  1.
  2. [13:24] Seeing her eldest emerge into the square, she planted a firm palm upon his head, lightly gripping him by the top of his head. "Balam. What have you done today, hm..?" She was always hounding her children, Ookami pun aside.
  3.
  4. They had no idea what it was like for her as a child, she had been born the very same year the Pandemonium Chase occurred.. perhaps the reason she was marked so favorably by the Black Wolf. "I hope you've been productive."
  5. (D'noxa Aba)
  6. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  7.
  8. [13:26] Theia just hovered over the bench silently, not wanting to be rude and intrude their conversation. She seemed to be carrying a five years old Kitsune daughter, poking her nose and kissed her cheeks.
  9.
  10. Her daughter was definitely the most important thing in the world.
  11. (Theia)
  12. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  13.
  14. [13:29] The palm that laid on his hand was ridged and hardened by the many years of combat and no doubt bared a wait heavy on the Childs head. Even if he couldn't fully understand it all he heard the stories throughout his upbringing.
  15.
  16. His mother always was more intense with him there was always something he felt was to be expected of him after all she was the head shaman. A glance to the side as he tried to recall - or make up, Activities he'd been doing throughout the day. "Er...well I helped some Tribesmen carry water from the rivers....And I uh...Did some practicing with my air magic Although I'm not quite that good....And uhhh…" He paused for a moment trying to decipher if any of this was actually worth explaining.
  17.
  18. "But mostly I've been giving myself to the spirits I feel there is still a lot I don't know about them..." He was more so interested in what his mother could teach him. After all she was the Head Shaman yet her position often didn't lend enough time for him to be coddled as a child.
  19. (Balam Aba)
  20. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  21.
  22. [13:29] * You have been awarded 20 Roleplay Points! *
  23. [13:38] She was refraining from smiling down at him, all of her years of work for the Tribes went to ensuring he and his sibling even had a future to be born into. Her own children, and the children of others. Yet despite this, many called her a savage, some even called her a monster. "I see."
  24.
  25. Though she would answer the question he didn't necessarily ask. "There is a lot you don't know about them. I've been studying them my entire life, and I still don't know everything." She gently taps one of her canine ears. "That is why I, and we, must always listen to them."
  26.
  27. "Everyone's connection to them can be different, but it all stems from the roots of the same tree. Understanding." Offering his head a squeeze, she lets go. Gently rubbing behind one of his ears in an affectionate gesture before returning her arm to her side.
  28.
  29. "That being said.. I want you to take time and meditate alone, and just try to listen."
  30. (D'noxa Aba)
  31. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  32.
  33. [13:47] There were still things yet undiscovered and while usually it was hard to get the boy to do any chores or tasks when it came to his studies into the spirits he always seemed to have an interest in them.
  34.
  35. The tender gesture against his ears made him smile he was still young after all despite in a few years he'd be seen as an adult. A warrior amongst the tribes. "I'll do everything I can mother, Will you teach me the Spirit Dance one day? I want to become a Shaman recognized by the spirits and the people just like you achieved..."
  36.
  37. The winds blow gently against his fur, He could always sense them since he was young. Around the Age of six or so he would begin to at the very least awaken to the presence of the spirits around him. And now every so often he would catch a glimpse of a wisp or shadow moving passed him.
  38.
  39. "Is there any place you'd recommend me to meditate?" He was fine spending the time alone to practice and harness his skills his Air magic could've used a bit more refinement as well.
  40. (Balam Aba)
  41. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  42.
  43. [13:52] What would be amusing is when in some years he was an adult, and she still toyed with his ears. It would be lovely. "I will teach you if you earn it like anyone else has to. My own mother wouldn't teach me until I proved I was more worthy than any of the other potential students."
  44.
  45. "It's not a practice to teach out lightly, I used it to single-handedly bind a child of Saekanis turned Wraith.. not just in general, but into my own essence." Something Balam could perhaps remember form his younger years, when the red tattoos covered her flesh.. until she put it's essence into the Guardian.
  46.
  47. "Find somewhere quiet, but where you can feel the world around you."
  48. (D'noxa Aba)
  49. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  50.
  51. [14:01] His tail stood up stiff when he heard that his mother had bound a Child of Saekanis that was once a Wraith. Those weren't the kinds of feats you heard of every day. Spirit dancing was far more potent than he could imagine and it seemed him learning it would require a multitude of trials of not only his mothers hands but the spirits themselves.
  52.
  53. It was hard to come up with a response that would confidently express his desires. Even he doubted that he had the natural talent or ability yet he knew deep in his own spirit it was what he yearned for. To be just like his mother and father who aided the Tribe with their blood and spirit. Despite how others chose to admonish them.
  54.
  55. "Then I will earn it." Was the response he fell upon the words held back by a slight hesitation yet when they were projected out to his mother and the Square they seemed to be braver than he even intended.
  56.
  57. "I'll find somewhere I can hear the wind. I suppose that would be best for me." His words trailed off as a sudden rush of embarrassment flooded him. Yet it quickly faded in his youth he still lacked the confidence to become what he desired.
  58.
