  1. 18:59] It was elementary to let Lotan take the first step. He didn't have a clue and why would he? No one expected Lyulf to be fast. They presumed him to be a slow brute. No, he caught Lotan by the scruff of his neck and halled him up.
  2.
  3. "Actually, you're coming with me."
  4.
  5. He turned and saw Alicia at the same time! How odd, still they'd give a salute to the muscly woma- They were gone. Well, no matter! Down the street Lyulf walked with Lotan carried under arm.
  6. (Lyulf Yayle)
  7.
  8. [18:59] Somehow before the youth could flee in time a familiar figure had managed to grab him by the neck,
  9.
  10. "Hey!" he yelled out, but the world seemed to spin and he found himself being carried by a Private Yayle in arms; like package as they headed down the street!
  11.
  12. The last thing of course they heard was the enraged screeching of Eden Sage yelling
  13.
  14. FUCK IT ALL
  15.
  16. In the square, it seems things were gonna escalate!
  17. (Lotan)
  18.
  19. [18:59] There he was, August, the teacher who'd help bust down his blockade. What a smug, punchable face he had! Still, Lyulf was here for something more important than wounded pride! Hauling Lotan half across the country; really the stamina of Lyulf was on full display as he simply jogged from Achyon with the boy under arm.
  20.
  21. "Oi, Teach."
  22.
  23. The words left his lips as he gentle tossed Lotan on the ground like a sack of potatoes. No doubt the boy was used to a few hard knocks by now! Still, after tossing them down Lyulf's mouth returned to flapping.
  24.
  25. "I want to enroll this Fish at the Academy." He was talking to August and just from the way he stared at the older man it was evidently clear that he didn't like him. "He's a fish so I imagine a water-magi as experienced as yourself could show him a thing or two." He paused as if wondering what how best to say his other thought, then he settled! "Just cut out the anti-Imperial bullshit from the lesson plan."
  26.
  27. Yes, that was why the youthful soldier of Achyon had came to the Academy. To enroll a Fish boy. What a strange turn of events! However, as having been someone who simply snuck to the classes himself he had no clue how enrollment actually went.
  28. (Lyulf Yayle)
  29.
  30. [18:59] The youth was watching what seemed a lover spat one second, and trying to slip away before things got nasty. Next thing he knew he was being packaged, and shipped by express Private Yayle train halfway across the globe! The country side seemed to vanish and at some points even went by in a blur.
  31.
  32. This was something only a physically strong and capable magi could do. Any non-magi would have collapsed halfway through the journey!
  33.
  34. Brows furrowed as the youth was tossed like a standard issue newspaper on someone's doorstep!
  35.
  36. "Ahh Scyllas scales!" the youth grumbled, rubbing his chin as he tried to get himself together and catch his bearing. It was a rather strange space he found himself in . . high walls, towering posterity. This was . . .
  37.
  38. "The academy?!?" he stated in surprise, upon hearing Private Yayle speak. His friend had just talked about this place a few days ago, Alexander had even said this was a place of learning but he had never thought he would end up at their doorstep. Well in this case -thrown- at their doorsteps.
  39. (Lotan)
  40. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  41. [18:59] August sat outside the Academy, as he normally would taking in the rays of sunlight the day would offer. His eyes closed, only to be opened as he could hear footsteps approaching. His gaze turned towards the pair, one familiar and.. one he'd never met. He'd give a bit of a squint towards the young boy, seeming as he walked up towards him.
  42.
  43. As Lyulf would seem to toss the young boy on the ground, seeming to give no care at all.. nothing less to expect he'd quickly get to his footing stepping out towards the boy. A shake of his head, before he'd speak. "..You treat everyone like this Lyulf?" He questioned the boy giving his statement a listen, as he spoke upon his enrollment in the Academy along with him seeming to be a 'fish' August would give a tilt of his head.
  44.
  45. "A fish? Like a, Sirenian?" He questioned softly, "Ah, well I'm the hydromancy teacher for the Starfall Academy, you're welcome to join if you'd like.. young man, I'm sure you could learn a thing or two from here." He spoke giving him a nod and smile. "Being a teacher, I cannot enroll however that man behind me can." He spoke pointing towards Jericho.
  46.
