- [arti] ARTICUNO
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxox
- Fly back home and head north to the spot next to the KBT Expressway entrance. We'll be asked if we want to call to Articuno, say Yes and then the magical password of the day (Sankren fimbulvetr) and here it comes!

- While we're here on Thundercap Mt. go back to that area of 4F where we rescued Milo (the boy in the Pikasuit) and met the man who needed a digging machine so he could reach a yellow Pokémon he once saw on a ledge. We've got that machine now, let him borrow it for a moment and watch as he breaks through the wall. He goes out to take a photo of the Pokémon and leaves us to catch it.

- ZERAORA - The Thunderclap Pokémon
- Level: 80

- I would seen an image of Zeraora on the Pokémon Database site a few times but had no idea what it was. Sweet design.

- HEATRAN - The Lava Dome Pokémon
- Level: 70
- Type: Fire/Steel
- Ability: Flash Fire
- Moves Known: Metal Sound, Earth Power, Heat Wave, Stone Edge
- I last encountered Heatran in Pokémon Kanlara Ultimate, where it was about to be used by Team Magma Boss Maxie to take over the world. Design wise it's not bad. Next up, we're going after the Legendary Titans so prepare yourselves for some Braille-powered puzzle action...because 5 generations after Gen 3 the ROMhack universe still can't get enough of Braille-powered puzzles :)
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
- [regir] REGIROCK
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
- Fly to Gurun Town and head into the Great Desert, aiming for the southeastern section and the now unsealed tomb of Regirock.
- DESERT RUINS
- ------------
- Head up to the north wall and let's read that Braille message:
- BEGIN FROM
- THE CENTRE.
- CREATE WHAT
- YOU SEEK.
- You have to form the H symbol for Regirock using the boulders, I'll include a screenshot of what you should end up with. You start by pushing that middle boulder of the 5 south boulders to the centre of the room and then get the remaining boulders into position. There's a sudden quake and the chamber to Regirock is opened.

- REGIROCK - The Rock Peak Pokémon
- Level: 50
- Type: Rock
- Ability: Clear Body
- Moves Known: Curse, Iron Defense, Hammer Arm, Stone Edge
- A big thank you to my friend Marko who checked out Youtube for the solution, I'm offline at the moment and was getting stumped by this puzzle because I didn't know how close or far the boulders were supposed to be from the centre. I figured out that you're meant to form the symbol after catching Regice and Registeel.
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
- [regic] REGICE
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
- Return to the Frozen Forest's southeast area where we battled that Burglar who had taken Alolan Ninetales. There's a frozen stream on upper right, slide along it to reach the Frozen Tomb.
- FROZEN TOMB
- -----------
- The Braille message up top says this:
- CRACK THE
- ICE. LEAVE
- PURE WHAT
- YOU SEEK.
- I'll take a screenshot of how the ice should look to solve this puzzle so please check that.

- REGICE - The Iceberg Pokémon
- Level: 50
- Type: Ice
- Ability: Clear Body
- Moves Known: Curse, Amnesia, Hammer Arm, Blizzard
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox
- [regis] REGISTEEL
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox
- The Island Cave we're going to is on the island just southwest from the Route 18 waterfall.
- ISLAND CAVE
- -----------
- On the north wall we find this message:
- NATURE MOLDS
- TO OUR WILL.
- TURN THE
- CRYSTALS TO
- WHAT YOU SEEK.
- The idea is to turn the crystals until they are all red. The colour change pattern is Blue -> Yellow -> Purple -> Red. The middle crystal changes colours for all the crystals. Please check the screenshots that I'll provide with the walkthrough for the following solution: after turning the outer crystals to the same colour (e.g. image 01), touch any one of those outer crystals until you get the middle crystal and the 3 opposite outer crystals to the same colour (e.g. image 02). Sticking with image 02, touch that upper right crystal until those 4 crystals turn purple then go for the middle crystal and make them all red.