  59. Yet perhaps along the way of his life he'd find the resolve to truly embrace it. "If there's anything I can do to help you in your rituals or your daily routine please feel free to rely on me." He was growing up with that he'd want to take on more responsibility beyond babysitting his younger sibling.
  60. (Balam Aba)
  61. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  62.
  63. [14:04] Nodding softly, she would leave him to do as he wished. "If there's something you can participate in, I'll be sure to bring you." Though she did have another idea in mind.
  64.
  65. Gesturing to the daydreaming Motai, she speaks once more. "When he wakes and you aren't busy, speak with him, introduce yourself. You should learn more of being a warrior from him. He's closer to your age."
  66. (D'noxa Aba)
  67. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  68.
  69. [14:07] There were a couple things he wanted to explore but as he was now he knew it wouldn't be worth it to ask her to bring him along especially if he could barely fend for himself. "Yes mother." He said with a hard slam of his chest although a bit too hard still unable to regulate the strength of a growing Ookami Magi.
  70.
  71. He let out a gasp of air recovering from his self inflicted gesture before looking towards Motai taking his appearance into account before reflecting. "I'll do that then when he wakes."
  72.
  73. It was only a matter of time before he became well known and there was no reason to be shy considering his mother held much sway within the Tribelands.
  74. (Balam Aba)
  75. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  76.
  77. [14:13] She shook her head softly when he whacked his chest too hard.. one day he'll get it all figured out. It would just take time, and passing through those awkward teenage years. "Good, you could learn a lot from him."
  78.
  79. "Until then, you're free to do as you wish.. just even if things are quiet I wouldn't recommend leaving the Tribelands. It's too dangerous, until you can better defend yourself."
  80. (D'noxa Aba)
  81. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  82.
  83. [14:19] There was a part of him that was eager to explore, Having lived his life mostly in the Tribelands and yet he knew of the wars and countless dangers that awaited him although not in much detail. Obviously the elders kept some parts regarding politics out of the children's hands but he assumed it was about time he paid closer attention.
  84.
  85. "I won't. Not until I can call myself a warrior." He'd not aim to make the same mistake of slamming his fist against his chest instead he'd look towards his would be teacher to see if they'd stirred from their nap.
  86.
  87. Glancing towards Motai with the inspired look of a child gazing upon a full fledge warrior of the tribe. He'd not seen many beyond his father and mother. And some odd relatives.
  88.
  89. "I suppose until he awakens I'll meditate and work on my magic." It was the best he could muster for the moment.
  90. (Balam Aba)
  91. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  92.
  93. [14:20] Nym exclaims, "Goodmorning D'noxa!"
  94. [14:21] D'noxa Aba says, "Good morning."
  95. [14:23] Nym asks, "How are you?"
  96. [14:23] D'noxa Aba asks, "I am well overall, yourself?"
  97. [14:24] A broad and loud yawn came out from behind the central pillar of their square, "Weeellll!" Joints already could be heard popping all across his body with every movement, one hand moving to scratch the back of his head.
  98.
  99. "Time to wake up and start the day!" Casually he spoke to everyone and nobody at the same time, all the way until his eyes settled onto D'noxa, "Oh hey there D'noxa! You're still bringing me to the summit, right? Pretty sure I proved my patience from the incident before..."
  100.
  101. A paus was placed at the end of his words, a small tilt of the head being given to his own statement, "Sorta kinda? I'd like to think so at least." By now he'd noticed Balam, and a happy little wave was tossed their way.
  102.
  103. It was good to see younger tribesmen active and around.
  104. (Motai)
  105. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  106.
  107. [14:26] Nym says, "I'm alright! Just...figuring out a good time to, do my teaching..."
  108. [14:26] She offers him a small nod of her head, confirming with words as well. "Yes, as long as the agreement stands." They wouldn't fight unless physically attacked first, such was the way it would have to be done.
  109.
  110. "This is my son, Balam. I've told him to seek you out to learn from, just in general and the ways of being an active warrior. He needs to learn from more people he isn't related to." Her attention briefly returning to the Druid.
  111.
  112. "Teaching..?"
  113. (D'noxa Aba)
  114. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  115.
  116. [14:29] "About my mom of course!" There was a small pause before they coughed a bit and flicked a bit of dirt from their cloak.
  117.
  118. "Well, its about the primordial Gaia, but! She's my mom in a sense."
  119. (Nym)
  120. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  121.
  122. [14:30] Having been introduced a bit by his mother the young pup moved towards the man who would be his teacher, A smirk growing upon his face as he looked up and down the would be mentor.
  123.
  124. His sliver canine eyes showing the intensity carried within his blood. Although there was some gentleness within them more so than his mother or father would show. Another slam to his chest. Which he immediately regretted as afterwards nearly knocking the wind right out of himself...
  125.
  126. "I am Balam Aba, Fledging Warrior of the Maloti Tribe, And Eldest of my clan. Teach me so I can be a warrior befitting of my clan and Tribe." His words were earnest and while they held high regard for a warrior there was an understanding it was one of mutual respect rather than master and student.
  127. (Balam Aba)
  128. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  129.
