  1. "documentation can be provided upon request", he doesn't think mental health issues will be a hard sell. Seperation, lack of structure, increased anxiety. They may ask for clarification and follow up, but not likely. Make it clear that what I want is reinstatement. Be thorough, but they probably aren't asking for a dissertation. Mention that you're registered with North as having a disability. Not having the ability to actually talk to my professor one on one, and not having the structure of having to actually go to class.

  3. There was a significant amount of disturbance to my schedule and ability to see people with the virus going on, which ended up affecting me a lot more than I expected. It should be well on record at North Seattle College that I unfortunately have a few mental disabilities such as anxiety, depression, and NVLD that make college much more difficult, and documentation related to this can be provided if necessary. Normally without the current state of affairs I have contact with a few people who can take the edge off. Since the pandemic however travel has been much harder, and this hasn't been as possible. And a lack of some of my coping mechanisms related to that, a lack of structure because of the halt in social activities and the classes now being entirely online, an inability to actually meet with and talk face to face with my professors, along with general stress from the outbreak, and a general sudden increase in my depression and anxiety made my life much harder, and my ability to focus on class and my assignments much worse, which lead to me failing the class. In total I feel like the cascade of problems set back about a whole year worth of personal progress, which made it all but impossible to focus on my studies.

  5. The time between quarters, along with the tail end of the last one, has provided me some time to get my feet back under me. I have somewhat squared the travel situation and am in more regular contact with people who can ground me, and have taken steps to prevent such a catastrophic failure again, both personally within myself and professionally by getting back in contact with my psychologist. I am of course still suffering from the aforementioned disabilities, but I am confident that I can now return to my studies at more or less the same level as before.
