"So, where are the other girls you were hanging with at school?" You ask between bites of your burrito.
>"Adagio and Aria are working, usually I'd be with them but we got knocked onto different schedules" She exposits, having demolished her triple deluxe taco minutes after getting it "Our manager is soooooo lame, he's always trying to split us up!" She whined "If we didn't need our jobs to stay off the street I'd so totally quit"
>"Woah, if you guys are in that much trouble isn't there somewhere you can go?" Silver butts in, looking pretty worried.
>"Not really, Adagio and Aria fight a lot so most of the shelters end up throwing them out, and we're all we have so I just kind go with them when it happens?" she explains, rubbing her upper arm nervously as you and Silver exchanged worried glances.
>"I'll be right back, I just remembered an important phone call I need to make" Silver said as he pulled out the emergency cellphone and quickly made himself scarce.
>"Did I do something wrong?" Sonata asked, sensing the sudden drop in the mood.
"Ah, it's fine!" You lie, trying to fake a chipper mood "So, where do the three of you work again?" You request as you try and reroute the conversation.
>"Oh we work at th-" She begins to reply only for a familiar voice to call you name and send your stomach plumiting into your shoes.
>You're so busy gearing up for a panic attack that you don't notice a similar expression writing itself across Sonata's face.
>"I knew it was you 'Nonny!" Pinkie cheered only for her happy expression to drop when she saw Sonata
>Tension fills the air as Pinkie looks back and forth between the two of you before she leans in close to you and begins to stage whisper.
>"Is she trying to brainwash you?" Pinkie asks in the aforementioned stage whisper.
"What?" You reply in confusion, what in the hell made her think Sonata was trying to brainwash you?