  130. [14:36] "You hurt me a bit! In my eyes we're all a family, working towards the betterment of ourselves and the land around us, brothers and sisters!" Cheerfully he spoke on their thoughts of the others, not finding anything wrong in the least with what he said.
  131.
  132. Jade-green eyes moved off the shaman, only to land onto the form of Balam, "Well." A light-hearted slam to his own chest was given, "Balam, I am Motai, people tend to just call me Tai, and...I'm still learning how to be a grand warrior myself, to be one that can be respected by those around me, and those that have already passed."
  133.
  134. "I'm not too sure what I can teach you on, but it won't stop me from trying to either way." Silently his arms crossed in front of their chest, his constantly smile never-changing.
  135.
  136. It was a good night.
  137. (Motai)
  138. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  139.
  140. [14:40] Leaving Balam and Motai to interact between each other, the mention of the Primordial of the earth caught her attention. Could it be possible that Nym may be the one to help her complete her goal? A soft hum escaping her lips. "Well.. I wouldn't mind you teaching here, as long as it's benevolent in nature." A small smile.
  141.
  142. "Though I do have something I would like to show you, and perhaps propose a proposition if you're interested..? It would be right up your alley." If it was anyone's at all, it would be Nym's.
  143. (D'noxa Aba)
  144. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  145.
  146. [14:46] "Very well Tai, I'll learn what I can from you and do the rest on my own." He was confident enough in himself to be able to get where he needed. His mother had taught him a majority of the time that independence was surely what a warrior needed to survive but there was also the aspect of the Tribe and the family that extended outwards.
  147.
  148. With his mother preoccupied with another conversation he'd lean towards Motai moving away from his mothers arms. "Can you help me practice my air magic? I want to learn how I can get better with this." Even if the man didn't use the same magic type there had to be some things he could teach him. Hopefully.
  149.
  150. He moved towards his peer wondering just what lessons and adventures they had in store. Although his child like demeanor wasn't present he'd often find himself 'acting' more mature than he really was.
  151. (Balam Aba)
  152. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  153.
  154. [14:51] "Benevolent in nature? Ma'am i'm literally a plant. Why would I harm the thing I swore to protect?" Another short pause before they shook their head gently. Tilting their head ever so slightly to the side as they leaned forward just a bit.
  155.
  156. "Something...to show me? Sure! I don't mind really. I'm here to help everyone as much as I can!" True to the druid's nature. They seemed to bear a sense of serene nature.
  157.
  158. Or one that seemed childish.
  159. (Nym)
  160. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  161.
  162. [14:53] "Good enough, you can learn other things from others as well." A step was taken forward, a hand moving to give a small slap on the back to Balam, "In this case, I can teach you on some wind magic...But first things first, we've got to see where you lie in your strengths."
  163.
  164. Suddenly they looked behind them, "Hey Omen! Up for coming with me to help teach our youngest?" A small wave was tossed to their friend, "He's needing some training on wind magic, and I'm sure both of us can do a bit of what's needed for them!"
  165. (Motai)
  166. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  167.
  168. [14:54] Omen yawned, then looked up to see Motai gesture towards him. As the Ookami approached, it became apparent that he had just woken up.
  169.
  170. "Sure, I could use a good workout." He said, stretching.
  171. (Omen)
  172. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  173.
  174. [14:55] Balam Aba asks, "Does anyone have an extra touch light?"
  175. [14:55] "It's always best to ask regardless." It was almost a tease, yet she was dead serious. Gesturing for Nym to follow, it would likely be a rather large surprise for him to see what she planned to reveal. "I have some plans for what I'm going to show you, plans I believe you would like to see come to fruition."
  176.
  177. "Though if I am correct about you, I will require your help to make it happen." She moves towards her home, not looking back.
  178. (D'noxa Aba)
  179. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  180.
  181. [14:59] The younger Ookami looked towards the hooded man and gave a small wave. Yet his eyes focused on him intently. Before shifting back towards Motai. "I'll show you the best I can. Hopefully you can give me some pointers."
  182.
  183. He said following along with his peers. He'd turn towards his mother acknowledging his departure but the words didn't need to be spoken. After all he had the blood of warriors. This path was already inscribed in his soul.
  184. (Balam Aba)
  185. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  186.
  187. [14:59] {Item} You picked up Torch. Dropped by Omen..
  188. [14:59] Motai exclaims, "Alright then, come along!"
  189. [15:03] "Alright then, here we are...The usual spot for training within the forest." With only a small walk, and sometimes a force run, did Motai bring the lot of them to an opening in the trees. Already he was giving small stretches, priming himself up for some exercise.
  190.
  191. "So, let's see...We'll start with seeing what you can do, and for that...Omen, you are up! But remember not to go easy on them, and in return...Balam, show us what you can do with your winds!"
  192.
  193. Judging by his voice, they had absolutely zero expectancy of Balam putting up a fight.
  194.
  195. "Then we'll talk on more."
  196. (Motai)
  197. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  198.
  199. [15:07] A sense of clarity swept over Omen as they reached the clearing. This had become one his favorite spots to visit, lately.
  200.