- REGISTEEL - The Iron Pokémon
- Level: 50
- Type: Steel
- Ability: Clear Body
- Moves Known: Iron Defense, Amnesia, Hammer Arm, Heavy Slam
- I really liked the Regi's Battle theme during my old Ruby version adventure. It added to how mysterious and dangerous they looked.
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox
- [regig] REGIGIGAS
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox
- Leave only the Titans in your party (position them in the order of Regirock, Regice and Registeel), return to Icy Hole and awaken the original Titan. Be ready because Regigigas is at Lv100!
- =x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x

- REGIGIGAS - The Colossal Pokémon
- Level: 100
- Type: Normal
- Ability: Slow Start
- Moves Known: Heavy Slam, Hammer Arm, Giga Impact, Crush Grip
- For me the most surprising thing about Regigigas is that it's a Normal-type. I thought maybe it would be a Ground-type. A new Mission has been added to this update which is related to Regigigas: fly back to Tehl Town and speak to the Worker standing in the middle of town. He wants us to bring him Regigigas so he can make one more statue, this is Mission 56 Satue of Regi:
- >56 STATUE OF REGI
- ||||||||||||||||||
- Location: Tehl Town
- - A man needs inspiration for his final statue! Bring him the Pokémon that sleeps under Bellin Town.
- Add Regigigas to your party and talk to the Worker. He'll have that statue done in no time and as a reward he'll offer a service of upgrading Amulet Coins. The first upgrade is free, making any Amulet Coins that you have Lv3. For another upgrade the Worker charges 4 Big Nuggets.
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
- [celeb] CELEBI
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
- In Redwood Village add the Spiked Ear Pichu to your party and speak to the old man on the north side. Celebi will appear next to him after sensing its old friend in the party, catch it if you can.
- =x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=
- >>MYTHICAL BATTLE<<
- =x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=
- CELEBI - The Time Travel Pokémon
- Level: 65
- Type: Psychic/Grass
- Ability: Natural Cure
- Moves Known: Life Dew, Leech Seed, Recover, Future Sight
- Item Held: Lum Berry
- Can't think of Celebi without remembering how much I wanted to watch Pokémon 4Ever back in the day. The local video club didn't have it so it would be some years before I finally got to see the movie on TV. Only in the ROMhack universe have I encountered Celebi.
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
- [jira] JIRACHI
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
- Speak to the old man who lives in the western house in Crater Town. He tells us a brief story about how Jirachi and another Pokémon appeared here when the town was destroyed. The townspeople thought they could use Jirachi's wish power to restore the town but they ended up locking it away in the southeastern house. The old man goes out to unlock the house for us now that we're the Champion and warns us that Jirachi will battle us first once we wake it up. Prepare yourselves.
- =x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=
- >>DYNA MYTHICAL FIGHT<<
- =x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=
- JIRACHI - The Wish Pokémon
- Level: 70
- Type: Steel/Psychic
- Ability: Serene Grace
- Moves Known: Max Steelspike/Meteor Mash, Cosmic Power, Max Strike/Double-Edge, Max Mindstorm/Future Sight
- Item Held: Star Piece
- Unfortunately I don't live in Japan, Europe or America so even though I had a Gen 3 game at the time I missed out on getting Jirachi officially. Several years later I did get it, unofficially :) thanks to games like Adventure Red Chapter, Light Platinum, Glazed and Mega Power. Are there any good ROMhacks or fan-made games out there that you know of which have their story based around Jirachi?
- Return to the old man to confirm that we got Jirachi and we learn that it must be with us in order for the other Pokémon to appear. Once Jirachi is in the party go out to Route 5 and head east (going along the path which leads to the Hidden Grotto) all the way until we're in a portion of Route 13. A crater has been created by the arrival of that other Pokémon, in the upper left corner above the crater are Zygarde cells #55. There's a hidden Comet Shard in the crater, get it and then greet this visitor from out of space.