  47. "You'll just need to give him some information and he'll enroll you, then you can go to classes.. or seek out lessons." He nodded clearing his throat, sitting back down once again.. as there would seem to be not hostile intent this time around.
  48. (August Illhardt)
  49.
  50. [18:59] A quick look, and he'd notice the indent of a palm. Glowing, that steady blue, just... Exuding mana. He'd then pause, letting some light coalesce in his palm, as he'd reach forwards.
  51.
  52. And tap 3 times, in a triangle about it. Three threads of light forming between him and the affliction. "Alright, small bit of purging, coming up." A steady thrum of cosmic energies would pulse into the threads, turnning them all yellow.
  53.
  54. And that blue glow? Would begin to fade quite a bit. Dull, returned to a state of near normalcy. And a state of much more expedited healing, having much less to be done.
  55. (Jericho)
  56. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  57.
  58. [18:59] Lyulf looked at Nezumi and in all honesty? They didn't recognize the rat in the slightest. It was a shame! Achyon wanted posters should have better mug-shots! Still, they'd offered a bit of kindness, as they were want to do. Hopefully it'd help the Razuka in some way.
  59.
  60. His focus returned to August as they questioned him about how he treated people. Looking down at the fish as they scrambled back up the young man thought for a moment. "Yea, I do." His attention returned back to August. Listening as the man explained that he was a Hydromancy teacher, which was pretty obvious to him.
  61.
  62. Especially after their clash north of Moxtli. It'd been a sight and a half! Though, if it'd been him and not Pip? Well, potentially would have went different. Not that he'd dwell on it, Pip really did dig her own graves. Still, it seemed August couldn't actually handle an enrollment. Which was fine, Lyulf simply looked at Lotan.
  63.
  64. "Kid, go speak to the cat after he's healed the rat."
  65. (Lyulf Yayle)
  66.
  67. [18:59] Managed to pick himself up from the ground, and hug the fishing rod that had traveled the continent with him express ship style.
  68.
  69. "eh? hydromancy teacher. . . " the youth muttered looking up at the large building again as he stood up, this place was kind of massive. For the time being he was still working towards being a cadet so it didn't seem like a bad idea to get acquainted with this so called academy.
  70.
  71. "A teacher can't. . .what?" he questioned though as Jericho was pointed out the youth got the gist of what was said. The land-dwellers were so strange compared to Atlantis sometimes!
  72.
  73. "er. . .sure yeah. . ." he said looking at Private Yayle in a moment of confusion. Wasn't this that place his friend Anael said was against the Brisgburg or something. He couldn't remember the complete name, but she didn't like the Academy too much. . .so he was curious as to why Yayle had brought him here. What could a human teach him about magic regarding water that he didn't know? Curiosity got the better of him and he headed over to the 'cat'.
  74.
  75. "Hey mister a moment, I want to. . .go to water classes!" the youth stated, he didn't care too much about the other stuff but he definitely believed Sirenians were the best water magi out there!
  76.
  77. "How do I sign up for this stuff?" he asked curiously.
  78. (Lotan)
  79. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  80.
  81. [18:59] A form was pulled from his side, he already able to guess what this was about.
  82.
  83. Basic, the typical essentials.
  84.
  85. "Just uh, fill this out. And it'll be filed, and uh, put in." Then he could be a part.
  86.
  87. Name:
  88. Age:
  89. City:
  90. Magical Affinities:
  91. Educational Desires:
  92. Guardian Signatures:
  93.
  94. "Sound good?"
  95. (Jericho)
  96. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  97.
  98. [18:59] As the boy scrambled his way back to his feet, his gaze wouldn't leave Lyulf as he spoke. It seemed that the kid had quite the pride in himself.. As his short response was given August would take a step closer. "Do you have any goals, ambitions.. Lyulf? Anything you look forward too in the future?" He spoke, clearly this was going to be used for attempt towards a lecture or something of that nature.
  99.
  100. Seeming as the boy would speak upon him being a teacher, and not being able to enroll August shrugged it off as it wasn't his choice.. or he wasn't sure why perhaps it was because he never asked the Headmaster for the pivledge. Before he'd start he turned back towards Jericho as the young boy started to head his way. His icy-gaze flicked back upon Lyulf, as he begun to think.
