On Wednesday, June 6, 2012 Gary joined with students and others concerned about tuition hikes & student debt. They demonstrated in solidarity with the ongoing student strike in Quebec (which was highlighted with large marches of people banging pots and pans). There were 12 arrests and also allegations of police brutality and excessive force. Police confiscated a photographer's film as well as deleted video of the incident.

Gary Wagaman was arrested. News reports varied, Police originally accused Gary of throwing something at an Officer which later was reported as a skillet, but later yet the official accusation became that he directly struck an officer with a pan breaking the handle.

Gary’s trial is part of a wider trend of a clampdown on dissent across the United States, with recent headline-grabbing cases including the detainment of Grand Jury resisters and allegations of prosecutorial abuse ahead of the death of Aaron Swartz at the start of the year.

All charges are FALSE!

Gary is facing a maximum of 5 years in state prison.
