- Here are some terms currently missing from the "Vocab" function in mafia games.
- In-Game Terminology:
- AtE: Appeal to Emotion An argument intended to get a vote onto or off of a player by using arguments centered around emotion rather than logic.
- Inno: Innocent Refers to a Cop or Tracker report that would indicate that someone is aligned with the village.
- FoS: Finger of Suspicion When one player notices another player acting suspiciously, they may say that they “FoS” that player. Generally, this is used in place of voting a player that you think may be sided with the mafia, in order to let everyone be aware of your suspicion.
- Guilty: Refers to a Cop or Tracker report that would indicate that someone is aligned with the mafia.
- GY: Graveyard.
- LYLO: Lynch or Lose A situation that forces the Town to lynch the mafia or else they lose the game.
- Lynch: To lynch a player is to have the majority of votes on them so that they go to the Graveyard.
- Meteor: A function of the game where, if during three straight days and nights, if nobody is lynched or killed, a giant meteor crashes down onto the village and nobody wins. The meteor will crash down either at day or at night--whichever phase started the no-lynching or no-killing first.
- MYLO: Mislynch and Lose A situation in which, if the Town lynches wrong, then the mafia will win. Lynching no one is still an option for the village during MYLO, however.
- NC: Not Carolled A term used to let people know that you do not have or did not receive a carol. Commonly used in setups with Caroler.
- NG: Not Gunned A term used to let people know that you do not have or did not receive a gun. Most commonly used in setups with Gunsmith, Santa, or another role which gives guns.

- NL: No Lynch The majority of the players vote "no one" during the day.
