our lives.
  312. >I'm really happy, because there's "meaning" to us all living here.
  313.
  314. >Hmph, what "meaning?"
  315. >After all, Shigure isn't here anymore.
  316. >Once I'm healed, I'll be leaving too!
  317. >Why...?
  318. >Deciding to leave on your own, that kind of thing
  319. >I will not allow it!
  320. >Being stuck with you little twerps, I've been sick of it for long enough! I've been enduring it this whole time!
  321. >That's why--!
  322. >Didn't i say I was leaving?
  323. >Ahhh, you doing that would be a great relief. To me, that is.
  324. >But
  325. >Onee-sama is not like that.
  326.
  327. >Onee-sama's decision to hide the truth from us was probably in order to protect the "present".
  328. >But it's also because she's afraid everyone will separate.
  329. >The present Onee-sama wants to protect....this, here and now....
  330. >I will protect it.
  331. >Shigure too, how long she gon be cryin' out there? We're not mad, so get the fuck back here.
  332. >She's already mad....
  333. >Even if she don't want to, I'll truss her up and yank her back here!
  334. >Go and reflect a little
  335. >on Shigure's feelings.
  336. >["Don't disappear like that again"]
  337. >[You clearly said that]
  338.
  339. >The one who disappeared
  340. >Isn't it you...?
  341. >I can't be with Shigure today either, poi?!
  342. >[It's still not okay--?!]
  343. >Shhhh--
  344. >Destroyer Michishio
  345.
  346. >While under repairs, she lost her sister ships.
  347. >And after that,
  348. >she also lost her partner ship (note: 僚艦= ship from the same fleet/division)
  349. >If our attitudes and actions
  350. >reflect our past associations
  351. >then the reason you ran away on that day was--
  352. >What is there I can do for you...
  353.
  354. >Oy
  355. >Is Shigure not here today?
  356. >Eh....ah, mmm
  357. >Probably...she's at Shiratsuyu-nee's...
  358. >Man she gave me a fright--....
  359. >I have something I want to tell her.
  360. >Everyone's angry! Whether it's housekeeping or taking care of the cat, nobody's doing anything!
  361. >You disappearing has been nothing been trouble for us!
  362. >Couldn't you put it more nicely....?
  363. >[But]
  364. >[They probably want you to return.]
  365. >Alright, I'll convey that to her.
  366.
  367. >Ah, by the way....umm--....how are you doing?
  368. >[Haha....]
  369. >Does this look like I'm fine to you?
  370. >Uhh....well, you are still a little hurt. Mm.
  371. >But I'm glad--compared to before, you seem a lot better off.
  372. >...Sorry
  373. >Eh
  374. >Thank you!
  375.
  376. >That's Shiratsuyu-nee and......
  377. >Ahh, you guys are here.
  378. >Just in time, I have something to discuss with Shigure-nee....
  379. >Deployment Order
  380. >[Deployment Order--based around Fusou, Yamashiro, Mogami and Shigure, deploy the Nishimura fleet and destroy the enemy fleet deployed at the Orel Sea.]
  381. >A fleet made of Fusou, Yamashiro, Mogami and Shigure.....
  382. >Michishio's name isn't there!
  383.
  384. >Shigure....if you don't want to do this assignment
  385. >You should go and tell the Admiral.....
  386. >Probably on account of Michishio's condition....but if she's the only one not deploying
  387. >She won't be very happy....
  388. >I'm clearly unhurt, I've just been acting on my whims.
  389. >When I talked with Yamashiro about owning a cat, I promised to take care of everything no my own....I haven't kept my promise.
  390. >In that house, laundry and cleaning is done in turns.
  391. >And yet, I...
  392. >Have brought a lot of trouble for everyone.
  393.
  394. >Can someone like me
  395. >Be with everyone?
  396. >That kind of thing definitely isn't a problem!!
  397. >[Mm!!]
  398. >Everyone's waiting for you!
  399. >Thanks
  400.
  401. >[Shigure]
  402. >{Heading out!]
  403. >Shigure's finally back
  404.
  405. >This time around it's Michishio's turn not to show up.
  406. >It seems like she's undergoing a final examination to see whether she's fit to deploy....but she's really taking her time.
  407. >[pat]
  408. >It'll be fine, Michishio will definitely come.
  409. >Mmm....
  410. >An inspection like this really shouldn't take so long! When I could clearly sortie at any time!
  411. >Just my luck, for this kind of thing to happen at such an important time...
  412.
  413. >[Sigh---~]
  414. >So
  415. >Why are you guys here?!
  416. >[Go home!]
  417. >What's wrong? After all, the maximum fleet size is six ships.
  418. >I'm worried about you guys, so i'm coming too!
  419. >Hyuuga, it looks like this won't be our chance to shine.
  420.
  421. >Hold on!!
  422. >[Pant] x2
  423. >Were you planning on leaving me behind too?
  424. >Originally, I didn't want to be friends or comrades or anything ilke that.
  425. >If you were going to leave me behind and disappear, then why be there from the beginning? I could fight alone. That's what I thought--
  426.
  427. >You picked me up and brign me home, give me somewhere to live and comrades
  428. >and then run off and with that wounded like on your face
  429. >If you're going to extend your hand to help me, then--do so all the way until the end!!
  430. >I won't run away anymore.
  431.
  432. >With you
  433. >and everyone else
  434. >I'll fight until the end!
  435.
  436. >Nishimura Fleet
  437. >Sortieing!
  438.
  439. >[Postface]
  440. >[Hi everyone I'm Takitaro. "It's almost time to release it this summer" was what I thought, and yet it has become a winter Nishimura Fleet Doujin. The first time I encountered the members of the Nishimura Fleet was when I was first experiencing Kancolle, but that time has long since past. Shigure is a very common destroyer, so she came very early. After that was Mogami, and I met the Fusou sisters around when I was chalelnging 2-2. I didn't train a Michishio, so she wasn't in the fleet. The remaining members of the fleet were not actually filled by the Ise-class (wwww) but a well-trained Nagato. Not long after that, I started to feel bad for leaving Michishio behind, and so I wanted to draw my ideal of the "Nishimura Fleet deploys!" out.]

But this time around I didn't want to rely on historical events and relationships, but instead wanted to tell a story within the game where the maturing and growing shipgirls come to get to know each other and reach a deeper understanding, and so I set a premise where the shipgirls lacked their past memories. This setting, combined with the serious nature and long page count has made me a little uneasy (moreover, there weren't any light-hearted BBVs....although there was a little). If you enjoyed it, I will be happy. Yamashiro and Michishio's relationship seems very bad, from here on out how will things change when Asagumo is added to the mix? Well then, bye!]
