- >You awaken, your left side crying out in agony.
- >Rolling in the dirt, you clutch your ribs, screaming for either death or help, which ever comes first.
- >After a bit, the massive pain ebbs down to a bad cramp, allowing you to concentrate on your surroundings.
- >You're on a dirt road in on the edge of a quaint forest, the sun shining happily down upon you.
- >Looking yourself over, you see that you're wearing an olive drab uniform that's caked in dried mud.
- >You smell of sweat and ash, with a pistol sidearm strapped to your side.
- >You wobble as you stand up, your head feeling as though its spinning like a top.
- >Regaining your equilibrium, you notice a rifle and helmet laying on the road nearby where you awoke.
- >The rifle is an M1 Garand, covered in almost as much mud as yourself.
- >You retrieve the rifle, sling it over your shoulder, and take one more look around.
- >With the forest to your back, you look out upon a vast, field.
- >The dirt road stretched to your right and to your left.
- >Taking a deep breath, you turn to your right and start walking down the road, hoping that you're heading in the right direction.
- >Walking down the road gave you some time to think.
- >The last thing that you remember is that there was a massive war, and you were a soldier.
- >United States 2nd Ranger Battalion
- >You were from Massachusetts, and your family ran a small hardware shop.
- >Your name is Corporal...
- >Corporal...
- "Corporal, watch your left!"
- >What was your name?
- >Suddenly, on the horizon, you noticed an approaching figure.
- >Not taking any chances, you equip your rifle and dash into the forest, waiting for the target to pass by.
- >The approaching target is a large wagon being pulled by a small horse.
- >This must be a dream.
- >The horse was a light blue with a frosty white mane.
- >It's facial features were closer to human than horse, and it sported a horn atop its head.
- >You must be fucking dreaming.
- >The blue horse was whistling a slightly catching tune as it began to pass by, not noticing you in the woods.
- >Lowering your rifle, you decide to take a chance and interact with this creature.
- >After all, you're dreaming, what's the worse that could possibly happen?
- >Walking out of the woods, you have your left hand in the air, your rifle still in your right.
- "Hello there!" You shout.
- >The horse stopped, stunned upon seeing you come out of the wood work.
- >"Who are you?" It shouted back.
- >Eeyup, you're dreaming alright.
- >"Answer me!" The horse demanded.
- >She was quite demanding, to be sure.
- "I'm a corporal in the United States Army Rangers Battalion."
- >You can't believe that you're talking to a horse.
- >"I did not ask for your title," The horse was not happy, "I asked for your name!"
- "I don't remember my name. I just kinda woke up in the middle of the road."
- >The horse slipped out of the reigns of the wagon and approached you.
- >She stood at a good four feet, too small to be a horse, a pony perhaps.
- >"Well, if that's the case, my anonymous amnesiac, I am the Great and Powerful Trixie."
- "I've never heard of you."
- >Her expression seemed to insist that she did not like to hear that.
- "Look, uh, Trixie, I just need a ride to the nearest town. I don't want my squad to think I've gone AWOL."
- >"If you would like a ride to Ponyville, then it's going to cost you."
- "Fine, whatever."
- >Where?
- "Wait, what's Ponyville? Is that French?"
- >Trixie looked at you as though you had just spoken another language.
- >"Where do you think you are?"
- "We will be landing on this beech head."
- "Am I in Germany?"
- >"You're nowhere near Germaneigh, you're in Equestria."
- >What? Where?
- >This has to be a dream. That's the only logical explanation as to why you're in a made up country with a talking unicorn.
- >"You look confused."
- "You're god damn right I'm confused! I'm talking to a blue horse in the middle of buttfuck nowhere!"
- >"Trixie is not some ugly horse! I am a pony!" You've offended her again.
- >You throw your gun to the ground, turning your back on Trixie and screaming to the sky
- "I can wake up any time now!"
- >"Here, let Trixie help."
- >You feel Trixie buck you in the back, knocking you to the ground.
- "Sniper! Get down!"
- >The horse is real.
- >The dirt is real.
- >The conversation is real.
- >The pain is real.
- >This is no dream.
- >It's a nightmare.
- >You layer there in the dirt, wondering what's happening to you.
- "I'm in an imaginary place, talking to a blue horse." You mutter to yourself.
- >Is this insanity?
- >For a moment, you contemplate reaching for your side arm, putting the barrel in your mouth, and pulling the trigger.
- ~You're a Ranger, boy!
- >But you don't.
- >This is a new land, no doubt filled with magical wonders. And you're probably the only human here.
- >Rangers lead the way.
- >If the Army somehow finds a you, and brings you back home, you don't want it to be in a casket.
- ~You're a Ranger, boy!
- >You pick yourself up and look to Trixie.
- "I'm sorry ma'am," You tell her, "if I've offended you. This is all a bit of a shock to me."
- >The blue mare raised an eyebrow.
- >"Where are you from then? What are you doing here?"
- "I'm from Springfield, Massachusetts, in the United States of America. As to why I'm here," You scratch the back of your head, "Well, I don't right know. I told you, I just kinda woke up here."
- >"I have no idea where that is, and I know a lot of places outside of Equestria."
- "Do you know Britain? Russia? Japan? Europe?"
- >Trixie shook her head.
- >"You did mention Germaneigh..."
- "I said Germany, not Germanay."
- >"Is there a difference?"
- "Yes, one is ruled by Adolf Hitler and is rampaging across Europe. The other is a fucking horse pun."
- >"I believe that were talking about two completely different places."
- >Great. With no concise point of reference for location, you'd need a map to really know where you are.
- "Is there a map or a library or something in this, Ponyville?"
- >"Yes, but Trixie isn't going to just give you a free ride."
- "How much?"
- >"Fifty bits."
- "How much is that in American money?"
- >"I take bits."
- "I don't have bits."
- >She smiled like a banker who just signed a person into a life of debt.
- >"Then it looks like we're going to have to come to a different arrangement, no?"
- "What do you have in mind?"
- >"How about assisting me in my next show?"
- "What kind of show?"
- >"Magic."
- >You hate magic.
- >You sat in the back of Trixie's wagon, looking around at the various knick-knacks inside.
- >There were various posters for The Great and Powerful Trixie, depicting the pulling the wagon as a powerful sorcerer with a matching hat and cape.
- >Hanging in the corner was the wizard hat and cape, decorated with stars and crescent moons.
- >You say stop a single bed, freshly made with blue sheets and soft pillows.
- >The wagon stopped moving, and Trixie came through the back door.
- >"It's getting dark, so we're camping here for the night."
- >You walked out of the wagon as she walked in to look for something.
- >You surveyed the sunset, the sky painted pink, orange and yellow.
- >A bar of soap hits your back.
- >"Go to the stream and don't come back until you're clean!" Trixie shouted out to you. "I will not perform with some dirty ape!"
- >A small stream ran by the road, just deep enough to serve as an adequate bath tub.
- >You strip down and sit in the slightly chilly water. You rinse and scrub at the dirt on your skin and head.
- >You hear Trixie approaching as you sit on the stream, relaxing as you let the water run over you.
- >"I broughth you a towel." She said, a blue towel in her teeth.
- "Thanks."
- >You take the towel, stand up, and begin drying yourself off, starting with your hair.
- >Trixie's face began to flush with red.
- >"Yes, well, um, I'll just, uh, leave you alone."
- >The mare rolled her eyes away from you, trying not to look.
- >"And, er, don't forget your, uh clothes. Cleaning them I mean."
- >She trotted back to the wagon. You couldn't help but chuckle at her embarrassment.
- >Sitting by the fire, You have your entire Garand rifle stripped and cleaned of any mid and dirt, neatly organized on the you weapon cleaning kit was contained in.
- >Trixie lay across from you on the other side of the fire, sound asleep.
- >It was almost... Cute.
- >You decide to do an ammo count, searching your combat uniform's pockets for cartridges and grenades.
- >Five en bloc clips for your Garand, four magazines for your M1911 sidearm, and a smoke grenade.
- >And a single, slightly stained, folded piece of paper.
- >Curious, you open it up, and notice that it's a letter.