  201. At Motai's comment, a grin gripped the teen's face. "You should know by now that I wouldn't go easy anyways." He told Motai as noxious fumes arose from his form.
  202.
  203. Omen turned to the younger boy, gesturing for him to take his spot on the field. "Come then, show me what you can do." He threw a twisted grin at him. "And try not to get yourself hurt too bad."
  204. (Omen)
  205. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  206.
  207. [15:09] Balam took to mind that this is usually where the Warriors of the Tribes trained the open space was perfect for sparring after all, Plenty of trees as well for those who were more inclined to hide their presence.
  208.
  209. The boy had studied some what to get to the level he was at yet he couldn't yet hold a weapon properly so he opted to use his hands for this bout, Hes placed his claws above his chest and summoned a small glimmer of mana shrouding his body.
  210.
  211. It was only recently he was able to shroud himself in essence he gave as mall gesture towards his opponent for the bout before looking towards him intently. "I'll do what I can..."
  212.
  213. Yet he had very little up his sleeve, Besides a his spirit. His opening move was a sure fire thrust towards the man claws pointing towards him. Boosting his speed with his pure Ookami bloodline he'd use the winds to signal his attack in a sweeping motion towards Omen.
  214. (Balam Aba)
  215. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  216.
  217. [15:10] {Lost Restrained RPB against Omen}
  218. [15:18] The spar was over as soon as it began. With an uncanny speed, Omen easily sped away from Balam's attack. Just like that, the older Ookami was behind the boy, unleashing a flurry of blows into his back. The blade wouldn't strike deep, just deep enough to draw blood.
  219.
  220. A foot was planted firmly into the boy's back, kicking him to the ground. Omen shook his head, just before baring sharp pointed fangs. "You have a long road ahead of you." He said, coldly.
  221.
  222. Omen would not offer to help the boy up. "But, I believe we can sort you out." He paused, glaring at the boy. "Maybe." The older Ookami shrugged as he walked away.
  223.
  224. "You have the most experience here. Any advice for the boy?" He asked, looking at Motai.
  225. (Omen)
  226. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  227.
  228. [15:24] It was over before it began, The first step taken towards Omen Balam immediately lost sight of him, Only before feeling the jabbing pain of his blade piercing his flesh at his back, The venomous sent in the air made the Ookami reposition.
  229.
  230. Yet as his wits came to him a foot was planted in his back Kicking him into the dirt. A large dust cloud billowing over as his chest impacted the soil. An over all vicious assault. Although there was no intent to kill it sure as hell hurt.
  231.
  232. Yet the boy seemed to escape the spar with a few cuts and bruises he eagerly leapt back up to his feet. Not worrying about needing to be helped. The battle ended before he could even toss a wind magic spell out and it frustrated him a little.
  233.
  234. Yet he couldn't disagree with Omen's words. He wasn't strong at all as he was. He didn't clean himself from the dirt and blood he merely looked towards Motai for some advice if possible.
  235. (Balam Aba)
  236. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  237.
  238. [15:34] "Well, there's simple advice, but." A slow and steady march brought him into the middle of them, "It's to just get used to the winds, and what they do." Steadily he spoke to the younger Ookami, a small tilt of the head being given.
  239.
  240. "Which this isn't something I can explain to you on my own knowing of how it works, for one simple reason." The more he spoke, the more toxic the air around him seemed to become, just like Omen, a venomous aura formed all around his body.
  241.
  242. It whisked peacefully in the wind, though with his control, it never touched his brethren. After all, its true force was meant for enemies.
  243.
  244. "The winds to me are just movements, slow, fast, it's all just a 'way'...Or at least that is my bare thoughts on the natural winds." His hand flashed, a small gust of air flowing forth.
  245.
  246. "But I don't want you thinking about that, since if I were to teach you my exact knowledge, you'd just be a copy of me." A tap of the foot sounded, the ookami suddenly vanishing from their spot, only to appear right next to Balam.
  247.
  248. "Which might lead you to being decently strong, but you'd never be a grand warrior as a copy-cat, since you need to pave your own way. Just like how all other grand warriors have." A pause, "At least that is how I see it."
  249.
  250. Briefly he smirked, the noxious fumes that surrounded him suddenly vanishing.
  251. (Motai)
  252. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  253.
  254. [15:40] He agreed with Motai's position yet he still hadn't really considered what the winds meant to him or even if they meant anything just yet. Being an Ookami he knew wind magic was within his scope as being a mastery amongst the beastkin of his variety yet he'd have to push beyond just natural talent with them.
  255.
  256. "I suppose there are still things I've yet to understand about Wind magic but I don't want to be a copy cat that's for sure." He clenched his fist before aiming towards one of the trees that had been setup for target practice in the area.
  257.
  258. Gathering air into his palms and sending it out in a burst propelling it forwards. Aiming to improve his potency by training himself immensely, "The only way I'll learn is by doing then...."
  259.
  260. Blasts of air continued to ripple down the side of the tree, The force too weak to even damage or dent the tree bark or the target yet enough to knock it side to side.
  261. (Balam Aba)
  262. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  263.
