At a diameter of 10,787 km, Requiem , prior to entering the photosphere is absorbing radiation at an intensity of roughly 62 MW/m^2 with an equilibrium temperature 7235 K across the entire surface, nearly 1.33 times the boiling temperature of tungsten. However, along with the immense radiation any mass approaching a star undergoes the forces of electromagnetic pressure as a result of radiation force. In the above example Requiem is sustaining pressures greater than 500 billion times that of the surface of the Earth, roughly 6,000 times the ultimate yield of high strength steel alloy.