- ~"Please... Give it to..."
- >You recognize that it's not written by you, but by someone else.
- ~Dear Father,
- If you are reading this, then I am dead. Please thank the man who gave you this letter, as he came a long way to give it to you.
- With God as my witness, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything I've said and done to you. I'm sorry I ran away to join the army. I'm sorry that I was an stupid fucking kid that couldn't see that you were trying to protect me all those years. Maybe if I had listened to you, I'd be a doctor, or a lawyer. But instead, I'm getting shot at while shitting in a hole.
- But father, try to understand that I'm doing our people right. Our people are in trouble here, and I just can't sit at home and let them suffer and die at the claws of these beasts.
- Father, I hope you get this letter. I want to tell you what I should have told you long ago.
- I love you dad.
- Your son, Peter Wacowski.
- >Peter Wacowski.
- >Private Peter Wacowski.
- >He was a good friend.
- >And from your possession of this letter, he was also dead.
- >When had this happened?
- >You couldn't remember.
- >And somehow, that hurt more than any wound.
- >You sat just behind the curtain of Trixie's show, astonished at how her little wagon turned into a big stage.
- >From the sounds of it, the crowd outside wasn't overly impressed with her.
- >Your job was to wait until Trixie gave you the signal. She'd summon you out onto the stage and you'd pretend to be a rabid beast.
- >Then she would "do battle" with you and win, saving the town.
- >If you ever found your way back home, you would not be telling your squad about this.
- >"And now, Trixie shall summon a wild beast from thin air!"
- >Well, there's your-
- >In a flash, you were out on the stage in front of the crowd.
- >About fifty colorful ponies stared back at you, astonished to see you appear out of no where.
- >Honestly, you were just as surprised as they were.
- >But, it's your time to shine now.
- >You raise your hands and let out a roar. The crowd jumped, afraid.
- >"Worry not, hapless citizens, for Trixie shall vanquish this monster!"
- >You turned to Trixie and charged.
- >The horn on her head flashed and she disappeared.
- >You looked around yourself like a maddened beast, no idea how she did that.
- >"Over here monster!" Trixie shouted from behind the crowd.
- >The gathering split, allowing you a clear line of sight.
- >A beam of light burst from her horn and hit you.
- >It didn't hurt, but for entertainment's sake, you fell to your knees as though she had dealt a fatal blow.
- >Letting out a final howl, you fell to your side.
- >The crowd cheered.
- >"Please, don't just thank Trixie," She said, walking back up to the stage, "thank her wonderful assistant, the Anonymous Amnesiac, but you can call him Anon!"
- >Corporal Anon.
- >Trixie walked with you to the library, to make sure that you don't get lost.
- >Ponyville looked like a European village, one of many that you'd fought the Germans in for years.
- >The library was a tree.
- >A fucking tree.
- >Trixie walked up and knocked on the.
- >"I'm not on good terms with the, uh, owner."
- >The door opened, a purple pony with a horn and wings inside.
- >"Spike told me about your show."
- >"Then you heard about Anon then."
- >"What do you want Trixie."
- "I want to see a couple books or a map." You said. "I want to know where I am."
- >"Oh! Of course!" The purple pony said, "Come right in!"
- >Both you and Trixie entered, looking around the library.
- >The entire tree was hollowed out, and was lined almost to the roof with books.
- >Purple pony flew, somehow, up to a section of one of the shelves, looking for geography books.
- >You concentrated on a globe off to the side.
- "Is this thing right?"
- >"Very!" Purple shouted. "I received it straight from Princess Celestia herself!"
- "It's not the same one I know."
- >She flew up to, looking you in the eyes. "Where are you from?"
- "The United States of America."
- >"Im sorry Anon, but there is no place in this world that I know of that goes by that name." Purple put a sympathy good on your shoulder.
- >"Then how did he get here?" Trixie asked.
- >"I don't know." Purple looked around. "SPIKE!"
- >A small purple lizard thing came running out from another room.
- >"What is it Twilight?"
- >"Spike, take a letter. Dear Princess Celestia..."
- >As she dictated her letter, You walked over to Trixie.
- >"If you'd like, I would be able to care for you until we find a way to send you home." She said.
- "What's the catch?" You ask.
- >"You become a part of Trixie's show of course." She smiled at you. "That was the best show Trixie has done in a long time!"
- >The purple lizard spit a lick of green flame at the letter, burning it.
- >"And sent!"
- >What kind of fucking place is this.
- >There was a loud crashing sound outside.
- >"What was that?" The purple pony, Twilight, shouted.
- >Running outside, you saw a horrible beast tearing down a house.
- >It was an over sized black bear, it's fur unkempt and blacker than night.
- >A pony sent a beam at it, but it shrugged the attack off with no problem.
- >Trixie and Twilight joined in the attack, but to no avail.
- ~The Tiger tank rolled forward, unshaded by the attempts at taking it down.
- ~"Corporal, Wacowski, put some charges in the tracks!" The Captain shouted to you. "We'll cover you!"
- ~"Let's go!" Peter said, flanking to the right.
- ~You went to the left, the two Kraut guards mowed down by machine gun fire.
- >You calmly kneel and equip your Garand.
- >You aim down the iron sights at where you estimated where the beasts heart was.
- ~You stick a charge to the Tiger's track wheel, set the timer and run.
- >You pull the trigger, your shit hitting home.
- >The beast turns towards you, and charged.
- ~The charge explodes, destroying the Tigers tracks. You run up and climb on top of the Tiger.
- ~Wacowski joins you, prying open the hatch as you toss a grenade inside.
- >You calmly take aim at the charging monsters face.
- >You pull the trigger.
- >The beast fell, it's left eye blown out.
- >It's body fell to the ground, it's momentum causing it to slide forward, coming to a stop in front of You.
- >You stand, keeping your rifle trained on its face.
- >"Anon," Twilight shouted, "What did you do?"
- "I stopped it." You said, slinging your rifle over your shoulder.
- >"But, you..."
- "It was a threat to the civilian populace."
- >"But,"
- >You walked over to Twilight.
- "I am a soldier. I'm trained to protect civilians by any means possible." You point to the beast. "From what I saw, I did a much better job at stopping that thing than you were."
- >Trixie stopped forward. "But how?"
- "The way I was trained to do; with my rifle."
- >Twilight cocked her head in confusion. "You keep saying that you're trained to do this. Why? What kind of place are you from that requires you to take lives on a whim?"
- >The little purple lizard ran out, waving a piece of paper. "Twilight, Princess Celestia wants to see you and Anon in Canterlot right away!"
- >"I request to come as well!" Trixie stepped forward. "After all, Anon will be staying with me."
- >Oh good, you're her servant now. Might as well paint your face black and call yourself a nigger.
- >Looking around, you noticed a crowd forming, curious as to not only the attacking beast, but the fiery "thunder stick" of metal and wood that defeated it.
- >One minute, you were a barbaric monster in an entertainment show; the next minute, you're a cold blooded here.
- "Listen, I'll go, but I won't answer any questions your princess has until she answers mine."
- >Like how did you get her, why, and how you will go about getting back home.
- >But most importantly, you want to know about the funny little collar that the beast has.
- >The collar with a single little tag hanging from it.
- >Imprinted on that tag was a symbol that you had seen numerous times across Europe.
- >The symbol that was no more than a few simple black lines on a white circle.
- >The symbol of evil, hatred, and prejudice.
- >The symbol of the Nazi party.
- >The Swastica.
- >You looked out the window of the train, watching the landscape change as you passed through.
- >You were on your way to Canterlot to visit Princess Celestia and hopefully get some answers as to what is going on with you.
- >It was night, and the train was mostly unoccupied, Trixie and Twilight.
- >Twilight was sat in the front of the car reading a book and Trixie lay fast asleep in the seat across from you.
- >"Anon," Well, she was fast asleep, "I couldn't help but wonder about what Twilight said. What is the place that you're from like?"
- > Should you tell her about the war?
- >About the death camps?
- >About watching your friends get mowed down by machine gun fire at Normandy?
- "What do you want to hear?"
- >"You said that you're a soldier."
