Vivendi wanted to talk.
He said it was just a personal talk between us and that it was urgent. This has better be good.
Vivendi, why I haven't heard from the man since his takeover from Gameloft. This should be fun.
When Vivendi arrived, I wasn't surprised he had looked the same for the pass few years. He looked like he hasn't aged a bit and people do say he's at least in his 160s, well he didn't age like it.
We sat down and he told me.
"Its been a while, Monsieur Hasbro." I forgot how thick his French accent was and how the room got cold when he spoke.
"Yes it has. So, what was so important that you needed to speak to me personally about?" He paused for a moment and looked off to to the side then back to me.
"..It's about Madame Hub."
My mind had stopped as I tried to process that name again.
Hub.
My ex wife.
Something I thought I had forgotten about that name a few years ago but the memories flooded back about her.
"What about..her, Vivendi?"
I couldn't even say her name.
"Well, she visited Mon petite fille, Syfy. Then I had met her again. She told me somethings about you, Hasbro, your wife also then she told me some haunting things. She says can't rest peacefully." He stops again. Looking behind him, nodding his head as if he was talking to someone and turned back to me. "She tells me how that it's your fault for that reason. You are not letting her rest."
"What makes you think I'm the reason?"
"Because you murdered her with your wife and made it look like a suicide. You only killed her since you didn't want to divorce her lose half of your company to her. Losing money since that's all you ever care about, but you also cared about your.. Goddamed prized wanton toy of a wife!"
"..Who told you all of this, how did you find out about this?"
"Your ex-wife."
"Why did she go to you for help?"
"Because I'm the only one she last trusts."
"Why you? Out of all the people she could have haunted and asked help from , why you?"
He raised his voice and his accent got thicker.
"Because I cared for her when YOU didn't. I had loved her before Hasbro, when she was married to you. She talked like a happily married wife and always told me about you, she even told me her doubts about you. The day that she passed away it broke my heart, I was shattered. Now that I am able to talk to her again beyond the grave, I am no longer heartbroken again."
I mentally rolled my eyes, scoffed.
Like I cared about my ex-wife. Why need her when I have my ideal wife, at least she doesn't drag down on money problems unlike Hub did.
"So you possibly banged my dead ex-wife, why should that matter to me?"
"You may not care about her but I do have something you do care about more then her, Monsieur Hasbro.
Your money.
You do know that I own her now, right? It doesn't take long to rebrand her and get her up and alive."
He's bluffing, right?
"You can't do that, Vivendi and you know it."
"Can't I? I know very powerful people that can help me with this, powerful than you. If I had took over Ubisoft and Gameloft by myself, what makes you think I can't do this?"
He's joking with me, right?
Right?
"She belongs with me now Hasbro. I own her so you can say goodbye to your precious money."
This..
"You filthy rotten french bastard."
The next thing I knew, the room turned upside down.
Broken windows, thrown chairs, tables were flipped and lots of shattered glass on the carpet. But everything stopped when I heard a haunting voice say,
"That's enough, Vivendi."
I saw her again, the woman I had married and murdered. She had her hand on the shoulder of the furious Frenchman as he calmed down.
"This discussion got a little out of hand." She smiled at him. Her smile. I remember that smile on our wedding day which was the last time I had seen her happy with me. "Its best if we go, Vivendi." He had nodded and he said to me, "I'm glad we've had this little chat but we should take our leave. Au Revoir, Monsieur Hasbro."
That's when Vivendi left with my ex-wife by his side.
I sat there, questioning the events I just witnessed, that's when Discovery Family came into the room and asked if I was alright. I had told her "yes" because Vivendi doesn't have the guts to take me down.
