  1. The Yoko-verse
  2.
  3. - The Beatles and all references to them - Yoko Ono, the origin of Yokos being associated with music
  4. - Teddyboy Blues - Yoko Ishino
  5. - UFO Senshi Yohko-chan - Yoko Minamino, who also has some resemblance to Yoko Ishino
  6. - A bunch of KOEI games and a lot of anime - Yoko Kanno, via the mysterious idol singer Gabriela Robin
  7. - Valis series - Yuko Ahso, fictional character, looks a lot like UFO Senshi Yohko-chan
  8. - Psycho Soldiers - Athena comes out of a UFO, and is an idol singer, and the game itself is a platformer-shooter. Sounds an awful lot like UFO Senshi Yohko-chan. A lot of the stuff in this game never came up again in the KOF series.
  9. - Dynamite Dux - Lucy, the damsel-in-distress, is a clone of Athena. This game also contains Bravoo Man as the midboss of stage 3, thus making it part of the Bravoo Man verse. SonicFox appears as a normal enemy, making it part of the SonicFox verse too.
  10. - Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer - Shaia is an alien disguised as a pop idol, has long blue hair, and uses a gun, much like UFO Senshi Yohko-chan. She also starts her rounds as a schoolgirl and then transforms into a more magical costume, like Athena.
  11. - Yu Yu Hakusho - Kurama Yoko, his hairstyle matches that of Yoko Minamino
  12. - Gurren Lagann - Yoko Littner, uses a very big gun, a sort of evolution of UFO Senshi Yohko-chan's gun.