- "There're a lot of soldiers."
- >"But they're not here. I want to hear about you."
- "Well, I'm a Ranger. A division of the U.S. Army. We're given better training than your average soldier."
- >"You were at war, yes? Against who?"
- "We were at war with two empires; Japan and Germany. I was on the German front."
- >"Why."
- "December 7, 1941."
- >"I don't follow."
- >You slide closer to Trixie, angry at her question, forgetting that she wasn't there.
- "A bunch of fucking Japs fly in and blow up the majority of a neutral nations harbor, killing fucking civilians and soldiers alike. It's shit like that that leads to war, and that's exactly what it fucking did. A bunch of yellow fucks..."
- >You stop, realizing that you've managed to frighten Trixie.
- >You go back to looking out the window.
- >"For what it's worth," Trixie said, laying back down to sleep, "I am sorry for what happened."
- >You glanced back at her.
- "You have no idea." You whisper.
- >It was still night by the time that you arrived in what you assumed was Canterlot.
- >It was what you had always imagined a medieval city would look like, but less shitty.
- >It was bathed in white and purple, colors of purity and royalty.
- >Somehow you got the feeling that you would not be able to afford to live here.
- >Waiting for you at the station was a group of four ponys, adorned in golden armor.
- >They saluted Twilight, ignored Trixie, and surrounded you.
- >The one with a horn spoke up. "Hand over the weapon."
- "Excuse me?" You raise an eyebrow, clutching the strap on your holstered weapon.
- >"Princess Twilight informed Princess Celestia of your thunder stick, so by order of Canterlot Royal..."
- "You're not taking my gun."
- >"Anon, please," Trixie requested, "let's not make a scene."
- >"Would you meet your leaders like this?" Twilight asked.
- >You grudgingly hold out your Garand for the soldier ponies.
- >The unicorn's horn glowed, and a similar colored glow surrounded your rifle, pulling it from your hand.
- "What the fuck..."
- >"Its magic Anon." Trixie said. "Tell me you've never seen it before, after all, how else could you made that thunderstick."
- >You suddenly found yourself at a disadvantage in a world where magic was not only prevalent, but the norm for its citizens.
- >And you?
- >You were nothing but an intruder in this strange land.
- >Princess Celestia was much different than any of the other ponies you've met so far.
- >She had both wings and a horn, like Twilight, but she was much taller, like an actual horse.
- >She was a brilliant white, with flowing mane and tail.
- >She also wore a beautiful golden crown and chest piece.
- >This wasn't a princess, this was a queen.
- >"So this is our new visitor." She said, warm and welcome like the sun, "Tell me, how are yo liking it here."
- "No offense ma'am, but I'd like to be back at home."
- >"Understandable." She looked at you, almost like she was reading you. "You seem like you have a question."
- "I do." You hold out the medallion that you found on the beast. "Why is this here."
- >She used magic to levitate it from your hand to in front of her face.
- >"I've seen this before..." She said, looking it over.
- "How the hell have you seen it before?"
- >"Anon, watch your tone!" Twilight said.
- >"These have been popping up in the past couple days. I presume that your appearance might be connected."
- "There's more?"
- >One was weird enough, but more than one meant that there was a lot more going on than you might have be able to handle.
- >It could be a coincidence, or it could be a full scale invasion.
- >"It appears that the symbol was added after the medallion was created."
- >"What does that mean?" Trixie asked.
- >"The medallion was created to corrupt beasts with dark magic, the symbol is just a signature on the work."
- "But who is signing all this magical crap with a Swastica?"
- >"We only know as much as you do."
- >None of this made any sense.
- >"Twilight, I want you to head back to Ponyville, get your friends and investigate the Everfree Forest."
- >Celestia turned to you. "You and Trixie, head to Apploosa. One of the beasts was there."
- >"But Princess..." Twilight protested.
- >"These two could do a lot for each other, Twilight. I'm sure of it."
- >What was that supposed to mean?
- >Then again, traveling around with magical pony didn't seem that bad.
- >From what you had gathered, Apploosa was a frontier town, built in a year solely by apple farming "earth" ponies.
- >No magic, no flying.
- >What was left of the dusty old town was a few wooden buildings, torn apart form an attack.
- >Another beast lay sprawled out in the center of the town, torn apart and beaten using primitive means.
- >It was also covered in pies.
- >The one that you assumed was in charge, Braeburn, wore a cowboy hat and a tanned leather vest.
- >"This ole buffalo charged inta town late yesterday mornin." He explained. "Tore the town up. Pies ain't done nothin, so we had ta... Improvise."
- >"But I thought that you were at peace with the buffalo." Trixie questioned.
- >"They're in the same boat as us. They tried to run ahead and warn us, but he was too fast."
- "Do you know why it did this?"
- >"I don't rightly know, but," Braeburn pulled a small medallion out of the pocket in his vest, "I found this on his collar."
- >It was the same medallion you had in your pocket.
- ~"Bloody animals. All of them."
- >"Do the buffalo have any information?" Trixie asked.
- >"They said that their some of there own have gone missing up in the mountains."
- "Well, we'll go there."
- >"We best be careful, if the buffalo are worried..."
- >You ignored her and started marching towards the mountains, taking a swig from your canteen.
- "Rangers lead the way." You whisper.
- >Once again, you found yourself alone at a campfire with Trixie.
- >Looking out at the desert from your perch in the mountains, you couldn't help but think of how peaceful this place really is.
- >No cities, no cars, no planes.
- >Just towns and nature.
- >Even the cities that you've seen fit into the world around them, as they grew to be a part of it, rather than separate themselves from the world.
- >But most importantly, there wasn't any war.
- >You looked over at Trixie as she slept, her hooves tucked under her chin like a cat.
- >She was using her purple cape like a blanket, her hat resting next to her.
- >You had to admit, it was pretty cute.
- >Which made the next part of your plan even harder.
- >You got up, picked up your rifle, and walked away, leaving her all alone in by the fire.
- >You hid behind a nearby rock, keeping Trixie and the fire in sight.
- >And you waited.
- >And waited.
- >And waited.
- >After an hour, a couple creatures resembling dogs snuck into the light of the fire.
- >There was three of them, and they surrounded Trixie in her sleep.
- >As silently as you could, you equipped your rifle, ready to spring into action.
- >In a flash, they swept her up in a sack.
- >She woke up immediately, kicking and cursing them.
- >Throwing the squirming sack over its shoulder, the dogs ran off into the night.
- >You gave chase, being sure to stay out of sight.
- >Whatever they were, they weren't fast, and you had to struggle to stay behind them.
- >Soon, the chase led you to a mineshaft in the mountains.
- >Carefully, you followed them down, making sure that you weren't being flanked.
- >Eventually you found a massive room filled with the cages and dogs.
- >Inside the cages were various creatures, from ponies to buffalo.
- >But in the center of the room, was a unicorn pony wearing a sharp, black uniform accompanied by a familiar red armband on the left foreleg.
- >Hiding behind some boxes, you rethought your plan to save Trixie and the others.
- >"Careful with her, the Kommandant will want the Unicorn."
- >Kommandant?
- >If what you were thinking was correct, then you needed to get Trixie and the other prisoners out of here.
- >You knew that you were outnumbered, but you also knew that a lot of lives were at stake.
- >You knew what you had to do.
- ~The German sniper was on the third floor of the building up ahead.
- ~You jumped into the burned out house your squad was pinned down behind, climbing up to the second floor.
- ~Slowly you crawl up to the window, giving you a safe shot.
- ~Private Smith ran out, distracting the sniper.
- >You climbed out from behind your cover of boxes, taking aim at the uniformed pony.
- ~You only had one shot.
- >You only have one shot.
- ~You pulled the trigger
- >You pull the trigger.
- ~The sniper falls, his helmet flying up.
- >The pony spins, his rear end hit.
- >The dogs scattered, scared of the loud noise. You fired a couple of shots off after them, just to be sure.
- ~"Everyone move up!"
- >You approach the uniformed pony, blood seeping from his wound and soaking his uniform.
- >"Wh-Who..." He stammered, in shock from the wound.
- "Who the fuck are you?"
