- DotaInvite moves to Battle.net
- by Onion » Thu Dec 16, 2010 3:58 pm
- You may have noticed the discussion over this matter in the last weeks and it's finally time.
- You need a battle.net account first!
- We strongly suggest you to join our games using a programm that can reconnect you to ongoing games, in case you have a 24h disconnect, your cat plugs the internet cable etc.
- It's called Gproxy++, you may know it already from other places. You may use any version of this program you like, there are several out there.
- What you will have to do is grab your warcraft keys f.e. from your current installation with this tool.
- Either start gproxy.exe and follow the steps,
- OR create (edit) the file called gproxy.cfg accordingly, an example:
- ### required config values
- war3path = C:\Warcraft III\
- cdkeyroc = 8WHM2**************
- cdkeytft = CB9JZP***************
- server = europe.battle.net
- username = Onion
- password = *********
- channel = clan di
- ### optional config values
- war3version = 24
- port = 6125
- exeversion =
- exeversionhash =
- passwordhashtype =
- ### curses config values
- ### the console buffer size / window size
- term_width = 135
- term_height = 52
- ### enable split view in realm window
- curses_splitview = 1
- ### 0: horizontal lists, 1: vertical lists
- curses_listtype = 1
- After this, start gproxy.exe and you will find yourself in the "clan di" chat channel in battle.net.
- To join a hosted game, type "/game ####", where #### is the gamenumber announced by the irc bot. <@HornyHanna> Game READY (1447) <- This number.
- Now type "/start" to start your warcraft and you will find the game in the LAN window, same as ggc.
- For now, every staff member can host a game in a second, just ask one to host if no one is added.
- Questions, problems, all in here!
