- When I first started my life on my own I felt good about myself, I felt independent being on my own and I loved it. I had my own job my own money hell I even had a car. I could drink when I wanted and had my apartment to myself to just do whatever I wanted. One day I walked out to go to work and there was a letter taped to my door. The letter was signed "To:Dave From:Unknown" Ok I began to open the letter when I looked at my watch and noticed I was about to be late for work. I started to freak as I decided to take the letter with me. I ran to my car and headed to work.
- I came home later that night finally having the time to read the letter I open it as it read.
- "Dear Dave,
- We know you have a fear of closed doors we've been watching you. We're here to exploit this fear along with your need for money. We have a mansion consisting of 100 doors something horrifying behind 99 of them but behind on of them is one hundred thousand dollars. Do you dare take the risk or are you to afraid of the doors. If you wish to compete in our friendly little challenge then show up to the mansion at the top of sugar hill anytime with this letter in hand. Now be warned were not responsible for you making out alive.
- Yours truly
- We."
- I thought to myself what in the hell did I just read. Is this real and should I try it? These questions ran through my mind all night and even when I woke up it was the first thing on my mind. I got in the shower and got ready for work driving down the road I was thinking to myself what a hundred thousand dollars could do for me but what if It killed me. I shook the thought until I got to work the guy that lived across from me was talking about how he had to go to the same mansion a few weeks before and that it wasn't that bad and that he had won a smaller amount of money around five hundred dollars.
- I asked him about it and he said all it was was a bunch of old Kmart Halloween props. I figured I'd give it a shot. I asked for a day or two off tomorrow and the next day. My boss cleared me for it and I prepared for it I was walking past the man that had won the five hundred dollars and he looked at me smiling big and somewhat sadistic saying "Have fun"
- I woke up the next morning readying myself for the trip. I grabbed my phone, lighter, knife and pocket bible. I wouldn't have been so paranoid to bring a bible if it wasn't for the creepy man telling me have fun and that I might not make it out. I got to the mansion showing the letter to the man who answered the door as he smiled and waved my access to the mansion. A man stood atop a stair case wearing the cliche rich guy robe. He looked down smiling at me a very eerie smile.
- "Well hello Dave WE have been waiting." He said followed by an odd chuckle.
- I simply smiled at the man.
- "Hello sir thank you for the opportunity I believe I'll make it out alright." I said with a hint of confidence.
- "Don't get so ahead of yourself you arrogant little shit!" the man said with a deeper more demonic voice.
- "I'm sorry sir, I didn't mean to offend I just lose it sometimes." the man said in his normal voice.
- I looked up in awe shocked at the sudden change the man made. Thinking to myself if hes just the owner imagine whats behind these doors. I shook the fear off knowing that I had to keep this confident stride about myself.
- "Its quite alright sir like I said I'm not scared." I said with more confidence in my voice.
- He looked at me as if my confidence had pissed him off. "Oh, well" I thought to myself. Maybe it's because he wants to psych me out because it's not gonna be that scary. I smiled and thought huh this is going to be an easy hundred thousand.
- I smiled as a man came to me and told me where the doors started. He pointed me to one door and said "Behind this door lies a hundred more. Filled with money yet dread choose your doors correctly or you might end up dead." i pulled out a five dollar bill and handed it to the man smiling I told him.
- "That's a cute little poem sir but you're not scaring me away from this." I smiled and opened the door.
- I looked around and there were so many doors and one of them had one hundred thousand dollars behind it. There was a sign with an arrow on it pointing to the right side of the room that said "Riches" I simply took it as a sign to stick to the right side. I opened the first door to just see what looked like a nursery that looked burnt up as if there was a fire there at one point. I freaked out a little not showing it on the outside though. I knew there were cameras in that room of rooms although they were well hidden.
- I continued through about maybe thirty more rooms and honestly laughed at some of the things they threw out nothing but a bunch of jump scares. Honestly after a few more doors I opened door thirty four and to my surprise it was something so horrific I couldn't stand the sight of it. It was a girl seventeen maybe eighteen years of age.
- She was ....she was tied to a crucifix bleeding from all over as the crucifix was set a blaze. The screamed in agony as I closed the door there was no screams outside the door. I knew I should have helped her but I figured it was some sort of prop. I continued down the hall opening more doors and even though it wasn't nearly as scary they weren't decorations from the clearance bin at Kmart. They weren't anything like the horrible image of that girl being set on fire and the fact that the fire just spawned from no where sent chills down my spine.