- >"Unterführer C-Coal Dust."
- "Where did you get this uniform."
- >He didn't answer.
- >You drew your sidearm and put him out of his misery.
- >You began the long process of freeing the captives by first letting Trixie go.
- >"I could have escaped on my own." She said, trying to downplay your rescue. "You're just lucky that Diamond Dogs don't like loud noises."
- "You're lucky that they only abducted you."
- >Trixie raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean."
- "Well, they could have killed you. But knowing them, that's too easy. And it sounded like they really liked you."
- >Trixie's eyes widened as her mind went to dark places.
- >Both yourself and Trixie freed the rest of the prisoners, most of which were starving or sick.
- >But before leaving, you searched the SS pony's pockets for anything that might help.
- >There was a letter from a place called Manehatten, complete with a full address and name of the recipient.
- >You sat in a Manehattan cafe with Trixie, sipping on a cup of coffee.
- >The address you were looking for les you to a building that recently caught fire, the specific apartment being the source of the fire.
- >"What a coincidence." Trixie had said.
- >And now you were out of luck.
- >In a city filled with ponies, whoever you were after could be anywhere, and see you coming from a mile away.
- >So you decided to take a break from following the trail and enjoy the rest of the.
- >"I always loved Manehattan at night." Trixie said. "All the lights, it's like a never ending fireworks show."
- "Had a city like this back home, called New York. I always wanted to visit it."
- >"Well, we can take a look at the sites, and probably search for any clues." Trixie suggested.
- >It sounded like an excuse, but you needed to relax anyway.
- >You and Trixie walked through the big city admiring the sights.
- >You were amazed at how little the ponies around you cared at how different you looked.
- >But in a world of magic and talking animals, strange was probably expected.
- >"Stop." Someone shouted out to you.
- >It was one of those armored guard ponies from Canterlot.
- >"This is a letter from Princess Celestia." He said, pulling a letter out of a bag on his side.
- >It stated that you were on a royal mission from the Princess herself, and that any expenses were to be covered by the Royal treasury.
- >You were just given a free pass to buy whatever you wanted on the Princess dime.
- >"The Princess trusts that you'll use this wisely." And he flew away.
- >"Do you know what this means Anon?" Trixie asked.
- "Everything is free from here on out?"
- >"Not just that," She said, "We're now Royal agents!"
- "I don't follow."
- >"The Princess has entrusted us with a super important mission!" She was almost jumping in glee. "Few ponies have this kind of opportunity!"
- >It sounded like you were a member of the pony version of the FBI.
- >But you had Royal authority backing you, and you didn't want to waste it trivial expenses.
- "Where do we start first then?"
- >"Why, only at the grandest of hotels!"
- >You know, the important things.
- >For a bunch of ponies, they sure knew how to make a room comfortable.
- >You and Trixie decided to get a large suite, that way in case someone tried something, it would be easier to stick together.
- >Not to mention, it was much better than sleeping in mats and trains.
- >Looking out the large window in the room, you couldn't help but admire the beautiful Manehattan skyline in the sunset.
- >The massive steel and concrete buildings shown with radiance in the sinking sunlight.
- >But the one thing that you loved the most was that there were no squadrons of bombers coming to level the city.
- >This world was peaceful, accepting.
- >Unlike yours.
- >You almost wanted to stay, but you knew that you shouldn't.
- >But, it seems like you have no choice for now.
- >Maybe if you found out more about...
- >"Anon! I'm ordering room service! What do you want to eat." Trixie shout from her room.
- >Your stomach grumbles at that.
- >When was the last time you had eaten?
- >Well, no better time than now.
- I'm gonna try to make flashback dream. I'm gonna try to make it different than Anons usual flashbacks.
- >You fell asleep shortly after dinner.
- >But sleep was an understatement.
- >You were dreaming, and it was not good.
- >You were back in the LCA landing craft, chugging across the English Channel towards the Omaha Beachhead.
- >You looked around at the young faces all around you, and you knew that they were not going to make it.
- >Mortars screeched across the sky, splashing into the waters around you.
- >Machine gun fire was closer now, the sounds of craft ahead of you hitting the beach.
- >You gripped your rifle tighter.
- >Somebody coughed.
- >Bullets began pinging off of the craft as it approached the beach.
- >Touchdown, the hatch opened
- >Already, a good amount of the men in the craft with you were gunned down.
- >You charges out, firing at any target that you saw fit.
- >Throwing yourself to the ground to avoid the machine gun fire, you notice something.
- >Trixie was there on the beach with your fellow soldiers.
- >She was charging, firing her magic beans at the Germans.
- >She was going to get herself killed.
- "Trixie!" You shout, "Get down!"
- >She couldn't hear you.
- >You charge over to her, risking your life to make sure hers doesn't get taken.
- >Suddenly, the black beast from Ponyville charged over the German line, trampling American soldiers.
- >It swatted Trixie out of its way effortlessly, and turned its gaze towards you.
- >Trixie wasn't moving, and neither could you.
- >You were frozen.
- >This wasn't how it happened.
- >This wasn't right.
- >You lived.
- >You were still alive.
- >You were alive.
- >You were.
- >"Anon, wake up!"
- >You sat up in the bed, your left side in pain.
- >"You were shouting so loud that I could hear you in the the other room." Trixie said. "Are you all right?"
- >Were you all right?
- "I'm fine."
- >"Are you sure?"
- "I'm. Fine."
- >"If you say so." And she left.
- >But were you fine?
- >Were you really?
- >That dream had shaken you up.
- >Sure, you had dreams like that before, but this one was much more different.
- >What really shook you, was how differently you felt afterward.
- >It was the first time since you've gotten here that your side was in pain, and it's the first time that you really questioned your reason for being here.
- >Why are you here?
- >How exactly did you get here?
- >These are questions that may never be answered.
- >Unless you finally figure out why there are Swasticas and Nazi ponies here.
- >But what if there was no real explanation.
- >What if this was all a dream?
- >What if you're unconscious on a battlefield somewhere, your squad trying wake you up?
- >There were too many unknowns.
- >You missed the war, it was much more simple.
- >Your enemy was the guy shooting at you.
- >But even that was no as simple after thinking about it.
- >Nothing ever is.
- >"Are you just going to stare at your food?" Trixie asked. "Should I leave you two alone?"
- "No, I-I'm fine."
- >"You've been saying that an awful lot." Trixie took a sip from some orange juice she was levitating. "And I don't think it's me that you're trying to convince."
- "I don't know what's wrong."
- >"And that necessitates being 'fine'?"
- "I don't know."
- >"Well, whatever your problem is, you better deal with it. You're the only one with an idea of what's going on, and now you're going insane."
- "I have no idea what is going on!"
- >"You know better than I do, that's for sure. So get over it. From what I see, there's a problem bigger than how you feel!"
- >You sighed and looked back at your breakfast. Trixie rolled her eyes and went to her room.
- >Trixie was right. You need to get over it.
- >Answers come in time.
- >Hopefully, they'll come soon.
- >Once again, you and Trixie wandered around Manehattan for the day.
- >You followed clues to dead ends, the trail getting colder by the hour.
- >Disheartened, you both retreated back to the hotel you were staying at.
- >The receptionist at the front desk called you over.
- >"Some ponies in snazzy black uniforms came looking for you guys." She said.
- "What did you tell them?"
- >"I gave them your room number. Said you were out."
- "Did they leave?"
- >"Not that I saw."
- >You were going to have guests.
- >You and Trixie took the stairs, knowing that they might be waiting for you at the elevator.
- >Carefully, you two ascended the flights to your floor.
- >Pistol ready, you crept down the hallway.
- >No movement.
- >Where were they?
- >You had Trixie use her magic to open the door so you both not stand in front of the door as it opened,
- >The main room was clear.
- >Two ponies in black uniforms with red armbands popped out from your room, levitating rifles.
- >German Gewehr rifles.
- >"Weapons down, hands up, and no magic." The tan one ordered.
- >Were the weapons loaded?
- >They must be if they had made them.
- >You slowly placed your pistol on the ground, and slid your Rifle off your shoulder and on the floor.
