The Geissens - are they really a terribly glamorous family?

Being a well-known television actor and entrepreneur, there is a lot that we do not know about Robert Geiss. Born on January 29, 1964, Robert Geiss is currently living with his wife Carmen Geiss, together with his daughters in Monaco, and they are known for the RTL documentary soap called "The Geissens - A terribly glamorous family".
The Geissens are known to be one of the most famous millionaire families in Germany, and while most of the rich people seek retirement quite early, they are very different. Instead of trying to have their peace and privacy, they decided to have their own show where they would broadcast their family life to the world. However, how much of what you see on TV is actually true?
According to the Geissens and the Sat1 everything that is filmed is authentic, but whether the Geissens can be considered as the Germany's most sympathetic millionaires is a different topic. In business terms, their life show on the RTL-II was a complete success, as it helped their bank account grow even more while increasing the number of opportunities that they got for merchandising or advertising different campaigns.
That all seems nice and somewhat innocent, but where does their wealth actually come from; since it is not like the Geissens were born as celebrities. Robert Geiss actually gained some of his fortunes by being a textile contractor, and in 1986, he was able to fund his own sportswear label with his brother Michael. The name of that label was "Uncle Sam" and the targeted audience were body builders. In 1994, Robert Geiss got married to a fitness trainer named Carmen, and they now have two daughters.
After the Geiss brothers sold their 'Uncle Sam' brand in 1995, they got even richer. At that time, the amount they got was around 140 mil DM, which was divided between the two brothers, Robert and Michael Geiss. Some say that a bigger portion of that money was invested in equities, and it has been growing ever since. In 2004, Michael Geiss actually bought back the 'Uncle Sam' brand, but his brother has nothing to do with it anymore.
Coming back to their current state, there is a rumor that the Geissens have actually lost their wealth. This is why the question was even asked, are they still considered to be the terribly glamorous family, or is everything that is shown on camera just play-pretend? Well, as much as one would like to know the answer to this, there is no evidence that can prove it.
There is one thing that Robert Geiss has actually 'left behind' to the youngsters who want to get rich and famous. In an interview, he once stated: "If you want to become rich, you can't stay in school for too long...", however, should our children actually follow the footsteps of this terribly glamorous family's way of getting famous and rich fast?
