- Recently I did a English Any% Normal run of Trauma Center on Wii U and I thought I would do a short write up on some of the differences I noticed. I did this run mostly on a whim but I also cleaned/treated the scratches on my English copy of Trauma Center which up until now wasn't working reliably. I'm happy to say there were no read errors during the entire run so next I'll try playing it on my Wii just to make 100% sure it's fine.
- As for the run itself, I finished with a 1:28:17 which is pretty good but I lost time on just about every split. I'm not sure if it was because the English text skipping is slower, the loading on Wii U is slower, or I really did just have a mediocre run where I lost time on each split. I'll do another Any% Normal run on English on my Wii to see whether it's the English version or the Wii U. This will also serve as a another disc read test to make sure I can fully play this game not only from start to finish but also for a prolonged period of time.
- On the topic of version differences, it would be really cool if Atlus would release Second Opinion and New Blood on the Virtual Console on Wii U. Apart from the obvious benefit of making the game more easily available to everyone, loading directly from the Wii U would be much faster than on disc which would help runners as well.
