⤕ Haiyi was born and raised in Seoul until her parents' divorce due to incompatibility. Haiyi and her sister were forced to move to New York with their mother while her father stayed in South Korea after the two graduated from elementary school. Haiyi has always been the most doted on in her household, being the youngest and all. Nobody could say no to her so the girl is spoiled and stubborn in what she wants. Haiyi's mother had met another man shortly after moving to New York and the two eventually remarried. At the age of 10, Haiyi became an older sister to her brother. Since Haiyi became the middle child, she relied mostly on her friends than her family. She became the typical overlooked middle child as her mother praised and relied on her older sister. Her brother became the spoiled one. Due to her outgoing and easy going personality, the girl was able to make a wide range of friends from every corner of the school although the closest to her were only one or two. She's gotten used to leaving that she doesn't want to get too attached with people now. Haiyi has always been active and a tomboy who liked playing all types of sports. Despite all the change in her life from moving back and forth, leaving and getting left behind by many, sports was a never changing variable for her so she grew up to play on her schools' sports teams. Plus, she had a natural talent for sports although she chose to focus on volleyball. She later returns to South Korea for college and again, was on the school's team. This was back in 2014 - the more she saw her childhood best friend on television, the more she realized she missed the time they spent together.

⤕ The carefree and outgoing little one by the name Vivian Wang Haiyi, you'll never catch the girl. She has enough energy to scour through ten galaxies and still have enough energy to travel to another ten. Always in it for the fun and leaves when things get complicated, Haiyi is up for whatever life has to offer. She doesn't like listening to people and because of her strong sense of pride, hates letting people seeing her down. A reckless and immature type, Haiyi says and acts however the hell she wants with no thoughts about the repercussions that it would bring. She's also very opimtistic and hopeful, never being able to see the bad in any situation. It's because of this that she's never down or even if she was, would bounce right back seconds later. Rowdy and obnoxious, you can most likely hear the girl from miles away. And the girl never stops moving, whether it's running her mouth or just physically not sitting still.

Haiyi is an extrovert who gets her energy through interacting with other people and loves to make new friends. She's open minded and understanding so she loves seeing new people and learning new things through those people. As long as you're not too radical about your ideas and trying to force it on her, Haiyi would welcome you with open arms. But only up until arm's length because Haiyi is very hard to get attached to. It's hard for her to let someone into her heart since she's been hurt before and honestly, she's scared of being backstabbed or betrayed again. Since loyalty is one of the most important things to her, once she considers you important, she'll be your ride or die. But if you make the mistake of having her lose her trust in you, you'll never be able to gain it back. Even if Haiyi is always willing to lend a helping hand, she's not a doormat. She'll never allow you to treat her like shit because her pride is as tall as the sky. It's also because of this that she finds it hard to talk about her deepest feelings unless its with someone very close.

⤕ The two recently graduated from elementary school and Sehun was excited to spend the summer with his best friend before middle school starts. But without any goodbyes or previous notice, she had moved back to New York. So just like that, Sehun fell out of contact with his best friend aka first love. He felt like this was the biggest betrayal he's ever experienced. He considered her to be so important but the girl had left without a proper goodbye. The saddest part about this was that Haiyi was just excited about moving and didn't have any thoughts about anyone she was going to miss.

⤕ A bunch of idols were asked about their childhood friend and Sehun had mentioned that she deserted him as a joke and that she used to always call him nemo so the two were made to meet at the aquarium. When Sehun arrived, his face was filled with horror as he saw his childhood picture where he was dressed as nemo. The boy scrambled to take all the pictures off, following the route the pictures were put on.
"Hey nemo." Sehun turned around and there she was.
Sehun was unresponsive and the two just looked awkwardly at each other.
"Wow you're like the size of Dory. " (referring to her tiny stature)
"Do you want to fight you stupid clown."

⤕ Sehun was bitter af that the girl just came barging back into his life like she was always there, acting as if they were still the best of friends and that she hadn't deserted him way back then. But he couldn't help but give into Haiyi's puppy faces because the girl seemed completely oblivious as to why he could possibly be mad at her. And if there was one thing he knew about Haiyi, it was that her pride was high as the heavens. She would never admit she was wrong or run after him. The two quickly become comfortable around each other again with the two always bickering over the tiniest things like who gets the last bite of the food or something. Haiyi is usually the one who leads in the relationship and Sehun just follows along with whatever she wants to since the girl is spontaneous and he wasn't much of a planner either. The two can have fun with just a piece of paper and constantly play stupid little games, making the loser carry out one of the winners' wishes.

Despite their closeness again, Sehun still can't find it in him to ask her why she left him back then, afraid the truth may hurt him even more. Haiyi is completely oblivious this whole time that Sehun was still bitter about her departure and that was the main reason why he's constantly picking a fight or teasing her. Everytime she starts to get annoyed with him, Sehun would do something nice like buying her food so she can't ever stay mad for long. And she realizes that Sehun was always there for her when she needed it and falls in love with her childhood best friend. Whenever Sehun does something nice, she'd involuntarily blush but uses sarcasm when Sehun says something like "falling in love with me?" "what other guy would be this nice to you" "you see the boyfriend material i'm made out of now?" inside, he gets all fuzzy though seeing her blush but he just didn't want to show that. When no one is around, he'd be squealing about it.