  264. [16:05] The young pup continued letting out his frustrations in his magics. Yet despite how much mana he could influence getting the hang of Wind magic seemed to be much more taxing than he originally thought at the very least at his current abilities.
  265.
  266. His goal at this point was to aim towards his target and land each attack with precision. Yet it proved to be a much more difficult display than he first intended.
  267.
  268. After nearly exhausting himself he decided to rest and meditate on the sensations he'd been experiencing. The flow of mana in himself and in the air. And he'd aim to hone in deeper into his understanding of Wind magic.
  269.
  270. For Omen and Motai they combined the Winds more toxic aspects to create poisons and venoms. Yet Balam had no intention of doing the same, Wind magic had to be suited after his own image of power. What he wanted to dedicate himself to becoming.
  271.
  272. His breath slowed as he pondered it more. A gentle breeze blowing through the trees rustling leaf's off their branches. Despite how gentle the winds were they were strong enough to sever the Leaf's from strong trees that produced them. Pulling them into their currents as the winds danced through the air towards the clouds.
  273.
  274. Balam naturally following this movement in his mind, His breath aligning itself through his diaphragm as he aimed to synchronize his breathing with the way the winds blow.
  275.
  276. "Gentle as the Tempest....And fierce as a Storm..." He recited to himself, Perhaps his peers would catch on to his ideals if they were sensitive enough to hear it.
  277.
  278. The aspect of Duality that the boy wished to embody. His own path that he would carve separately from those he knew thus far. He rose to his feat prepared for a new goal.
  279.
  280. He'd try to manipulate his wind magic, Gently instead of forcing the waves of wind to move rapidly and uncontrolled. Balam use it in precise bursts thatwould aim to pluck a single leaf from the tree branch each time.
  281.
  282. After knocking down 50 or so he'd turn towards the one watching over him hoping to have some advice for his sudden burst of inspiration. "Hows that Tai?"
  283.
  284. (Balam Aba)
  285. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  286.
  287. [16:12] "Exactly, you just need to do, and continue training to figure out what exactly it all is. Magic isn't a singular path after all, it's a multitude of different paths! Though...It's a bit different for other things." But he didn't speak on them, and instead just watched Balam in their time of thought.
  288.
  289. And their ears definitely weren't deceived in hearing his reciting, but nothing was said on it. Instead they just let him do what was needed, giving a brief, "It's looking fine, for having just started getting into magic and the like, a long way to go obviously...But, we're beastkin, brethren that help one another and learn from family."
  290.
  291. A pause suddenly happened,, his head turning to look at Zuchi, "Just like right now, where you are learning from me and Omen, even if it's just by a bit of training, you can learn a lot by yourself...Nice bit of precision, now you just need more power."
  292.
  293. One hand raised, motioning to Zuchi, "Affiliation?"
  294. (Motai)
  295. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  296.
  297. [16:15] It looked like he'd stumbled upon some training during one of his walks. "Me? My name's Zuchi, I live in the village." He'd state calmly as he curiously approached.
  298.
  299. "You guys are training in.. Magical energy, right?? Right??" He'd question as his curious look began to lighten into a more cheerful one. "I'm training to learn to use magic too." He'd proclaim with a quick jab to his chest with his thumb.
  300. (Zuchi)
  301. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  302.
  303. [16:21] He'd listen to Tai's words concentrating on slowly infusing more and more power to the precise strikes. Although it was more difficult than he'd first imagine.
  304.
  305. While he could instill 'force' into his wind power he couldn't quite hone in mixing both power and speed into his abilities. Confused for a moment he turned his attention towards Zuchi who had just appeared. "These are the training fields after all. If you're here I suppose you're aiming to become a warrior of the Tribelands as well?"
  306.
  307. His words spoken to the boy as a peer, He very rarely speaks to anyone in higher esteemed and never speaks to others as if they were lower than him. In his eyes all creatures were made equal and deserved an equal amount of respect.
  308.
  309. A gesture towards Zuchi for him to join if he was so inclined. "Come let us both grow stronger. Unless you've got something better to do." He'd pivot back to his training. Giving Omen an odd glance before thinking more intensely on his own powers.
  310.
  311. His blade jabbed at him piercing his skin....Perhaps using the wind he could do something similar? The Pup pondered it for a moment thinking of ways he could manage it.
  312. (Balam Aba)
  313. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  314.
  315. [16:25] Omen had resigned himself to watching, for now. There was little advice he could offer, as he was still coming into his own. Motai was a much better teacher, anyways.
  316.
  317. No words escaped the Ookami as he watched Balam exercise his talents. Only a grunt here and there. The teen nodded occasionally, noting the boy's determination.
  318.
  319. When the newcomer arrived, Omen offered them a wave with a clawed hand. He was usually not so welcoming to those he did not know, but things were changing. Trust in his tribe mates was growing. "If you've come to train, now is a good time." He said to Zuchi.
  320.
  321.
  322. (Omen)
  323. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  324.
  325. [16:28] A few steps back were taken from the group, the beastkin deciding to find a nearby rock to lean against. With a brief look at the pop, and then to Zuchi a simple statement was tossed at them, "You'd be right." There was no judgement in his voice to the human, after all, they had no problems with race.