  101.
  102. He'd think back to their previous encounter, and what three trio had to offer. Perhaps it wasn't their best attempt at showing off their magic, nonetheless it was an act of courage.. with that thought his gaze peered back towards the boy. "Why, or what were you guarding there?" He spoke, perhaps it could've all been a misunderstanding.. although it was all called off once Pip had seem to try to pick a kids pocket. "If you don't have bad intentions, don't hangout with people that'll involve you in them." He nodded.
  103. (August Illhardt)
  104. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  105.
  106. [18:59] The moment August took a step closer to him? Lyulf squared his shoulders and locked the man's gaze with his own. Though his gaze was normally easy to tell as a deep blue. August was closer than most and could probably tell that there was something off about his eyes. As if perhaps he was wearing contacts of some sort.
  107.
  108. "I swear if you're prepping up for a lecture." He brought his arms up to cross his chest; clicking his tongue against the roof of his mouth as he answered. "My goal is to get that runt enrolled. My ambitions? Why do you even care?" Lyulf wasn't one to open up to people. Let alone enemies he'd clashed with before.
  109.
  110. His attention shifted along with Augusts as he looked to Lotan. Pondering if the boy would be able to handle the sudden shift in scenery and environment. They'd have to learn to be adaptable if they were going to survive. August's words caught his focus again and he lookedback to the man.
  111.
  112. "I told you when I stopped you. I was guarding for monsters, bandits, and enemies of the Empire. Osronans or Fireblooded." He frowned as he August spoke of his friends. The man shifted for a moment raising his chin. "They were under my command. Fellow soldiers, you wouldn't understand being an 'academic.'"
  113. (Lyulf Yayle)
  114. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  115.
  116. [18:59] August and Private Yayle seemed to have some sort of history as the duo began to talk; the teacher questioning the private about something or the other. They glanced at the paperwork and gnashed their teeth. Serrated pearly whites flashing into view.
  117.
  118. PAPERWORK!!
  119.
  120. The youth grumbled about 'filling out papers all day,' as Jericho handed them the form.
  121.
  122. Name: Lotan
  123. Age: Fourteen
  124. City: Atlantis
  125. Magical Affinities: Water, Ice, Melee
  126. Educational Desires: ????? Water ???
  127. Guardian Signatures: Private Yayle
  128.
  129. "fine, fine," the youth muttered in response to Jericho. The ink on land seemed so different, not quite as enchanting as squid ink.
  130.
  131. "Hm. . .well that's it right?" he asked handing the papers back to Jericho. He honestly saw no problem with signing off Yayles' name after all the private had dragged him here!
  132.
  133. "Hey do you guys have like lakes here and stuff?" the youth asked looking around. He was intent on making a very profitable business with his skills as a fisherman.
  134.
  135. Parts and snatches of Lyulf's conversation with August, and Skoupidia was heard but for the most part ignored. He was trying to adjust to the dramatic change in scenery.
  136. (Lotan)
  137.
  138. [18:59] Looking it over... He'd just nod faintly. "Yeah, that's it." With that much finished, he'd put the form away. Before gesturing south. "There's a great beach that away, prime fishing spot." And...
  139.
  140. "Basically, this whole island is surrounded by water, mostly uh, ocean though."
  141.
  142. A small shrug.
  143.
  144. "Anyhow, if you need a dorm, it's on you finding one of the roommates for it."
  145. (Jericho)
  146. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  147.
  148. [18:59] Lyulf Yayle says, "We'll put a pin in this stand off teach."
  149. [18:59] Well that was not quiet difficult but at the mention of a roommate he sighed, he had managed to secure a job and now they wanted him to room with someone?! That wasn't going to happen. . . not if he could help it!
  150.
  151. "I'll pay for my own room!" the youth said gritting his teeth, how long would he be at this academy who knows! He still needed to properly learn the language of the land-dwellers and see if their teachings were decent!
  152.
  153. In the sirenians head at least the design of the place was good, an island surrounded by water was the perfect nurturing grounds!
  154.
  155. "Well that's fantastic!" the youth states, slinging the fishing rod in a more comfortable position on his shoulders.
  156. (Lotan)