- "Who are you?"
- >"We're here to stop you." Said the green pony.
- >"We've already sacrificed our Manehattan office to throw you off, we're not going to lose anymore."
- >"What are you doing?" Trixie looking around for someway to fight back.
- >"We're working to establish a new world."
- "Oh don't start with this master race bullshit."
- >"And that's why you need to die." Tan pony said.
- >Trixie used her magic to pull the trigger on your rifle.
- >The sound of the shot startled the two untrained ponies, and Trixie as well.
- >But you were used to it.
- >You picked up your rifle, firing another shot.
- >You hit the green pony in the chest, severely wounding him.
- >Tan pony ducked back into the room.
- >Trixie teleported into the room while you were reloading.
- >She tackled the pony, both of them falling to the ground.
- >They struggled in a heaping mess, both moving too much for you to get a clean shot.
- >Tan pony head butted, but she responded by hitting him in the face with a hoof.
- >You ran over and butted him with your rifle, knocking him out cold.
- >These ponies were equipped like soldiers, but they were not trained to fight a real soldier.
- >Especially not a Ranger.
- >Trixie stood got up, shaking her head.
- "You alright?"
- >"I'm fine."
- >You smiled for the first time that day.
- >"This is a new... experience for me."
- "Nobody is ever ready for their first fight."
- >"Maybe you can tell me about how yours went, then."
- "This was nothing compared to Normandy." You said. "But we've got bigger problems at the moment."
- >"Maybe our new friend can help us with them."
- "After we explain the banging to the hotel staff that is."
- >"Well just have the Princess pay for all the damages." Trixie began tying up the unconscious tan pony.
- >Trixie waved away the Manehattan police with the letter from Celestia.
- >They left you two alone with your new friend.
- "Back home, we have rules and people trained for the ethical treatment of prisoners."
- >The tan pony just blinked at you.
- "Unfortunately for you, we're not there, and I'm trained for that kind of work."
- >You punched the pony, his head snapping back.
- >Tied to a chair, he had no where to go.
- "Let's start with something easy, who are you."
- >Silence. You hit him again.
- "Talk."
- >Still silent. While a terrible soldier, the pony did know how to keep mum.
- >You hit him again. And again.
- >"Is that all you've got?" He spat.
- "I know what you're doing. I've seen prisoners do it all the time. You want me to kill you. But I won't give you that pleasure."
- >He turned his head away.
- >You hit him again.
- "Do you know what you're fighting for?"
- >The silence was deafening.
- >The sound of your hand slamming his face was too.
- "Do you?"
- >"The master race. A purification of all pony kind."
- "Do you even know what that means?"
- >"The unicorns shall take their rightful place as the rulers of Equestria."
- "And do you know how the people you're supporting will go about doing that?"
- >He was silent again. But this time, out of ignorance.
- "Here, let me show you."
- >You walked over to the door, letting Trixie in.
- "I think it's time our friend here took a shower."
- >You threw the pony into the shower as though he were a rag doll.
- >Tossing a bar of soap at him, you made a sound of disgust.
- "Wash up asshole."
- >Confused, the tan pony began squirming.
- >On queue, Trixie began a using a magic spell to choke the tan pony.
- "You see, I've been in the camps, you haven't."
- >The pony looked at you, fear in his eyes.
- "I've seen what your friends are capable of doing."
- >Inb4 the Holocaust was a lie
- >Inb4 Hitler did nothing wrong
- "The poor, starving people were thrown into a shower, and gassed."
- >The tan pony began to lose color in his face.
- >Trixie stopped her spell.
- >Tan pony gasped and coughed as air went back into his lungs.
- "You have no idea what you're fighting for. You have no idea what the Nazis are, do you? You're just some kid that decided to join a funny little club."
- >"Happy Farms distribution center." He gasped. "Tomorrow night."
- "I knew you'd see things my way."
- >"Happy Farms?" Trixie said. "I think they make farming equipment."
- "Do they work with metal there?"
- >"Lots I believe."
- >You couldn't help but think about what you were doing.
- >You had just beaten the shit out of a horse dressed like the Gestapo, and shot to death two others.
- >And you were lost in a land where magic was normal and nobody gave you a second look for being different.
- >With no way home, you were being forced to solve the mystery of why...
- >What was that?
- >There a slight thud.
- >Almost like far off artillery.
- >Did the ponies have that?
- >Another thud.
- "Trixie, do you hear that?"
- >"Yes, what is it."
- >Not good.
- >It sounded like it was getting closer.
- >There was a knocking at the door.
- >It was a Manehattan police pony.
- >"We're evacuating the city."
- "What? Why?"
- >"Just go!"
- >You made your way down to the lobby, where you saw police in the streets direct the ponies in one direction.
- >Confusion was in the air as the thudding got louder.
- >You reached a rally point in an airport like area.
- >Demanding to see who was in charge, you were taken to Twilight and the police chief.
- >"Anon, we were investigating and we saw them enchant a Dragon."
- "A what?"
- >There was an explosion off in the city.
- >Something was tearing down buildings.
- >Something strong enough to tear down a steel building was definitely not going to be stopped by your lowly Garand.
- "What do you plan on doing about this?"
- >"Evacuate the city."
- >"Then what?" Trixie asked.
- >"I don't know."
- >Manehattan was fucked.
- >Equestria was fucked.
- >You were fucked.
- >Everuthing was fucked.
- >And there was nothing you could do to stop it.
- >"Well hello there, Herr Anon."
- >You turned around to find another one of the Gestapo ponies.
- >"I'm glad that we can finally have a chance to talk in civility."
- "Civility?"
- >"Civility?" Trixie said.
- >"Civility?" Twilight said.
- >"Yes, I believe we got off on the wrong hoof."
- "That's and overstatement, your men tried to kill me and Trixie!"
- >"They acted outside of my best wishes." He said, his voice like silk. "I'm assuming they received the punishment they deserved."
- >Damn right they did.
- >"What are you doing here now?" Twilight asked. "Don't you think you've done enough."
- >"The dragon was an... Experiment that we're here to put an end to."
- "And how do you plan on doing that?"
- >"The weapons of your world are very effective on the creatures of ours."
- "What. Are. You. Doing."
- >"Just watch." He smiled.
- >Looking out at the city, you saw the shape of a massive black beast smashing buildings.
- >But then, you saw something much smaller, and much more scary.
- >"Citizens of Manehattan!" The Gestapo pony shouted. "Watch as this fearsome beast is put down."
- >What looked like mechanical contraptions to the ponies, were moving up and down the Manhattan streets, towed by the buffalo slaves from Appaloosa.
- >To you, they were Panzer tanks, moving in a formation to attack the beast from multiple sides.
- >This was it.
- >Equestria was more fucked now than it was before.
- >The tanks fired their guns at the beast.
- >Shells slammed the beast, causing it to roar in pain.
- >"Watch as your friends of the Equestria Nazi party aid you through this darkest of times."
- >The beast fell after another volley, the attack catching it off guard.
- >This was it, you've lost.
- >"Support us as we sweep across this nation, saving the land from these horrible, and undesirable, beasts."
- >Could this really be it?
- >Is your mission coming to an end so quickly?
- >No.
- >You know that they're the ones behind this
- >The crowd cheered for the Nazi pony.
- >"See Herr Anon. Civility."
- "I will stop you."
- >"Not if the people have anything to say about it."
- >He walked away, chuckling to himself.
- >You watched as the Nazi pony walked away.
- >You wanted to shoot him.
- >You wanted him dead.
- >But not with the people on his side.
- >"Anon, what just happened?" Twilight was astonished at what just happened.
- "Tanks. German Panzers. Heavy vehicles meant to take down heavy targets."
- >"We can stop those, right?" Trixie asked.
- "We'll need explosives or another tank."
- >Something that you didn't have much of.
- >"They're powered by the buffalo, maybe if we..." Twilight stopped.
- "Killed them? I'm sure that's what they expect. Maybe even want us to do."
- >"How is murdering innocents part of a plan?" Twilight asked.
- "It's been so far. If they have the ammo and schematics for a Panzer, than they have the fuel to run it without being towed."