  326.
  327. It was others that had problems with the beastkins, "Feel free to train together, after all, learning from one another is the way to go, equal strength begets equal strength. It's like how me and Omen used to train together to reach where we are now."
  328.
  329. Coolly he chuckled, "We still are doing that though, because there is further for us to go." With that said, his eyes closed to ponder things for a moment.
  330.
  331. "Names Motai by the way, newcomer."
  332. (Motai)
  333. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  334.
  335. [16:33] "It's nice to meet you guys! I'd love to join, thanks for having me." He'd take a couple steps forward as he gave the other teen a look over.. He seemed older, maybe more experienced than he was.
  336.
  337. "I have a small confession to make though, I'm not exactly great at using magic." He'd chuckle sheepishly as he rubbed at the back of his neck. "But I've been learning to fight for a while."
  338. (Zuchi)
  339. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  340.
  341. [16:40] Balam was lost in thought for a bit but when he heard Zuchi's introduction he'd come back to his senses yet again his silver eyes more intense in his convictions.
  342.
  343. "I'm horrible at magic currently as well. It doesn't mean we can't improve. And help each other as well." His voice trailed off as he was thinking of something else but he cleared his mind of distractions for now.
  344.
  345. "I am Balam Aba, Of the Maloti Tribe. Zuchi what magics do you use? Or plan to learn?" He'd leave the pleasantries for another time, Balam preferred to get straight to the point of things.
  346.
  347. He'd glance towards his hands looking at his clawed fingers only for a brief moment. Then a spark of inspiration hit him over the head. Immediately turning his back towards Zuchi he reeled back as if he was going to strike towards the trees.
  348.
  349. envisioning in his mind how he would aim his attack. Like claws raking the wind he'd extend the striking force of his claws to his wind magic. At least that was his theory
  350.
  351. He tried multiple times and failed each time more miserably than before until finally one of the leafs that broke from free the tree branch split itself in half. Progress...although slow at best.
  352. (Balam Aba)
  353. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  354.
  355. [16:40] * You have been awarded 20 Roleplay Points! *
  356. [16:42] Omen exclaims, "Hmm. Let me move out of your way!"
  357. [16:45] "Magic I plan to learn.. Hmm." He'd raise a hand to his chin. "I'm not sure.. I've tried to use fire magic but, I couldn't even get smoke to puff out of my hands."
  358.
  359. "I haven't really had a teacher in magic either.." He'd continue to think about the subject before lifting his head with a smile. "Oh well, I'll figure it out sooner or later.. Maybe." He didn't seem to be too worried about it.
  360. (Zuchi)
  361. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  362.
  363. [16:45] Omen says, "You two should fight."
  364. [16:45] Omen says, "Talking only goes so far."
  365. [16:45] Balam Aba says, "Hmm..."
  366. [16:46] Omen says, "You will likely learn a lot about each other through your actions."
  367. [16:51] After his successful strike he'd turn back towards Zuchi having heard his desires yet he seemed almost disappointed in his peer. "If you desire to be a warrior you have no time to idle and ponder. If you truly want to master fire don't give up just because you failed to do it once."
  368.
  369. He took a stance even before Omen's suggestion he'd already resigned himself to fighting Zuchi hoping it would help him learn something. "Warriors are meant to learn on the battle field and taught how to survive at birth. If you're going to become one then you have to have more guts than that."
  370.
  371. Perhaps it was because of the great amount of pressure his own clan put on him, But Balam didn't like to see anyone give half hearted answers. Even though he himself gave them to his mother quite often. Yet he was a firm believer that even if you have to fake it was a showing of what he decided.
  372.
  373. He only assumed Zuchi wanted to become a warrior after all most men in the village did fall down that path if not artisans. "Lets spar Zuchi! Maybe you'll find what you want to do learn after a few rounds." Win or lose The Ookami was more focused in putting what he learned to practice
  374. (Balam Aba)
  375. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  376.
  377. [16:56] Zuchi already knew what he wanted to do with his life, he wanted to see the world and live a full life. But he'd need to become stronger if he was going to survive in this world.
  378.
  379. "Sparring? Alright I like the sound of that!" He'd state confidently while raising his fists up, not much for mana could be seen emanating from his body.. But an attuned magi could infact sense it was there.
  380.
  381. After all, everybody had the ability to utilize magic, some were just better than others. "Do you have any training in fighting Balam? You said you were a warrior right?"
  382. (Zuchi)
  383. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  384.
  385. [17:00] The Ookami shakes his head from left to right his experience as a fighter was nearly 0. "Nope I haven't fought much besides idle spars with my Father...And well with Omen.." But he didn't really consider that a fight.
  386.
  387. Him saying he was a warrior was merely boasting but he doubled down. "I have a lot to learn still before I become a true warrior, my fighting style is still underdeveloped so I'm making it up as I go...but it won't be like this forever!"
  388.
  389. He claimed as he went in for a strike. Moving fast with the speed of air pushing him forwards. In hopes to engage the human boy.