- I made it to room fifty and as I opened the door it was the same as room thirty four but closer to the door and a louder scream. I got to look that poor girl in the eyes as her skin dripped melting off her bone I slammed the door. I turned over to my side and puked. The vivid detail in her face made it seem as if there were a chance it were real. I shook it off one more time and started the left side from number fifty it wasn't bad a little scary being that it was a hockey masked serial killer jumping out at me yeah it made me jump but it wasn't disturbing.
- The image stayed burned in my head as all of the jump scares started getting worse in my head I stumbled across room seventy eight a room with a pillar in the center with a brief case on it. I walked in the room and grabbed my brief case. I ran out of the room slamming the door behind me I fell to my knees hugging it I had finally gotten what I came for.
- I opened the door that lead back to the main entrance and as I opened the door I saw it again face to face with me. The girl had been charred by this point but the fire was out she had a note nailed to her chest. I grabbed it from her and slammed the door.
- The letter read
- "Dear Dave,
- Money got the best of you I see this girl was real. It's to late for her now but that doesn't mean she can't haunt you. Her soul was trapped in this room and now she will forever trap you in this room every time you find yourself close to an exit she'll be on the other side watching and waiting. Just know that you got your money and there's still a way out reopen the door to the main entrance and walk through until you find the hidden door. this is the final step if you fail to complete you lose everything and you will be the next one bound to that crucifix.
- You don't have much time before the room you need to find the exit in catches fire and leaves you burnt just like that poor girl you were to greedy to save. Good luck
- Yours truly
- WE"
- I thought to myself what the fuck did I just read. I walked back to the door and opened it cautiously. There was no girl in there just a clean room with no other doors. I walked in and closed the door as I turned around to close the door there was no door there. I looked around in a panic not knowing what to do.
- I felt weak and as if I were doomed. I saw a small hole in the floor big enough for one hand it fit in. I reached down and started pulling up floor boards hoping to find my way out. I got two floorboards out and saw what looked like a cellar below me so I tore out enough to where I could fit and started looking for a light. I forgot I had my phone so I turned on my flashlight app. It was a dreary little room with cobwebs and dust and I saw a staircase in the far off corner.
- I began walking as my phones light started flickering and there was a door to my right that kept shaking. I slowly reached for the doorknob and as I touched it the door flew open to the girl from the room jumping out at me. She grabbed me pinning my arms down I begged and pleaded I asked what she wanted and she got close to my ear and whispered one word.
- "Salvation." She said in a whispered hushed tone I had enough space to reach for my pocket bible I got it out and started reading verses to her to calm her down. She slowly stood up and put her hand out I asked her why she was stuck here.
- The answer I got was unexpected.
- "I'm here because I used to do housekeeping for the mansion and all of it's inhabitants. When I first started everyone seemed normal but then things started getting weird.I walked into the wrong room at the wrong time one day I suppose. They were discussing some ritual to keep Lucifer happy so he would keep feeding them success. They needed a virgin girl to be tied to a crucifix and lit on fire while they hummed the ancient chants. They don't put the chants in the rooms they make me haunt because they don't want anyone to find there secret to success.
- They Kept chanting it to where they had it burned into my head. I was just there fucking toy there object of torture. I was tired of it they've managed to keep me alive and rewrapped in the skin of the people who didn't make it out. You you are of a special kind. I want you to help me ......by killing me you can end all of this by killing me."
- I looked at her in awe and nodded my head at her. I pulled out my knife and stabbed her in the heart. She grabbed my face and kissed me as the life slowly flowed back into her body reviving her youthful skin bringing her life back to her. I placed my bible in her hands. I closed her eyes for her as I wished her a goodnight.
- I grabbed my briefcase and started walking towards the stairs as the building began to shake I walked up the stairs and saw a group of men standing in the center room all facing me.
- "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO?" Said the man who greeted me from the top of the stairs when I first entered the room.
- "I ended this sick fucked up ritual you've been doing, I ended that poor girls suffering and now I'm going to leave this is over." I said as I began walking to the door.
- "No you're not you son of a bitch I'll have your soul for dinner. do you understand me I will end your useless life you empathetic fuck I will kil......" His sentence was cut short by the girl. She had managed the strength to find her way behind him thrusting the knife deep into his throat. The house started shaking more violently.
- "Go!" she screamed I'm already dead there's no saving me more than you have...."
- I made sure I had my brief case and ran out the door. I got in my car driving down the hill. I looked back in my review mirror and saw the mansion crumble. I arrived at my apartment and saw another letter on my door.
- "Dear Dave
- WE, see that you've made it out but it's not over yet the nightmares will soon consume you as you slowly drive into madness. But unlike the trip you wont make it out alive. As long as you remember us you'll die a little more inside knowing what you've seen can not be unseen. Just know that WE are watching.
- Yours truly
- WE.