- [deox] DEOXYS - The DNA Pokémon
- [Normal Forme]
- Level: 85
- Type: Psychic
- Ability: Pressure
- Moves Known: Cosmic Power, Recover, Psycho Boost, Hyper Beam
- That old man will note that we've caught Deoxys and suggests we bring it to the meteorites that are in the middle of town. They are what allows Deoxys to change Formes. Just like Jirachi I missed out on Deoxys officially, this time it was because I didn't know about the Aurora Ticket and Birth Island until many years later. Unofficially I did eventually encounter it and officially that happened in Omega Ruby. The Regi's Battle theme was cool...then I heard the Deoxys Battle theme. Regi's Battle theme had to take a back seat xD.

- [shay] SHAYMIN
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
- We've proven ourselves in battle many times during our adventure so the Ace Trainer who guards the northern area of Flower Paradise lets us pass.

- =x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=
- SHAYMIN - The Gratitude Pokémon
- [Land Forme]
- Level: 30
- Type: Grass
- Ability: Natural Cure
- Moves Known: Growth, Magical Leaf, Leech Seed, Synthesis
- No official encounters with this one, the first time I saw it was in Pokémon Flora Sky (the Complement Dex version) where it was the main Mythical Pokémon. Have Shaymin in your party and speak to the Beauty in the main area of Flower Paradise, she'll see Shaymin and gift us with Gracidea. Changing between Formes for Shaymin is still not possible, perhaps in the next major update.

- [kyur] KYUREM

- KYUREM - The Boundary Pokémon
- Level: 80
- Type: Dragon/Ice
- Ability: Pressure
- Moves Known: Blizzard, Imprison, Outrage, Glaciate
- I enjoyed playing White version, it was really a breath of fresh air in terms of looks, a darker story and features like reusable TMs. But I didn't finish the sequel so no official Kyurem meeting. Will dive back into it someday. The DNA Splicers are currently unavailable for Unbound.
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox
- [volca] VOLCANION
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox
- We'll find it on an island on the south side of Cinder Volcano 2F. Be ready for a Dynamax Battle.

- =x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=
- VOLCANION - The Steam Pokémon
- Level: 80
- Type: Fire/Water
- Ability: Water Absorb
- Moves Known: Max Flare/Flare Blitz, Steam Pump, Hydro Pump, Haze
- A couple of major Trainers in Pokémon Mega Power had Volcanion in their teams but I didn't know it was such a special Pokémon at the time. Players could only obtain it via the Adventurers' Club passwords there.
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxox
- [melo] MELOETTA
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxox
- Get your dancing shoes on and head over to Polder Town at night, because the good news is we'll find Meloetta in the middle of town...but the bad news is in order to battle it we have to accept Meloetta's dance challenge. It involves pressing all the right keys in time as they move across the screen. This certainly brings back memories of the dancing mini games from GTA San Andreas haha. If you're having trouble clearing this just slow down your emulator, the challenge only lasts one round. Afterwards Meloetta acknowledges your skills and accepts your battle challenge.

- MELOETTA - The Melody Pokémon
- [Aria Forme]
- Level: 80
- Type: Normal/Psychic
- Ability: Serene Grace
- Moves Known: Psychic, Hyper Voice, Role Play, Close Combat
- Not much to say about this one because I'm not even sure now if I encountered it during my White version playthrough. Unbound is the second game in which I've obtained it unofficially, the first game was Resolute. Relic Song is taught by the Special Moves Tutor at the Battle Frontier.
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxox
- [arceus] ARCEUS
- xoxoxoxoxoxoxox
- We should have enough Sea Shells and Sea Salt at this point so if you want a Shell Bell return to Davy's Shipyard and speak to the male Scientist. Turns out you can get more each day from the seafloor. The female Scientist is now able to convert Shards into copies of the Creation Plates. If you found some while Diving, great, otherwise bring those Shards we've been finding around the region to this woman. Here is a list of how many Shards you'll need for each Plate:

- Once you've got all 17 Plates return to the Dream Lab. The Scientist by the bookshelves gives us 3 Dream Balls. Talk to the Scientist sitting near Hypno, he has finally created a way for someone to experience past memories. Thanks to the Plates his machine can take us to our worst nightmare. It is a world of nothingness, occupied by the Scientist in the form of a little boy and Darkrai. What the...? Speak to Darkrai, it'll just look at us then vanish and be replaced by a staircase. Climb it to the top and, well, meet your Pokémon's maker.

