Aoro, the Voice, Mother of Birds - AWRW - Weather, Freedom, Rebirth, Mystery.

Aoro originally appeared in the midst of nothingness, in the Gate of Worlds, meditating peacefully, until Yavan attacked her. The ensuing battle saw Aoro spread her essence across the nothingness, by shouting, giving birth to the letters of the Runic Alphabet. It is said that she defeated Yavan by shouting her Grand Name, at his heart, piercing it.

Every single of the original runic words, eventually gained sentience and turned into a bird-like creature. Aoro herself, gained a fleshly form. She appears as an androgynous, beautiful woman, wearing a feather cloak, with a bright spot of light on her forehead.

Anki, the Warrior, the Searing Watcher - ANKI - Insight, Justice, War, Fire.

Anki's original form was that of a massive eye, observing Corius from the Gate of Worlds. Seeing it full of suffering, Anki shed seven flaming tears, and from those tears the first Watchers were born. Watchers are similar to Ancients, their true forms incapable of existing in the material world without a solid shell or armor to coat it. After creating the first seven Watchers, the Eye of Anki snapped close. It is said that, when it only opens when the world is about to end.

Before he slept, Anki granted the seven Watchers knowledge and purpose, to carry out his mission and impose the Justice of Anki on the world. The Watchers are Anki's extension, and they added to their numbers by picking out souls they considered worthy, lighting them aflame and elevating to the status of Watcher. Anki's Fire, is magic available only to them.

Yavan, the Great Wolf, the Hungry - YVNE - Greed, Darkness, Cunning, Hunting

The Beast of the Void, a terrible creature, a massive black wolf, wild and monstrous, attacking everything in sight. It is said he killed many Ancients, until he ran in Aoro, and met his end. Yavan's corpse was pierced, and he fell into the depths of the void, returning to a primordial form. Now, Yavan's existence manifests itself in the world as a form of corruption on wild daemons, creating what are commonly called Nightmare Beasts.

Nightmare Beasts all possess some of Yavan's will, their bites capable of spreading the corruption into living beings. Some, even ingest the matter of the Nightmare Beasts, the Chaos Force into themselves, to be able to use the power and magic that Yavan propagates. Every creature infected by Yavan's essence, develops dark and beastly features.

Nees, the Black Ocean, Primordial Sea - NYSS - Water, Family, Music

Nees was the first Ancient to appear on Corius. Her realm is an infinite ocean, from which she could see the reflections of all living beings in Corius. Feeling lonely, she is said to have sung a lengthy tune which for the first time, disturbed the waters, and caused them to move. Underneath the waves, she created a new life form, which rose from the depths, and walked into the world. The children of Nees, who are believed to be humans.

Nees' true form is that of an abomination, yet she chooses to appear as a beautiful woman, rising from the sea, covered in dark fish-scales, with long dark hair that becomes one with the water around her. She is said to communicate in song alone. Nees is the only Ancient not known to be related to a particular type of magic or granting any type of magic.

Corona, the Keeper of the Tree of Time - CRNA - Time, Fate, Space (stars), Knowledge

The Tree of Time is said to be a vast, black pillar that grows in every world. It pierces the sky, and opens up a door in the realm of Corona, where it's keeper of the same name, observes countless futures and pasts. Corona is a young woman, but with grey hair, wearing a large, hooded cloak. It is said, that everyone sees in the cloak, the stars in the sky, at the time of their death, and those that can deduce this time, are taken by Corona as her apprentices.

Most of the time, she sits on CRNASTR (Coronaster), her golden throne, that allows her to see all of the time of Corius at the same time. Whenever someone messes with time, or manages to evade fate, Corona is at work, to undo the mistake. Corona is also one who teaches mankind about the intricacies of magic.

Inthar, the Dreamer, The Father of Dreams - NTHR - Dreams, Daemons, Dream-World and Dream-Force

Originally, Inthar's authorities besides dreams, were different. It all changed, once mankind and daemonkind made contact, and the idea that Inthar created and ruled over their race became mainstream. Originally, Inthar manifested as an emerald serpent, with multiple wings, and a head that 'glowed brightly, as if a sun'. His manifested form is depicted as a handsome man with marble-flesh, green hair that 'is like fire and water' and a lower half alternatively 'the body of a great white stallion' or 'a vortex, black and verdant'

Inthar is perhaps the most important of the current Ancients, yet also the least known about. It is because he took a direct role in ruling over the daemon species, and said species eventually wormed it's way into the human world, that he became well known. However, for some unspecified reason, Inthar installed a taboo on daemonkind, preventing them from depicting him, speaking of him, mentioning him in writings or any such things.

The only information currently available on Inthar, is through shady texts, handed down in secrecy, and preserved by brave loremasters and researchers. Inthar makes no actual magic available, but he does however provide dream force to be used.

Milune - Keeper of the Tree Of Life - MLNE - Life, Spring, Fertility / The Unnamed Ancient - MRWL - Death, Winter, The Netherworld

The dual Ancient of nature, present in all that is. In the primordial Corius, Milune the benevolent Ancient of nature, created a massive, mystical forest all over the lands of Corius, and filled it with spirits and familiars of her own, the original Corians. The myths speak of how, when humanity spread all over the land, the forest of Milune shrunk, and she had to retreat it into her own realm. Nowadays, the forests have lost the magic, as humans and daemons roam all over them.

Nowadays, the forests have lost their magic, and Milune's hand shrinks further away from the world of Corius. But the deeper one goes, the more one may find themselves entangled in the mystery of times immemorial. Milune is presented as an ethereal woman, perfectly (scarily) beautiful, with hollow eyes, wooden limbs, and hair made of extremely lengthy vines.

The Ancient of death remains unnamed, because 'MRWL' makes absolutely no sense linguistically and cannot be pronounced. He presides over what lies underneath the earth, as well as the realm of the dead, the Netherworld. MRWL commands his legions of  Shades, powerful monsters that possess power which is said to 'transcend' Magic, and are of the same order of being as the Watchers. The Netherworld is spoken of, often in ancient texts, but MRWL is something the old Corians were far more reserved about.

He looks exactly the same as Milune in body-shape, but his body is pale and frigid, his hair is white and smoky, and his eyes are dark, baring a dim glimmer of red light, that is said to be able to peer into souls, and dismantle all lies and secrets.
