- Her fist, clutching the ball tight, cocked back, while her other hand guided the shot. She paused for a moment, checking her calculations. Then, with a whip of movement, she let it fly.
- The tiny metal sphere shot across the width of the river without slowing. It slammed itself square into the side of the monster, who had just enough time to register what hit it, when it was turned into pure light and sucked into the ball.
- Samus’s eyebrows lifted. That was one way to do it, she supposed.
- It wobbled on the ground, once, twice.
- The ball exploded. It rocketed back towards Leaf, fast enough that she had to duck to avoid losing her head (Samus reached out a hand and caught it), and the monster reappeared with a roar. It had certainly noticed them now. And now, it was pissed.