- >"So is that why they've been meeting at that farm equipment factory?" Trixie asked.
- >"It makes sense..." Twilight tapped a hood on her chin. "After all, metal work like that would be unsuspicious in a metal working factory."
- >"No doubt being made by the slaves they had in the cave in Appaloosa."
- "Sounds like the Germany back home."
- >"And how did you stop them?"
- "We didn't. Not yet, anyway. We were clear before I came here."
- >"The Princess needs to know what's going on. Now."
- >"No! We need to find out how how how they're accomplishing all of this!" Trixie said.
- >You needed to know what was going.
- >No more fucking around, you were going to end this.
- "Twilight, you can go to the Princess. We're going to investigate that factory."
- >"What? By yourselves?"
- "Be careful, Our new friends might want to keep you quiet. There's no telling what they will do."
- >"But-"
- >You already started walking back into the city, Trixie following close behind.
- >It wasn't hard to find the factory, after all, it was recently decorated with the signature red Swastica flag and patrolled by armed guards.
- >You were stopped by one of the gaurds, a purple mare with an air of authority.
- >She was not a Unicorn.
- >"You must be Herr Anon." She said.
- "Who wants to know?"
- >The urge to shoot the enemy before you was unbearable.
- >"Obbergruppenführer Wave Crest knew that you would come and has requested that to take you to him."
- >"He knew?" Trixie asked.
- >"He will explain more. I have bee ordered to escort you through to his office."
- >The purple mare in black SS garb led both you and Trixie around the building to an entrance in the back.
- >The entrance opened up to the offices of the regions SS head officers.
- >At the very top floor was Wave Crest's office.
- >Inside was the blue unicorn that you back at the evacuation area.
- >"I'm glad to see that you decided to come and visit us, Herr Anon and Frau Trixie."
- "Cut the shit, what is going on here?"
- >"We're simply working towards the betterment of Equestria."
- >"By unleashing beasts and slaughtering civilians so you can play hero?" Trixie fumed. "I know an act when I see one!"
- >"I honestly don't know what you are talking about."
- "Cut the shit."
- >You reached for your pistol.
- >"Herr Anon, I can assure you that those beasts are simply experiments of Obergruppenführer Grape Vine's Wunderwaffe-"
- "They have your people's name written all over them!"
- >"We have proof that your people were behind the dragon beast!"
- >He actually looked shocked at that.
- >"Do you have this proof with you?" He asked.
- >"We don't, but somepony else does." Trixie looked to you.
- "Twilight has it."
- >"Princess Sparkle?" Wave Crest tapped his chin. "I am interested, but I please ask that you leave now. Maybe we can speak some other time, no?"
- "Something come up?"
- >"Interviews mostly. I am the head of our Panzerkampfwagen section that put down the beast."
- "I've got my eye on you."
- >"And I as well, Herr Anon."
- >"I don't believe that he knows what's really going on."
- "He's lying."
- >"I can tell when someone is putting on an act. He most certainly doesn't know anything."
- >If Trixie was right, and the higher ups in the organization were lying to Wave Crest, then you might be a possible ally.
- "If you're right, then we need to prove that he's bowman used."
- >"He mentioned who the pony behind the experiments is."
- >Obergruppenführer Grape Vine.
- >Wunderwaffe.
- >Obviously, they were creating the beasts across the country, but they had to be working on more than just that.
- >No doubt they have a prototypes of the Panzer tanks and the Gewhrer rifles.
- >And God only knows what else they have inside.
- >You wouldn't be surprised if they were building Luftwaffe airplanes.
- >"What do you think we should do?"
- "We try to get some proof for Wave Crest."
- >"But how? Where can we even find her?"
- >Good question.
- >Then you remembered your new friend that you had a nice chat with earlier.
- "I have idea as to what we can do, but first, we should go back and ask a few more questions to the fellow back at the hotel."
- >That was the easy part.
- >You couldn't help but regret that the next step was to throw Trixie back into the lion's den.
- >Trixie marched towards the front entrance to the building, decorated with the red flags.
- >On the outside, she was confident and intimidating, the sharp uniform demanding the respect of the ponies around her.
- >On the inside, she was desperately hoping that it the plan worked.
- >After Anon had beaten the location of the Wunderwaffe experiments out of the tan pony, he later out the plan that he had to provide proof to Wave Crest.
- >Trixie was going to go in to the building alone to get something that could possibly help.
- >And hopefully not get captured.
- >The front guards stopped her, aiming a rifle at her.
- >"Who are you and why are you here." She ordered.
- >"Sturmscharführer Lulamoon" Trixie said, holding out her right foreleg in a convincingly strong salute. "I bring a message from Obergruppenführer Wave Crest for Obergruppenführer Grape Vine."
- >Please fall for it.
- >"So be it."
- >Trixie entered the building, passing the point of no return.
- >This was it; steal some files or notes and get back to Anon.
- >But what was important?
- >Most everything here was written in a different language.
- >Trixie had no concept of what was or wasn't important here.
- >Many of the guards were Unicorns, but the higher up, unarmed officers were Earth ponies.
- >Not a Pegasus in sight.
- >Trixie found a room that just gave her a feeling.
- >She nonchalantly entered the room as if that was where she intended to go all along.
- >Only one pony gave her a second look, although that look may have been at her behind.
- >She had to admit, the uniform did fit her just fine.
- >Inside the room was what appeared to be information on the corruption medallions, even what seemed to be a layout of where they would be released.
- >Trixie gathered the information that appeared important to her.
- >Somepony cleared their throat behind her.
- >She was found out.
- >Trixie turned, trying to appear official.
- >There was an Earth Pony officer. Standing in the door way.
- >It was the pony that had checked her out in the hallway.
- >"What are you doing in here Frauline?" He demanded
- >"I am Stu-"
- >"I did not ask your name, I asked what you are doing."
- >Oh no.
- >"I'm gathering notes for Ober-"
- >"You do not have permission for those notes. You are not a member of my team on this project. What. Are. You. Doing."
- >"I was given permission by-"
- >"You told the guard that you are here to deliver a message to the Obergruppenführer."
- >"I did no-"
- >"Where is your identification."
- >"I don't-"
- >"Cutie Mark." He ordered. "Now."
- >Oh no.
- >Trixie moved the uniform to reveal her Cutie Mark.
- >"Ah, Frau Trixie." He said. "Glad to finally meet you."
- >What?
- >"I've been a fan of yours for a good time now."
- >He shut the door, approaching Trixie.
- >"Always a pleasure to meet a fan." Trixie said, trying to stay calm.
- >"No, the pleasure is all mine."
- >Wait, what?
- >"I should have you killed, but I believe that we can arrange to make a deal, no?"
- >Trixie did not trust the pony's smile.
- >"What, pray tell might that be?"
- >"Here, allow me to show you."
- >Trixie wished that Anon was there.
- >No.
- >Nonononono
- >Trixie knew enough about anatomy to know that the stallion had no intention of beating her.
- >At least, not at first.
- >Trixie began to back up until she hit the wall.
- >"You going the wrong direction, mein freund."
- >Trixie couldn't shoot him, she'll alert the whole building to her presence.
- >Teleportation might cause her to end up in a place that will get her in even more trouble.
- >Calling for help was out of the question, as it just called the guards over to arrest her.
- >"You'll be fine, Frau Trixie." He said, running a hoof on across her cheek.
- >Trixie made a snap decision.
- >"The Great and Powerful Trixie is not your personal pin cushion!"
- >Trixie delivered a swift left hook to the stallions face, stunning him.
- >She pushed past him, running to the door and hoping for a miracle.
- >The pony swiveled and grabbed the end of her tail with his teeth, trying to pull her back.
- >Trixie bucked him in the mouth, causing him to let go.
- >She through herself against the metal door to attract attention, hoping her plan worked.
- >The stallion jumped on top of Trixie, knocking her to the ground.
- >"Alright hündin, nopony is coming to save you." The stallion said, looking at the door.
- >Is this what Anon had saved Trixie from in the Apploosian mountain cave?
- >Trixie had always feared something like this in her life as a traveling magician.