- ARCEUS - The Alpha Pokémon
- Level: 80
- Type: Normal
- Ability: Multitype
- Moves Known: Refresh, Future Sight, Recover, Hyper Beam
- My earliest memories of Arceus are from one of the previous hacks I played a while back, Pokémon Resolute. Had no idea about it during my Gen 4 adventure but after learning about it years later I like that it has a connection to the Ruins of Alph, which had been a fun little mystery for me for a while.
- Fly back to Seaport City and let's check out this Battleground place.
- BATTLEGROUND {Battle with the best in Borrius!}

- As soon as we enter we are met by the Gym Guide, it's been a while. Speak to him for information about the battle formats offered here. You'll find certain Gym Leaders here too who are ready for individual rematches, depending on what day it is today. Please see the Mission List document for the Battleground schedule. There's also a Picnicker, sitting next to a Victini (!) and she gives us Mission 25 Gimme a V:

- If today is Monday, Wednesday or Friday and if you return to the Battleground you'll find Véga. Despite how things went when we last saw him, we can't forget that he is still a certified Gym Leader xD so all that Cinder Volcano business has to go under the bridge. He's ready for a rematch if you are and after defeating him for the first time you'll get a Darkinium Z then a Dark Gem daily. The next day head back to the Crater Town Gym and speak to him, the game will give us a message saying that due to time constraints this meeting is happening here instead of elsewhere. In the previous version you would have to meet him on a Thursday at the Magnolia Café and according to the Changelog this meeting is going to be changed at some point after the post-game story is completed. Véga gives us the Red Orb and the Blue Orb, apparently Aklove wanted to test Hoopa's power against both Groudon and Kyogre but he only trained Hoopa against Kyogre. With Aklove gone now it's up to us to find the two Legendary Pokémon.
- For Groudon fly back to Cinder Volcano Shadow Base B2F and stand by the volcano. The Red Orb starts glowing and look who's awake again!
- =x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x
- >>LEGENDARY BATTLE<<
- =x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x
- GROUDON - The Continent Pokémon
- [Primal Form]
- Level: 70
- Type: Ground/Fire
- Ability: Drought/Desolate Land
- Moves: Hammer Arm, Fissure, Rest, Cliff Blades
- And for Kyogre fly back to Vivill Town, enter the Warehouse and Dive under the flooded lab. Once underwater, go to the bottom right corner to find TM110 Drain Kiss. Then go through the northern doorway, move to the upper right side of the next area and the Blue Orb starts glowing.
- =x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x
- >>LEGENDARY BATTLE<<
- =x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x
- KYGORE - The Sea Basin Pokémon
- [Primal Form]
- Level: 70
- Type: Water
- Ability: Drizzle/Primordial Sea
- Moves: Ice Beam, Sheer Cold, Aqua Ring, Water Pulse
- On Fridays return to the Magnolia Café, you'll find a Rich Boy seated outside between 8am and 1:59pm. Everything seems to be going well for him, he's got his trusty handkerchief and can't imagine life without it. But on Saturday the boy is gone and on the table is his Grubby Hanky, pick it up to trigger Mission 37 Lost Hanky:
- >37 LOST HANKY
- ||||||||||||||
- Location: Magnolia Town
- - A patron of the Magnolia Café has lost his handkerchief! Return it to him on Friday morning.
- Wait until Friday morning or (somehow) timeskip your way to the day and give him the handkerchief. He'll reward you with a Lycanium Z.
- [s.s.m] S.S. MARINE
- -------------------
- A whistle will blow 5 times to indicate that the ship has reached its destination. Like with any good ship, this one has Trainers occupying the passenger cabins that we can battle. One of those passengers just so happens to be quite the celebrity - Red! Items can't be used in those battles but if you defeat all of the Trainers before the ship completes its voyage you will receive a prize. The number of Trainers onboard changes from day to day. Be aware that talking to the Trainers after the battles and also talking to the non-Trainer passangers will cut into the voyage time, there's even one passenger who deliberately wastes more time with extended dialogue. Also, you will be asked by the main Sailor if you wish to turn over your Cube. Doing so will earn you five times the prizes. FIVE, by George!
- As soon as we board, the first cabin we'll see ahead of us belongs to the man in charge Captain Oppenheimer. Each time we board the ship he'll give us a Memory for Silvally. In that same cabin, behind the potted plant on the right are Zygarde cells #80, the last ones to be found in this update of the game. Outside the cabin you'll see two Sailors, one on the left and one on the right. The right side Sailor will tell you how many Trainers occupy the cabins with a specific door colour. The left side Sailor gives a hint about the number of Trainers in specific locations (port side a.k.a the left side of the ship and starboard a.k.a the right side of the ship).
- Next up we return to Seaport City and head north to finally check out the Borrius Battle Frontier.

