- *Red Goomba needs to be inflicted with Dizzy. Because this is being done Pre-Chapter 7, Mario doesn't have Star Beam. This means that if Goomba King's ATK is buffed, it's game over without Life Shrooms (which, as you've probably noticed, I haven't been using). Red Goomba is Dizzy for 3 turns. Ideally, the others would not be inflicted so that Mario can get into Danger and KO him by Turn 4. The video doesn't show this, as they are all inflicted, but I got lucky with a Fan Smack inflicting Dizzy on Red Goomba; otherwise, I would've had a chance of the fight failing.
- Once Red Goomba is defeated, the fight is set up so that I can loop Danger/Peril with Spicy Soups. The only attack Goomba King has that deals damage in Danger with my current build is the Goomnut attack, which deals 2 damage. So, every two times he does this, use a Spicy Soup and pummel him. If Blue Goomba buffs DEF, start using Mega Quake. Nothing else deals damage to Mario besides that Goomnut attack. I focused down Goomba King before Blue Goomba, who is super-weak and not a threat at all. Dried Pasta was for if he used Goomnut before I had KO'd Red Goomba, and Spaghetti was a "just in case" full heal and I had to reset back to max HP.
