  1. Hello Mariusz,
  2. Hello Kamil,
  3.
  4. to further progress with the Fortinet WiFi Project we think that some more information needs to be prepared.
  5.
  6. We would ask you to work through the following points as soon as possible:
  7.
  8. Please inform us briefly about the current status with the service provider. Is it clarified who runs the wiring?
  9.
  10. We believe that it sould make sense to exchange the old switches during this project. We need a list of all installed switches (product type, number of ports, vlan capable, PoE, connectiontype to the nodes). To get an overview of the network infrastructure, it would be useful to create a network plan (please see the attachement were you find an example of our factory). In this plan the switches should be marked including connections to the subnodes and server rooms. Please also inculde the type of wiring.
  11.
  12. In the heatmap of the service provider you can only see the APs and their position. It would be necessary to check the cabling and if and where further subnodes have to be created. Please add and mark the new subnodes to the network plan.
  13.
  14. We would like to use the same network hardware in your factory as in Trierweiler. This means that Aruba (HP) switches with PoE support should be used. It would be important to estimate if we need a switch with a higher number of ports at a certain point.
  15.
  16. It would be desirable that the sub-nodes are connected to the server rooms with glass fiber via appropriate wall sockets / patch panels. Switches should always be installed in designated cabinets. This also applies to the devices in the sub-nodes.