- -bfbc- BATTLE CIRCUS - Fun for all ages!
- --------------------
- The Clown we find here can change Abilities. 100 BP for regular Abilities and 200 for Hidden Abilities. The Battle Circus offers Single, Double and Multi-Battle challenges which go on until you defeat the Circus Ringmaster or choose to rest. Before each battle the Ringmaster will activate a random effect which cannot be removed or overridden during the battle. The higher your streak becomes, the more intense the effects may become...and they can stack up too (e.g. battles in which all Pokémon are confused or can't be switched out or the negative emotions gimmick from Véga's Gym or the "Sea of Fire" effect which damages non-Fire-types each turn etc). If you decide you want to pause the challenge and continue later, your progress will be recorded until you come back to carry on. You will be disqualified if you leave the challenges without saving. Also note that you can't interrupt the challenges in the Multi Battle format. Just behind the Battle Circus is the Battle Sands area. Also note that random 3 vs 3 or 4 vs 4 battles are now similar to the Battle Factory, allowing you to either bring over Pokémon from your previous team or previous opponent's team after each battle. This resets after every 10th battle however. The Battle Tower has this same feature for its random 3 vs 3 or 4 vs 4 battles too.
- -bfbs- BATTLE SANDS - Let others use your Pokémon!
- -------------------
- Single and Double Battles take place here. 2 Pokémon are entered in the Single Battles and 3 for Double Battles. Not any Pokémon though, because when you make your first selection some will then become unavailable for choosing. The Pokémon will not be used by us but by someone else who will fight for us. Whatever BP that Trainer has won up to the point when you choose to retire will be yours. Each Pokémon in the battle will receive a random stat boost at the start. xD I like how the "volunteers" are characters we know that the organiser just spots and tells them that they've been chosen. The only negative I have about the Battle Sands is about the AI of the volunteer Trainers, it doesn't fully adapt to the opponent's Pokémon when it comes to moves used. So it's almost like flipping a coin and hoping they use a decent move each time.
- -bfbm- BATTLE MINE - Reach new depths!
- ------------------
- Special challenges happen here, they go on until you defeat the Mine Excavator or choose to rest. Each level in the mine is occupied by a Trainer and the further down you go settings like battle type, level, party size etc will be affected. The other settings are determined by the Battle Format you choose. Some Trainers may drop items after being defeated that you can collect. Progress will be recorded if you want to halt the challenge until next time.

The Nurse on the right says the feature there isn't available at the moment. The Battle Tower challenges go on until you defeat the Tower Tycoon or choose to rest. You can enter 3 or 6 Pokémon in the Single Battles format and 4 or 6 Pokémon in the Double Battle format. There are many Battle Rooms here, each occupied by a Trainer.
- We are finally going to see the fully mapped out Redwood Forest so prep up and let's go!