- >And now it was going to happen.
- >The stallion prepared himself for the act, taking position.
- >The door opened, a purple, earth pony mare standing in uniform, and none too happy.
- >"Oberführer!" She shouted. "What is going on in here!"
- >"Obergruppenführer Grape Vine!" The stallion was caught in the act by his commanding officer.
- >"I'm growing tired of your scheiße!"
- >"But-"
- >"Enough of your excuses!" She was getting angrier as she spoke. "Your acts with the subjects was barely tolerable, but with a member of the party? I'm putting my hoof down!"
- >The stallion stepped off of Trixie, his turn to back away and hide.
- >"She-"
- >"She is another victim of your vile libido! I asked you to escort her to my office! Not escort her to your penis!"
- >The Oberführer shrank as he was berated.
- >The Grape Vine turned to two guards in the hallway. "Take him away."
- >After he was gone, the Grape Vine turned to Trixie.
- >"I will speak with you in my office."
- >Grape Vine sat at her desk, placed in front of a very large Swastica flag.
- >"Normally I would have you file a report and make a statement, but this time, I'm not even going to bother with him."
- >"This isn't the first time he's done this?" Trixie asked, still a little shaken.
- >"Usually it's with one of the subjects in the lower levels, so I can't say I could do much."
- >"What will you do with him now?"
- >"Make sure he never violates another mare again."
- >Death didn't sound like an option.
- >Too many possibilities, all too good for him.
- >"But, that is now in the past, and I heard that you bring a message from Obergruppenführer Wave Crest, nein?"
- >Trixie had, understandably, almost forgotten her task.
- >"Oh, yes, apologies."
- >Trixie struggled to piece together a message, her brain struggling to stay on a single track.
- >"Obergruppenführer Wave Creat wishes to know more about the progress on your beast project and when it will-"
- >Grape Vine slammed a hoof on her desk.
- >"No offense, mein freund, but tell that pompous ass to keep his nosy blue muzzle out of mein Wunderwaffe!"
- >The message had touched a nerve, and confirmed to Trixie that Wave Crest knew nothing about the beasts.
- >"He does nothing but complain about the prototype Tiger program, the prototype Luftwaffe program... He should stay out of mein work and concentrate on the task that the Oberst-Gruppenführer has given him!"
- >Under her breath she added "He's lucky to have that."
- >"I will... Relay your message." Trixie gave a shaky salute.
- >Grape Vine sighed, bringing a hoof to her face.
- >"Would you like an escort out?"
- >From the sound of it, she probably should have had one in as well.
- >"That would be... Nice."
- >Trixie came back to the building in Dodge City that you were hiding out in.
- >Her uniform was ruffled, her mane and tail was mess.
- >It looked like she had gotten attacked.
- "What happened?"
- >"I- I got the information."
- >She put down some paper covered in German writing.
- "Are you all right?"
- >"I'm fine."
- "No you're not."
- >You reached out in an attempt to comfort her.
- >She swatted you away.
- >"I'm fine!"
- "You sound like me."
- >She looked away, beginning to remove the uniform.
- >You say and watched her.
- "Hill four hundred."
- >Trixie stopped to look at you. "What?"
- "Hill four hundred. Lost a good friend there."
- >You remembered the letter from Peter Wacowski to his father.
- >Trixie stopped to listen.
- "Hill 400 was a German artillery position in the Hürtgen Forest. Our job as Rangers to capture that hill and hold it. The entire hill provided a view point of the entire forest, allowing the Krauts a viewpoint of our forces throughout the entire forest."
- >"And your friend?"
- "Bullet through the lung. He died in my arms as I tried to drag him to a medic. He gave me a letter to give his father."
- >You showed Trixie Peter's letter.
- "That's what I've been through, Trixie. I've watched good men blown apart and die choking on their own blood. Mines and tanks and bombs and bullets."
- >Trixie started to say something.
- >"One of the ponies inside, he-"
- "Don't worry about it. As long as you're still alive, just keep moving and make sure whatever happened doesn't hold you back."
- >On your way to the train station, you were stopped by a Canterlot guard, saying that you were being called back to the castle right away.
- >Sounding urgent, you and Trixie made a detour back to Canterlot right away.
- >The entire ride was quiet, neither of you speaking.
- >You were personally escorted to the Princess, your weapons confiscated again.
- >"I'm glad you made it here before they did." Twilight said, before you entered the main throne room.
- >They?
- >The Princess didn't appear as though there were any pressing matters.
- >"You are aware of the current situation, no?" She asked.
- >"Only what we've seen ourselves." Trixie said.
- >"Manehattan was the big show, but this new party has been making its presence known all across Equestria, winning the hearts of ponies everywhere."
- >That sounds familiar.
- >The court announcer introduced a new party.
- >"Oberst-Groopinfurvor-" He struggled with the unfamiliar word.
- >"It's Oberst-Gruppenführer, schwein." The white earth pony corrected.
- >The blonde pony wore a much sharper and ornate uniform than her two Obergruppenführer escorts.
- >"Good afternoon, mein princess." She introduced her self with a swift bow.
- >Celestia nodded to the pony. "Good afternoon to you ass well, miss...?"
- >"Now where are mein manners?" She chuckled. "I am the Oberst-Gruppenführer of the Equestrian Schutzstaffel of the National Socialist German Workers party."
- >Was the introduction really necessary?
- >"But you can just call me Oberst-Gruppenführer Aryanne. I'd like to talk to you about the recent happenings across Equestria, if you don't mind."
- >"I think I've met her before." Trixie whispered to you.
- >Aryanne spoke up, demanding the attention of the entire room.
- >"Mein Princess, I'm sure that you are aware of the recent emergence of fearsome beasts all across Equestria."
- >"I'm aware that you played a part in their creation."
- >Aryanne pretended to be shocked. "Nein! Obergruppenführer Grape was attempting to tame them for some sort of recreational use!"
- >"Recreational use?"
- >"Beasts of burden. Replace the hard work done by the Earth ponies."
- >"And you wanted to breed them for this role?" Celestia raised an eyebrow.
- >"Of course! But, alas, they cannot be controlled."
- >"I didn't notice." Celestia rooked her eyes. The rest of the room chuckled.
- >"What I am suggesting is an opportunity to right our wrong and dispose of these beasts properly."
- >"And how do you propose doing that?"
- >"We, the National Socialist German Workers party, have the effective tools to properly deal with these abominations."
- >"And you need my permission to do so?"
- >"Nein! I am offering to have your forces properly trained and equipped to combat this threat!"
- >And spread their message throughout the nation with the princess's blessing.
- >"So you want control of Equestria's army?"
- >"Only with your permission, mein Princess." Aryanne took a bow.
- >Celestia took a moment to think.
- >Was she actually considering this bitch's proposition?
- >Was Equestria really to suffer the same fate of Germany?
- >"I will need some time to mull it over."
- >Oh thank god.
- >"Of course, mein Princess. Such decisions are not to be made so quickly."
- >Aryanne and her two escorts turned and left.
- >At that moment, you wished you put a bullet into her white flank as it retreated out of the throne room.
- >The door to the throne room shut.
- "Don't you dare believe a single fucking word that she said!"
- >You couldn't believe that damn pony.
- >She was using the beasts as pawn in a scheme. She had to be.
- >"Without proper evidence-"
- >You held out the bates that Trixie stole from the Wunderwaffe.
- >Most of the notes were in English, but the parts that looked important were in German.
- >You just hoped that the Germaniegh and Germany had similar languages.
- >Celestia levitated the notes over and began reading them.
- >"Most of this, we already know."
- >No shit.
- >"However, this other language is bit more difficult to understand."
- "It's German, Trixie got the notes from their research base."
- >"The language looks similar to Germaniegh, but I'll need some time to translate."
- >"We don't have time!" Trixie shouted. "They're animals! They destroyed pars of Manehattan to prove their strength! They've enslaved the Buffalo to power their vehicles!"
- >"Trixie's right!" Twilight added. "I saw them place one of those medallions on the dragon. They can't be trusted."
- >Celestia raised a hoof.
- >"I understand your concerns, but for now, I must do what's best for my little ponies."
