  8. a fat Caentoi merchant
  9. Resplendent in his finery, this Caentoi merchant lounges amongst his wares.
  10. It's clear from this Caentoi merchant's manner and dress that both his wallet and his waistline are very well padded. He is dressed richly in traditional Caentoi garb; his loose, draping trousers and heavily embroidered vest are sewn from opulently patterned fabric, and his undershirt is plain but expensive linen. His fur is sleek and well-groomed, and his clawed hands rest comfortably on an extravagant money belt which drips with studs and locks.

  14. a Caentoi money-belt
  15. A colourful Caentoi money-belt lies here.
  16. Where other money belts might be designed with being inconspicuous and thus less attractive to pickpockets, this belt has been crafted in the Caentoi style, which prescribes a much different approach. The belt itself is made from thick leather, dyed a blazing red colour. Intended to fasten at the hip, the buckle is circular and richly etched with sinuous filligree. The leather of the belt widens out at the opposite hip, flattening out to an area perhaps a hand's width across onto which is sewn the money pouch. It is bright yellow, festooned with orange embroidery, studded with gold and sporting a large clasp which locks tightly when closed. On the inside of the waistband is sewn a thin strap, allowing a sheathed knife to be thrust under the belt- rather than hide the wealth, this belt displays it but provides a warning to any prospective thieves as to what might happen to someone stupid enough to try taking it.

  18. a Caentoi fighting dagger
  19. A slender Caentoi dagger gleams here.
  20. With its sinuous curve and slender blade, this Caentoi dagger is both beautiful and deadly. The blade is thin and sharpened to a razor edge, etched with filligree toward the handle. The knife posesses no crosspiece, meaning that the owner needs to be almost as careful handling it as their prospective opponent. Bright red cloth wraps the handle, secured with bands of gold and spilling from the end in an elegant crimson trail which flutters with swift movements or the breeze.
  21.
  22. an ornamental ivory sheath
  23. Gold and ivory betray the presence of filligreed ivory sheath.
  24. Designed to take a curved Caentoi-style knife, this sheath has been crafted from ivory. Its outer surface is covered in intricate leafy filligree, and banded with gold for decoration. The interior of the sheath is lined neatly with leather, and a pair of thin cords at the top allow the weapon to be secured tightly within.
  25.
  26. a richly woven Caentoi rug
  27. The intricate designs of a Caentoi rug cover the floor.
  28. Resplendent in tones of crimson and gold, this rug has been woven in Caentoi style, its design intricate and lush. Leafy filligree and designs of desert plants cover the rectangular rug with detailed decoration, a statement of wealth for anyone lucky enough to own such a masterpiece of the weaver's work.

  30. a golden bolster cushion
  31. A cylindrical cushion in gold sits here.
  32. This cylindrical bolster cushion has been sewn from heavy gold brocade, and stuffed to be firm yet comfortable. The circular edges each sport a border of gold piping, and in the center of each end a bright golden tassel has been attached, the silky embellishments adding another touch of opulence to an already rich object.
  33.
  34. a large crimson floor cushion
  35. The crimson square of a large floor cushion is here.
  36. Designed to serve the function that a chair traditionally might, this cushion is large and low, stuffed to be comfortable but not squashy. It has been sewn from bright crimson brocade, a fabric-covered button in the center couching the pillow with attractive creases. The edges are decorated with bright gold piping, and from each corner a small golden tassel dangles, making this a decorative and functional addition to any room.
  37.
  38. polished golden cuffs
  39. A pair of polished golden cuffs gleam brightly here.
  40. Hinged on one side, these cuffs are designed to snap firmly about the wrist, the join all but invisible amongst the elaborate engravings on the cuffs. Each cuff is about the width of a hand tall, protecting and decorating the wrists of the wearer. A pale inlay which looks like ivory has been set into the top and bottom edges of each cuff, adding opulence with contrast.
