- >Working on a painting
- >fluffy pony is playing in the corner
- >you told her to promise not to touch your canvas because this is real important - she promised she wouldn't
- >painting isn't coming out the way you want it to
- >frustrated, you get up and go to the kitchen for a drink, leaving fluffy pony alone
- >just as you're coming back, you hear a crash
- >run back in to see she accidentally knocked the easel over and spilled paint on it
- >fluffy pony is crying, a large bump on her head
- >paint is starting to soak into the carpet, canvas is probably ruined
- >You ask fluffy pony what happened, she says she "just wanned ta see your picture! I wasn't gonna touch it - honest!"
- >fluffy pony starts crying harder, saying she didn't mean to do it - it was an accident, and she doesn't want to be a bad pony and she's sorry she ruined your picture
- >calm fluffy pony down, make sure she isn't seriously hurt
- >Just a bump - she'll be fine
- >make it clear you don't hate fluffy pony - you're just upset with her right now - as you set canvas and easel upright again, tell her to go to her corner and stay there until you say so
- >spend the next hour and a half trying to get the stain out of the carpet, while fluffy pony watches, still sniffling a little
- >manage to get most of it, before remembering the canvas
- >most of the paint has dried and can't be removed
- >...actually, it kinda adds something to the piece
- >for several hours, you work around it in a frenzy of inspiration and end up with a much-improved painting
- >Suddenly remember fluffy pony - she's fallen asleep, right where you left her
- >nudge her awake, give her a hug, and ask if she wants to see your picture
- >the next day, fluffy pony finds her own little fluffy-pony-proofed paper easel and extra large fluffy-pony-safe crayons waiting for her
- >you hang up her best drawings - right next to the painting
