Yarne: Oh, the usual! Checking her for any sign of wing weakness, making sure all her hooves are properly shoed, that kind of thing!
Cordelia: That’s very considerate of you, Yarne.
Cordelia: [smile] I didn’t pick you for a horseman.
Yarne: I’m nothing of the sort! Way too many accidents occur on horseback.
Yarne: I just figure that if you absolutely have to ride this thing, you may as well be safe.
Cordelia: [confused] …Thank you?
Yarne: One in six pegasus knights fall from their mounts at some point! I’m not letting my mother become a statistic!
Cordelia: [sweat] Well, I’d think that would more stem from being shot down than any fault with the pegasus, but…
Yarne: …do you really HAVE to put your life in this thing’s hands?
Cordelia: [frown] ‘This thing’ has a name, Yarne.

Cordelia: And you’re not exactly endearing yourself to her.
Yarne: [frown] Well, I’m not endeared to her, either.
Yarne: As if normal horses aren’t dangerous enough, she had to go and grow wings.
[pegasus SFX]
Cordelia: [sweat] Yarne, I think we should probably continue this somewhere else.
Yarne: It’s fine, I was just about to head off and check the tack anyway.
Yarne: [frown] I’ve got my eye on you, pegasus.
[Yarne leaves]

Yarne: Mother! I’ve got something for you!
Cordelia: [smile] Good morning, Yarne. What-
Cordelia: [confsued] …What?
Yarne: These are crash pads. They’ll cushion your bones from impact.
Yarne: This helmet is specially forged to absorb shock without making your ears ring.
Yarne: If you insist on fighting, I can’t stop you! But I can at least make sure you’re safe!
Cordelia: [confused] …Have I done something to make you think I’m in danger?
Yarne: No, but accidents happen!
Yarne: If you die, I’ll never be born! And then where will the taguel be?
Cordelia: [frown] …I see. Try having some faith in me.
Yarne: It’s not you I don’t have faith in, it’s Aurora!
Cordelia: I suppose I should be pleased you’re at least using her name.
Yarne: I’ve seen how high you two soar! If you fell, you’d die!
Yarne: How can I trust both our lives in the hands of- of something that doesn’t even have hands?!
Cordelia: We’ve done quite well so far.
Cordelia: [eyes closed] Listen, Yarne, I know you mean well. (I think.) But this armour of yours will slow Aurora down and make me a target.
Cordelia: I’d rather you focus on protecting yourself than fretting about me.
Yarne: But-
Cordelia: [frown, closed eyes] Do you think me incompetent? Truly?
Yarne: No! Growing up, I always heard you were the best pegasus knight Ylisse had ever seen – and I’d believe it!
Yarne: It’s incredible watching  you flit around in the sky knocking down enemies left and right.
Yarne: [sad] But- you’re my mother, and… I’m worried about you.
Cordelia: [smile] …Thank you, Yarne.
Cordelia: I know what might set your heart at rest. Am I right in guessing you haven’t seen pegasus knights training before?
Yarne: No, I haven’t.
Cordelia: Sumia and I are tutoring a group of new recruits next week.
Cordelia: [smile] Come along. Please. I think you’ll find it instructive.
Yarne: [unsure] If you say so, Mother…
