  1. Hi I heard (and can see!) mods were taking this personally and acting exactly as Manifold described in her document.
  2.
  3. Honestly, I wish the mods would be more transparent and honest, not just with users, but with the others of the mod team. It’s been years of a constant cycle of mods (and admins) coming to me complaining about what the other half of the mod team pulled (for ex. Taking a week to address Mouse’s issues, handling Red and her lack of warn, admins trying to Go Fund Me in inappropriate places., talking shit about members in semi-private chats for asking questions and trying to sincerely help but also acknowledging issues with the mod team, etc.) but the thing is, these complaints never change.
  4.
  5. It’s the same issues with the same people, and half the mod team thinks they’re better than the other half but then get upset when they’re all represented as a whole unit like they should be and you all do it in private instead of ripping the bandaid and finally moving towards healthier conversation. Half the mod team thinks the other half is a lost cause, so it’s a little mind boggling that it’s gone on this long. Has anything really changed since that first round table, years ago? I think people are happy, including members of staff, but I certainly hear my fair share of salt from many members to the point of dubiousness.
  6.
  7. Of course, this brings the question that mods (and admins) asked me: “Why do they tell you and not us?”
  8.
  9. And bluntly it’s a systemic issue that every member of staff is essentially enabling by either actively being malicious to other members of the forum/staff when they’re in a position of power, or by not having the time yet still claiming this position as a fairweather time under the pretense that it’s done for free. However, this doesn’t seem to stop these same people from not having “constant headaches” from other staff.
  10.
  11. I care about the Nuzforums like the way many of the staff tells me they do - the potential it has, the friends they make, and the unique opportunity it has to foster creativity compared to other spaces on the internet. I also haven’t been on in years.
  12.
  13. And yet it’s been dripfed to me, constantly, from 10+ sources over time, some more frequent than others. I didn’t mind until I realized how even the side I favored, most of the time, did nothing to concretely propose change and instead ride on the "well we can probably do something next time hopefully..." without actual intent when they simultaneously acknowledge both responsibility of being on staff but also that there is an issue.
  14.
  15. Staff doesn't have to like each other but it seems that they respect none but their few select friends. I'd hope as adults there'd be some level of decorum available by those signing up for this voluntary position. Mods give a questionable reputation for the mods as a whole when they try to defend themselves under the phrasing of "I'm not like other mods!" like has been done before.
