13:40Ears: Oh! We're pretty forgiving in that regard. Part of the whole experience is having your character learn things that you're also learning OOC ^^

13:41Ears: And sometimes, in my case most times, you don't really even need to participate in the main story to have fun

13:41Calliope Magnus: I enjoy participating. When I don't or I'm not talking to someone it can be...depressing.. for me.

13:43Ears: Well I can't guarantee you'll always have someone to play with you one on one, you can always participate in anything you want to ^^

13:43Calliope Magnus: One on one isn't necessary. Groups are just as well. I just get lonely easy.

13:44Ears: Understandable, and we're all pretty friendly, and as you can see we talk a lot in the room anyway ^^

13:45Ears: Also, being a sorcerer is pretty good. You could fit in well with Elly who runs a magical town thingy that she just started up

13:49Ears: I could set your stats up if you want to, if you're planning on fighting, otherwise you could intro ^^

13:50Calliope Magnus: I don't know if Calliope will do much fighting. Most of my characters who are mages are usually some sort of healer or philosopher.

13:50Ears: If you want to participate in fights in any way its highly recommended to put stats up, unless you're planning on going in on base stats alone

13:51Calliope Magnus: For the most part Calliope is a scholar, so her getting into a fight would be brief.

13:53Ears: Gotcha gotcha, but even if its brief it'd be best to figure out stats. I can make a setup if you tell me what you want your character to specialize in

13:54Calliope Magnus: I know what her specialty is... Basically her magic is the same way you'd expect Dr. Strange's magic to work.

13:55Calliope Magnus: She's no sorcerer supreme, so she's not a major roadblock by any means.

13:57Ears: Alrighty. So the way our stats work is that you put 5 points at level 1 into either Health, Strength, Power, Intelligence, and Dodge. For each point you put into something, something also must be subtracted

13:57Ears: So for instance, you would want to put everything into power, to affect the amount you could heal/damage

13:58Ears: At the same time you would be putting -5 into something like Strength, because it would be your least useful stat

13:58Calliope Magnus: I'll be honest in saying I absolutely hate stat systems.

13:59Ears: Well you don't have to use it, just know that if you do get into a scuffle you won't benefit from putting stats into your character

13:59Calliope Magnus: I don't mind it in something like Pathfinder where it's set and you level quickly but in roleplay like this it never works out well.

13:59Ears: Most of my own character don't have stats, because I typically don't get them into fights, and if I do, I deal with the repercussions

14:00Ears: Well with the room, all you need to do is set it level 1, put times your RP'd down on our google sheets, and the GMs and mods handle the rest ^^

14:00Calliope Magnus: Haha, I have been roleplaying for 13 years, that'd be too time consuming and I know I would forget.

14:01Ears: Its up to you love ^^ I understand if its a bit much, sometimes I forget myself

14:02Calliope Magnus: I'm not entirely sure I'm even going to be into this roleplay. I am usually extremely turned off by text based roleplay that wants me to have stats of any variety.

14:03Ears: I'm not saying you have to have stats, its totally and option. I'm just warning of the risks of not having them and getting involved in fights and such ^^

14:03Calliope Magnus: If she does, they're few and far between. Usually misdirection and avoidance if anything.