- "Are you insane? They're going to come looking to take your crown, wether you like it or not."
- >"I know the dangers, but the rest of Equestria does not. They see helpful ponies trying to make a difference."
- >"It's an act! They're just trying sway their audience to the side they want! I've done it many times!" Trixie said.
- >"Political propaganda a common place, Trixie."
- >"I remember seeing that Aryanne at Dodge City once." Trixie revealed. "Her and her gang of Earth ponies threatened me to never come back."
- >"And why was that Trixie?" Twilight snapped.
- >"Because I was a Unicorn."
- "But they have unicorn ponies working for them."
- >"When I was in their building, all of their higher ranks were Earth ponies. Grape Vine said that Wave Crest was lucky to have his position."
- "Then why give an important rank to some one that you didn't even like?"
- >"I think that you should pay this Wave Crest a visit." Celestia said, a sly smile on her lips.
- >It's about damn time.
- >And so you were off to Manehattan again, this time, looking to make a new friend.
- >Trixie was almost excited to begin the end of this.
- >"With Wave Crest on our side, we'll have the power of their entire tank-"
- "We shouldn't count our chickens before they hatch."
- >Trixie cocked her head.
- >"What do you mean?"
- "Aryanne probably didn't put him in charge of she didn't think that she couldn't control him."
- >"What are you saying?"
- "What I'm saying is that she picked a stupid, loyal pony that she could bend to do her will."
- >You wouldn't be surprised if she was sleeping with him to keep him loyal.
- >Convincing him might be harder than just passing over a couple of papers.
- >And that is considering that he'll even let you back into the building to talk to him in the first place.
- >It took you and Trixie about an hour to travel from the train station to the factory.
- >The guard informed you that Obergruppenführer Wave Crest was waiting for you.
- >Once again, you took a back entrance to his office.
- >Waiting inside, was three armed guards, weapons aimed at you and Trixie.
- >The guard that escorted you to the office aimed her weapon as well.
- >"It's about time you came to visit, Herr Anon." Aryanne was sitting at Wave Crest's desk.
- >You were ready to go down, guns blazing.
- >"Please put your weapons down, we have much to discuss." She offered. "Or don't."
- >"Where's Wave Cr-" Trixje began.
- >"Obergruppenführer Wave Crest is waiting for us downstairs. Let's not keep him waiting."
- >You felt the butt of a rifle smack you on the back of your head.
- >Yiu fell to the ground as the world went dark.
- >You awoke, your head throbbing.
- >Your left side was crying out in pain.
- >You squirmed in the chair that you were tied to, trying your best to calm the pain.
- >"Ah, Herr Anon, you're awake."
- >You are in a room with Aryanne and a couple of guards.
- >Trixie was no where to be found.
- >"You see Anon, I was under under orders from the Reichsführer to have you executed," Aryanne explained, "But I have some questions that I want answered."
- "Reichsführer? There's another pony higher up than you?"
- >"Not a pony, Herr Anon."
- >Who? It couldn't be the man that you were thinking of right now. He couldn't be here with you.
- >"You see, Herr Anon, when I was growing up in Germaniegh, I came across a book that shared my cutie mark. I decided to use it as a personal journal."
- >"But one day, the book had writing in it that I did not make. According to the source that I went to, the book can communicate with a version of itself in different worlds."
- "Let me guess, someone on the other side in Germany."
- >"Not just anyone, Herr Anon. The book only works for certain individuals. I'm lucky that Reichsführer Himmler was delivered the book, or none of this would be possible."
- "So you're working for the party."
- >She smiled.
- >"Now, we're going to ask you some questions."
- "Good luck getting an answer, bitch."
- >Aryanne put her face a couple inches from yours, staring you in the eyes.
- >"I have ways of making people talk."
- >She turned and shouted "Bringen Sie die Hure!"
- >Obergruppenführer Wave Crest entered, bringing Trixie in with him.
- >She was tied to a chair as well, mouth covered.
- >"So tell me about yourself. Where are you from."
- "Go fuck yourself."
- >"Wrong answer."
- >You could only sit and watch as a guard hit Trixie with his rifle.
- >"Now, Herr Anon, I'll ask you again."
- >What the fuck is her problem?
- >Trixie has nothing to do with the war.
- >She is not fighting the Germans.
- >But she is.
- >You dragged her into this.
- >Had she not went with you, she would be safe and back in her wagon doing magic shows.
- >But now she's here.
- >Getting beaten to make you talk.
- >You've brought nothing but trouble upon her.
- >"Are you really going to let her die here?" Aryanne asked. "After all you too have done?"
- >You stayed silent as Trixie started at you.
- >It was just like your dream.
- >Trixie was in danger, and you couldn't save her.
- >"Is that why you've dragged her along? To do the things that you can't?"
- >Silence.
- >"She's been captured and beaten and raped and nearly killed with you around."
- "I'll kill you."
- >"No, Herr Anon," Aryanne shook her head, "You're going to kill Trixie."
- >More silence.
- >"You're going to cause her death. You said that you protect civilians, you save them from danger, no matter the cost to yourself."
- >Aryanne walked over to Trixie, looking her over.
- >"Are you willing to risk the lives of people you'll never see again in exchange for just one little blue unicorn."
- "She isn't just a unicorn."
- >"Oh really?" Aryanne cocked her head. "Then what is she?"
- "She's the Great and Powerful Trixie. If rather we both die here than let many more die back at home."
- >Aryanne frowned.
- >"Then I am truly sorry, Herr Anon."
- >She turned to Wave Crest.
- >"Tötet die Hure und die menschliche."
- >Obergruppenführer Wave Crest pulled out his sidearm.
- >"Orf wad" Trixe mumbled under the cloth strip wrapped around her mouth.
- >Aryanne looked back to Trixie.
- >"Wie war das?" She asked.
- >Wave Crest shrugged and removed her gag.
- >"Or what?" Trixie shouted.
- >"What's the supposed to mean, Hure?" Aryanne asked.
- >"You want him to kill us, but what will you do if he doesn't."
- >"I shall have him shot."
- >"By you?"
- >"By the unicorn."
- >"Then the Unicorns have the real power here then."
- >Aryanne stomped a hoof.
- >"Nein! The Earth ponies do!"
- "Is that why all your superior officers are Earth ponies? And why you've been lying to your only Unicorn officer?"
- >Wave Crest holstered his pistol. "Yes, Oberst-Grüppenfuhrer, explain to me why all of the unicorns that deserve a promotion get rejected by you."
- >Aryanne looked stunned.
- >"I told you this would happen." Said the purple Obergruppenführer. "Unicorns are smart, you can't lie to them forever."
- >"Ruhe!" Aryanne shouted. "Guards, arrest shoot them! Unmittelbar!"
- >The unicorn guards pretended not to hear.
- >The Purple mare turned to the guards. "Take this white Stück Müll away. She's just going to get in our way."
- "Get in the way of what?"
- >"Cleaning up her mess."
- >The purple mare left with two guards dragging away Aryanne.
- >Wave Crest began the process untiring you and Trixie.
- >"What are going to do now?" Trixie asked.
- >"You ask that like I'm leaving the party."
- "You're not?"
- >"Why would I? I'm going to continue to do what I've been doing. Making weapons and vehicles to help Equestria."
- >"And you're not at all worried about the party you're working for? Trixie looked stunned.
- >"I'm going to work with Obergruppenführer Grape Vine to solve this mess. Clean up the party."
- >"Make it right." He whispered.
- "Start by burning that book."
- >"I think we'll milk that book for all its worth first. Get some more information from it."
- >Free from the ropes that bonded you, you stood and stretched your stiff limbs.
- >"I-I apologize for the... Inconveniences for you two." Wave Crest apologized.
- >"We had some papers for you to read."
- >"The Oberst-Gruppenführer informed me of this, yes. She said that I was not informed of the plot to make sure I could lie with a straight face."
- "You should probably go read those papers."
- >"I'm going to do my own investigation into the mess. I'm sure that Grape Vine won't mind anymore."
- >Wave Crest turned to leave.
- >"Let me escort you out."
