  1. “How. In Odyn’s flaming asshole. Did we lose Quagnark. In Goldshire?” Salad asked through gritted teeth, trying his best to control his anger. “And why. Is my recruit. Passed out. On the Lion’s Pride Inn Roof. NAKED?!” He screamed into the gnomes face. Salad was holding the gnome by the collar of his robes, and had him lifted unto the air to bring him face to face. The day was not going well, or as planned, and the night was still young. Salad had to fix this, and fast, before Glow or any of the guild officers found out. Helheim, with how chatty everyone is, Salad needed to make sure NO ONE in the guild found out. The gnome shivered in pure terror as the much larger night elf held him aloft and screamed into his face.

  3. “I..I sw-swear I didn’t mean for this t-t-to happen mister, sometimes the mana buns can get tainted with arcane energies and-“
  4. Salad shook the terrified gnome, jarring him mid-sentence. “Tainted? TAINTED?! I have eaten a lot of mana buns, from a lot of different mages, and never, NEVER, did they make me lose my damn mind!” Salad lifted the gnome and pointed him towards the sprawled out figure of Crouton lying naked on the roof of the inn. “That boy right there is not even of legal age and look at him. LOOK AT HIM!” Salad yelled as he shook the gnome again. He yanked the gnome back to his face. “And the other boy, the one that you can’t see because he’s GONE, is also just a child!”
  5.
  6. “Oh Sally… quit being mean to the poor little gnome.” A sultry voice purred behind him, a voice that Salad knew all too well; the voice of his own sister. He turned his head, still holding the gnome, and shot her a glare.
  7.
  8. “You are the last person I need to see right now, Yola.” Salad hissed. He felt a sudden swoosh and he yanked his head around to find himself holding nothing, a thin layer of arcane mist hanging in the air around his fist. He cursed and turned to face the night elf woman who was approaching him slowly.
  9.
  10. “Well then how will you find your little Death Knight?” Yola said with a sly grin as she playfully ran her fingers along the single braid she wore in her purple hair. Salad’s face twisted into a snarl as he stared his sister down. She wore a revealing dress and shadows writhed around her bare feet, casting into lewd silhouettes and emitting a barely audible moan.
  11.
  12. “I’ll kill a priestess, I swear to Helya, I will face the shadow’s madness if you don’t tell me where that boy is.” Salad said, gripping one of his large axes. “I am not in the mood for one of your games.”
  13.
  14. “Mmm, I love it when they resist… it never lasts long… even for a headstrong elf like you, Sally.” Yola said softly, stepping right up to her taller brother and running one pointed fingernail down his breastplate. Salad sprung to grab her but his hand passed right through her. She giggled girlishly and turned to walk from him. “You don’t have a choice, honey. You have 1 hour to find the boy within Lion’s Pride Inn. I’d hurry if I were you; such pure innocence as his doesn’t last long in there.” Her giggle crescendoed into a manic laughter as she disappeared into the crowded inn, stepping right through other people.
  15.
  16. Salad gritted his teeth and took in a deep breathe. He was not in the right state of mind for Goldshire, not tonight, but he had seen what his sister can do to a man’s mind. Quagnark was too young for this. ‘You will not turn that boy into one of your fiends.’ Salad thought with determination, as he pushed his way through the crowd into the inn.
