Tornados
The main danger is flying objects. It's not the tornado itself that kills you, it's the stuff it throws around.

You want to get inside, into a basement or bathroom and away from windows. In a bathtub with a mattress covering you is good.

If you're stuck outside, go to a low place, but not near a stream bed or gully. Lie face down and protect your neck.

Lightning - Get inside. If outside, stay out of open areas. Make yourself as small a target as possible. Stay away from water and metal.

Floods - Get to high ground, stay away from streams, gullies, ditches, etc.