  390. (Balam Aba)
  391. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  392.
  393. [17:01] Motai says, "...You look more like a girl every day, Yuki."
  394. [17:01] Motai asks, "What's with the bow?"
  395. [17:02] Motai says, "Weird."
  396. [17:03] Motai says, "Are they? Bit strange."
  397. [17:03] Motai says, "Not exactly 'not' allowed."
  398. [17:03] Zuchi wasn't exactly prepared for Balam to come at him so quickly and suddenly! But he'd manage to duck out of the way and leap back a decent distance now fully ready to engage.
  399.
  400. "Jeeze.. I didn't think we were ready to start just yet, but I'm ready now!" He'd shout as he began charging forward.
  401. (Zuchi)
  402. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  403.
  404. [17:03] Motai says, "But strange to see them about."
  405. [17:07] Quick on his feet the boy was clearly a natural when it came to a fist fight.. Magic or none he had decently sharp reflexes and enough endurance to withstand the blasts of air that were fired off his way.
  406.
  407. "Orya!" He'd reel back his fist as he ran directly through the gust of wind before planting his fist on Balam's cheek to send him skidding backwards!
  408. (Zuchi)
  409. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  410.
  411. [17:10] Even though Balam had resolve he fully lacked the strength to follow through. Each blow Zuchi used striking him directly unguarded by magic. Zuchi seemingly more used to combat than the latter only resulted in the boy getting beat to a pulp.
  412.
  413. Yet that didn't break his spirit. He fired off dull windblasts and used the air to pressure his movements. Even if it was meager learning to take hits and dish them out had some benefit as well.
  414.
  415. A powerful punch landed onto Balam's cheek the child in him wanted to scream in pain and while there was a bit of tears and slobber that struck out the boy merely channeled that frustration into his magic. "Not bad..." He said reeling back rubbing his now bruised check.
  416.
  417. His claws laid open again aiming to attack again.
  418. (Balam Aba)
  419. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  420.
  421. [17:12] {Lost Restrained RPB against Zuchi}
  422. [17:15] As the two went at it again there was an exchange of blows as it looked like Balam was beginning to throw kicks and punches himself in the middle of throwing around his wind magics.
  423.
  424. Fists being thrown and attacks being blocked back and forth between the two began to wear down on the beastkin as Zuchi would reel back his hand and thrust forward an open palm against Balam's open chest.. This was no martial arts move, it was simply a heavy push!
  425.
  426. The push would send Balam to his back and into the dirt of sparring grounds as Zuchi stepped back with a breath. "Phew.."
  427. (Zuchi)
  428. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  429.
  430. [17:21] Balam was still unbalanced and unsteady His attacks although planned out still had much more of an immature nature to them despite how serious he aimed them to be he still lacked the ability and talent to succeed in his attacks.
  431.
  432. The two exchanged blows back and forth Powerful gusts of winds were whipped towards Zuchi but they were inviably blocked by the martial arts the boy had been developing on his own. Yet Balam didn't relent moving in close to use a close quarters technique though it was quickly evaded and countered by Zuchi.
  433.
  434. A strong push thrusted into Balam's chest releasing the air in his lungs out through his lips as he was shoved down to the ground the wind knocked smoothly out of him.
  435.
  436. As his back fell into the dirt of the sparring grounds. A silver eye'd glance would feint as the boy was still in pain from his previous bout with Omen. Although he didn't spend much time in the dirt as he rose once again to his feet.
  437.
  438. "You've got quite the punch...You'll make a warrior some day once you've actually learned magic." He said with heavy breaths still holding his chest.
  439.
  440. "I learned a lot from that though thanks for the spar." He claimed as he'd refocus himself on the trees before him. The spirits had let him get this far it was up to him to take what talents he did have and improve upon them...Even if it wasn't going to be easy.
  441. (Balam Aba)
  442. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  443.
  444. [17:26] "You too! That wind magic you use is really cool." He'd begin to walk over to the other boy with a nod of his head in approval. "So.. You're all warriors?" He'd ask curiously as his gaze shifted from Balam to the other two who were spectating.
  445.
  446. "You all look real tough."
  447. (Zuchi)
  448. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  449.
  450. [17:33] Omen had watched the spar with approval, though his features showed otherwise. They both still had much to learn.
  451.
  452. "Yes." He said, nodding. "You two did alright, but don't let it get to your heads." The Ookami shook his head. "Don't stray far without an escort and you should be fine, though."
  453.
  454. A grin began to form. "I look forward to seeing how strong you two become." Omen folded his arms, looking the two boys over. "If you ever need a sparring partner, Motai and I are always willing to help."
  455.
  456. Omen bared his teeth at them. "Though, I will show you same mercy as Saekanis when he comes to devour you. Even in practice. This is how you become strong." He finished.
  457. (Omen)
  458. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  459.
  460. [17:39] Having nearly recovered the boy would roll his shoulders back and once again begin to refocus himself on training against the trees, Using precise bursts of Wind to slice the leaves off the branches.
  461.
