  1. Hey guys, how’s it goin?
  2.
  3. This tournament got me all stressin' out. In the first round alone, we had two upsets, three blowouts, and a seven-game set that had me questioning everything I was doing. I knew the match with Tayman was going to be close. I thought I was mentally prepared for seven games. Honestly, by game 5, my nerves were shot. I literally had to pull four sub-9s out of my tuchus to survive. Are the rest of the matches really going to be this frenetic?

  5. Speaking of nerves being shot, my phone stopped being able to charge on Friday. I woke up on Saturday to a completely dead phone. It was a good five year run (I just looked up my receipt and realized that it was... five years ago?!), but I was able to confirm that my Galaxy S5's charging port is just borked. I am currently in the process of removing batteries to charge them and swapping batteries to minimize my downtime on the phone. It would be a miserable way to live (especially since this charging only gets the battery to 75%), but help is on the way. I was eyeing a new phone for a while, especially one with a headphone jack and expandable storage that I wouldn't have to pay an arm and a leg for. Seriously, what do you people need $1,000 phones for? Just get a cheap phone and a tablet for that price. In any case, I found Galaxy A51's at a not-outrageous price point that even enabled 5G. Sweet. I'll be getting that this week and say goodbye to my Android 6-based dinosaur of a phone. As much as it's been beaten up, it probably needs to be buried.

  7. I am gassed. Exhausted, even. I need to win this weekend so I can get a little bit of an extra break before the next match. For now, I'll settle for editing this broadcast video to be more presentable this week.
  8.
  9. In other news, I just learned that my local utility company is partnering up with a commercial ISP to build gigabit fiber internet in my area in the next three months. It ends up being 940 Mbps BI-DIRECTIONAL starting at a pre-tax price of $65/month! (Hey, it's cheaper than what I've got now.) I can't wait to look into it when it becomes available. I have been plagued with insolvable inconsistent internet for YEARS and am definitely looking for some sort of salvation. Froggen monopolies...
  10.
  11. By the way, I'm still waiting for what mistakes I end up making later after learning Japanese from Duolingo. One week is not enough to develop any bad habits, but I can't wait to see when everything hits the fan.
  12.
  13. That’s my life story for the week. Until next time, everyone, thanks for reading!