  462. A grin appeared on his face as he heard Omen's words only to think back to something his father had told him. "The only thing you can devour of me is my weakness. Everything else will be mine to keep and fight for." He said with a confident gaze as he continued to push his efforts.
  463.
  464. Each kick sending a powerful burst of wind magic towards the trees. Yet he still was off the mark in terms of power. Yet there was little signs of discouragement even with the two losses under his belt.
  465.
  466. No one becomes a prodigy over night after all..."I'll earn the right to become a Spirit Dancer...I can't let it stop here!" He said aiming to motivate himself.
  467.
  468. Never taking a moment not to train despite his growing fatigue.
  469. (Balam Aba)
  470. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  471.
  472. [17:41] Zuchi asks, "Spirit dancer?"
  473. [17:42] Balam Aba says, "Yeah thats right. My mothers the best there is."
  474. [17:42] Zuchi asks, "....What is it?"
  475. [17:43] Balam Aba says, "That...is a well kept secret. Although mother has been able to use it to become the best Shaman in Moxtli. So its a power worth having if you aim to become a guardian of the spirits like I do"
  476. [17:44] Zuchi says, "Hmm.."
  477. [17:44] Omen says, "You have a lot of determination. "
  478. [17:45] Omen says, "I'm sure you'll do fine."
  479. [17:45] Zuchi says, "I really wanna know that secret.. But you don't have to tell me."
  480. [17:45] Balam Aba says, "I couldn't tell you if I did know! But I have no idea myself."
  481. [17:46] Balam Aba says, "Mother said only those who have 'earned it' Have a right to know about spirit dancing."
  482. [17:46] Omen says, "And you would do well to heed those words."
  483. [17:46] Omen says, "Your mother is wise."
  484. [17:47] Balam Aba says, "Well I'd like to think so. Being wise is whats necessary for the Head Shaman."
  485. [17:47] Omen nodded in agreement.
  486. (Omen)
  487. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  488.
  489. [17:48] Balam Aba says, "So what about you Zuchi? What will you do with your strength once you've gained it? "
  490. [17:48] Zuchi would scratch at the back of his head with a puzzled look. "I want to see the world, I love our village but.. It's too small! There's a giant world out there to explore and see!"
  491. (Zuchi)
  492. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  493.
  494. [17:54] There was indeed a large world beyond the forests of the Tribe lands and he could very well understand Zuchi's curiosity. "Indeed maybe one day I'll do the same and explore around but I've heard there are many dangerous people outside the village. I'd be careful if I were you."
  495.
  496. Although Balam had curiosity it wasn't enough to take him outside just yet. "As for me though I have no reason to leave the village as of yet. Mother says Moxtli needs to heal and there are many people that don't like us in the world at the moment. I can't explore or adventure without knowing my home is safe first."
  497.
  498. He'd turn back firing off blasts of air aiming to hack away at the branches that held the leaves now. Is abilities becoming sharper and more refined. He envisioned the very same sword Omen carried, Except wielding it as a blade made from air.
  499. (Balam Aba)
  500. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  501.
  502. [17:54] Zuchi says, "I see.."
  503. [17:55] Zuchi says, "Well, there's nothing saying I can't do both."
  504. [17:55] Zuchi asks, "Right?"
  505. [17:55] Balam Aba says, "Thats something only you can answer."
  506. [17:55] Balam Aba exclaims, "If you say you can then do it!"
  507. [17:58] Zuchi says, "Mm.. Say.."
  508. [17:58] Zuchi exclaims, "Let's be friends Balam!"
  509. [17:59] Balam Aba says, "Aren't we already? I'd consider anyone who sparred with me a friend especially if their aiming to help the Tribelands."
  510. [18:00] Omen says, "I find the idea of 'friends' a bit strange. But, we take care of our own here. We are all brothers and sisters."
  511. [18:00] Balam the shimmer of essence began to subside around the boy, His limit had successfully been reached as far as training went yet he walked away with more knowledge and even a new friend in his midst...He glanced towards Motai and Omen who had been watching him intently.
  512. (Balam Aba)
  513. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  514.
  515. [18:00] Balam Aba says, "Thank you for teaching me today i hope we can continue this again some time soon...But I'm starting to get tired now..."
  516. [18:02] Omen nodded, then lazily waved at the boys.
  517.
  518. "M'hm. You both did okay today. Just be sure to keep up with your training." The Ookami's hand rested on his stomach. "I believe I'm feeling a bit hungry."
  519.
  520. Turning to leave, he called out to them. "It was a pleasure meeting you both."
  521. (Omen)
  522. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  523.
  524. [18:03] Balam Aba exclaims, "You as well Big bro Omen take care!"
  525. [18:05] "See ya Big bro Omen!" He'd call out as he cupped his hands around his mouth. He'd then turn to look over at Balam with a smile. "I'll keep working on learning how to use magic, I can't let you pass me without effort."
  526.
  527. He'd point a finger in his direction.
  528. (Zuchi)
  529. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  530.
  531. [18:06] Balam Aba says, "Heh...I'll supass you if you slack off! I don't plan on giving up anytime soon."
  532. [18:07] Zuchi exclaims, "Me neither, so keep it up!"
  533.
